01:52Designers, you will each be showing your looks to the public
01:55in our first ever pop-up shop.

02:08Designers, for this challenge,
02:10you will be working in three teams of three.
02:14The last team challenge I flopped,
02:16so it's time for redemption.
02:18Each team will be working with an assigned Sally Beauty color palette.
02:22Your looks will be inspired by your color palette.
02:25Our first team will be working with Red Violet,
02:28and our first team member is Aaron.
02:32And next we have Dexter.

02:42I most definitely feel like I am an outsider,
02:45because they are best friends.
02:47I just think that they might be really hard to work with.
02:50So the team working with New Neutral will begin with Jenny.

03:44I feel that all three of us are part of the strongest competitors at this competition,
03:48so I'm extremely excited and happy with the teammates that I got.
03:51Each team will be creating a cohesive three-look collection.

10:15feeling of the blue color as an inspiration to create this rebel she's
10:20not afraid to represent herself as a very strange person yeah strange yeah
10:29she's going to pop from the crowd because she's different I'd stick with the
10:34adjective different okay different okay yeah so did you each work on a look yes
10:39it's a little bit hard to hear him saying that the collection is not very
10:45strong but if he wants you to push forward he trusts that you can go an
10:50extra mile so always listen to Tim thank you all I just don't want to send
10:56things down the runway that are like so red I don't want to talk about it team
11:01red violet hey Tim as a team how are you feeling about things yeah really Cornelius
11:13you want to start so it was like the nod to Punk but not too much and I tried
11:17to keep her a little bit classy but also keep her young the jacket looks
11:20magnificent thank you Dexter so this is a vest it's a bit of a dress vest so
11:26there's a top under this maybe not but it is like a bad girl vibe so like I'm not
11:31afraid to take a risk and having that go okay Aaron so this is like are like kind
11:36of like redesigned a motorcycle jacket the coats walking along we want to do like
11:40just like a nice little mock neck turtlenecks and the coat would be
11:43closed no we want to put a bottom on it oh what that's what we're trying to
11:47figure out have you talked about mixing this up I was thinking it talk to me I
11:53mean we can move my skirt to her jacket and then create something else to go with
11:57this outfit I think that that's actually a really good idea I'm not afraid of
12:04mixing pattern I'm not either me neither I think it's smashing it's not often that I

12:58woman want to wear in the fall and I was thinking like a long jacket can you open
13:03the coat just so I can see what's underneath you've each compromised and
13:09lost yourselves and I'm just saying more I'm a little nervous I'm in a team with
13:15two individuals who are friends and we don't pull it together they're gonna throw
13:19me on the bus something needs to happen this is just not enough
13:24design teams your models are coming in at 1 30 you will have two hours to send
13:32them to the Mary Kay color and design studio and the Sally Beauty studio and
13:37then we are going to the pop-up shop all right use the just fab accessories wall

13:54Cornelius is freaking out of trying to pleat pleats while Aaron and Dexter just
13:59kind of like living the life Cory is being so cool and he's all on it so clean
14:07I'm excited especially with the pop-up should be very interesting yeah before the pop-up shop
14:22we have lots of little things to do some hems last-minute detailing is just to make
14:26it look very polished and elevated they're cute oh yeah those look really
14:30good on her look yeah there we go awesome job for the most part things are
14:36fitting pretty good I'm like feeling really positive about this collection
14:39yeah it looks amazing so so it's guys think I looks cool

14:54fabrics do like a cool thing with the hair hair can we wrap a pop color there yeah
14:58yeah absolutely the braid it would just be two braids and then the little chin on the

15:11of gray on her okay and two tracks of the auburn we definitely want a little more
15:16volume it looks good though we're excited
15:19I was thinking very shimmery we have this illuminating stick so it is just a bright
15:29eye what about the lip I had this tangerine oh that's beautiful let's just do a new lip this gel matte
15:37lipstick with the color of her skin almost I think on her we just wanted to work with her skin tone got
15:42it how you feeling about this wild brow concept I love it all the flashes are so on point I love the lip
15:49color too it's not like too too dark
15:57yeah the girls look good I'm very proud of this

16:37collection and the people on the streets of soho will each be given a button to vote for their
16:41favorite the votes count for 20 of the final judging my team we could really use it do you have buttons
16:48oh good excellent look at all three collections and go with your viscera are you voting is your votes
16:55important hey teddy have you looked at everything briefly but so far i like the blue one yay
17:01yay i chose this one right here it seems very modern but also very vintage at the same time
17:12i love that red jacket i think it's so fun and it adds such a fun pop of color um and it reminds me
17:17a lot of chanel it's a classic this is a clear winner for me i just like the color the proportions the
17:23way they're separate it was constructed really well i like the lines on pink blue i think they're clean
17:29i love that jacket i love the little t-shirts actually underneath it love it love it thank you
17:34i voted for the blue team especially like the coat when she turned i was like oh that's it
17:43i mean let's be honest neutral and blue are a lot easier than bright red

18:24this was the sally beauty challenge for this challenge you were divided into teams of three
18:30and you were to use your color palette as the basis for a three look fall collection also your looks
18:36were displayed in a soho storefront and what did you think of that it was so amazing it was really fun

19:39judge kelly osborne she's fashion designer judge on project runway jr and author of a new book and
19:47what is the name again of this book there is no secret and also we have tim gun here for the runway
19:54show hi as you know tim is your mentor and will not be judging your looks that said he has a tim gun
20:00save if at some point during the competition he disagrees with the judges he can bring that eliminated
20:05designer back to the competition all right let's start the show
20:17i feel really good about the collection i try my best to match up my plaids as best as possible
20:22with the time constraint that i had on top of trying to help out everybody else i love it
20:36i'm so excited to see our collection on the runway it's heavy on the red but like that's just like
20:41a design aesthetic and i think that we really really hit the nail on the head
20:58i'm super psyched about my jacket i think the pockets came out really cool
21:02i love our collection i love what we did there is all of our aesthetics in there and i think that
21:07they they go together pretty well we slayed this
21:20you can tell that i am an outerwear designer the two jackets that i made look really beautiful
21:28and the pants that i made look really beautiful i'm just really proud of us

21:45i feel like the sweater is adding a pretty cool pop it looks really great with the pants that natalia

21:58i'm really feeling like we really captured the soho woman i think the art collection is sexy
22:03it's chic it has sophistication to it it has that edge i'm super proud of us
22:20i feel very confident about our looks i think they're look very well done i think it's cohesive
22:29and current and relevant and i think that's very important
22:34i'm really loving the way it looks it's very chanel punk the slip dress that i created underneath it looks great
22:50i think we definitely amped it up and the girls look very hot
22:53i'm impressed that we were able to create three looks that were completely us

23:11one member of the winning team will be the winner of this challenge and one member of the losing team
23:28will be out team neutral the public liked your collection the best and we also liked it too

23:41and that was the blue team how are you feeling about that great

23:59oh oh my god oh my god we still got 500 dollars and they said they liked it well it really spoke
24:07to the new neutrals yeah i know what's weird for me saying this but i'm a little nervous for
24:12carnelius as much as i got a lot of love for aaron and dexter they're gonna throw him under the bus
24:17team red tell us about your collection and please tell us who did what so we wanted to kind of do
24:25like the notch punk i worked on the piece in the middle i just kind of wanted to use some of my
24:29favorite things about like my rock vest and a pocketed epaulette instead of an actual epaulette
24:34and i wanted to go with a new silhouette that wasn't so like normal and basic so that it was a little
24:39bit different i think we all worked on the pleated skirt together as a group we did an elevated eyebrow
24:44with a double slash different hues of red going throughout the hair we thought that that would
24:48tie it together i created the jacket right here and i wanted to play with lines so it's not just
24:54the basic plaid and then i also created the skirt and the third look and then i did the jacket with
25:00sharika and the top just wanted to play on like with the motorcycle jacket i do think you guys did
25:04a great job but we have to compare you to the other two teams that i just think that you guys were
25:09the weakest i believe it's because it's red from head to toe maybe in one look it would work but on
25:17three it just becomes an overload i love the jacket it looks very polished the middle dress just the
25:25fabrication to the style falls flat the skirt there's some sewing problems on it it's a challenge in one
25:32day to do an engineered pleated skirt the plaid in the jacket to the skirt didn't help tie it it didn't
25:39transport me so since you are the losing team one of you is going home tonight dexter who out of your
25:46team do you think should go home today oh man i'm sorry um i'm just i'm gonna have to say cornelius
25:56i'm sorry cornelius i'm in the middle of two friends so let's bring it on why just just design
26:02design aesthetic wise i just don't feel like our stuff goes together and i feel like it was harder
26:06for me to get him into a different space than his normal space oh okay cornelius how do you feel about
26:14that i think i think it's like a stab in the back but it it is what it is i was going in the opposite
26:21direction let's try to tone it down a little bit it is a little bit too red i mean i try to give i
26:26did give options but i'm not here to throw anybody under the bus i'm just here to say that i was a
26:31mediator and tried to bring the cohesion into it but yet people were like no no no so i just started
26:37to say yes yes yes and then create my garments and then also help create others garments cornelius in your
26:43eyes who should go home today based off of like you know like the styling and stuff i'm gonna have to
26:49say dexter because it did become a lot red with the handbag and then the socks and i get it okay
26:56you are the one aaron who do you think should go home today it's like me and dexter do work really
27:03well with each other so i would have to i would have to choose cornelius and that is because you
27:07like dexter more as a friend no not even it's not even more of a friend i think that dexter and i
27:11definitely like to go hard our aesthetics are just stronger together but did you give cornelius a chance to
27:18even we were talking a lot like it just thought that we had to be put in this position to say that i
27:23don't want to say that either so you can rephrase it which look do you think is the weakest up here
27:28um honestly the pleated skirt is my my least favorite one it was and who conceived that what
27:34erin conceived the pleated skirt she's like oh i would like a pleat let's do a pleat on a skirt
27:39i'm gonna just tell the truth now no you should yeah no i mean i said we should do a pleated skirt but it
27:43was designed all together so i'm not just gonna sit here and let you guys bash me i don't because
27:49it's just that skirt that pleated skirt who wants something long in the front and short in the back
27:54like that to me is an eyesore by moving your skirt over to aaron's look it kind of put your look into
28:01jeopardy because clearly here we have aaron's look here we have dexter's look and this is your look
28:07so i have a question for aaron and dexter you both say that cornelius should go home but is he really
28:14responsible for the failure of this collection what you guys are saying is our biggest issues that we
28:19didn't get another color in a way that's really all of our faults because no one got anything other
28:24than red at mood it was almost there to me the winning piece here is the jacket yeah and nothing else
28:30really feels redeeming to me cornelius do you have anything more i'm not saying anything else
28:38i'm done but your butt's on the line here you're on the line at the end of the day everybody knows
28:43that i worked my butt off i feel like i carried a lot of load on me while everybody you know was
28:48like sitting down you know having a good time talking and stuff and i know that i worked my butt off
28:52so thank you team red okay now we're talking to the winning team team blue tell us about your
28:59collection and who created what we wanted to take this notion of the emotional part of the blue
29:07color but trying to make it rebellious and very detailed i made the the first look the sweater the
29:14skirt part wool part leather fused with wool geometric shapes in the front so i've designed the last look
29:22we agreed on colors before we went to mood and we decided to use the white to break up the blue color
29:28we also agreed on the woman we were going to design for it sophisticated with a with an edge i created
29:33a inspired chanel smoking look so i did the pants and the shirt and the jacket i created the middle
29:39look i found this gorgeous wool czech tartan that was double faced with the blue on the inside dark dark
29:45navy and then i created the dress underneath as well with the leather the silk linen satin underneath and
29:51then the linen tee on top with a little bit of a chiffon silk as well trim we all borrowed and played
29:57with our own aesthetics just transferring everything into one cohesive collection i don't know which look
30:02i love the most because i love them all i think you did a fantastic job i love the plaid the leather the
30:10patches on the sweater i love to see the t-shirt underneath i love the skirt the leather and the plaid mix i love
30:16that it's not a regular hemline i mean literally there's nothing here where i would say i wish you
30:22would have coulda shoulda i love it just the way it is thank you in contrast with the red group you used
30:31white and black and other colors to make that blue pop and it popped perfectly it feels in three pieces
30:41like a collection i could get that jacket with that skirt i could have that sweater with that pant
30:47then it would all work so it's a collection and that was very gratifying thank you i love in the
30:55first look the structure and texture and combined with comfort but still you know i would wear that
31:00down a red carpet the way that the dress has got such a simplicity that is so elegant and effortless
31:06with this incredible jacket over it i'm obsessed with the tuxedo jacket i just wish the tails were
31:12just a little bit longer i'm literally just nitpicking because i love every single thing that you've done
31:19and i'm kind of a bit mind blown who should be the winner on your team i would probably say myself just
31:26because you know i love my coat i love what i made but in the end it's you know up to the judges which
31:30outfit and you like best well i don't want to pick myself so i'm going to pick uh mr roberi over here
31:36because he worked crazy and made some magic so i give it to him see roberi who do you think should
31:42be the winner on your team i would love to all three be the winners because we work very well together and
31:48have so much fun and that said i will choose rick because nobody select him and his jacket is amazing

33:01there was a heated discussion today on the runway yes there was they did throw each other under the
33:05bus a little bit and i have to say on the topic of their textiles when i asked do you have any other
33:10color all eyes went to cornelius and it was evident that he had suggested that there be something
33:17additional but i just have to say it we have two mean girls on that team and they beat up on him all i'm
33:22saying is he ended up having the worst look on the runway
33:28this coat is stunning these pockets out here like this that is really unique and very cool the fabric
33:34of the code is fabulous the detailing of the code is fabulous when this walked the runway was like a
33:41redeeming moment but erin wouldn't have had a bottom to go with her jacket she hoarded the skirt she put
33:47all her eggs in one jacket this is a total dexter well to me this is just terrible the one thing i'm
33:56really confused about is that if dexter claims to be so punk rock why did he give us a samurai dress
34:02and why didn't he stud it or the tassels or something to make it pop i like that it's denim
34:08i see i thought it was all one dress no no it's a skirt and a best yeah and i'm sorry i just don't
34:15see punk in that no this is rubbery wow head to toe and i mean to me this is more punk i wanted to say
34:23that but i felt like they were already so annihilated i couldn't rubbery's has all the combinations of the
34:29textures and i like to see the mismatched lengths of that skirt very nice this is laurence i didn't
34:38realize how chic the fabric on the pants yeah laurence really has beautiful taste this was not my
34:43favorite it felt a little unfinished it's something in the proportion what i love about it is it chic but
34:49there's a sense of comfort to it all in all what's so impressive is that in three looks they really gave
34:55you the sense of a collection yes guys i think laurence is still in the running i think they did a
35:02phenomenal job i even think the losing team did a fantastic job i agree me too we had very strong
35:07personalities of dexter and aaron cornelius has been a little bit more quiet throughout this his look
35:13wasn't the worst until he got rid of the skirt it was really hard for me to see people being bullied
35:21like that then we have dexter who made his total look it's just a question of who do we want to see
35:27more of the winning team did a fantastic job this showed great maturity this collection on all parts
35:34who is taking home the win is it rick or is it rubbery or laurence laurence is out of the running
35:40i don't know i love the tonality on the pants it's very small it's beautiful that i love her look but
35:47it's nothing again rubbery that skirt that he made that's the editorial look but also rick did
35:52a fantastic job super duper job he made a beautiful dress underneath just that gentle lace lining that
35:59was a great jacket he put so much detail into this jacket it's supposed to get a sportiest sheet and
36:04we all want it so it's really between rick and rubbery so we have made our decision
36:10the six of you represent the teams with the highest and the lowest scores one of you will be the winner
36:21of this challenge and one of you will be out for barry
