00:00Maybe no one even uploaded this video to YouTube, we can never know.
00:04It sounds meaningless, doesn't it?
00:06The fact that you are watching this video already proves that someone must have uploaded
00:10it.
00:11So there is no room left for doubt.
00:13Just because you can't see the uploader, does that mean he doesn't exist?
00:17Or does it mean that we cannot know whether he exists?
00:21Of course not.
00:22The same goes for the universe.
00:24Now that it's already created just like a video, how can anyone say we cannot know if
00:29a creator exists or not?
00:31It just doesn't make sense either.
00:33The existence of a creator isn't just about belief, it's something we have to accept based
00:37on evidence, reason, and logic.
00:40Agnostics say we can never know whether God exists.
00:43But here is the strange part.
00:45They are not just watching the video, they are actually in it.
00:54Something either exists or it doesn't.
00:56We all know there is no in between.
00:59So when someone says I'm somewhere in the middle, they are actually leaning, maybe without
01:03even realizing it, towards denial, towards atheism.
01:07In logic, this is called the low excluded middle.
01:10It means something is either A or not A. Something is either black or not black.
01:15There is no third option.
01:17In the same way, something either exists or it doesn't.
01:20So agnostic philosophy is invalid in basic logic.
01:24And also, knowing that God exists isn't like solving some complicated math problem.
01:29It's a truth that's built into us, into both our nature and how we are made.
01:35There is an eye-opening study on this by Professor Jacenelle Barrett at Oxford University.
01:40Barrett and 57 other academics carried out research in 20 different countries.
01:44They found that children around the age of three naturally believe in a supernatural power,
01:49a creator.
01:51So children at around age three actually treat all of the supernatural agents in their cultural
01:56context as about the same.
01:58Even if the adults don't think that they're all very smart.
02:01But the young children treated them all as super smart.
02:04They know everything.
02:05While there is developmental support for the idea that there is this creator God that's
02:09super powerful and super knowing and immortal.
02:12Believing in a creator isn't some idea we pick up later in life.
02:16It's a natural tendency that's already part of our futra, our inborn nature.
02:21There is also further research on this topic.
02:23Think about it this way.
02:25If you were walking on the beach and saw a heart in the sand with two letters inside,
02:29and I love your reading under it, you'd probably say someone was making a love confession.
02:34What if someone came along and said, did someone draw this?
02:38Maybe no one wrote it at all.
02:40How would you react?
02:41Would you take him seriously?
02:43Or if we found a fork from thousands of years ago in an archaeological dig, we would immediately
02:49assume it was made by a conscious, knowledgeable being.
02:52We wouldn't attribute the creation of a simple fork to nature, physical laws, or chance.
02:57We would say there was intent behind it.
03:00An intent naturally points to a conscious mind.
03:03But isn't our world with all its people, systems, and living beings far more complex
03:09than a fork?
03:11Why then do we hesitate to attribute it to a knowledgeable creator?
03:15Or imagine that you hear the result of a football match.
03:18It ended 1-0.
03:20When someone asks, who scored the goal?
03:23We don't know if anyone scored, because we didn't see who did it.
03:27What would you say to that?
03:28If the score is 1-0, it makes no sense to question whether anyone scored at all.
03:33The goal is real.
03:35The result is right there.
03:37Someone must have scored it, right?
03:39Well, the same goes for the universe.
03:41It's already here, clearly in existence.
03:44In a way, it's like moving from 0 to 1.
03:47The goal has happened.
03:49The universe came into existence.
03:52So how can anyone still say, we cannot know if someone caused it?
03:57Agnosticism is split into categories like strong faith, weak faith, and so on.
04:01But let's not get into those details now.
04:04Let's just focus on the main issue.
04:06In the Rissaliner collection, there is a very strong logical inference.
04:10Since existence is real, then it must have an explanation.
04:14Every single day, hundreds of thousands of living beings come into existence right before
04:19our eyes.
04:20This can only be explained in one of four ways.
04:23Atoms created the universe and are somehow still creating it.
04:28Everything came into existence by itself and continues doing so.
04:32The laws of nature created all of this and continue doing so.
04:37Therefore, a creator brought everything into existence from nothing and continues to create.
04:43If we prove that the first three are logically impossible, the fourth one becomes a rational
04:48necessity.
04:49Let's break it down.
04:50Atoms cannot be the ones behind this order.
04:53Because atoms came into existence later.
04:56How could matter bring itself into existence when it didn't even exist yet?
05:00Atoms are lifeless, mindless, unaware, and have no will.
05:05They don't have the knowledge or power to build such perfect systems.
05:09They cannot create life because they don't have life.
05:12And they can't control the harmony we see in the universe.
05:15So atoms can't be the answer.
05:18Second, it's also impossible for everything to just happen on its own.
05:23Because something cannot create itself.
05:25Imagine, can a mother give birth to herself?
05:29Of course not.
05:30As we said, in order to exist, it would have to already exist in the first place.
05:36But matter is not eternal, it's changing.
05:38Something that changes is not infinite.
05:41Moreover, when we look at an atom, it's weak, it's blind, it has no awareness, and it has
05:46no life.
05:48So there has to be an eternal being, full of will and power, unchanging, timeless, full
05:54of knowledge who brought it into being from nothing and controls it.
05:58The laws of nature cannot do this on their own either, because a law of nature is not
06:04a physical thing.
06:05It's just a name we give to how matter behaves in a certain pattern.
06:09Stabbing at the red light is a rule.
06:11But the rule itself has no power to stop the cars.
06:15The rule cannot punish anyone or keep order by itself.
06:19The rules don't operate on their own, they are enforced.
06:23In the same way, the laws of nature cannot do anything unless there is a conscious will
06:28behind them.
06:29In the end, it's clear that the first three options are impossible.
06:34And the existence of Allah is a truth that the mind cannot deny.
06:38Interestingly, agnostics often say we just can't know.
06:42But the strange thing is, they are usually fine with accepting one of the first three
06:46options we just mentioned, patterns, chance, or the laws of nature.
06:50Now for those who want to understand this issue more deeply, let's take a closer look
06:54at the main claims of agnosticism.
06:57There are three main claims in agnostic thinking.
07:00The first claim of agnostic philosophy is this.
07:03The human mind isn't capable enough to know a creator, so his existence cannot be known.
07:09But why?
07:10Who decides this?
07:11There is a difference between knowing that God exists, and fully understanding all of
07:16his attributes, like infinity.
07:18Of course, a limited mind cannot completely understand the infinite.
07:22But that doesn't mean we cannot know that he exists.
07:26For example, we may not fully understand the nature of electricity, but we never doubt that
07:30it exists.
07:31Because we see its effects, its light, and its power, and we say that there must be a source
07:36behind this.
07:38There are three levels of existence.
07:41necessary being, possible being, and impossible being.
07:47The existence of Allah is logically necessary.
07:50And that's what we call the necessary being.
07:54Think about it.
07:55Can we see an image on a TV screen if there is no electricity?
07:59If the main source is gone, everything else disappears with it.
08:03It doesn't just collapse, it never even starts.
08:07God is the main source of everything, and without him, we cannot talk about anything.
08:12If there is smoke, there must be fire.
08:14If there is shadow, there is light.
08:17If there is a letter, there must be a writer.
08:19If there is art, there must be an artist.
08:21The act of bringing this universe into existence also has a doer, and that is Allah.
08:28There is a remarkable statement in the Risale unit.
08:30An attribute cannot exist without the one it describes.
08:34In other words, if there is an attribute, it must belong to someone.
08:38For example, if you saw light sparkling on the surface of the sea, you would have to explain
08:42it.
08:43Either you say there is a sun above that reflects its light, or you accept that each water droplet
08:48has its own sun inside it.
08:51That's why someone who starts by saying, we cannot know whether God exists, ends up accepting
08:56all atoms as gods.
08:58But qualities that are reflected in the universe, such as life, mercy, wisdom, generosity, and
09:04so on, must belong to one God beyond atoms.
09:08The second fundamental claim of agnostic philosophy is this.
09:12Nothing can be known for certain unless it is observed physically or tested scientifically.
09:17But why?
09:18Who set this rule?
09:20Why should certain knowledge only come from scientific observation?
09:23We cannot say that something doesn't exist just because we can't see it.
09:27It's simply denying the truth by restricting ourselves to the limits we have set.
09:32People in Europe once believed that all swans were white, until black swans were discovered
09:37in Australia.
09:38Limiting ourselves to what we can see with our eyes, and then making a universal claim that
09:43something doesn't exist, is a serious mistake in thinking.
09:47Non-existence cannot be proven, and that's why denying the Creator's existence is, from
09:53the very beginning, a philosophy with no proof.
09:56Just an empty claim.
09:57Moreover, God is not a material being.
10:00So why should we expect to observe Him in an experimental setting?
10:05Also we believe in many things we cannot see.
10:07For example, no one sees gravity directly, right?
10:10But we observe its effects, experience its results, and accept its existence without a
10:16doubt.
10:17Or our soul, our feelings, our character, our thoughts, justice, law, morality, brotherhood,
10:24love, kindness, compassion, generosity, jealousy.
10:28Obviously, these are not material, but they are accepted by everyone and are lived by.
10:33While experiencing so many invisible truths, is it really logical to accept only what's
10:38visible, especially when logic itself is invisible?
10:42There are two basic types of knowledge, self-evidence and deductive.
10:46For example, do you need external evidence to know that you exist?
10:51That you are hungry, thirsty, sad, or happy?
10:54Of course not.
10:55These are things we know internally, without needing any proof.
10:59They are certain knowledge.
11:01In other words, we don't need scientific evidence for everything.
11:05Intuitive knowledge is an innate guide we are born with.
11:08And humans unconsciously know certain truths.
11:10For example, moral principles.
11:13It's wrong to harm another person for no reason.
11:15We know this intuitively.
11:17Or eating human flesh is wrong and disgusting, right?
11:20This intuition is embedded in us from birth.
11:23Or logical knowledge.
11:25Something cannot be both true and false at the same time.
11:27Or a whole is always greater than its part.
11:31We know this directly through intuition.
11:33Or mathematical knowledge.
11:35For example, five is greater than one.
11:38Or historical knowledge.
11:40We know that the past exists and has been experienced, right?
11:43So we don't need any scientific evidence, right?
11:45We could list many more examples like this.
11:48Humans learn not only from the external world, but also from their inner world.
11:53In the same way, we can also know the existence of the creator.
11:57Why should this be impossible?
11:58Also, science is changeable.
12:00It can make mistakes.
12:02And always comes up with new ideas.
12:04For example, science once said atoms couldn't be split, but they were.
12:09It said the universe was static, but we have discovered that it has a beginning and is expanding.
12:14To deny the existence of God based on a system that's always changing is to risk the eternal
12:20life after death, which is simply not logical.
12:23In fact, science is just an effort to understand how Allah governs the universe.
12:29Understanding a recipe doesn't mean denying the existence of the chef, right?
12:33Understanding how the universe works is the same.
12:36The third claim of agnostic philosophy is this.
12:38We cannot know whether God exists, so there is no need to worry about religion.
12:43But let's face the truth.
12:45Death is real and it's inevitable.
12:47It's a reality that will knock on everyone's door sooner or later.
12:52How can someone who worries about even a small stress at work ignore the risk of eternal
12:56torment after death?
12:58It's human nature to desire eternity and not want to be separated from loved ones.
13:03How can the thought of losing your mother, father or loved ones be insignificant?
13:08If we say, there is no need to seek answers to these questions or study stump, let's just
13:13enjoy life.
13:14We are only deceiving ourselves.
13:16Also, in reality, people can't live their everyday lives stuck in the middle, not sure
13:21about anything.
13:22Think about it.
13:23Smoke is coming from your house and someone says to you, it might be on fire.
13:28And the answer, I don't know, maybe, maybe not.
13:31Or it's pouring rain and someone says, your house might be flooding.
13:35And the answer, I don't know, maybe, maybe not.
13:39Let's just keep chatting.
13:40Do those answers make any sense to you?
13:42Of course not.
13:43Because in situations like that, people react clearly, they take action.
13:48Now think about this.
13:50There is a universe that was created out of nothing.
13:53There has to be a creator.
13:55And there is a prophet whose truth has stood the test of time.
13:58And there is a warning about the possibility of eternal hell.
14:02But then you hear this, I don't know, maybe, maybe not.
14:05I'll just go on with my life.
14:07Throughout the video, we presented many rational proofs.
14:11Even one example would be enough.
14:13But we explained more to make the issue clearer.
14:16In fact, only one rational answer is enough to accept Islam.
14:20Why?
14:20For example, imagine a palace with 100 doors that serves as a refuge from danger.
14:26There is no benefit in staying outside.
14:28On the contrary, there is pain and suffering out there.
14:31If only one door of the palace were open, what would you do?
14:35You would enter through that one door, right?
14:38Because it offers you safety and protection.
14:40In Islam, there are thousands of open doors.
14:44So why wouldn't a person want to enter it?
14:46Moreover, the entire universe screams out the existence of Allah.
14:50All it takes is to look closely and sincerely.
14:53The existence of our souls, where did it come from?
14:56From the atoms who don't have souls?
14:58Or the laws that govern everything in the universe?
15:01What exactly are these laws?
15:03Or the fine-tuning evidence?
15:05Doesn't it clearly point to Allah's existence?
15:08Additionally, through the evidence of need, the evidence of possibility and limitation,
15:12the evidence of cooperation, the evidence of purpose, the scientific and literary miracles
15:18in the Quran, its historical miracles, and its social miracles, despite being unlettered,
15:23our Prophet brought solutions that have remained valuable for centuries.
15:27This further demonstrates the existence of Allah.
15:31It's intellectually impossible to remain undecided.
15:34So is it more reasonable to be preoccupied with imaginary uncertainties?
15:38Or is it wiser to step towards the truth where mind and heart meet toward Islam?
15:44Life is a journey that passes in the blink of an eye.
15:47One day, it will end suddenly.
15:49When that day comes, you will no longer have the luxury of saying, I don't know.
15:54Now, while you are still breathing, it's time to think.
15:58Take a step.
15:59If eternal life is in question, how rational is it to remain blind to the greatest possibility?
16:05What if it's real?
16:06What if the one who created you is waiting for you?
16:10What if there is a God who loves you, knows you, and is ready to forgive you?
16:14And do yourself the greatest favor.
16:17Don't be afraid to face the truth.
16:19Agnosticism wants to keep you standing at the threshold of that door.
16:23But if you take that step, you might truly feel the meaning of your existence for the very first time.
16:29The choice is yours.
