00:00Good morning. Heavy rain will affect parts of the northwest through this morning.
00:04Bit of a murky start for some of us further south and west.
00:07But on the whole, today brings plenty of dry and bright weather across many southern and central areas.
00:13But persistent wet weather will affect parts of Northern Ireland and much of Scotland,
00:17perhaps into areas of northern England through today.
00:20Some risk of some quite heavy downpours in this rain.
00:22It should turn a little bit lighter by this afternoon.
00:25Meanwhile, throughout much of the rest of the country, it's going to be a bright day.
00:28A bit more in the way of cloud, though, affecting more western areas, parts of West Wales, southwest England.
00:34So hazier sunshine for these areas.
00:36But further east, temperatures will climb towards 30 degrees.
00:39We're expecting highs of around 29 degrees on Thursday.
00:42So a hotter day than yesterday to come for many of us.
00:47Then throughout this evening, the rain continues to affect parts of the northwest.
00:50We could see some heavy showers moving in.
00:53We'd also see some heavy showers across the far southeast through this evening, a risk of thunderstorms there.
00:58Cloud will thicken once again across western areas, parts of the southwest.
01:02Wales, the high ground in the northwest of England as well.
01:05We could see some mist and fog around by tomorrow morning.
01:07A clear start to the day for many eastern areas, however.
01:11With mild air still with us into Friday morning, it's going to be another mild start.
01:15Perhaps not quite as mild as this morning is, but still temperatures in the mid,
01:20possibly higher teens for some areas.
01:22But notice this heavy rain has returned to the north and west.
01:26Could extend a little bit further south than you can see on these graphics into parts of the northwest of
01:31England by the morning as well.
01:33So a risk of some quite heavy rain continues for northwestern areas.
01:36We'll start to see rainfall totals building up through the next few days.
01:39Comparatively much drier though, further south and east.
01:43Plenty of sunshine, quite light winds as well.
01:45And it is going to feel hot on Friday.
01:48Still quite humid too.
01:49Temperatures likely to climb to 30 degrees, if not a little bit above, across southern and eastern areas of England.
01:55Particularly across parts of East Anglia is where we can see the highest temperatures.
01:59Elsewhere, temperatures still in the mid-20s, perhaps the lower 20s further west.
02:04As you head further west, get closer to this weather front.
02:06It will be slightly cloudier and a little bit breezier too.
02:09But notice whether the north of this weather front, across the far north and west of Scotland, it is still
02:14quite cool.
02:15Temperatures in the mid-teens here, but only 13 or 12 degrees for some areas through Friday.
02:21So a big difference north to south through Friday.
02:24That difference slowly starts to shift this weekend as high pressure becomes more dominant.
02:29But you can find a full weekend forecast a little bit later on today on our YouTube channel.
02:34Have a good day. Bye-bye.
