00:00A very good morning to you. Welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office.
00:04We start November with high pressure in charge and really it's not going to go very far as we go
00:09through the first fall week of the month.
00:12There is a weak weather front out there at the moment but that will quickly move off and as you
00:16can see as we go through the course of the week this high pressure doesn't go anywhere.
00:20It will eventually just drift a little bit further northwards towards the middle part of the week onwards and that
00:25will allow us to just drag in more of an easly flow across many parts of the country.
00:30Especially so across the south and with the ice bars beginning to tighten that may also increase the winds a
00:35little bit.
00:36Just enhancing the rather cool feel to things I think by the end of the week.
00:40But for most of us if you're looking for rainfall unfortunately this week is not going to really offer much
00:45at all.
00:46Back to the here and now actually we start the month off on a rather murky note across many parts
00:52of England and Wales.
00:53Some dense fog in places especially across parts of Lincolnshire into the Midlands, East Anglia and Southern England.
01:00And some of this fog will be quite slow to clear so do allow some extra time for your journeys
01:05if you are travelling this morning.
01:07Elsewhere we have this weak cold front just sinking its way southwards.
01:12Behind it plenty of sunshine for parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland and that will move into parts of Northern
01:18England as the afternoon goes on.
01:20And some of this mist and fog will gradually burn away to allow some sunshine before this cloud and patchy
01:26rain begins to sink its way further southwards into England and Wales.
01:30Temperatures for most of us reaching around the average for the first day of November.
01:36But I think if you're stuck under the cloud or even some lingering fog it will feel rather cool out
01:41there.
01:42And we'll start to notice the winds beginning to come in from the north so maybe a little bit cooler
01:46as well for parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:50Into this evening that band of cloud and patchy rain will continue to clear its way southwards.
01:56As it does so it takes the risk of any mist and fog away too.
01:59So for most of us as we go through the course of the night apart from maybe the odd mist
02:03patch it's largely clear.
02:05A few showers affecting eastern districts and notice that wind beginning to increase across eastern coasts of England and Scotland.
02:13Temperatures for most of us a little bit down on the night just gone.
02:17Could see a touch of frost across Scotland and Northern Ireland even further south.
02:21We could just see the odd pocket of grass frost come Monday morning.
02:25But for most of us on Monday we start the week really off on a fairly bright note.
02:30Again just the risk of some showers just affecting some eastern parts during the course of the day with the
02:35best of the sunshine out towards the west.
02:37Temperatures in the west generally again reaching around where they should be for the time of year.
02:42But out towards the east especially if you factor on that breeze it will start to feel a bit cooler
02:46than it has been of late.
02:48And as I mentioned as we go through the course of the week high pressure really remains in charge.
02:52So what we see tomorrow really is what we're going to see during the course of the rest of the
02:58week.
02:58But you can find out more information about the weather where you are for the coming days on our website
03:02or our app.
03:03But for me for now take care and I'll see you again soon.
