02:42It's helpful for you and why reinvent the wheel when you don't have to.

21:54I work a lot with straps, and that is my strong design detail.
21:58Although I've loved what I've made, I think I'm going to be in the bottom.

22:16I'm just so happy that I was able to create something with me playing different shapes
22:22and using different textures of fabrics.

26:44A lot of weaving, a lot of sex appeal, but not in your face.
26:48And the cover-up also takes inspiration from a Greek goddess, which is why it's like a Grecian drape.
26:53Well, this was a showstopper.
26:56You created a fierce bra.
27:00I love the bra, but I'm a little distracted because the middle has nothing.

27:06I think something could have been there, but I do love the top.

27:41I love the fuchsia, and I just wanted to coordinate it with the neutral color, so I added the navy.

28:00You don't see that a lot in a lot of bras, and I thought that was very unusual and very

28:09They're very high-waisted.

28:20The pant is so high up and so big, it almost looks like a granny pant in the front, and

28:37To me, there's just a little bit too much going on as an ensemble.

28:41I like the double strap, but I think it's placed wrong.
28:45Every woman probably wouldn't feel comfortable with it being in the waist.

28:49Any angle you turn, it's just not going to look good.
28:52But I really do like the top.
28:53I think the top would probably be very comfortable to wear, and it's support.
28:56You could wear it under a t-shirt, and it would look good.

29:01I was in love with the v-neck top, and so that's where that came from.
29:06I just hand-sewed all this new bra, and then the back is like this.
29:12In my brain, I was just thinking more like sexy and cute and something effortless.
29:18When you design lingerie, you design lingerie either for a girl that wears her lingerie during the day, so it's
29:24practical,
29:25or you wear lingerie more for provocative reasons for the bedroom.
29:30And so this is more along the lines for the bedroom.
29:33It is more suitable for a smaller chest, but I think you've done a beautiful job.
29:38You used a lot of the lace, and it's very interesting and unusual of a shape, which is something that
29:43I was looking for.
29:44You know, I wasn't looking for a basic.
29:46I can see that a woman designed this, and it's sexy but empowered and fun.
29:52Just what I think lingerie should be.
29:54You can even wear it under a t-shirt, like a white tank top, and it can poke through, and
29:58it's still really cute, so I'd still wear it out.
30:01I particularly like the bra because it's one of those items that can be a layering item.
30:08Yes, it's lingerie, but it also can be fashion, and I'd love to see that with a sheer blouse.
30:15I thought it was very fashion-forward, and I thought it was very cool.
30:19Jake, tell us about your look.
30:21I wanted to create something that I think had an element of nostalgia, which is what I tried to invoke
30:28with the polka dot pattern.
30:29But I also wanted to involve some updates and some sentiments that I thought were tastefully revealing.
30:35It's kind of blah, and the cover-up feels throwaway, literally.

30:43I really feel like the straps are creating a...

30:49I love the fabric, the polka dot theme, and I like the scallop edges that you did on the bra.

31:11This is sporty mixed French.
31:14I would think sporty meets what?
31:15Like French, like that French kind of vibe, like with the lace.
31:19Yeah, so I spent a lot of time on the panties.
31:21I hand-sew the lace around the waistline coming up, and then it just took longer than I expected.
31:27I mean, this is my first time working or even seeing, like, women's intimates.
31:31Good luck, then.
31:33For real.
31:34I mean, you're limiting your audience to nothing.
31:37If you want to be a designer, the reality is that you're designing for a diversity of different types of
31:43women.

31:45And it shows here.

31:50I think your biggest problem was using that underwire and then just putting the mesh,
31:56because the underwire will hike up the boob like it's supposed to,
32:00and then leaving only mesh to give it no support will purposely make the boob look droopier.

32:10However, there is no fit, there is no quality, and there is no sophistication.
32:16And I think those are integral, especially when you're looking to buy lingerie.

32:25I really wanted to emphasize on the bra line and where these straps hit and everything,
32:30and I love the whole lace cutout on the cups and everything and kind of dropping it a little bit

32:38And then I wanted to bring it down to the underwear with the same lace
32:42and then with the straps in the back to emphasize her curves.
32:45I love the combination of colors.
32:47There's something very sporty about this, yet feminine.

32:57I like that it's sweet, but it's still classy, and like, it's sexy, but it's still young.
