00:00But we'll take a look at the updated national championship odds
00:03entering conference championship Saturday.
00:06You see it right there.
00:07Georgia at 8-1, Texas A&M at 12-1, Bama 14-1,
00:13and the Ole Miss Rebels minus Lane Giffen sit at 27-1.
00:18Thoughts about the conference as a whole
00:20and what transpired last Saturday afternoon?
00:24Well, I think Georgia has got themselves in a position
00:27to be the most favorable team in the conference.
00:30Alabama, with that great win in their conference rivalry,
00:35put themselves back in the hunt.
00:37And, again, until we know whether they win or lose
00:39this conference championship game,
00:41they can either be in the playoffs or be sitting outside looking in.
00:45So it's already – they've got a big conference championship game for Alabama
00:49because at 10-3 do they even get to the conference,
00:53the college football playoffs.
00:54So, again, we've got a bunch of SEC teams,
00:58maybe more SEC teams than anybody else.
01:00I think they're going to be in the college football playoffs.
01:04But there are still some people on the bubble, Alabama, Texas,
01:08you know, Oklahoma, those type of teams are still on the bubble.
01:13And then Ole Miss, because of the coaching shame,
01:16could they be on the bubble?
01:17We don't know that.
01:18No, we don't.
01:20Now, we think that, obviously, an 11-1 football team with or without Lane Kiffin,
01:26their new head coach on an interim basis, defensive coordinator Pete Golden,
01:31was announced in Knoxford this past weekend.
01:33And, obviously, Charlie Weiss now, news came out,
01:37will be able to coach.
01:38The offensive coordinator now of the LSU Tigers for 2026,
01:44will be able to coach for Ole Miss in a college football playoff matchup
01:48that came out of LSU and Lane Kiffin today.
01:51So, 27-1, do you buy in to Ole Miss?
01:56Obviously, you know, we have to see how the committee puts them and ranks them,
02:00but they're most likely in the playoff.
02:03How much does the hiring of Lane Kiffin to LSU hurt this team
02:08in a playoff type of situation?
02:10Well, I think it hurts some.
02:12I think, obviously, he was the head coach.
02:15He was the leader of their football program, and he's walked away and left.
02:19So, that's going to have some kind of factor.
02:21I mean, the fact that Charlie Weiss, and let's make this clear.
02:25Lane Kiffin doesn't call the plays.
02:26Charlie Weiss calls the plays.
02:28Lane Kiffin looks at the game plan sheet in front of his face
02:31and every now and then makes a suggestion.
02:34But Charlie Weiss calls the plays, and so that's important.
02:37But I do think that was Lane Kiffin throwing some crumbs to Ole Miss.
02:42I'll go recruit for LSU.
02:44I'll let you have my play caller for a game or two so he might help you.
02:50But Charlie Weiss being there is important to helping them
02:53because with him calling plays and their defensive coordinator still there,
02:57they still have a chance to play very, very well.
02:59So, I'll let you know.
