00:11So, tell me how's season 15 going so far?
00:15Extraordinarily. We have a really talented group of designers.
00:20The designers on the show have the opportunity to use this exposure as the beginning of a platform.
00:26I think they're more fashion-forward. I feel like they're very intense designers.
00:33Very passionate. They cry a lot.
00:36Hey, it's your party. Come on in. Mill about. Get a drink. Go to the bar. It's in the back.
00:43Enjoy it.
00:45We walk into the Absolute Elix house and it is beautiful.
00:51I'll come with you. It's just like the fanciest place I've ever been.
00:54I see Heidi and Zach and Nina.
00:57There's a lot of coppers and gold.
01:00Crystals and flowers.
01:01After working so much work, work, work, work, work, having a party is really fun.
01:07I don't want to think about a needle and thread. Oh my God.
01:11I'm just trying to have a good time and enjoy this party.
01:15Is it good? It's so good.
01:20I'm Sydney. Nice to meet you.
01:22No worries. Pleasure. Nice to meet you.
01:24Lamara, this is Cornelius.
01:25Hi.
01:27Natalia, I want you to meet Lauren.
01:29Doing press is exciting.
01:30How's the vibe been of the season?
01:31So far, it's been really great.
01:33It makes me feel like, oh my God, I'm on Project Runway.
01:36Actually, Cornelius, he's one of my best friends.
01:38We tried out together.
01:39I've been telling him, I hope this doesn't mess with our friendship after this.
01:44Everyone, please come up here. Join me for a toast.
01:48Hello everyone and welcome to Elix House, New York.
01:51I am Jonas Tallinn and I'm the CEO for Absolute Elix.
01:55And we at Elix are so happy to have such a wonderful group of talented designers with us here tonight.
02:03I see that you're all drinking from our signature drinking vessel, the Elix Copper Pineapple.
02:07And we've chosen copper because our luxury vodka is made by hand in a copper still from 1921.
02:14Cheers.
02:15Cheers.
02:16Thank you, Jonas.
02:16Bottoms up.
02:19And I also want to welcome you, designers, for coming today to our little party.
02:24And as you know, martinis go really well with a twist.
02:29And we like twists on Project Runway, don't we?
02:32We don't.
02:34This is not just a fun cocktail party.
02:37This is also the beginning of your next challenge.
02:41In the spirit of Elix, you will each be creating a luxurious cocktail dress.
02:49And designers look around because this magnificent space is your inspiration.
02:54You will have one day for this challenge and a budget of $300 for Mood.
02:59Ooh.
03:00Yes, $300.
03:02Swoon.
03:02All right, everyone.
03:03Cheers.
03:03Let's start sketching.
03:12Inspiration.
03:13I'm sitting on a beautiful Chesterfield couch, and that's my first inspiration.
03:18I think it's right in my alley.
03:21It's very, like, 1920s in here.
03:23The look that I'm designing is definitely going to coincide with the vibe of the room.
03:27Kind of reminds me of something that would be, you know, like, in the 20s.
03:34My girl is getting cocktails, but just not at the cocktail party that everybody else is going to.
03:39Yeah?
03:39The slushie?
03:40Sure.
03:41I think, well, what in this room inspires me as designer?
03:46And I look at my hand, and I'm holding my copper pineapple, and I'm looking at the drizzle down it.
03:52I wanted to capitalize off of the sweat technique.
03:55I'm like, that'd be dope in a dress, like a drizzle down effect.
03:59So, that's what I'm going to do.
04:01So, I'm immediately inspired by these bartenders' leather aprons that they're wearing.
04:06So, I'm envisioning a leather apron cocktail dress.
04:10I don't think anybody else is going to come up with this type of look.
04:13And what is, like, in absolute elix?
04:17That's why there's all the copper.
04:19I love copper.
04:21It's so beautiful.
04:22Instead of sketching, like, a silhouette or anything specific, I want to point out details that I like.
04:27There's, like, porcelain dolls, and the chandeliers, and flamingo wallpaper bathroom.
04:32There's inspiration everywhere.
04:34I have so many ideas.
04:36But the common thread amongst all the ideas that I have are these crystals.
04:41So, I'm hoping that I can find the fabric, like the one I'm imagining, at Mood.
04:46Designers, sketching time is up.
04:48Can you all gather around?
04:49This has been a wonderful experience for all of us, I believe.
04:53Yes.
04:54And you have a whole day tomorrow to work.
04:58And I will meet you at Mood in the morning.
05:00Okay?
05:01All right.
05:01Here we go.
05:02I want to.
05:03Thank you, pineapple.
05:07Off they go.
05:13We have a $300 budget.
05:15Ching ching.
05:24Designers, time is up.
05:26No more shopping, everyone.
05:28All right, designers, let's head back to the work room.
05:31Thank you, Mood.
05:32Thank you, Mood.
05:42Oh, that is cool.
05:44Doesn't it just have the essence of what room we were in?
05:47Yeah.
05:48This definitely looks like the room, too, though.
05:50Like, there was a lot of glitz in there.
05:52Yeah, I'm just thinking, like, I mean, shiny is a color, right?
06:00All right, designers, I will be in later to check in with each of you.
06:04Your models will be in after that for a fitting.
06:06And please take advantage of the brother's sewing room.
06:08All right?
06:09You have until 10 o'clock tonight.
06:16Why are you throwing shade at me?
06:18I didn't throw shade, Natalia.
06:19I just asked a question.
06:21I was like, do you see yourself in it?
06:22I do.
06:22This is a good challenge to really represent you as a designer.
06:27I just feel as though she is not hitting the mark with this one.
06:30If it doesn't look like me, it just means I'm growing.
06:33Not necessarily.
06:34Natalia could be in trouble.
06:42We have to make a cocktail dress inspired by Absolute Illix House.
06:47I don't want to make a classic cocktail dress.
06:50I want the silhouette to have something more like a bell.
07:00Hi, everyone.
07:02Hello.
07:03I'm eager to check in with you.
07:05How's Rick?
07:07Great.
07:07It's my first time really making a whole leather dress.
07:10I see the reference.
07:13It was the aprons that the waitstaff was wearing.
07:16I did buy lots of the leather paint.
07:18So I was planning on maybe doing some type of wood grain.
07:20Yes.
07:21All right, Rick.
07:21I believe.
07:22I appreciate it.
07:24I just love copper.
07:25So I really knew that I wanted to go with a copper look.
07:28Kind of was going back and forth between how I wanted to use the feathers.
07:31Because I like the flamingo bathroom.
07:33But I kind of wanted to put it into that copper tone.
07:36Crazy bathroom.
07:37I also got a bunch of these crystal things.
07:39The feathers and this elaborate brocade.
07:42I think you've got enough going on.
07:44Okay.
07:44Thank you, Tim.
07:45I was pretty inspired by all the shiny stuff in there.
07:49Lots of shiny stuff.
07:50And also I feel like it had a very speakeasy sort of thing.
07:53So I wanted to go with a very simple silhouette.
07:55Okay.
07:56And then I've just been going in and pinning these shiny appliques.
08:00Carry on.
08:02I thought it would be really cool to do like a whole chocolate thing.
08:05Well, chocolate brown can be very chic.
08:07Then I'm making a little shoulder piece and I'm going to completely cover it in chocolate fringe.
08:11I feel there's something very sophisticated about what you're doing with the neck.
08:15Okay.
08:16And this to me is looking a little wild west, a little Cher.
08:20I'm not like remotely afraid of it being more of like a neck friend situation around the dress instead of
08:25messing with the girl's arms and shoulders.
08:27I'm excited about this.
08:28All right.
08:30Rick.
08:31Hi, Tim.
08:32This is over this?
08:33Yes, sir.
08:34Good heavens.
08:35It works.
08:36I like it.
08:37I can't wait to see it on your model.
08:41Laurence.
08:42Hello, Tim.
08:43How are you?
08:44Happy seeing this.
08:46I was inspired by the leather Chesterfield sofa that they had over there.
08:51So this is all leather?
08:52Yeah.
08:53I love this quilting effect.
08:55It's really beautiful and the proportions are just right.
08:59Oh, I'm going to leave you alone.
09:01The clock is ticking, but this is spectacular.
09:06Last night I was inspired by the pineapple copper bowl, how the water was drizzling down it.
09:11Mm-hmm.
09:12Personally, it looks like a costume.
09:14It looks like you're trying too hard.
09:16I fundamentally don't understand it.
09:18Well, right now, the house is shaking.
09:22I need to figure out what I'm going to do next.
09:24It's going hard to be an option.
09:26I'm going to go back to the drawing board and figure out a few things and now see if I
09:29can make a different take on it.
09:30All right, carry on.
09:31All right, thank you.
09:32Carry on.
09:34I'm using this fabric I found at Moots.
09:37It looks like Missoni meets Navajo blanket.
09:43That's not what I would associate with luxurious cocktail party dress.
09:47Think about reconceiving, doing something afresh.
09:51How to think about it.
09:52Thank you, Tim.
09:54Cornelius, I'm having deja vu.
09:56Hi, Tim.
09:57Have we not seen this before?
09:59You have seen this print before.
10:02This looks like sportswear.
10:05Does it?
10:06Mm-hmm.
10:07Fudge muffins.
10:08I have to scrap my dress.
10:10This is crazy right now.
10:13Tasha.
10:14Yes, sir.
10:15Hi.
10:18What bothers you about it?
10:20It doesn't say adult woman.
10:22Mm-hmm.
10:23It doesn't say sophisticated.
10:25It reads too simple, like too basic.
10:27And too day.
10:28My after five girl is, she's still casual looking.
10:33I mean, you could use a dark denim and do a fabulous cocktail dress.
10:37And I have that.
10:38You should just take this denim and let it speak to you.
10:42Okay.
10:42Don't push street into the cocktail.
10:44Push cocktail into the street.
10:45Gotcha.
10:46And what happens to it.
10:47And you're gonna tell us.
10:51Natalia.
10:52Wow.
10:53Talk to me.
10:55I was really, really inspired by the chandeliers and the pineapple pink color.
11:00And I remember seeing this fabric, so...
11:03How much was this?
11:04It was 250 for one yard, so I got half a yard.
11:07Good God.
11:08And I'm...
11:08Do you think this looks luxurious?
11:11I do.
11:12How are you going to respond if the judges say to you that it looks like an ice skating
11:15outfit?
11:17Oh, is it the neck piece?
11:19The neck piece?
11:20No, it's the bedazzling.
11:22It's as though you're going out on the ice and you're putting on a show.
11:28I don't want you to go home, but this has packed my bags written all over it.
11:33What the ?
11:36All right, designers.
11:38I was not expecting to walk into this scenario of approximately half of you really understanding
11:44this challenge and the other half sort of at sea.
11:49And we have four hours remaining in the workday.
11:52I've just left a few of you saying start all over again.
11:57You have to have something to walk that runway.
12:00So, make it work.
12:02Half the designers are not hitting the mark with this one and we really need to turn it
12:06up.
12:07Yeah, that makes it look expensive.
12:10Oh, Jenny, thank you.
12:11Jenny has extra linings that look really good under my beaded fabric.
12:15It's going to look classy with this fabric.
12:17I love you.
12:18I think that I can save this look if I like work really hard right now.
12:22Looky, look.
12:23Ooh.
12:24Look at this zipper.
12:26Zippers.
12:27That's beautiful.
12:28Right?
12:36Hi.
12:37I'm so excited.
12:39Yeah, it's really, really fun.
12:42There's just love in there.
12:43What's the challenge to be?
12:45Cocktail.
12:46After five.
12:46Being that my dress is plain, it has to be the perfect fit.
12:49Challenge it to someone.
12:50It has to be the perfect fit.
12:51It has to be the perfect fit.
12:51It has to be the perfect fit.
12:51It has to be the perfect fit.
12:52Impeccable.
12:52I'm going to do your hair like spiky like.
12:54Yeah, you got hips.
12:56All right.
12:56Maybe I'll pleat it all the way around and then do like some high low thing so it looks
13:01a little bit more dramatic.
13:02Yeah, we're good.
13:03I'm going to drop the lining in this bitch.
13:04My party girl is not this flashy woman.
13:09She's more sophisticated.
13:11I really like the shape.
13:12I'm going to change the whole silhouette but trying to keep simplicity of lines.
13:17Yeah, I've been sewing for like four hours now.
13:20Just hand stitching.
13:23Thank you model.
13:28I pray to God I'd just make a save.
13:32Crazy because I have so many ideas.
13:34Uh huh.
13:35And then I like chose to do the like worst one.
13:37Everything on this dress has to be hand sewn.
13:40An hour?
13:42Oh my God.
13:43It's a cocktail dress.
13:43This is right.
13:45Just style the shit out of it.
13:46Why are you tripping?
13:49I ain't started over so many times.
13:50Girl, get out of that cranium.
13:51Toss a bracelet on there and call it a day.
13:53Let's go home.
13:53I'm tired.
13:56Bye.
13:59Night work room.
14:01I wish I could stay all night and finish my dress.
14:05I mean like honestly, I know I'm .
14:13Good morning designers.
14:15Good morning.
14:16Good morning.
14:16I suspect that most if not all of you have a great deal to do this morning.
14:20Yes.
14:21Yes.
14:21Your models are coming in soon.
14:23You will have an hour to send them to the Sally Beauty Studio and the Mary Kay Color and Design
14:28Studio.
14:29Use that just fab accessories wall thoughtfully.
14:33There's a lot going on in here, alright?
14:36We're going to have a fabulous runway show.
14:38Yes.
14:38Yes.
14:39Alright, thank you.
14:42I just have to think positive and everything will work out.
14:45You'll be okay.
14:46Just get it together.
14:49This fabric is a nightmare.
14:52I think we're all like, we don't know, you know?
14:55It's hard to crank out luxury.
14:59Hey.
15:01What's up?
15:02What's up?
15:02What's up?
15:03I need to get my lace complete.
15:04I'm praying I'm at good enough of pressure where at least I'm safe.
15:11Yes.
15:15Yeah.
15:19Hi.
15:19Hi.
15:20I kind of just want to play on her natural beauty.
15:22I've been doing more of a luxe texture on the lip.
15:25This has a creaminess to it.
15:27Sounds good.
15:28Yeah.
15:29Yeah, I think just the darkest you can get it.
15:31As long as we get the shade right, then I can take a really dark plum liner so it gets
15:36darker.
15:37Perfect.
15:38I was thinking a bold wing line, black.
15:40Got it.
15:41I can give a little bit of silver here and then the wing line on the outer portion.
15:46Perfect.
15:47Thank you so much.
15:48I want it to be luxurious but subtle.
15:52Why don't we do something super on trend right now like a soft, cool beach wave but not textured.
15:59Perfect.
15:59She looks young.
16:00She looks cool and hip.
16:01Yeah.
16:01Part in the middle.
16:02Okay.
16:03Slick down behind her ear.
16:05And it's just smooth and straight.
16:06Just highlight this gorgeous face.
16:09Yes.
16:10Got it.
16:10I just want to make it really nice, voluptuous, tighten the curls and call it a day.
16:15Ba-ba-boom.
16:16Yeah.
16:18Oh God.
16:20Designers and models, in ten minutes we're going down to the runway.
16:26You look fantastic in this, right?
16:33Laurence's is so nice.
16:35Laurence's look is pretty kick ass and it has just enough fun in the front.
16:39Her look could possibly win.
16:42Oh, it looks so good.
16:44I love this one.
16:45That's my favorite.
16:48Sorry.
16:49You need an extra hand.
16:50I might need help sewing her in.
16:52She knows that that wasn't a really good fabric choice.
16:55Pull it up.
16:56It's actually 100% of a possibility of her going home.
16:59My God, my hands are so sweaty.
17:03Designers and models, we're heading down to the runway, everyone.
17:07Follow me, please.
17:08It feels like it'll stay.
17:10Okay.
17:10I'm not saying anything.
17:12I'm just looking.
17:15All right.
17:16That's it.
17:20You are going home.
17:27I'm going home.
17:28You are going home.
17:28Hi, everybody, and welcome to the runway.
17:30As you know, in fashion, one day you're in and the next day you're out.
17:34There are 11 of you here, and after tonight there will be 10.
17:36you went to a press event at the absolute elix house was beautiful right
17:41yeah we asked you to make a luxurious cocktail dress showcasing your point of
17:47view your experience at the loft and the decor that surrounded you served as your
17:52inspiration Dexter since you were the winner of the last challenge you have
17:57immunity and cannot be eliminated today all right let's say hello to our judges
18:00first we have creative director of Brooks Brothers women and fashion
18:04designer Zack Posen creative director for Mary Clara magazine Nina Garcia and
18:13today's guest judge actress and model Emily Ratajkowski welcome also we have Tim
18:21Gunn here for the runway show as you know he is your mentor and will not be judging
18:24your looks that said he has a Tim Gunn safe if at some point during the
18:29competition he disagrees with the judges he can bring that eliminated designer back
18:34to the show we also have an anonymous runway show that means the judges do
18:37not know which designer created which look all right let's start the show
18:48I definitely think mine stands out I think I've done a good job on this one and
18:53actually want to wear it I feel that I took a risk with the color and working with other for
19:14the first
19:15time for a cocktail dress it was very unconventional but I definitely think I
19:20pulled this off
19:20nice job Reg
19:32I am so enthused with what I see I'm just following this glow of gold walk down the runway
19:39the sparkle is the sparkle is hitting lights and it's twinkling in just the right places maybe I'll
19:45just be the next cocktail dress designer
19:53I'm feeling really good I think that she definitely standing out I'm feeling very confident I'm pretty sure
20:00of mine's in the top three
20:15I'm very proud of my look especially being that I pulled it off with the small amount of fabric I
20:19have
20:23who doesn't want a little black dress for a cocktail party I feel like my look it's cool
20:36I do like my look walking down the runway and it's most definitely a cocktail dress
20:46but I don't know how the judges are gonna feel about it
20:57I feel like I got it together this is definitely not what I envisioned but it looks really good on
21:03the runway
21:08I feel like I'm gonna be okay
21:18I'm thinking Rick you did it it has a little bit of a retro future vibe
21:27I love it the fit is on point the back is sexy I'm really happy with this look
21:39I like the way it looks could it be a little tighter yes but overall with the time I had
21:46it looks good on her I'm relieved
21:58she looks amazing the way she moves in the dress is gorgeous hopefully the judges are going to be very
22:07pleased with the fit
22:08I'm very happy with the result it looks like a painting
22:18I'm really proud of my look I think it looks like hot sex on the platter
22:26I'm very very confident that Aaron and I are gonna be in the top she's like fringe with benefits
22:35designers you were clearly inspired by this challenge some of you struggled however if I call your name please step
22:42forward
22:43Laurence Natalia Jenny Tasha Rick Aaron if I have not called your name
22:54congratulations your scores have qualified you to move on to the next round but before you go Dexter
23:01you are so very lucky that you have immunity this week
23:05yeah today was a big disappointment it felt really down market and extensions that needed to be chopped
23:13we need to raise the imagination level she was a hoochie mama yeah I'll take that and I'll work on
23:20it thank you
23:20guys you can leave the runway thank you all right thank you
23:30the six of you have the highest and the lowest scores one of you will be named the winner and
23:36one of you will be out
23:42thank you
23:47Natalia tell us about your inspiration and your look so I drew inspiration from the chandeliers in the loft and
23:55when I saw them I immediately thought of this fabric that I saw at mood when I think of luxury
23:59I think of beard fabrics and sequins and then for the under part I did a bustier for the top
24:06to hold it up and just sort of
24:07a simple pencil skirt to go under i don't like this look at all it reminds me of like a
24:13teen
24:14prom dress from the mall that was really inexpensive it doesn't look luxurious at all
24:21can you turn around it's crooked to one side it just looks like some cheap fabric with some very
24:28cheap lining it is the opposite of luxurious i'm not making excuses but i did create this
24:33in like less than four hours i was a little bit over ambitious with the fabric because i did have
24:39to sew all the seams by hand so this is better than what i had before emily what do you
24:45think
24:45i like this one more than the other judges i think it's creative and i saw a lot of things
24:51on the runway that didn't excite me and didn't stand out i can definitely tell that it was rushed
24:55especially in the skirt but i don't think it's as bad as as you guys do thank you ladies i
25:02disagree
25:03today i agree with emily we're on the same page we're on the same page thank you the whole runway
25:09was quite disappointing to me i think the imagination level needs to go way up so grading on the curve
25:16i
25:17think you actually chose a smart textile obviously the sewing is incredibly sloppy but i think there's
25:24interesting ideas of transparency that you were going for so i think the idea behind it represents a
25:31space very well thank you so much rick tell us about your look so at the lounge in the press
25:37party i
25:37was really inspired by the aprons that the bartenders were wearing and i kind of wanted to play on that
25:42masculine energy the woman that i was kind of going for you know doesn't wear feathers beating so i just
25:48wanted the color to pop and the dress to pop as well i love this piece um i could totally
25:54see myself
25:54wearing it on a red carpet or out with friends i think the orange is you know a brave choice
26:00but it
26:01really works and that material doesn't look easy to work with but it fits her very well it's nice
26:07and you know what i love the fact that you really thought out of the box for this and i
26:12can see this is
26:13a dress for a woman who is very confident and can pull this off i even like the fact that
26:21you made it
26:21an a-line and it just holds so well it's so beautifully made i think this dress is a real
26:28eye-catcher not a lot of women have something like that in their closet so you really created something
26:33new and i like that i give it a high score thank you you were very smart you picked a
26:40great courage
26:41type leather and it definitely stood out today a breath of fresh air thank you laurence i was inspired
26:48by the leather couches in particular the chesterfield one and i've decided to go with a chesterfield dress
26:56so i used the leather and some heavy silk for the bottom of the dress loved it i absolutely love
27:05this
27:05dress i totally understand the reference and you cut one sharp mean shoulder thank you i tried i love
27:13this dress as well she looks super elegant it definitely has your signature shoulder it kind of
27:20plays with hard and soft you know how it still looks very feminine but then the leather up top is
27:25hard
27:26so the sweet and the hardness together i really like this is the perfect little black dress it didn't
27:33need any trappings because it's all there in the beautiful impeccable tailoring and then the back is
27:43breathtaking you have a very strong point of view and i knew immediately it was yours so that is such
27:49a plus for a designer i love this dress as well it looks like something that i could wear right
27:54away
27:54because of how well it's tailored i think the black is an obvious choice for cocktail that would be my
28:00only
28:01critique but it just looks so much more expensive than any of the other dresses we saw thank you tasha
28:08tell us about your look i was trying to pretty much mesh uh street and cocktail uh for my girl
28:15because
28:16she wouldn't wear like the beads and the glamour it'll be more of a denim or something like that
28:21because it is street so that's what my inspiration was the fit is off the sash to add the bling
28:29just feels el cheapo and it really doesn't show creativity it is just a black dress that you put a
28:38piece of ribbon at the waist i can't even tell you there's a lot of great tailoring because i don't
28:45see that either i respect it thank you it's the most unfinished looking piece that i saw today i almost
28:52think the dress would be better without the ribbon and it's too much with the earrings and the choker and
28:58the shoes but it shows me that you were aware that the dress was too simple aaron i was really
29:04inspired
29:04by the copper their whole like signature metal and then i also really loved the flamingo bathroom
29:09so i kind of wanted to just take the feathers from that and um i wanted to focus a lot
29:14on fit which
29:15isn't always my strongest point so that was a big focus for me on this one is she going to
29:21a cocktail
29:21party or a costume party it is so overdone she has wings kind of looks silly and funny in a
29:29way it
29:29doesn't look luxurious you know it goes the opposite i wrote priscilla queen of the swamp um
29:37i think the copper and the textures are very representative of the space that we were in but
29:44all together there's not much imagination here can she turn cheap and feathery feathers are hard always
29:53with the material and the feathers and the sequins it's too much i was really surprised when this
30:00turned out to be your look it looks a little bit like a costume from the lion king jenny tell
30:07us
30:07about your inspiration and your look i was really inspired by of course the copper but as well as the
30:12other metallics that they had there such as gold i'm a huge fan of gold and there was also a
30:17lot
30:17of sparkle in the room it almost brought me back to like what a speakeasy would look like but a
30:22little
30:22more modern so i tried creating something like that i would wear to a modern speakeasy i have to be
30:30honest i actually was not thinking that was you who created this dress jenny i actually thought it was
30:35you me as well aaron and you know why that is it's because of the way you bedazzled it because
30:41that is
30:41usually a technique that aaron would use i feel like that is something that you maybe copied from
30:47her a little bit it might have been a subconscious that's a good thing you're inspiring each other
30:54it's all about growth right and i have to say jenny you really worked it out i love the easy
30:59simple
31:01loose silhouette of it it's very sexy because it has that low v which i love i also love the
31:08choker
31:09part around the neck and that you have some embellishment there as well so it kind of crawls
31:13up on her i love how simple the hair is today with the smoky eye you know she looks great
31:19thank you
31:22this was a beautiful fabric and i think you were smart in the way you used it of all the
31:28pieces today
31:28this is what i would photograph in that space sitting there i totally get the speakeasy reference
31:35there but in no way does it feel vintage it has the ease of a 1920s dress but totally today
31:42thank you
31:44okay we've heard what you had to say we're going to have a little chat and then i'm going to
31:49call
31:49back onto the runway thank you

32:26in mary claire magazine hi hi heidi zach nina emily some are looking good and some are looking that's
32:35good would you like to begin with karina wearing natalia yeah sure i'm really surprised emily and zach
32:41that you two really like this oh it looks like she took the chandelier she's just trying to flop it
32:47on
32:47her it's shocking she made this in four hours it looks like she made it in 30 minutes yes agreed
32:52i just
32:53appreciate that she tried a different me too thing with something strapless some skin yeah a back piece
32:59but overall yes it's a hot hot mess alicia's wearing aaron whoa all those feathers and it's the fabric this
33:10was one of the worst dresses today that we saw on the runway you know we have to be fair
33:15one day
33:15you're in the next day you're out she's on the chopping board today
33:20we have ella wearing tasha so this is denim this is a ponte jersey so it's two different materials and
33:28then what is denim and then this is just oh i see a lack of of imagination and creativity here
33:34i don't see very much use of technique understanding of fabric i i'm at a loss and the earrings and
33:43the
33:43shoes it's too much we have tears uh wearing rick rick did a great job we loved it you see
33:51the
33:51right this this the the little of the bartenders apron the irony of the apron for the cocktail dress
33:59it's just more modern it is more unexpected she probably did need this grosgrain because it was
34:05going to listen the tricks are here the outside zipper the grosgrain the halter but it all works
34:09nice solid job and we have christy wearing laurels wow yay yeah this is amazing of course wow i mean
34:19look
34:20at the detail of the sleeve you know this dress is made from 300 and it looks like a 2
34:27000 dress it just
34:30works ladies wearing jenny this i love it's very beautiful and the shape i love the length i love
34:38that it's not tight i love this but i do think that jenny is really stealing some of aaron's technique
34:45i mean i like the choice that she did in the sequining i think there's some sensitive placement of
34:49embroidery here which really takes artistry like this right here it's beautiful it's like a collage
34:56i think it is very high fashion and very high end made with 300 she spent a lot of time
35:02and it paid
35:03off i think it's gorgeous i would wear that let's talk about the designs that we did like let's talk
35:11about lorence she nailed this one the whole dress the length the back this line right here was gorgeous
35:19i do want to see something more than the shoulder from her of course now we've seen it we've seen
35:24it in
35:24a jacket we've seen it in this great dress i'm just afraid now we're gonna see it in the denim
35:28version
35:29okay let's talk about jenny it is so feminine right it's an entrance dress and it's without
35:37being tight yes without being skin tight or too flashy it is just right let's talk about the designs
35:44that we didn't like oh the beaded thing was shoddy and shocking the problem with natalia is she just
35:50fell in love with that fabric like aaron's i'm sure that was expensive i'm sure that fabric was
35:55expensive i'm sure the feathers were expensive but it looks so cheap and it does look super cheap feel
36:01bad for the birds what about tasha though i mean i didn't even try to do something it was uninspiring
36:07and there was no design here but i would still wear tashas over natalia's so i don't know do we
36:12want
36:12to send someone home with no design like tasha or do we send someone home who over designed or over
36:19bedazzled like natalia or aaron okay so we've made our decision
36:31let's bring them back out
36:34the six of you have the highest and the lowest scores one of you will be the winner
36:40and one of you will be out jenny congratulations you are the winner of this challenge

37:22thought that
37:23i could like pick myself up to the speed you won congratulations jenny so shocked thank you i mean
37:32i'm not shocked but i'm shocked rick laurence great job you're both in you can leave the runway thank you
37:41thank you so much for watching tasha we were disappointed with your dress it had very little
37:51design and creativity to it and the cheap sparkly sash made it even worse natalia we did not all agree
37:59on your look some of us thought it was poorly made and tacky but some of us appreciated your effort
38:05more
38:07but what we did all agree on was that the end result was a mess aaron your dress was a
38:13low point today
38:14it felt costumey over designed and a bit bizarre and as you know one day you're in and the next
38:22day
38:31aaron you're in you can leave the runway thank you natalia tasha one of you will be out
38:49natalia
