00:02Thanks, Leisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:05Let's get right to the details on your weather.
00:07We're starting off with what's happening.
00:10A strong tropical wave being monitored by the Met Office
00:13is expected to reach the Lesser Antilles by Sunday.
00:17Models show that moisture buildup ahead of the wave
00:20will bring cloudiness, showers and thunderstorms
00:23to Trinidad and Tobago and the Woodward Islands from Saturday.
00:27As the wave moves through on Sunday,
00:30the weather will spread north to the southern Newward Islands
00:34with a lingering instability and a medium chance
00:37of isolated thunderstorms on Monday.
00:39Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are possible
00:42in some areas over the weekend,
00:44but I will tell you exactly what to expect
00:46in a bit in our weekend forecast.
00:48As of right now, Trinidad and Tobago
00:50is not under any tropical storm watch or warning,
00:54but the wave's strength has been changing,
00:56so stay updated with the latest forecasts.
00:59Moving on to conditions in Portisbane,
01:01TB6's Weather Center says downtown is mostly clear
01:05with temperatures at 32 degrees.
01:07We have winds coming east-southeast at 6 knots
01:10and humidity at 66%.
01:13Now, let's take a look at what we're getting tonight.
01:16Conditions will be mostly fair
01:18with minimum temperatures coming in at 24 degrees
01:20in Trinidad and 27 in Tobago.
01:23And tomorrow will be mostly fair and hot.
01:27However, these conditions would be interrupted at times
01:30by some light to moderate showers near hilly areas
01:33from late morning or early afternoon.
01:36There is a medium chance some of these showers
01:38could become heavy and or thundery.
01:41Tomorrow's maximum temperatures are coming in
01:43at 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 over in Tobago.
01:47So, remember that tropical wave I mentioned earlier?
01:51Well, in our weekend forecast,
01:53both days are not giving us much sunshine
01:55with conditions on Saturday expected to be partly cloudy
01:58from late morning to afternoon
02:00with isolated showers and thunderstorms
02:03developing over most areas.
02:05Sunday will be the same,
02:07but will give us a bit more rain.
02:09Maximum temperatures are 32 degrees in Trinidad
02:12and 31 in Tobago on Saturday
02:14and 30 degrees in Trinidad
02:16and 29 in Tobago on Sunday.
02:19If the beach is your destination tomorrow,
02:22here's what you can expect.
02:24Seas will be moderate with waves
02:251 meter to 1.5 meters in open waters
02:28and 0.5 meters to 1 meter in sheltered areas.
02:32But if Chancellor or Bamboo Cathedral
02:35is where you're headed very early tomorrow,
