00:10seeing eight and a halves across the board as the live number and a total of 59 and a half

00:21johnny i dare anybody to tell me who's playing in this game because i have no idea who's playing
00:28in this game listen app state shouldn't even be here they were a five and seven team but they
00:35didn't have enough teams in order that actually won six games that wanted to go to a bowl game
00:41so app state was like eighth on the list of teams that they asked under six wins and the problem is
00:48most of those kids none of them thought they were going to a bowl game so most all of them already
00:52transferred or put in to transfer aren't even on campus we don't know who the quarterback
00:58is going to be because both already opted to transfer out there is absolutely no list there
01:04they haven't published the depth chart for app state donnie as of 12 hours ago so i don't know
01:11who the hell's even on this team that's going to be playing so the fact that the books got a number
01:15for this game kudos to them i you know call me crazy i'll take the team that thought they were
01:22going to be there in georgia southern as opposed to the team here in app state that nobody knows who's
01:26playing well you don't like the j lab birmingham ball again like a ball season if we're going to
01:32make this like you have to send these kids to the islands let them play on an aircraft carrier put
01:36them in the middle of the desert somewhere like just to make at least fun or how about in siberia
01:40for a football game where it's just ice cold conditions here then we'll maybe tune in and have
01:44some fun with these games how about on the 30th joe which is tomorrow that is a tuesday there's
01:48actually three games tomorrow 2 p.m 5 30 and nine o'clock tennessee and illinois big time

02:40playing in this one so you know josh heupel the good thing about a tennessee team in the sec is you
02:47know josh heupel has a group of players that were behind them that are going to be competitive
02:52we just saw this with lsu right i mean listen it is the sec they still have a lot of quality
02:57players that are going to be auditioning for jobs next year so illinois doesn't exactly go unscathed
03:04they too are going to have a few starters on both sides of the ball not available but the market
03:08believes that yeah uh the opt-outs for tennessee way more valuable than anything illinois is bringing
03:15to the table i don't see how you can look at anything but the over in this game i mean we've seen
03:19these two teams be able to put up some points and the defense is not be as good so to me i think the
03:26only way to look as expect tennessee and a josh heupel team as well as illinois to put some points
03:31on the board in this game remember the alamo joe that's where you get it tomorrow at 9 p.m eastern
03:37for the alamo bullets usc versus tcu the look ahead line was six and a half you know where that line
03:42sits today still six and a half as a favorite towards usc a total though which opened up around 60 and a
03:48half joe that's dropped to 55 and a half usc tcu home state advantage for the horn frogs at the
03:54alamo what gives in this game and what's your spread line well absolutely but this is interesting
03:59because this is one of those games donnie that we saw six and a half at the open we're still six and
04:04a half yeah and it's ironic because tcu won't have its stud quarterback josh hoover he already entered
04:11the transfer portal he is one of the many opt-outs and transfers that are going to be missing
04:16this game actually from both sides you know that from usc as well but sonny dykes has been here has
04:23done this before you know this is the little brother versus big brother right tcu trying to prove a point

05:06coming up joe ranieri it's called the college football playoff masquerading as a ball now i get
05:11upset with this because to me bowl season should be bowl season insignificant nobody cares you want
05:16to have the peach ball have it you have the sugar ball have it you have the rose ball put the rose
05:20ball central michigan taking on app state for all i care i do find it funny where you are actually one
05:26of the best four teams in the country you just watch round number one played on the home teams
05:30home fields and said you know what they're making bank at home their fans are getting involved it's a
05:35great atmosphere let's make our fans pay for a 50 50 scenario and a bowl game that doesn't give us
05:40any advantages but here we are but on bowl season here sometimes these coaches say you know what i
05:46think we're taking it serious here how about brent kelly was a brent kelly who's that brent key at this
05:50point right now right not being important yeah brent key talk to me i really don't understand i think
05:57the narrative that's been created the last couple years about these games aren't important i mean
06:02who's to say a football game's not important there's 365 days in a year that we live breathe
06:09work for 12 guaranteed opportunities there's another sport like that and then to have another
06:17opportunity to compete i just don't get that i don't understand people saying the the the value of
06:23a bowl game it's a game ah come on now it is a game it's a meaningless game but also coaches have a
06:30different opinion on this because why somehow some way their agents are like hey man you in the
06:36pop-tarts bowl that's an extra 150 grand in your pocket yeah it means something to the coaches
06:40absolutely joe well i i mean listen what he's saying theoretically is is correct i mean it's the one
06:47sport that you know you're not playing 162 game schedule you're not playing a pickup game uh you know
06:55in march someplace uh with pat like you only have a limited amount of games in you so from that
07:02perspective not all of these kids are moving on to play in the nfl or any other league for that matter
07:07so yeah from that perspective if you're not the ohio states of the world uh yeah it it should mean
07:14something to them but don't expect the public to jump on that bandwagon by the way this stupid
07:20college football is has the stupidest past of any sport in history where they were voting on who the
07:24national championship was going to be which is an asinine to think about but whoever thought the
07:29structure was right joe and when i talk about back in i'm talking about like let's just go 1980s
07:33hey our final regular season game joe november the 3rd oh we played the national championship game on
07:38january 7th what like you took two months off in your sport to play a national championship game
07:44yeah that's college football so anybody at any time can poke holes in the theory of yeah we have
07:50meaningful and meaningless bowl games it's stupid to begin with here but it's not stupid when we talk
07:55about the college football play which i'm going to enjoy joe 7 30 p.m on new year's eve you take a look

08:27very much alive and well could actually run the table uh and win a national championship and i agree
08:34with it i think it's going to be a fascinating matchup here certainly from the defensive side donnie
08:40but again i got almost a double digit favorite in one of the lowest totals for two blue blood teams
08:46that you can see here i mean ohio state just 42 you know they're not playing arkansas state like
08:54they're playing the university of miami with you know a 30 year old quarterback and one of the best
08:59wide receivers in uh in the country so i think it's going to be fascinating here if you like miami
09:06this game's probably going over at some point joe help me out in the dallas uh fort worth with the
09:12metroplex down there there is a stadium that they play a football game every year it's called the
09:17cotton bowl they used to play the cotton bowl in the cotton bowl now the cotton bowls played at
09:22at&t stadium why we don't like tradition in college football what happened well yeah well the cotton
09:28bowls uh is clear i mean listen oh you and texas play there every year right the red river rivalry
09:33the shootout uh that is uh that has always been the low cap but no no not as many seats as in and
09:40not as many boxes as they're going to be the suites is where the money is here done by the way i used
09:47to watch the cotton bowl a lot miami hurricanes i remember absolutely plastered texas when they should
09:52have actually been playing for a national championship that season in the cotton bowl do you remember the
09:56initial sponsor of the cotton bowl joe do you know who that was oh who was the original sponsor
10:02think like gas oil company was it shell i mean who how far are we going back here

10:16bowl game here we can't we used to have some good things back in the day at that point where
10:19now you can't have the oil company sort of get in there let's move on here joe to new year's day
10:24by the way new year's day used to be clogged with a lot of bowl games and back in the day they were
10:28meaningful there's no longer that clog of bowl games they did pave the way for every team to
10:33play on that day a playoff game oregon texas tech alabama indiana old miss and georgia oregon
10:38and texas tech now we're seeing some line movement joe oregon's up to a two and a half point favorite
10:42now getting some movement yeah uh i think this is going to be a absolute battle some of these games
10:49like this one might be better than anything we get for a national championship matchup but i think uh
10:56oregon and uh texas there's a battle wills here i wouldn't want to sweat out an under in that game
11:01i'll tell you that right now donnie no way am i sweating out an under there how about alabama and
11:07indiana that's the four o'clock game that is the rose bowl did you know indiana joe and again about
11:1120 of the tickets right now still favored by six and a half with that line not moving much people look
11:17at that name alabama and said i just can't quit them i understand well indiana not getting a lot of
11:22respect and you know who's probably watching that line knowing he's not getting respect that's the
11:26big sig over there man yeah this is going to be listen if indiana is as good as uh we think
11:34then okay they should have no problem dispatching alabama in this spot i do think that one is going
11:42to come down to the final uh who has the ball last uh donnie i think that's how that game is going to end
11:46now let me get upset with things joe you know i like to get upset with timings look so we have
11:51three games on an entire day we start at 12 we go at four but then we go at eight o'clock
11:56why aren't we at 12 like you know 3 30 and 6 30 why can't do you not want ratings for old miss
12:04and georgia because contrary to prior belief like i understand the day and the kids ought to go back
12:09to the fifth put that game on early you have an entire day to play three football games and we're
12:13winding up at eight o'clock at night i'm for the people man i'm not selfish i want everybody to watch
12:18and enjoy these things the way you watch the switch network and the early line we can all watch it
