03:25a five and a half point favorite now seeing six and a half and mostly sevens in the marketplace as a
03:30favorite towards texas the total of this game up from 46 and a half at that lookout number at 48 and
03:35a half in the marketplace but understand this michigan has a lot of transition going on right
03:39now sarkeesian and texas arch manning coming back next year this texas deserve to be a favorite of
03:44around seven what's your spread line here joe well they were four and a half five at the look at and
03:49now of course there's seven because we have absolute total dysfunction with the michigan wolverines

04:48and then nine o'clock tonight with the nightcap being usc and tcu game number one coastal carolina and
04:54louisiana tech the radiance technologies independence bowl which has the louisiana
05:00tech squad a 10 and a half point favorite today and a total of 49 and a half up a little bit on
05:06the opening numbers around that seven and a half eight and a half range now up to 10 and a half in
05:10double digits la tech coastal any opportunities here joe for some scores well you need to know who
05:17the coastal carolina quarterback is going to be here donny because don't forget this coastal carolina
05:22team was so bad to start the season right up until they threw this kid samari collier uh under center
05:29and at that point yeah they became actually pretty good here so uh there is still question marks on
05:35whether he's going to be available or not uh if he is i think this game is going to be a little bit
05:41closer if he's not it could very well be a situation in which louisiana tech runs away with
05:47it so keep an eye on who the starting quarterback for coastal is going to be by the way you know
05:52what joe bowl season and i know that the nfl does a lot of things that gamblers need to know because

06:32long they're going to play but these are the expectations can we at least get that i i agree with you

06:57nobody had any idea who was actually playing in that game yesterday that they ended up getting wiped

07:33where you don't know who the quarterback is who's going to play but does it it's a bowl game like
07:38announcing that you're going to play a guy who doesn't really play to get some playing time but
07:42you don't want to give the other team a competitive advantage by knowing the guy's going to play
07:45stop it just play the game tennessee's a slight favorite here joe yeah they're a slight favorite they
07:51they certainly have uh they're going to be missing on offense uh chris brazell who was
07:57is going to the nfl draft and he will be a top 10 uh pick the kid was he's an absolute beast uh but
08:04he won't be available to them in this game here but josh heiple known for his offense right known for
08:10having enough guys to back him up sec team the thing with illinois is they're very they're an older
08:17team a lot of upperclassmen luke altmeyer is only going to be missing one offensive lineman
08:23everybody else from this illinois team is playing in this game so uh tennessee could have their hands

09:40playoff game and i think we know who the starting quarterbacks in miami and ohio state will be
09:45isn't that refreshing we'll take that look at that game and much more tomorrow on the show because

10:26it's a great job to have enough to not choose a team like the new york giants which i didn't know if
10:31that would be the perfect fit but usually coaches when they get the chance to jump to the nfl
10:35it's massive because you don't have to recruit every single day you get to the pros you know who your team
10:40is you get a big paycheck and away you go marcus freeman is going to stay at notre dame and by the
10:44way can't fault him that's a pretty cush job with not a lot of expectations or pressure for me joe
10:49no i mean listen we know the giants had a lot of very you know had a lot of interest in him that name
10:56kept coming up here but you know like every other smart college coach at a established program did the
11:04minute these jobs become available they use it as leverage for a new contract and that's
11:09exactly what he did so kudos to him i wouldn't leave that job anytime soon you already got the
11:16committee in your back pocket so you don't have to join anything and you're from moving forward
11:21you're always gonna be in the college football playoff so why leave exactly you hit the nail
11:27on the head it is it could be like you usually say like okay alabama's a great job because you had a
11:31chance to win championships or if you can resuscitate miami or florida it's a great job to have
11:35notre dame's the perfect job easy schedule every year with low expectations and if you just win at
11:41a decent clip here and now you have the advantage on your side that no other team in the country has
11:46that you will basically automatically voted in if you have a 500 record it feels like to the college
11:51football playoff absolute no-brainer to stay there eventually joe he will be an nfl coach but to stay
11:56at notre dame is the right move and you're right about this you just have to i don't know where the
12:00leverage comes from where if your college football coach in a single job opens up at division two
12:04somewhere that everybody in the country automatically gets a brand new contract so they don't go to the
12:09division two team that's just the way it feels right now but marcus freeman staying no surprise
12:13here this is a feud that's kind of interesting here which deals with notre dame notre dame and
12:17usc not going to play lincoln riley says it's notre dame's fault notre dame says it's their fault here and
12:22away we go does anybody actually care if notre dame and notre excuse me usc do play because they're
12:28angry at each other joe in the press at least yeah i mean lincoln riley taking shots left and
12:34right at them but again i mean if you're if you're notre dame and you already know that the
12:40understanding is i i just win your games why schedule a re-up on a usc team that could very
12:49well beat you every year might as well just schedule you know uh marist or something along those lines
12:55instead write a check and get a win strength of schedule does not matter anymore quite frankly if
13:01you are notre dame don't play anybody hard like you can probably play and say you know what that
13:06that agreement they have with the acc let's play six games whatever it is do that with the mac and
13:11then do it with like the mountain west and there's your schedule right there you run undefeated every
13:14single year and you're in the college football playoff that's the new wave of things of how to get
13:18it done and hey don't hate the player hate the game if notre dame's like hey usc's pretty good
13:22and they're looking back on the uptrend let's get out of that notre dame did that back in the 1980s
13:26and early 1990s we just don't think this miami series is healthy why because they were beating
13:30your brains in finally after you slugging them all throughout the 60s and 70s fun stuff you're the
13:35way it certainly plays out but we do have major college football on the horizon miami ohio state
13:417 30 p.m eastern on new year's eve and a nine and a half point favorite here towards ohio state
13:46and a 41 and a half total seems pretty low down in jerry world i can't wait for these games to
13:51start and we're close joe roughly 24 hours away or so love it yeah okay and this is uh again this
13:58this matchup to kick it off the the playoffs is going to be absolutely tremendous because it's going
14:04to be strength on straight you got two you know you got two very good offenses you've got you know
14:11wide receivers on both sides that are going to be playing in the nfl uh you've got a more
14:16experienced quarterback on miami both defenses have been you know they're top five in the country
14:22here so yeah i just i'm i'm having a hard time getting over the nine and a half donnie i really
14:29am and the idea that and the reason the only reason i keep hearing people bring up that you can't pick
14:35miami you got to lay it with ohio state is because of mario cristobal listen mario cristobal is not playing
14:41in this game and this is a very experienced miami team so you know sometimes you got to put all of
14:48that crazy nobody thought he was going to win in pittsburgh nobody thought he was going to go on
14:52the road and beat elko in a&m but guess what so the whole mario cristobal thing throw it out on the
15:00field is ohio state really 10 points better than the university of miami you have to ask three games
15:07we're going to have on new year's day which is usually bowl day like you get a ton of bowl games
15:11here but i do like the fact that they sort of pave the way for us 12 o'clock four o'clock and eight
15:15o'clock oregon's going to take on texas tech alabama indiana old miss and georgia when i look at those
15:20lines joe where the ticket count is it honestly looks like the sharpest play on the board just might
15:25be indiana roughly 25 of the ticket count opening line six and a half joe now we're seeing seven and
15:31a half and seven in the marketplace for the rose bowl here i think that game's fascinating but
15:35all four of these games should be fun to watch the big boys here they deserve to be there and
15:40they're lining up but that alabama indiana game kind of interesting to me i don't understand the
15:46lie uh donnie let's let's i mean if we think about it the market had alabama a point and a half getting
15:54a point and a half against georgia on a neutral site yeah now you're telling me a neutral you're
16:00telling me that indiana is what six points better than georgia is on a neutral site i do not
16:07understand this line whatsoever we're getting to the point where indiana is becoming that big time
16:15trendy play for just about everybody in the public should be interesting to see this thing play out as
16:21it goes forward because that is a great game i guess i am gonna yell and scream at the eight o'clock
16:25start for old miss and georgia but it is what it is six and a half point line there two sec teams
16:30going at it but i think like i'm a miami fan so of course i'm going to be invested in miami versus
16:34ohio state but the most intriguing game forget about the lines and the two teams going up against
16:39each other joe that's oregon and that's texas tech like i am so intrigued by that football game how it
16:45turns out i wouldn't be surprised if either team won or either team actually ran away with a double
16:49digit victory listen this is and the reason that this line is where it's at is because the market
16:57knows too this is going to be a slugfest and there is no real clear advantage i think for either of
17:03these teams texas tech has been the underdog all year nobody's talked about them we've all talked
17:09about oregon or put up or shut up time this is going to be a lot of fun to watch i love great games
17:16on new year's day fantastic we absolutely love that but we gotta get
17:20rams messed around yesterday with joe's wage of the mind he took care of business was a team we
17:26went one and one which is okay you hold standard there you're right at water level today it's time

17:38because i'm gonna go today uh there's not as many nba games but i'm intrigued with one of these

17:58half and even threes are beginning to pop up here i would take the three and a half as soon as you can

18:16backs will have everybody intact and unfortunately for tennessee they won't there's been a lot of
18:21defection not just on the offensive side including their number one wide receiver uh but also on the
18:28defensive side feels like points are coming in this game but it also feels like i'd much it feels like a
18:34field goal game and the temperature 30 degrees that's right up illinois's alley i'll take the
18:40three and a half here in this one
