00:00Let's check in with Rochelle for more on tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Disha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:06I hope you guys had a great weekend.
00:09It's now time for the rundown on your weather.
00:11We're starting our forecast with conditions in Portisbane currently.
00:15We have a few clouds with temperatures at 28 degrees Celsius.
00:19We have winds coming southeast at 6 kilometers per hour
00:23and humidity is at 78%.
00:25Over in Tobago, there's a bit of a light rain
00:29with temperatures at 28 degrees
00:31and winds coming east at 17 kilometers per hour
00:34and humidity at 74%.
00:37And here's what you can expect tonight.
00:40Partly cloudy intervals associated with light and moderate showers.
00:45There's a medium chance some of these showers
00:47could become heavy and thundery,
00:49especially close to dawn.
00:52Minimum temperatures are coming in at 24 degrees in Trinidad
00:55and 26 in Tobago.
00:57So tomorrow, you might want to ditch the shades
01:01and pick up an umbrella
01:02because those same conditions will continue tomorrow.
01:06According to the Met Office,
01:07we're getting partly cloudy skies becoming cloudy
01:10with isolated lights, moderate showers,
01:13and thunderstorms could develop from late morning.
01:16However, conditions will begin to settle
01:18from late evening into nightfall.
01:21We have maximum temperatures expected to come in at 31 degrees
01:25in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
01:28There's something else you might want to carry with you
01:31and that's your mask.
01:32As there's a mild to moderate concentration of Saharan dust
01:37in the atmosphere,
01:38and that will continue into the rest of the week.
01:42So persons sensitive to these conditions and air quality
01:44are advised to take the necessary precautions.
01:47Taking a sneak peek now into our two-day forecast,
01:51if you guessed more rain ahead,
01:53well, ding, ding, ding, you are correct.
01:55Both Wednesday and Thursday will be fair to partly cloudy at times,
01:59with isolated showers and thunderstorms developing
02:02from late morning to afternoon near western and healy areas.
02:07Note that in the vicinity of heavy showers or thunderstorms,
02:10expect gusty winds and street or flash flooding.
02:13Maximum temperatures are expected to come in at 32 degrees in Trinidad
02:18and 30 degrees in Tobago on Wednesday
02:20and 33 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago on Thursday.
