00:00That starts tonight, Joe, 9 o'clock.
00:02This is coming from out there in Oregon.
00:04Minnesota going to travel to take on Oregon in a Big Ten battle, if you will.
00:08This line opened up, Joe, 21 and a half.
00:10Oof, 25 and a half, even 26 and a half now in the marketplace,
00:15and a total, which I still can't get over.
00:17This is back-to-back weeks.
00:18We have Oregon in the low 40s on a total.
00:21Now, I understand they're down some wide receivers,
00:22and Minnesota isn't the fastest team, Joe,
00:25but what is that spread line tonight for Minnesota and Oregon?
00:27Well, Donnie, it's spot on, right?
00:30You got Minnesota coming off a bye week, no less.
00:34They got an Oregon team that just had a battle on their hands at Iowa
00:39and got it done late there, and you're right, banged up.
00:43Three of their top pass catchers, probably maybe one out of the three
00:47are going to be there, but you notice that line movement like I did.
00:51It has been nothing but Oregon money all week long,
00:55and the reason that low total, Donnie,
00:57has nothing to do with whether Oregon can score points.
01:01The question is whether Minnesota can score any points, Donnie,
01:06because we've already seen Minnesota play two other teams on the road
01:11that don't have maybe quite the talent Oregon does.
01:15They only scored three points against Iowa, Donnie,
01:18and we saw what Ohio State did to them,
01:20and now they're going to go and take on Oregon.
01:22So, yes, the market is not buying letdown or anything along those lines.
01:28They are buying an Oregon blowout, and so am I.
01:33Two touchdown favorite last week, Joe, was Indiana at Penn State.
01:36They scraped by an unbelievable catch in the back of the end zone
01:39to save a win for Indiana.
01:42Now they come home and take on Wisconsin.
01:43Let's double that line and more, Joe.
01:46It's not 14.5.
01:47It's 29.5, as it sits currently right now, and a low total of 43.5.
01:52We know Wisconsin can't score that much.
01:54Indiana can.
01:55Indiana, after a scare last week,
01:57are they going to be on their P's and Q's this week with a dominant effort?
02:00Your spread line is what for this game with Indiana and Wisconsin?
02:04Well, that's another one of these, right?
02:06You know, up now 29.5, it was 30.5, but 29.5, Donnie, and a total of 44.5.
02:13Very reminiscent of what we just had here with the Minnesota at Oregon game.
02:19But I think they're very similar.
02:20Why?
02:21Because much like Minnesota, how is Wisconsin scoring any points here?
02:25Offensively, they're terrible.
02:27Now, they are halfway decent defensively,
02:30but we already know what happens here with Signetti.
02:34I mean, they were lucky to get by,
02:36and all they heard all week was how lucky they were
02:39to get by on the road against Penn State.
02:42Well, now they're home, Donnie,
02:44and they're taking on a team that is not going to be able to match them
02:47offensively.
02:48This is another one that's got blowout written all over it.
02:52Penn State and Michigan State.
02:54East Lansing takes center stage.
02:56I don't know for what here.
02:57You got one team that's getting penalized here on probation.
03:00You got Penn State who's looking for their first Big Ten win,
03:03as we sit mid-November.
03:05Oh, my goodness, what a season here.
03:07But Penn State traveling in as the favorite, Joe,
03:09as many as a touchdown to just over a touchdown at minus 7.5,
03:12and a total at 49.5.
03:14The Battle of the States on Saturday, 3.30 Eastern.
03:18What's the spread line here?
03:20Well, what you're seeing here, Donnie,
03:22is this was 7.5 here,
03:24and now we're starting to see a lot more Michigan State money hit the board,
03:28and it makes sense here.
03:29I mean, give Penn State credit, right?
03:32Not been the season for them.
03:33They lose Drew Aller.
03:35They fire their head coach in Franklin,
03:37and they laid it all out of line.
03:40Iowa, Ohio State, Indiana last week.
03:44What does this team have left in the tank here?
03:47Because they're still winless in Big Ten play,
03:50and they've lost six straight games here,
03:52and now we're supposed to believe that they're going to get up to go to
03:55Michigan State, and somehow, Donnie, put together this amazing effort,
04:00and while the Spartans here, we've talked about it,
04:03vacated 14 wins over the last couple of years.
04:07I just don't see what Penn State is going to bring to the table here.
04:11I agree with the market move.
04:13Hurry up and get the touchdown while you can,
04:15because I think this lands under a touchdown, Donnie,
04:18by the time this game goes to kick.
04:19I am thoroughly enjoying this college football season here.
04:22It is a football Friday.
04:23It's Donnie Wright's side.
04:24It's Joe Ranieri.
04:25Now we bring in our coach, Terry Bowden, here,
04:27because the games are starting to say, you know what,
04:30the playoffs will eliminate you when you lose,
04:32but teams are going to be getting eliminated before we even get to the
04:35playoffs.
04:35Coach, I love this stuff.
04:36Welcome in.
04:37Welcome in.
04:38Thank you, man.
04:38I appreciate it, and it will be a weekend of elimination or contenders
04:44to see who's going to get it this week.
04:46A lot of the big games will determine that.
04:48Not just that, Bo, but who will be in the buy round?
04:52Who will get the home game?
04:53All these games come in to be big factors and things that are going to help
04:58you in postseason play.
04:59No stranger to the SEC.
05:01That's Coach Terry Bowden, an undefeated SEC team in the early 1990s.
05:05This is why we love to have Coach on the show here,
05:07because Oklahoma is going to take on Alabama,
05:09a monster game in the SEC, and for the national championship picture.
05:13This line opened up earlier in the week, Coach,
05:15over a touchdown favorite for Alabama.
05:17Now we're seeing the five and a halfs and the sixes in the marketplaces here.
05:20Oklahoma, great defense.
05:21Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
05:23Coach, what do we see here?
05:25Well, you know what?
05:25Alabama at home, they've got the longest FBS home winning streak going on.
05:31They remember Oklahoma took it to them last year, 24-3, but that was then.
05:36This is now two different teams.
05:38It's a one-dimensional Alabama offense against a strong defense in Oklahoma.
05:43But I think Ty Simpson, if he throws no turnovers, and he's 26 touchdowns,
05:48only one interception for the year, he will be enough with their offensive passing attack
05:53to be more than what Oklahoma can score with their offense.
05:57So one touchdown difference, I like Alabama.
06:02Coach, we were just talking about it.
06:05Huge game there at Texas taking on Georgia.
06:07But, you know, Texas sitting there with two losses still has A&M on the schedule.
06:13Even, I don't think this is do or die, because I still think they can write their own ticket
06:17winning one out of these next two here.
06:20But do you give them a shot here against Georgia?
06:23Yeah, but I don't think they'll win.
06:25But I do give them a shot, because they are talented enough.
06:27When you go down to the postseason play, they're one of those teams with enough talent on their roster.
06:33But they, right now, still don't play well on the road.
06:36They don't play as well in the big games, and they don't run it well enough.
06:40I take Kirby Smart at home.
06:42It's still a very tough place to play.
06:44Kirby Smart at home in Athens against Texas.
06:48And the way he takes a game and makes it better, makes adjustments in the second half,
06:53I've got to like Georgia.
06:54But I agree with you.
06:56Texas loses this game, beats Texas A&M.
06:58They're probably the only 9-3 team that can make it to the college football playoff.
07:04Incredible, Coach.
07:05And again, dating back to the 1990s, you lose one game, you're not going to have a chance
07:09to play for a championship.
07:10Now we're in the precipice of you might be able to lose three games and still be eligible
07:13to win a national championship, even despite not even playing in your conference championship
07:17game.
07:18We've come a long way, Coach.
07:19The SEC again, 7 o'clock, Ole Miss, fresh off of pounding the Citadel.
07:23They get back to SEC play to take on a talented Florida team.
07:27They're favored by double digits here.
07:29Lane Kiffin also, sometimes, Coach, you see the horizon.
07:32They're getting close to the playoff here, but you still got to tie up those loose ends
07:35and beat teams like the Florida Gators.
07:38Before that, I want to say my dad's probably rolling over in his grave after hearing you
07:42say that.
07:42How many times he lost one game to Miami and never got to play for a championship.
07:48But Ole Miss, they're looking forward to this game.
07:50And I'm going to say this, against Florida, now remember, they got knocked out of the playoffs
07:54last year, losing to Florida.
07:56And Lane Kiffin forgets nothing.
07:59And his name is being mentioned in Florida, whether he wants it or not.
08:03He wants them to think about, hey, y'all might have me down there if you're lucky.
08:07You know, so I think that goes into the fact.
08:09The fact is, after getting drubbed by Kentucky, Florida has passed that point where they're
08:15playing with any luster.
08:16They're even talking about benching Lagwe, their quarterback, who was the answer to their
08:20future.
08:21So I think it's no longer any chances for Florida right now.
08:25It's all Ole Miss.
08:26The 11 and a half, they'll cover.
08:28And I'm going with Ole Miss.
08:31Very tricky game coming up for Notre Dame, coach.
08:35Heading over to Pat Narduzzi and Pitt.
08:38And this is their national championship game for Pitt.
08:41We saw Pitt come to Florida State as a double-digit dog.
08:45Didn't work out great for Florida State.
08:47Are we trusting Notre Dame at this number?
08:49The number, you're right.
08:52I don't know that I trust Notre Dame with that number because Pitt is on fire.
08:56The quarterback, Mason Hinchel, the freshman quarterback, has started the last five games.
09:00They've won all five of those games.
09:02They've scored 30 or more points.
09:04He's thrown for over 300 four of those five times.
09:08And he can keep them close to Notre Dame.
09:10I still think Notre Dame could win.
09:12But I'm going to go with Pitt and the points.
09:14Notre Dame's going to try to run the ball with their two great running backs.
09:17Control the ball.
09:18Keep Hinchel off the field.
09:20The key to this game, watch for turnovers.
09:22Hinchel has thrown five interceptions in the last five games.
09:26If he does not turn the ball over, I'm sticking with Notre Dame right now.
09:30I mean, I'm sorry.
09:30I'm going with Pitt with the points in this football game.
09:35Coach, last week we saw an Indiana team high and muddy go into Penn State as two touchdown favorites.
09:39Penn State game a good punch in the fourth quarter.
09:41But you had that determination to still hang in there and win the football game.
09:45Now we see Indiana taking on Wisconsin this week as close to a 30-point favorite.
09:49Let me ask you as a coach, is that a great teaching moment to say, you know what?
09:52My team maybe didn't play their best but still won in a hostile environment.
09:55Now I can really coach them up this week and say, hey, we can't have any letdowns.
09:59Talk about Indiana this week against Wisconsin.
10:02Well, no, there's no question there.
10:03I think Kurt Cignetti will use that as a motivator because a lot of, of course, today is about, you know, how big can I beat somebody?
10:10How big can I make us look?
10:12And it's a game of how you look nowadays.
10:14I think he's going to pour it on.
10:16Wisconsin has had quarterback problems.
10:18They won last week 13-10.
10:20They can't score points.
10:22And Indiana is just going to pull away, pull away, and pull away.
10:26So I don't care if it's a 29-and-a-half spot.
10:28I'm still going to stay with Indiana because Cignetti, unlike other coaches, if he has a chance to pour it on, he will pour it on.
10:36Mm-hmm.
10:38Yep.
10:39Got to love it here, Coach.
10:40So your wild card here for college football, what is your wild card team here, Coach?
10:48Maybe flying under the radar.
10:51Gosh, you got to catch me off guard right now.
10:53But, I mean, the one I've got next on my mind is Ohio State.
10:57Can they win by 31-5?
11:00I think they'll beat UCLA by 31-5.
11:03UCLA was 0-3.
11:05Then they got a fired coach.
11:06They went three more wins to go 3-3.
11:08And now the luster is gone.
11:10They're 0-3 the last three games.
11:12They're playing badly.
11:14Nico Ayamanava was killed by Ohio State last year in every way possible.
11:19So take Ohio State.
11:21Take the 31 points.
11:22And you're going to be fine.
11:24Chaos down the stretch, Coach.
11:26As we say, it's so much fun to watch these games play out because they are on paper right
11:30now, but they do get played on Saturdays.
11:32And we'll have you throughout the rest of the stretch of the regular season and into the
11:35college football playoffs.
11:36He's our coach.
11:37He's our favorite coach, Terry Bowden.
11:38Thanks once again for joining us on a Football Friday, Coach.
