00:00doing well thank you how are you very good I'm doing fine thank you very much
00:03I send you the link personally because I wasn't allowed to send links in the
00:10whatsapp group but hopefully once that the once that the group is available to
00:16send messages you can write your assistance in the group if you don't
00:20mind right that would be good mm-hmm so that's great excellent so so you were
00:27moved David to another group you know tell me what happened did they assign you
00:31a new group or what well actually the previous group was and the solution was
00:41close it's close yeah and I have to take the decision to close to finish my
00:50my class my painting class okay okay excellent
00:56again so although we will be studying here in the Cambridge the Cambridge course so
01:03we have to work on the grammar and the pronunciation you know vocabulary and how
01:10to improve our fluency and our English comprehension so in the previous group
01:19you used to have other classmates
01:23no teacher not really on me with you okay well that's a strange you know
01:30sometimes because I remember that in the other group we used to have some other
01:34members you know they were added to the group but they never join a class I don't
01:39remember exactly their names but there were other people you know like two or
01:43three more students but I don't know what happened to them really but but well
01:50here we are you know now these group it's completely individual you know
01:55completely personalized so it's gonna be like a little bit more affluent and it's
02:02gonna be a lot better in those aspects you know well they depend sometimes it's
02:06also good to have some classmates to practice with because that actually
02:11encourages you to to interact with other people and that's fine you know
02:16that's that's something really useful that certainly boosts your English to to
02:24another level because you're interacting in this case you you will only be
02:28interacting with me but okay but it's also important that you that you get to
02:34interact with other people other people that you can listen how their English is
02:41you know how you need to to listen to different accents you need to to interact
02:47about different topics you know so when you do that you start realizing what are
02:55your weaknesses and your strengths in vocabulary or in grammar because as much
03:01people as as many people as you have in your social circle where you can with
03:08whom you can interact with the better because you will you will get to know
03:13more topics more subjects you know you will have more possibilities of different
03:18kinds of conversations you know so that's that's important excellent very good so
03:25well here we are true so tell me how have you felt with your English David what do you
03:32think it's in your personal opinion the weakest aspect of your English or the one
03:39that you would like to improve a lot more well in my opinion teacher I think we have a lot of
03:47opportunities when with my speaking and also I think when I have to express the idea
03:55something is very difficult for me okay I think the weakness in this case could be the grammar the
04:05practice and and sometimes I don't have the opportunity to interact with the
04:11the interaction how you say when you say people with another yeah we have to meet
04:18to meet to meet with with other people to practice or to improve my English okay okay
04:27perfect I understand so well in that case remember that reading is a great aid you
04:32know reading it's a great tool that you have always available to learn new
04:37vocabulary and to expand your knowledge about different topics and the important thing with
04:43reading is that whenever you read something you need to to write about what you understood
04:49or about what you perceived from that material that you just read you you can not only do it
04:57with readings you can also do it with with songs or with movies or with series where you can
05:04actually watch and see what's what is the message that they are communicating and and you can and you
05:13can write your opinion about what that movie made you feel what was your experience like at the moment of
05:22watching that movie or listening to that new record from your favorite artist you know those are excellent
05:28tools to interact with and if you write about it or if you tell to somebody else about your personal
05:37experience with your starting process or with the movies that you watch or with the video games that
05:43you play or with the music that you listen to it's gonna be a lot it's gonna be a huge advantage at the moment of
05:50finding new new strategies of interactions and you will feel more comfortable with your english remember
05:59that most of the times whenever we don't feel comfortable with our english is mostly because
06:06we tend to um to not use it frequently you know we tend to interact just once in a while you know we
06:13seldom interact with people but we we do want to interact with more with more people in a more
06:21frequent way but sometimes it's not always possible but it's always important to look for the opportunities
06:27to look for the areas where you can actually interact with uh with more people for example
06:35in different cities it's very common that you can find different uh tourists you know or or visitors to
06:42your city to your country foreign people that are that are actually coming from different countries
06:49it's a great opportunity to interact with them because you can uh for example you can help them to find a
06:56place or you can uh help them to give them a recommendation you know about a certain place and from that on
07:04you start getting new interactions you know so i think that's that's a great tool however sometimes we feel
07:12like limited or sometimes we may feel shy at the moment of finding new people but just give it a try you
07:18know i'm very sure that you will feel uh really comfortable right okay teacher thank you yes there we
07:25go excellent very good so uh yeah and grammar well sometimes grammar it's uh quite tedious in certain aspects
07:35but it's uh necessary because it's the aspect that gives you the rules that you that you require that
07:41you need in order to know how to express properly for example here here we have a reading about routines
07:50uh describing your routines when you think you can't you know so for example here from the very title
07:58of this reading that we're about to listen because it's a really interesting article about uh about
08:04athletes and sports sports people you know i think this this woman is very famous if i'm not mistaken
08:10she's uh she's uh she's uh she's also got a movie inspired in in her life so in this case from the very
08:19title from the very title we can make a conclusion we can express an opinion for example when you think
08:27you can't so here we go with uh with a very useful adjective where we can start by writing something
08:34like this title this title is very it's very suggestive it's very suggestive and thoughts provoking you
08:44know and thought provoking because it's a thought or a situation that many people experience
08:54in their lives in their lives we always have limitations or pre-learned boundaries in our minds however
09:12it's it's crucial to understand that we can overcome whatever challenge whatever challenge
09:23that we get to face you know and then you have like a simple paragraph like a simple structure
09:31that you can elaborate from what you read because i'm elaborating i'm elaborating from this
09:38from this title in particular which is when you think you can't if nothing comes to your mind that
09:46you say you know what i want to write i want to express my opinion in terms in terms of what i'm
09:54reading in terms of what i'm seeing for example this picture you know this this first one of these two two
09:59men playing uh rugby championship or of these women surfing on uh surfing in the sea you know over
10:08the uh the sea waves i mean we can make uh opinions based on pictures as well but which is a lot easier
10:16because you are seeing something graphically but if nothing comes to your mind it's really important
10:22if nothing comes to your mind it's really important that you can that you can start describing an
10:27experience of your own whenever you start remembering something that you recall from an early stage of your
10:34life it's going to be a lot easier to start from there as a scratch you know and to start elaborating
10:41your opinion in a more complex and elaborated and detailed way you know for example here this is an
10:48example but i could have started by saying for instance um uh i remember you know i remember i remember
10:58that one day i wanted to learn how to serve how to serve really bad you know how to serve really bad i mean
11:11like i was so eager for learning how to serve how to get involved in this extreme sport that there is you
11:19know i wanted to learn how to serve really bad however i was always afraid of the ocean i was so
11:28always afraid of the ocean i was always afraid of water you know i was always afraid of the ocean or water
11:36that was the main reason that was the main reason for which i didn't i didn't
11:47i didn't sign i didn't sign i didn't sign for a free surfing surfing learning course
11:58learning learning course that had been given uh that had been given near to the shore near to the
12:11shore in the city where i live and that's an experience you know that you have another one
12:17they have another one related to these to this concept that we have here on the title of this reading
12:23which is when you think that you can't you know when you think that you can it's a situation
12:29where we have all been there you know we we all have been there you know it's a situation where it's
12:35a very common situation that most people experience at some point of their lives and uh and well it's
12:43important to analyze it to look at it objectively and to understand why in the first uh in the first uh
12:51place i had this limitation or this boundary or this restriction psychological restriction in my mind
13:00of this constant belief that i couldn't do something in particular you know we really need to
13:08to question that to object that to say you know what i i think that i'm capable of doing this but for some
13:16reason in my mind i have this constant thoughts that i that i can't you know so when you analyze
13:24that you know you start analyzing the text if nothing comes to your mind you can always read a little
13:31bit you know so that the ideas may start flowing into your mind and that's how that's a good strategy
13:38because in this case in this case is as if you were it is as if you were having a conversation with
13:45yourself or a conversation with somebody else where you can actually where you can actually uh look at a
13:52text in particular and start uh an opinion about it you know to write an opinion about it um it's also it's
14:02also a good challenge sometimes it's fun that you can share it online for instance to facebook or to
14:08instagram or to twitter or any other social network out there so that you can see how many people react
14:16to your to your to your um to your subjects you know and uh let me see pause right here so and that's
14:30and that's very useful because whenever you share your thoughts whenever you share what you think what
14:37you feel uh you start getting or you start feeling a lot more confidence you know you start feeling a lot
14:45more confidence because you see that the message that you had sent it's understood for many other people you
14:54know or by many other people so that's a good strategy and sometimes we don't we don't always take advantage
15:05of it for example here we have before you reach preview look only at the title photos
15:13and captions you see here it gives you some rules so that you can practice this look only at the title which
15:22is what we just did right here you know we only focus on the title look only at the title photos
15:28and captions here we have the photos here we've got the captions you know the captions are like these
15:35uh short subtitles below the picture so what we can get a a little bit of um of a hint
15:43of what what what is the picture about you know we can get some clues we can get some information
15:49related to the main picture that we that we uh see on these on this part of our book
15:57so we mainly concentrate on the graphic elements you know which is the title this picture and these
16:04other picture that we have here we can also we can also focus on the first paragraph you know you
16:11can read the first paragraph if you want to get to get further information that's there's nothing
16:16wrong about it but but it's always important to look at the picture it's a good practice to look at
16:21pictures and start describing what you see or what what this picture makes you feel in order to
16:28to um uh how can we say to boost your creativity you know creativity is always necessary
16:36creativity is only is always necessary not only in arts but also in english and in life for example
16:41sometimes whenever you face a difficult situation you need creativity to to to think how you're going
16:48to look for a solution you know how you're going to to uh like to solve the situation you know um
16:58so creativity it's it's always there and so is here in english you know creativity will help you to
17:03uh create a more uh detail or a more sophisticated paragraph where you can actually express your
17:12ideas in a better way for example in this first blue paragraph that we created we can say this title
17:20is very suggestive and thought provoking thought provoking is a very useful adjective because it shows you
17:29that it's a title or a picture or a topic that makes you think you know that that provokes you
17:37to think in something in particular you know so it makes you question yourself it makes you wonder
17:44yourself like to say you know what i would like to know more about this information or why this situation
17:51is actually uh occurring you know so it's something really it's something really useful actually
17:59so there we go thought provoking uh how do you ever heard that adjective before uh david
18:06not sure the first time okay it's very useful because it's it's uh it's a compound adjective that's
18:13compound adjective means that it's an adjective uh formed by two words thoughts it's for example an
18:22idea you know an idea or a feeling that you may find that you may have in your mind and provoking it's
18:29it's uh it's the adjective you know provoking it's something that causes something in in into you you
18:36you know that's that's that's the main definition so thought provoking as it uh in its whole means
18:44something that causes you or that provokes you to think or to reflection on uh on something in
18:52particular right so it's uh it's a very useful adjective actually and uh and really practical so we have
19:03this title is very suggestive and thought provoking because it's a thought or a situation that many
19:10people experience in their lives we always have limitations or pre-learned boundaries in our minds
19:19but we can also add some other words right here for example you can add here we always tend we always tend
19:27uh to have uh to have or we're always linked to have there are different expressions that you can add here
19:34like we we we always tend to have limitations or pre-learned boundaries in our minds however it's crucial
19:43to understand that we can overcome whatever challenge that we get to face or that we may face you know you
19:52don't want to to sound so straightforward you can add that we may face you know that actually softens
20:01a little bit more the expression so that we may face because it's an hypothesis it's a probability we
20:06may get to face a lot of various things in our lives so we would better be prepared for them and
20:14um so whatever challenge that we may face so unlike a conversation unlike a conversation this strategy of
20:24reading and writing it's rather useful because it'll help you to uh correct your ideas and to analyze
20:32and to see to perceive exactly how you read and how you elaborate how you create your your ideas
20:40and it's a lot more practical for your mind for your brain because in this uh following this strategy
20:48you can correct you can change whatever you want uh unlike in a conversation in a conversation you
20:55cannot always correct you have to speak fluently and in the in the in the course of your of your speech
21:03you may want to add more information or you may want to correct or to verify
21:09something that you said but once that you have said something it's not it's not erasable you know
21:16you cannot you cannot correct it you cannot erase it uh you cannot change it it's not changeable you
21:23know that's the the positive aspect of of uh the written english that you can analyze it you can see it
21:30you can correct it you can correct it do you do you have any questions right here do you have any questions
21:35right here okay so that's that's good and eventually you can for example incorporate both
21:46for example let's say that that we have this let me see how can i i i don't i don't know if i can yes
21:53i can write here like to to uh decrease the size right here and we're gonna do it something like this a little bit
22:10let's see eventually once that you have both of your ideas it's really practical that you can
22:17that you can put them all together you know like in a single paragraph and right here as you can see
22:25you have a very detailed paragraph of what this title makes you think and something related to a
22:33personal experience it's just that right now you just need to um it's just that you just need to link
22:41both of the paragraphs together for example here we could actually use a very handy connector however
22:47it's crucial to understand that we can overcome whatever challenge that we may face and then you can
22:55say for example for instance for instance i remember that one day um or for example for instance i'd like
23:06to mention i'd like to mention that i remember that one day i wanted to learn how to serve really bad you see
23:13so you can connect using your connectors using your conjunctions you connect your ideas you connect your
23:21ideas in order to to uh well like to give a different a more sophisticated appearance to your and a more
23:31sophisticated sound uh certainly to your english you know so that's that's really useful
23:40which is uh this is a very common skill that it's necessary in cambridge for example in cambridge
23:45let's say for example that we see
23:51let me look for a picture right here a picture which is uh useful to to describe you know like
24:00like like for example
24:03for example in cambridge is very useful that you will be presented with different types of uh of pictures
24:11oh my god that's really for example here right we have we have this picture and uh suddenly the
24:19interviewer of your cambridge test is going to show you a couple of pictures for you to analyze for you to
24:25reflection on and for you to elaborate an opinion for you to express something about uh what you are
24:33seeing currently so right here you you uh it's something that you see and you say well uh it's a desert
24:41you know it's desert i'd see that there's a small lake in the middle of the scenery and uh the earth the
24:49soil looks really dry you know it's completely dry out and this is a very common problem that
24:54a lot of people in uh in in african countries or middle eastern countries suffer from and uh
25:02while it's a really drastic situation that i think that more governments or institutions
25:07should start paying more attention to these type of problems that you have you know that you have an
25:13opinion about what you're seeing it's just that you practice but the strategy to practice this is in
25:21the first in the first place through writing through writing because in writing you can correct you know
25:28as we have seen here so that's a necessary skill that's a necessary skill that we need and curiously
25:36it's exactly the skill where most students uh tend to fail because it requires practice it requires
25:46concentration it requires analysis to see how you're creating your ideas you see
25:59yes teacher so there we go so in this case for example we have
26:02this question what do these two people have in common right what do these two people have in common
26:10the questions always help us to get more ideas you know to get more detailed ideas of what we're
26:17seeing here for example we can compare these two men playing rugby with this uh girl surfing on the waves
26:24you know surfing on the sea waves um we can compare different aspects
26:29what do you think they have to do in order to participate successfully in their sports
26:38what do you think they have to do in order to pursue to participate successfully in their sports so
26:43these are always useful questions because these are very simple questions to discuss that actually
26:50get us a little bit more engaged to use our english and that's something great for example
26:57in this case uh by simply looking at these two pictures uh david what do you think that these two people
27:06have in common what do you see
27:11these two people uh they are sports they have abilities to like strange okay in that case you can say
27:22they are sport sports people or they are athletes you know because remember that sport is a noun
27:31mm-hmm okay but what what was the other the other um the other word feature oh athletes athletes
27:42okay okay they are athletes uh what else do you think that they have in common what about um i don't
27:54know uh their nationalities or the uh i don't know is it uh a similar sport it requires the same type of
28:05effort it requires the same type of discipline what other aspects do they have uh in common
28:12even you can even you can uh you can uh even list a psychological aspects that you can actually see from
28:17them you know mm-hmm yeah so being a secret a psychology aspect is a good point for for them
28:30and i think they are of different uh countries different nationalities
28:36uh but i can see they they are disciplined with um with the sport
28:46mm-hmm they are disciplined yes exactly perfect that's good i would also say that they are really uh brave
28:54you know because they have certain uh physical limitations but still they continue they continue
29:02uh um how can we say trying to overcome their own boundaries trying to actually inspire other people
29:11to continue uh to continue doing what they're passionate about you know so i think it's a
29:18uh it's a really good message the the one that is shown here so there we have it you know excellent
29:25very good so there we have what do you think they have to do in order to participate successfully in
29:32their in their their sports for example uh these guys are using a wheelchair so what do you think that
29:40uh in particularity of the first picture what do you think that these these guys here
29:46uh they they what do they need to do in order to participate successfully in their in their disciplined
29:53they didn't they need they need to have uh fish physical this capacity for this and support uh but also i think they have to be uh
30:15stronger
30:17i know
30:24okay they have to be stronger so for example in this case what would be the importance of uh strength
30:31you know strength strength is enough and strong is the person so what would be what would be the
30:37importance what would be the importance for example what would be the importance of uh mental strengths in
30:47in these people what do you think
30:49that's a very important for this sport uh they'd be uh strength people but um
31:06anything is everything in this case
31:09they have the opportunity to uh inspire another people with this with this uh with this sport
31:22excellent very good so that's the idea you know as as long as you start uh speaking more and more
31:28the better you know so that's that's something uh really important so that you can use
31:34your your vocabulary if you make a mistake that don't worry that's not a problem it's common you just
31:40learn from that and you continue but try to use uh your english as much as possible
31:46write about what you think uh describe this topic to somebody else sometimes a very good strategy to
31:53learn a certain topic is through explaining the topic that you just learned to somebody else
31:58so for example if i just uh read a book about science and i want to and i wanted that topic that
32:05i just read of sticks really clear on my mind i i go to strategies to explain that topic that i just read
32:14so i can i can have it a lot uh clearer in my mind because whenever you explain something it's really
32:23important that the other person understands you you know so it's a it's a really good strategy to learn
32:29something if you want to learn something try to to learn the subject that you're trying to to understand
32:38or to learn or the ability or the discipline and then try to explain those aspects that you studied
32:46to somebody else so therefore the other person uh will if the other person understands what you just
32:55explained to him or to her uh you will get the feeling that what you read was profitable was uh positive
33:05and that it was uh completely understood by by your uh cognition you know by your mind or by your intelligence
33:15so it's another good strategy so we're going to to listen to this reading right here which is
33:23very interesting let me share the audio right here here we go let's see
33:34listen
33:38read and listen
33:39when you think you can't mark zupin when he was 18 years old a terrible accident made mark
33:51zupin a quadriplegic and changed his life forever at first he could hardly move his arms or legs normally
33:59however after a lot of hard work he was able to use his arms to move his wheelchair and he could even
34:07stand for a short time and take a few slow steps zupin or zoop to his friends became a quad rugby
34:15champion helping his team win a gold medal in the paralympic games i dream about running all the time he
34:21says but you can't live in the past today zupin frequently gives talks and raises money for his sport
34:29and appears in movies and tv shows anyone who spends time with him forgets that he's in a wheelchair
34:35he lifts weights at the gym every day drives a car and goes to rock concerts a lot of people think
34:42quadriplegics can't do anything he says to stay in shape zupin is careful about his diet and avoids
34:49unhealthy and fatty foods just think of me as a human being and an athlete because that's who i am
34:55bethany hamilton at the age of 13 surfer bethany hamilton had a dream she wanted to be a champion
35:06in her sport but she lost her left arm when she was attacked by a shark a month later she was surfing
35:14again today she's a professional competitive surfer because she can only use one arm she has to use her
35:22legs more to help her go in the right direction hamilton practices every day at the beach she has
35:29a prosthetic arm but she rarely uses it and never when she's surfing hamilton often appears on tv
35:37she wants to help other people follow their dreams even when they face great difficulties people can do
35:43whatever they want if they just set their hearts to it and just never give up
35:50in 2011 hollywood made a movie about her experience bethany has a happy life and got married in 2013
36:03so that we have you know that we have a brief description right here of these uh two individuals
36:10you know two athletes to uh inspiring people uh related to uh mark zupin and bethany
36:19hamilton which are these two athletes so what did you understood uh david from mark zupin's description
36:28of uh his life and uh his main motivation to do what he does
36:38well i think he's uh he's an example for another people because he has he has to um
36:49uh overcome overcome overcome overcome overcome difficulties uh difficulties in here in his life
37:01excellent so what what does he generally do in order to spread worldwide its message of uh of his life of
37:11his um of his um of his struggle to overcome this disability what does he do in order to like to spread this message
37:21around the world
37:29um
37:34what was the question teacher yeah what what does mark zupin what does he do to spread the message
37:53of his disability and his struggle around the world like you know the message that he communicates what
38:00what what does he do to inspire more people uh you can live in the past okay you can't live in the past
38:08okay you can't live in the past it's a a message okay well in that case you have to elaborate your phrase
38:17i mean i understand the idea but you would have to say he usually says that you cannot live in the past or you
38:27cannot stay in the past because it will set a limitation in your life you gotta continue you gotta
38:34go on so this is the main message that he communicates you know it's a lot different it's a lot different
38:40to simply say you can stay in the past i mean i understand that we're talking about mark zupin and this
38:46is the main message that he communicates that he conveys worldwide but to elaborate the idea clearly
38:54we must say uh he explains or he says or he communicates that's you know try to to answer one
39:04more time what does mark zupin do in order to spread his message worldwide and to inspire other people
39:13what do you think okay he cannot stay in the past he he need to keep moving um to overcome very
39:23difficulties in in his life but always they have the positive idea a positive brain to be a strength
39:35and mentally strength okay mentally strong mentally strong strength is the noun you know strength is what
39:44he possess in his mind in his physique in his spirit you know that's the strength for example when when
39:52people say the strength comes from your heart or your strength comes from your mind you know your
40:00strength your strength is like your your boost you know your energy that's the noun that is strong
40:07strong as a person strong as a situation or strong as an individual like mark zupin is very strong because he
40:17overcame so many obstacles in his life you know because he possesses he possesses he possesses he possesses a brave
40:29strength in his heart you know so strength is a noun strong is the adjective right and strongly
40:39it's an adverb so we gotta be careful there stronger is the comparative strongest is the superlative so
40:48there are different interesting words that we can analyze from there excellent very good so well in this
40:54case he also says that he gives talks and lectures in order to raise money you know it's for for his
41:03for his sport for his discipline and uh well he appears in movies and tv shows uh did you ever watch a movie
41:15about uh about this guy uh devon no teacher yeah me neither you know but it would be very interesting to
41:24to do so it will be very interesting to see what his story i remember that i watched the one uh uh regarding
41:30bethany hamilton you know that i actually watched that one you see it's a great movie it's a great movie
41:36like uh there was she was surfing on the sea waves one day and suddenly she comes across to a white shark
41:44in australia if i'm not mistaken and this uh white shark this giant one shark uh rips off her her left arm
41:54you know in a single bite and uh fortunately she survived you know because um a bite from a shark it
42:02could be lethal you know so it could be deadly at some point so it's she's really lucky to have
42:08survived which unfortunately it's a rather common situation that generally tends to happen to um to surfers
42:16to swimmers uh to um scuba divers you know i mean everyone who gets in the ocean it's it takes this risk
42:27you know and it's and it's unfair because the ocean is beautiful and sometimes it invites you to explore
42:34and it invites you to like to wander around the ocean freely without without fear you know but
42:42unfortunately there are some wild species that of course well is their instincts and uh and well they
42:50they they suddenly attack you know that's that's a problem but um but i think that
42:59that it requires a lot of uh courage from these people to uh continue doing what they're what they
43:06love you know what they what their passions are after suffering after suffering these uh wildlife attacks
43:16you know in in the case of bethany hamilton or in the case of mark zupan because of his disability you
43:24know which is another form to uh to overcome difficulties and to to continue you know to persevere
43:31to like to continue with uh with strength with braveness with inspiration because there are people
43:41that actually inspire a lot of uh people especially young people you know because sometimes young people
43:46feel like um completely uh lost in their lives you know they don't know what to do they don't know what to
43:52study they don't know how are they gonna be accepted in society or in society or sometimes even they have some
43:59family issues and uh fortunately these stories um get them to have a different perspective of what life
44:10is you know and and why is it important to and what it is important to to continue you know to go on so
44:17that's uh that's really inspiring so that we have here bethany hamilton hamilton was attacked oh by a
44:24tiger tiger shark it was a tiger shark it wasn't a a white shark sorry that was my bad but it's still
44:31very dangerous you know all kinds of sharks are extremely dangerous hamilton was attacked by a tiger
44:38shark when she was 13 you know if i'm not mistaken she lived in australia right if i'm not mistaken something
44:48like that so what did you understand from this part of uh bethany uh david bethany's bethany's hamilton story
44:59yeah and she was very um the courage to keep moving and you can say that she was very brave right
45:10very great very great uh-huh very great uh to continuous here's life after this accident
45:19with her life her life to continue her life her life after this this accident and i think it's a good
45:28example for many people that's good excellent brilliant so did you ever watch uh her movie
45:36no teacher okay so in this case did you ever practice uh surfing or uh rugby at some point of your
45:48of your life david uh only rugby rugby one time excellent very good which is if i'm not mistaken
45:57it's a lot more violent than football right yes yes right you you're not wearing any kinds of
46:04protections yes it's they have more contact with um that's correct this sport so what got you interested
46:16on practicing this uh discipline david and sorry teacher but the question yes like what got you
46:25interested in uh practicing this discipline like what was uh your main motivation to to practice rugby or to
46:33getting into rugby you know well in the case of rugby because some cousins practice this this deeper this
46:40sport and they and they told me about this um this discipline so i have the courage to practice with
46:49them some sometimes and actually i like it but it's a very um a contact sport so is is more dangerous than
47:02than others than other uh sport that's true it's a very aggressive sport sometimes it's it's quite
47:11difficult to measure the uh all the hits that you're gonna take in the middle of a game you know i've seen
47:17that some players are severe uh are severely injured in some games uh some some of these players get their
47:26nose completely uh completely uh broken or or a leg or an arm or a shoulder completely uh taken out of
47:34place you know so it's uh it's a rather dangerous it's a rather dangerous uh sport
47:43but well when um or you can even get like uh your wrist or your shoulder completely dislocated you know that's
47:51a very that's a uh a severe injury you know a serious injury so did you ever get any injuries here uh
47:59david and if so what was your like your attitude to overcome this
48:08uh unfortunately teacher island i don't have any any injury in the past okay well sometime when i was
48:17playing soccer football soccer okay i have an accident with my nose i don't know how to say this vr
48:27like uh let's say
48:33like for example you got a divert nose divert notes
48:38divert nose or my nose why divert it by a hit you know okay okay well that's uh that's very dangerous
48:54so what did you do what did you do after that well i have to go to the i have to go to the um to the
49:01hospitality and i have an operation in my nose oh a surgery right surgery oh my god yes so how long did it
49:12take you to recover completely around uh six months six months after the surgery okay six months oh well
49:23that's a long time so uh were you able to breathe actually uh it was very difficult when i have to
49:33at the beginning after that it was a easier okay okay well that's uh that sounds severe and uh what about
49:43your recovery after the six months have passed did you feel uh normal again did you feel back to normal or
49:52did you have some uh did you have some issues in your nose well at the beginning i like discomfort right
50:04discomfort with this and actually i bet i feel very nervous when i was to play soccer again actually
50:13until today i have i have this this problem when i was playing oh my god yes yes of course it's a
50:21difficult uh experience to overcome but uh uh do you use any kind of uh protection on your nose like
50:29on your face because i've seen that they they use some of that right yes i i i i saw i saw some
50:36protection but actually i don't use it okay so why is it the main reason for which you don't use it you
50:44don't feel comfortable or what's the main reason for it uh well the first i don't feel comfortable but uh
50:52big what also uh i not i find it good protection for the nose okay i understand right well even sometimes
51:05it's difficult to see you know whenever you use a kind of a protection over your your eyes or on your
51:12nose or or a helmet sometimes is it uh it obstructs your vision you know so it's kind of uh it's kind
51:21of tedious to to to wear those in in certain uh in certain moments so it's like whenever you go skateboarding
51:30skateboarding you know whenever you do skateboarding whenever you you do um rollerblading uh you can
51:37use a helmet but sometimes people say you know i i feel that uh unbalanced with a helmet with a helmet
51:44down i don't feel comfortable with it i know that it's uh an indication for safety but i don't feel
51:52i don't feel uh comfortable by wearing a helmet you know some people say that
51:56but i think that those sports are very very dangerous especially because if you receive
52:03a very strong hit in your head it could be deadly it could be really dangerous right
52:10yes that's the point that's the point excellent break so that we have here we are discussing you are
52:17discussing this uh we have like two uh two lessons uh per week you know we we come
52:25on monday and wednesday so i'm gonna see you until wednesday david right i'm gonna see you until
52:32wednesday so once that um um that the school uh available uh or sets availability mode in uh in

53:10information that you're reading that's really important so that you can get used to read and to
53:16think in english at the same time you know try to practice that uh whenever you feel stucked try to
