Three earthquakes last night, Rain all day today, What can we expect tomorrow ? Here’s Rochelle Edwards with the details in our weather forecast.

00:00Let's check in with Rochelle for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Deesha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. Let's get right to your weather.
00:08Let's talk about last night. Some of you felt it and some did not.
00:12But I can guarantee you, you weren't going crazy.
00:16A trio of light earthquakes were recorded northwest of Trinidad.
00:21The first quake at magnitude 4.4 struck at 9.38 p.m.
00:26approximately 127 kilometers west-northwest of Port of Spain.
00:32This quake was widely reported felt across northern, central and western parts of Trinidad.
00:39Mere minutes later at 9.42 p.m., a magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck
00:45in a similar location, 130 kilometers west-northwest of Port of Spain again.
00:51This quake was also widely reported felt across Trinidad.
00:54With shaking lasting approximately 10 to 20 seconds.
00:59And the third earthquake was recorded at 10.01 p.m.
01:04This magnitude 4.0 earthquake was recorded 125 kilometers west of Port of Spain.
01:12This quake was not widely reported felt,
01:14but a few felt reports across northern and northwestern Trinidad.
01:19And here's what happened today.
01:21A broad area of light to moderate rainfall with embedded widely scattered heavy
01:26to intense pockets and isolated thunderstorms occurred between the central and northern range of Trinidad.
01:34An isolated heavy shower also moved into the Toko Peninsula near Kumana.
01:39These cells drifted generally westward.
01:42Over in Tobago, a few brief isolated showers cleared parts of southwest Tobago
01:47with a renewed round of activity occurring late afternoon.
01:51Although the high wind alert has been discontinued,
01:55occasional strong wind gusts, particularly near eastern coastal regions and southern Trinidad, remain likely.
02:02Let's take a look now at conditions in Port of Spain currently.
02:06We have light rain and temperatures at 24 degrees and winds coming from the east at 6 kilometers.
02:13We have humidity at 100%.
02:15And over in Tobago, there's also some light rain with temperatures at 27 degrees,
02:21with winds coming northeast at 11 kilometers per hour and humidity is at 83%.
02:27Now, tonight, I hope you have your comforters or an extra blanket ready
02:33because conditions will get a bit chilly as occasional showers are likely through the night
02:38with settled periods in between.
02:40We have thunderstorm activity coming at a medium rate
02:45with minimum temperatures at 24 degrees in Trinidad and 24 also in Tobago.
02:50And if you're hoping for better conditions tomorrow, you can't forget about it.
02:55According to the Met Office, tomorrow will have variable cloud cover with periods of scattered showers.
03:01There's a medium chance of isolated thunderstorm activity, especially over Trinidad.
03:06Conditions should settle by evening apart from the odd lingering showers.
03:11Tomorrow's maximum temperatures are coming in at 31 degrees in Port Islands.
03:15But we will see an improvement in conditions for the next couple of days.
03:20In our two-day forecast on Friday, expect a mix of sunny and cloudy periods with scattered showers
03:26and a medium chance of thunderstorm activity, especially over western areas,
03:31with minimum temperatures of 32 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago on Friday.
03:37And Saturday will be the same, however, giving us maximum temperatures of 33 degrees in Trinidad
03:44and 32 in Tobago.
03:46And here's when the sun plans to rise and shine and say goodbye.
03:52Sunrise is at 6.03 in Trinidad and 6 o'clock in Tobago
03:56and will set at 5.39 in Trinidad and 5.35 over in Tobago.
04:01With all the rain that occurred today and expected tomorrow, I doubt a beach line is on your mind.
04:08But let's still check in on our seas.
04:10Seas are moderate with waves 1.5 metres to 2 metres in open waters
04:13and below 1 metre or occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.
