00:00Hello there, good morning. High pressure over the weekend meant many of us were able to
00:05enjoy some spring sunshine and high pressure will continue to impact our weather this week
00:09but in a slightly different way. Now before I get on to that, let's talk about this morning
00:14because it's a fairly chilly start out there but mostly dry and bright for many areas.
00:18Through the course of the day though, we'll eventually start to see fair weather cloud
00:21bubble up and this could be thick enough to produce some showers. Quite unsettled across
00:26Scotland, some longer spells of rain skirting their way southwestwards across Scotland and
00:31elsewhere across northern and central England, parts of the southeast and also Wales will
00:35also start to see some showers through the course of the afternoon. But actually across
00:39the south, across Northern Ireland, another dry afternoon ahead with the return of some
00:44sunshine and still feeling rather pleasant in the sun across the far south. Highs reaching
00:49around 15 degrees Celsius here but a little chillier across any north sea coasts. Highs
00:54only around 10 to 11 degrees Celsius. Now through the evening there will continue to be some
01:00rain and some showers for a time. Any rain across Scotland turning largely light and patchy
01:05through the course of the night and most showers sometimes banding together to bring some slightly
01:10longer spells of rain across Scotland, northern parts of England but actually elsewhere more
01:14scattered in nature bringing some clearer spells in between. Now in sheltered spots once again
01:19we could reach around freezing creating a rural frost for a time but actually most towns and cities will
01:25be around the mid single figures. Now first thing on Tuesday there could still be some showery outbreaks
01:31at times but the easterly wind really starting to pick up on Tuesday. That should move away any showers
01:36across the west and actually by the afternoon it'll be mostly dry with a return of some sunshine. The
01:42difference is on Tuesday it's probably going to be feeling that bit cooler. Once again that easterly breeze
01:48developing just knocking off some of the temperatures around eastern area so feeling cooler here and
01:52despite fairly similar values across the south once again it's probably just going to be feeling
01:57that bit cooler on Tuesday but in sheltered spots in the sun once again feeling mostly pleasant.
02:04Now for this week we'll continue to see that easterly flow all thanks to high pressure situated to the
02:10north winds moving around in a clockwise direction bringing us that easterly wind across the country
02:15and it mostly keeps areas of low pressure at bay but we do just need to keep an eye on
02:19this one on
02:19Wednesday. There's the potential there that it could drag up a little bit of rain across the very far
02:23southwest but the main thing we need to keep an eye on on Wednesday is the speed of the winds
02:28particularly across the southwest. It could turn rather gusty here for a time so keep an eye on our
02:32forecasts and the potential for any warnings into this week particularly on Wednesday. But actually this
02:38week even though it's rather windy on Wednesday with a chance of rain many areas it's going to be warm
02:43particularly in the south and any sheltered western areas but across the east mostly cloudy and feeling
02:49a lot cooler. So there is a chance of some warm sunshine into next week highs could actually reach
02:53into the high teens low 20s but it's very dependent on whereabouts you are in the country. That's
02:59everything from me don't forget you can subscribe so you don't miss any of our weather updates. Bye bye.
