Heavy showers across Trinidad and Tobago caused flooding in some areas, Rochelle Edwards joins us with the details in our weather forecast.

00:00Let's check in now with Rochelle for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Disha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. It's now time for your weather.
00:08We're starting off with what happened today.
00:10Light to moderate rain with isolated heavy showers spread across Trinidad and Tobago
00:16with overall heavier rainfall favouring northern and eastern Trinidad.
00:21A wind gust of 63 kmph was recorded at Crown Point, Tobago during heavy showers.
00:28Street flooding was also observed along multiple parts of the East-West Corridor.
00:34And for the second time in less than a week, due to the inclement weather,
00:38a tree fell on a vehicle on the North Coast Road approximately five minutes after the pillars heading to Maracas Bay.
00:46Power lines have also fallen. Luckily, no one was reported injured.
00:50Now, let's take a look at conditions in Portisbane currently.
00:53We have moderate rain with temperatures at 25 degrees.
00:57and we have winds coming from the East at 13 kmph. Humidity is at 92%.
01:03And over in Tobago, we have some scattered clouds with temperatures at 24 degrees
01:08and winds coming East-Southeast at 9 kmph. Humidity is also at 94%.
01:14And for those of you that sleep like a baby to the sound of rain at night, you're in for a treat.
01:21Expect some party cloudy conditions with occasional light to moderate showers and periods of rain occurring.
01:28There is a medium to high chance of thunderstorm activity.
01:31We have minimum temperatures at 24 degrees in Trinidad and 25 over in Tobago.
01:36And those showers will continue tomorrow. Here's what you can look out for.
01:41Partly cloudy and at times breezy conditions with a few light or moderate showers, likely during the morning period.
01:48There is also a low to medium chance of isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms.
01:53Maximum temperatures are expected at 32 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago.
01:58Heading over to our two-day forecast now, where finally there's some light at the end of the tunnel.
02:04Thursday and Friday will give us sunny and at times breezy daytime conditions.
02:09However, a few afternoon showers are likely.
02:12Both days will have maximum temperatures of 32 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago.
02:18The sun may be hiding these couple of days, but here's when you can watch her rise and set.
02:24Sun rises at 6.06 in Trinidad and 6.03 in Tobago.
02:28And sunset is at 5.40 in Trinidad and 5.36 in Tobago.
02:33And if you're visiting the beach tomorrow, seas are moderate with waves 1.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters
02:39and below 1 meter in sheltered areas.

02:45In international news, a volcano in Ethiopia has erupted for the first known time in over 10,000 years,
03:02spewing plumes of thick smoke and ash high into the sky and impacting air travel thousands of miles away.
03:08Several flights have been cancelled, delayed or rerouted in India because of the ash,
03:15with the country's aviation regulator asking airlines to strictly avoid affected areas.
03:20The long, dormant volcano roared to life on Sunday, covering the neighboring villages in dust
03:27and creating challenges for farmers.
03:29However, no casualties were reported.
