00:00We've got Ole Miss and Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl.
00:02I don't even want to set the table for this.
00:05I am just going to ask you what this spread line is,
00:08because, my goodness, it could take 10 minutes.
00:10Well, I think most people on Friday, and this is a noon kickoff,
00:15are going to be more interested for this game to hurry up and be over,
00:18because that's the new level of intrigue that we have
00:21with the Lane Kiffin Express, the impending decision.
00:25This has got shades of, like, the whole LeBron thing
00:28with the Miami Heat, right, back in the day.
00:31Like, where's Jim Gray?
00:33Is he showing up here at the Egg Bowl to interview Kiffin afterwards
00:36for the announcement?
00:38The reality is this line opened up right around six, six and a half,
00:43and we've seen it move up to about seven in a lot of spots.
00:47But there is a little pushback.
00:49Why?
00:49Because it's a huge distraction for the Rebels.
00:52You've got to be kidding me.
00:53They already have in the back pocket, they know,
00:56win and you're in the college football playoff.
00:59You don't have to play in the SEC championship
01:00if they win this game, and heck, not even if they don't win this game.
01:05They're likely in the college football playoff.
01:08So what are you going to get from a locker room
01:10that is waiting, just like everyone else,
01:13whether or not Kiffin is going to be there next year,
01:16or heck, is he even going to be coaching them
01:20during the postseason here?
01:21So I would not be shocked if this line continues to move
01:25towards Mississippi State.
01:28It's great, too, because, and the people out there that go,
01:30you better win this game.
01:32You telling me that Florida and LSU are like,
01:34shit, you didn't win the Egg Bowl.
01:35We're just going to rescind this 90 million bucks
01:37or knock it down to $55 million?
01:39Stop it.
01:40The one thing we do, though, the only shocking thing would be
01:42he wins that Egg Bowl and goes,
01:44it's never going anywhere anyway.
01:45Just wanted to bring out the drama,
01:46and away we go into the college football playoff.
01:48He's going to leave.
01:49The question is, should it have just left before the Egg Bowl?
01:51We'll certainly find that out.
01:52How about Texas A&M and Texas?
01:54A&M punching their ticket already into the college football playoff,
01:56regardless of how this game ends.
01:58This is only a two-and-a-half-point line
02:00as a favorite to the road team A&M over Texas.
02:03Can Arch, Manning, and Sark step up one more time
02:06and knock a zero into a one in the loss column for A&M?
02:10What's your spread line here?
02:12Well, this is obviously, I think, the biggest game on Friday
02:16outside of the Lane Kiffin news here.
02:18This will be 7.30 Eastern time, Donnie, on Friday.
02:22And listen, the Aggies are trying to do the whole perfect regular season
02:27and, more importantly, avoid any of the tiebreaker scenarios
02:31because if they do lose this game, then they're tied with Georgia.
02:35They're tied with Ole Miss.
02:36They could be tied with Alabama in the SEC conference standings.
02:40And Texas is probably, it wins over Notre Dame
02:46and maybe if they can win this game, we've always said it, right?
02:49They have an opportunity to beat a 1-3 loss team that could actually sneak in.
02:53Now, this line has been, look ahead, mostly around two-and-a-halves.
02:57We're starting to see a little extra juice now being tacked on.
03:01I don't think this ever gets the three, Donnie.
03:03So, to me, my suggestion would be pick the winner and bet it on the money line.
03:08Who do you think?
03:09Does Texas get the outright upset or do you think Texas A&M finishes the perfect season?
03:14I wouldn't even mess with the spread.
03:17Yeah, you know what?
03:17I'm sort of leaning towards the foil of that perfect season with Texas.
03:20We'll find out there, certainly.
03:22How about Ohio State and Michigan?
03:23Big game here.
03:24Why?
03:24If Michigan wins, Joe, they throw the ultimate wrench in the college football play.
03:29Ohio State's supposed to win.
03:30And they're favored by double digits in this game.
03:31It is on the road with a low total, 44-and-a-half to 43-and-a-half,
03:35depending on where you're shopping at.
03:37Freezing temperatures expected for this game on Saturday.
03:41I love the drama of this one, Joe.
03:42What's your spread line here?
03:44I cannot wait to see where this line goes, Donnie.
03:47There are a ton of factors in play here.
03:50Obviously, Michigan has won four now in a row, I think, over Ohio State.
03:55So, we've seen this 10-and-a-half point line kind of be stuck in the mud here.
04:01Will it continue to rise?
04:03And you mentioned the weather conditions there.
04:05We also know Ohio State's top two wide receivers, not exactly fully healthy here.
04:12But, I mean, the Ohio State defense has only given up 68 total points in eight games.
04:17So, this might only be first one to 20, Donnie, ends up winning this game.
04:22So, I think there's going to be a lot more love in the total in this game
04:26than there might be somebody running to the window and hurry up and laying the 10-and-a-half.
04:31I don't know that it moves much more than where it is,
04:33but I think the total is the one that we're going to see drop.
04:37Especially last year.
04:38Take a look at the game where Ohio State was just supposed to roll Michigan.
04:41Michigan shows up and basically felt like they ran a wildcat the whole game
04:44and out-physicaled Ohio State and beat them.
04:46Then Ohio State goes on to win a national championship.
04:48Fun theater and fun drama to watch it play out.
04:51College football.
04:53Can you believe it?
04:54It's tough to say at this point, Joe.
04:56Well, we sit here on November the 26th.
04:59Don't you remember me and you talking about week zero?
05:01Wow, look at this.
05:02Like, Hawaii's playing.
05:03This is going to be great.
05:03But we've got to wait until week one to get a good game
05:05because it's going to be Texas and Ohio State.
05:08The final week of the regular season, which is rivalry week here.
05:11It's amazing how quick and how much fun football season is.
05:14But we still have a lot of football left over.
05:16There was a television program on last night, Joe.
05:18It's a college football playoff show.
05:20People are angry.
05:21They can't explain themselves.
05:22There is no explanation because you're supposed to win it on the field,
05:25but that's not what happens in college football.
05:27You only take a select group of teams and have odd ways to get into the tournament,
05:30and away you go.
05:31But if we look, Ohio State and Indiana, number one and number two.
05:34There's no surprises there.
05:35The top ten, Bama, you get it.
05:37But here's the interesting one.
05:39Miami is now still ahead of Utah in that 12th spot.
05:43There is a legitimate chance that Miami can get in with a little bit of help
05:46and also what's going to take place in those championship games.
05:49Looking at that, let's just say, top 12 here for 12 teams to compete.
05:54How are we feeling about that?
05:55Any movers and shakers?
05:56Any big-time upsets here that could shake up the standings?
06:00Well, they're going to have to because we just – I mean,
06:03the college football committee had a pretty easy job there, Donnie,
06:07because I believe the top 14 teams from the previous week all won in week 13.
06:12So there wasn't a whole lot of jockeying for position here as far as that goes.
06:17Tech remaining at number five is interesting because, you know,
06:22they are a three- or four-touchdown favorite right now over West Virginia
06:26in West Virginia.
06:27I don't anticipate them having any problems there.
06:30Then if they win that, Donnie, then it really won't matter what the BYU-Texas Tech
06:35round two for the Big 12 championship is.
06:38I think Texas Tech locks itself in.
06:41So I think there are a number of teams that just simply by winning
06:45and whether or not they're in or win their conference championship,
06:50there are becoming fewer and fewer spots, I think,
06:55because of the resumes of these teams that are going to be available
06:58for the Miamis of the world or Utahs or BYUs here, Donnie.
07:03Here's what's going to be the tough one because the committee is praying this happens
07:06because there's no real arguments outside of Notre Dame and Miami
07:11and how that's playing out.
07:12Like if the college football playoff could make that go away,
07:14nobody would have any issues with where the seating would be.
07:16The teams were in, oh, this team should be eighth instead of seventh.
07:19That's a nothing burger right there.
07:20But the one thing they can't escape is if this plays out and Miami does finish,
07:26let's just say, I don't know, 11th, but then again, the ACC champion goes,
07:29they don't get to go, and Notre Dame finishes ninth.
07:32I'm sorry.
07:33Like I think Notre Dame right now is a better football team than Miami,
07:36but that's not the point.
07:37You don't play things on paper.
07:38But if you have two teams within two ranking spots and one team beat the other
07:43with the same identical records, that doesn't make any sense.
07:46And that's what they can't get around or explain at this point.
07:48Their worst nightmare is going to be if Miami pummels Pitt
07:51and what they have to do with it.
07:53Because keep in mind, Pitt is ranked 22nd.
07:55This isn't a Virginia Tech or layup that you get again at the end of the season.
07:59That's a pretty good opponent that you're going to play on the road
08:01if you beat by two touchdowns.
08:02That's going to change.
08:03Now for me, just drop the group of five teams, put Miami in,
08:06and nobody has any issues.
08:08But we're staring down the barrel of, in the end, all be all.
08:11Will it be that, oh, you left Miami out?
08:13They could have won a national championship.
08:14Probably not.
08:15It's just bad optics as it sits here, Joe.
08:17And I'm going to ask you this, because a lot's going to go down this weekend.
08:20We're not going to be here on Thursday or Friday.
08:23Do you think Miami has a legitimate chance to get in?
08:25Because it's not a powerball long shot.
08:29They need a couple minor adjustments and a win at Pitt,
08:31and they're probably getting in.
08:33Well, if they win convincingly at Pitt, they may need a little bit of help.
08:38And maybe the help, Donnie, that they're going to need
08:41is by Lane Kiffin announcing he is leaving Ole Miss.
08:45Because what does the committee do if the head coach won't be there
08:50and all of a sudden walks away from the pro?
08:52They kept Florida State out a couple of years ago
08:55because they lost a quarterback.
08:56What happens if the head coach at Ole Miss is like,
09:00yeah, listen, great season, guys.
09:02You're going to have to win.
09:03You're going to have to go to the playoffs without me.
09:05What does the committee do then, Donnie?
09:08Could Ole Miss automatically drop out and open up a spot?
09:13That could be the kind of help Miami needs.
09:16Yeah, it could.
09:17By the way, in the SEC, Joe, let's just say Alabama beats Auburn.
09:21Are they automatically in the SEC championship game if they win that game?
09:25Because the Bulldogs are 7-1.
09:27But obviously, so A&M is going to get in.
09:30But who's the number two team?
09:31Would it be Alabama if they win their end?
09:33It would be Georgia.
09:35It's going to be Georgia.
09:37Yeah, 1-2.
09:38Whoever number 1-2 is, except, and that's why if Texas A&M loses this week,
09:43then it becomes a tiebreaker situation
09:45because you'll have a lot of one-loss teams in the SEC.
09:48So, wait, you're telling me that Georgia is going to get in the college football playoff,
09:54or excuse me, in the SEC game over Alabama if they have the same record in the SEC?
09:58Because they're ranked higher?
09:59Tiebreakers.
10:00Correct.
10:02Tiebreakers.
10:03Why do we even play head-to-head anymore?
10:07Tiebreakers in the SEC.
10:08It's crazy.
10:08I know.
10:09I am losing my mind right now on how we're doing this.
10:12But our number two is next.
10:14Don't lose it all the way.
10:15Mayhem is what we want in college football.
10:18Mayhem is what we should get in college football.
10:21Down to the right side, Joe Ranieri on a Wednesday before Turkey Day
10:24and a big weekend of college football.
10:26And a lot to deal in the final week of the regular season in college football,
10:29which starts at Darryl K. Royal Field.
10:32That's down in Austin, Texas.
10:34That's A&M is coming to town unbeaten on the season
10:36and still a favorite over Texas at minus two and a half and a total of 51 and a half.
10:42Can we see an upset which would shake up the SEC here, Joe?
10:47Listen, anything is possible, right?
10:49I mean, especially here in the SEC with these two teams, this game being in Texas,
10:55I think is going to be a lot of fun.
10:58I don't – you know, we talked about it earlier, Donnie.
11:00I don't anticipate a three popping up at any time.
11:05I think two and a half, what you see is what you're going to get.
11:08I think it's just a matter of do you believe that A&M is good enough to run the table in the SEC,
11:15go undefeated, play for an SEC championship, and get it going.
11:20I mean, Mike Galco has done an amazing job.
11:22And what happens to Sark if it doesn't work out in this game?
11:27This is – I mean, this is a big game for a lot of different narratives here with Arch Manning.
11:32What's the future of Sark?
11:34You know, let's not forget, Lane Kiffin has got to make a decision on – great, that's all.
11:40But there's still – he can only coach at one school.
11:43I mean, there's a ton of openings still available in the market.
11:47So, I think this game, a lot of dominoes can fall in this game if Texas doesn't win it.
11:53Ultimately, I give them a puncher's chance.
11:56I think the home dog – and, boy, you can rewrite the entire season
12:00if Arch shows up and shows out in this game for Texas.
12:04Ohio State and Michigan.
12:06By the way, Michigan wins this football game.
12:08Michigan will be in the college football playoff.
12:10That's just the way it should go down.
12:11Ohio State is a double-digit favorite on the road.
12:14Cold temperature is expected here.
12:15If you're going to bet this game, you say, well, I think Ohio State –
12:18or this game goes over 44-and-a-half, just take the Ohio State team total
12:21because they're going to carry the weight here.
12:23But I look at that 44-and-a-half and see two football teams that want to slug it out.
12:27And as you pointed out before, some banged-up wideouts here for Ohio State.
12:31I don't see Michigan scoring a ton because Ohio State's defense is really good.
12:35Ohio State is not looking to blow Michigan out.
12:37They just want to win after the past couple years.
12:41Yeah, and they do.
12:42But also, again, this game will go great for Michigan, right, if they win it again,
12:48which, I mean, what have they won?
12:50Five straight in the series, which is kind of crazy here.
12:53They're all going for their fifth one in the series, which they haven't done since the 1920s.
12:58But they lose this game, Donnie.
13:00They lost this game last year, won a national championship, Ohio State.
13:03They're already in the postseason.
13:07Doesn't make a difference what happens in this game, right?
13:09So it's very tough.
13:13The conditions, I think Ohio State is the class.
13:16I think they want to win this game and get this off their head.
13:19But ultimately, you know, Ryan Day for a while has been playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers.
13:27He set the schedule up perfectly for this season.
13:30He's been kind of slow playing a lot of these games with a lot of these teams.
13:34Maybe now is the time that Ohio State kicks it into another gear and absolutely blows the doors off of Michigan in this one.
13:43Iron Bowl action down south, the battle of the state of Alabama.
13:47It's Alabama versus Auburn.
13:48Alabama is going to travel to Auburn on the Plains.
13:50That line opened up as a look ahead, Joe, around six and a half.
13:53We're now seeing five and a half since six is in the marketplace.
13:55Lower total as well, 46 and a half.
13:58Up from 43 and a half is the look ahead.
14:00Who wins the Iron Bowl here, Joe?
14:03Well, I mean, listen, Alabama should win this game, right?
14:06I'm kind of shocked they're not a bigger favorite.
14:09But I think that tells you that five, five and a half line.
14:13I think that tells you even the market's like, listen, it's the Iron Bowl, people.
14:17Anything can happen.
14:18It's the one rivalry series over the years, Donnie, that has absolutely killed me from a betting perspective here.
14:26I can never get this game right between these two teams because something always crazy happens.
14:32It is the national championship for Auburn.
14:35Make no mistake about it.
14:37Alabama, do we believe in Kalen Boer?
14:39Do we believe that he can get this done and then have a shot at going to play for an SEC championship, even though he's got two losses on the season?
14:48Anything is possible here.
14:49Aye, Vanderbilt and Tennessee.
14:53The Battle of Tennessee usually used to just be a blowout here.
14:55Tennessee rolling over Vandy.
14:57Tennessee a slight favorite on Rocky Top, minus two and a half.
15:00But we look at that total, 65 and a half.
15:04Does Pavio pull off one more upset here in his storied career as a 36-year-old quarterback?
15:10Well, think about it here, right?
15:12If he pulls off this upset and has himself another monster game, listen, I doubt very much there's a scenario unless total chaos erupts in which Vandy gets into the postseason.
15:22But he might secure himself a Heisman Trophy with a big performance in this game against Tennessee on the road.
15:30If he does that, Donnie, then he very well could be your Heisman Trophy winner.
15:36Georgia Tech.
15:37I'm saying, is this game played in Atlanta?
15:39Is it at Mercedes-Benz?
15:40Is that where this game is at?
15:41That's, I believe so.
15:44Yes.
15:44I believe that game is in Atlanta.
15:46So you would give up your home field advantage, at least playing in your home stadium, to play in the Georgia Dome, which is going to be invaded by all Georgia fans at this point, not Georgia Tech.
15:55That's a two-touchdown favorite for Georgia.
15:58I was hoping that we might get an interesting scenario here.
16:01Like, Georgia Tech would have won last week against Pitt, making this game meaningless because they just want to get ready for the ACC championship game, win that, and get into the college football playoff, how that would play out.
16:10Now Georgia Tech is like, well, we got to play hard.
16:12And Georgia's like, we got to win this game to get in the SEC championship game.
16:15I think Georgia might smoke Georgia Tech this weekend.
16:19Neutral site.
16:19Get out of here.
16:21Well, yeah, that was, you think maybe they were looking a little bit ahead last week, Georgia Tech, to this game.
16:27And while I hope, I mean, you've kind of, you've blown it.
16:30So I'm hoping that you, it was worth it here because the ACC seems to be out of reach now for you.
16:39And by the way, if I'm not mistaken, $10 million is what Georgia Tech is being paid to avoid that, to miss the home game aspect, to go to Atlanta to play this game.
16:51So, and now I'm sure they'll cash that check, no problem here, but ultimately, can they be competitive?
16:58This is the final hurrah for Haynes King here.
17:01I think it's going to be a fun one to watch, but ultimately, Georgia pulls away in the second half.
17:05Let's get to one more here, Oregon and Washington, which is an interesting one.
17:08Washington is at home getting about a touchdown from Oregon, a massive game for Oregon.
17:12They can't afford to slip up here, Joe.
17:15No, they can't.
17:16They need to keep winning.
17:17And I, and I believe they will in this spot here, Washington has been all over the place.
17:23But I think Oregon will be focused, ready to go.
17:26And possibly, depending on what happens in Ohio State, Michigan could be playing for a Big Ten championship.
17:32Cal, she, let's play in some different marketplaces.
17:35You're getting a new sandbox.
17:36People, it's a lot of fun.
17:37Join the fun.
17:38Taking a look here and also at the Heisman Trophy finalists here.
17:42I'm just trying to bring up here.
17:44I'm looking through the Notre Dame schedule here, Joe.
17:46So, let me just go through.
17:47We're going to go to the games that they played here.
17:50All right.
17:50So, you got Miami, A&M, Purdue, Arkansas, Boise State, NC State.
17:53Sit down here.
17:54Why are you doing this here?
17:55Let's see if he can have a big game this weekend against the Stanford Cardinal.
17:59Why?
18:00He's actually listed second here in the Kelsey marketplace to win the Heisman Trophy.
18:04Understand this.
18:06They're going to beat up on Stanford.
18:07Maybe it's your goal again for Marcus Freeman to say, you know what, kid?
18:10You're going to have some time off between the playoff here if we get in.
18:13And let's go out there and get you four touchdowns here to see if we can get that Heisman Trophy.
18:17But on the flip side, Fernando Mendoza, he's playing in freezing cold temperatures as a four-touchdown favorite against Purdue.
18:25You know Signetti.
18:26He understands the stakes.
18:28He'd love nothing more than get a Heisman Trophy winning quarterback, Joe.
18:31So, I think if you're betting, again, we talk about the extracurriculars and what we think is going to happen, both of these guys are going to be pressing it down.
18:40And those coaches are going to be helping them.
18:42Multi-touchdown game for love.
18:44And Fernando Mendoza, he might not even hand the football off in this game, Joe.
18:49This is, yes, exactly it.
18:52Again, the coach-quarterback combination, knowing full well what's going on here.
18:57Yes, I could see that.
18:58Purdue's been a little feisty at home and defensively.
19:02So, you know, if this game was, I believe, is this game in Indiana or is this game at Purdue?
19:09It's at Purdue.
19:10I believe it's in Purdue.
19:11Yeah.
19:12Yeah.
19:13You know, the road has not been as kind as playing in Indiana has.
19:18So, it'll be interesting to see what kind of performance we get from him.
19:21But he can lock it up, I think, with a huge, a huge performance here.
19:26Yeah.
19:27And also, like, Jeremiah Love, really, he didn't come out of nowhere.
19:30He's been one of the best college backs all season long.
19:32But he has, you know, eight carries, buck 70, and three scores.
19:35Like, that puts you back into the race.
19:36But also a guy, Julian Sayan, is at that 19% point.
19:40Sometimes I still think it comes down to that Big Ten championship game, Joe.
19:44But it might not.
19:45Like, Mendoza handles his business with three touchdown passes and Sayan is a tough defense to go up against.
19:50Maybe he just needs an average performance, probably, in a loss to Ohio State, Joe, and still gets the Heisman.
19:56Yeah.
19:56And that is also very possible here.
19:59It's expecting a big effort regardless.
