00:00Thank you, Disha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. I'm Rochelle Edwards. Welcome back.
00:06I know we're all thinking it. The long weekend went by way too fast, but it's Monday and I have your weather forecast for you.
00:13Here's what happened. So according to the Met Office, we are in the third month of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season,
00:21which ends on November 30th. So far, we've had four named storms.
00:26The peak period of the Atlantic hurricane season, which is from mid-August to mid-October, is approaching,
00:33and the Trinidad and Tobago Met Office wishes to remind the public that any tropical cyclone,
00:38that is depression, storm, hurricane, not formed in the area of interest,
00:43has the potential to threaten Trinidad and Tobago and the rest of the Eastern Caribbean.
00:49They are advising that now is a good time to review your emergency plans,
00:54and do not wait until a public warning is issued to get ready.
00:59Now that you have that information, moving on to conditions in Port of Spain presently,
01:03TV6's Weather Center says downtown is mostly clear with temperatures at 32 degrees Celsius.
01:10We also have winds coming southeast at 5 knots.
01:14Humidity is also at 67% in the atmosphere.
01:18Taking a look at tonight, tonight will be mostly fair but hazy with some isolated showers.
01:23Trinidad will have a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius,
01:27and over in Tobago, they will experience 26 degrees.
01:31Now for tomorrow, we're going to have party cloudy to cloudy skies,
01:35that's going to give us a hazy and at times breezy day,
01:39accompanied by a few showers, mainly during morning.
01:43Some of these showers could get heavy and thundery.
01:46Now, Saharan dust is present in the atmosphere,
01:48so persons sensitive to these conditions should take the necessary precautions.
01:54Tomorrow's maximum temperatures are 32 degrees in both Trinidad and Tobago.
01:59Jumping ahead to our two-day forecast,
02:02Wednesday and Thursday will have similar conditions,
02:04with party cloudy skies and a few showers again, mainly in the morning.
02:09There is a medium chance some of these showers could get heavy and thundery.
02:13Maximum temperatures are 32 degrees in Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday,
02:18and 31 degrees also in both islands on Thursday.
02:23For those of you vacationing right here at home and planning a family beach day,
02:27tomorrow sees our moderate with waves up to 1.5 meters in open waters
02:32and below 1 meter in sheltered areas.
02:35Now, let's check in on our sun times.
02:37In Trinidad, sunrises at 5.55 and it will set at 6.28.
02:42Over in Tobago, sunrises at 5.51 and it will set at 6.26.
