00:00Thanks, Vash. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. It's Friday and it's time for your weather.
00:07We're starting off with conditions in Portisbane presently.
00:11TV6's Weather Center says downtown is partly cloudy with temperatures at 30 degrees Celsius.
00:17We have winds coming east at 6 knots. Humidity is at 74%.
00:22Now, tonight is the big game and I hope everyone is either tuning in or on their way to the football match tonight.
00:31And you're probably wondering what conditions to expect.
00:34Well, according to the Met Office, tonight will be partly cloudy at times with light to moderate showers over most areas.
00:41There is a medium chance that isolated heavy showers and thunderstorms could occur by late night or early morning.
00:48So, if you're in uncovered stands tonight, well, have your umbrellas in hand.
00:54Minimum temperatures are 24 degrees Celsius in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
00:59Moving on to tomorrow, conditions are looking partly cloudy at times with isolated showers becoming mostly settled by late evening.
01:09Note that Saharan dust will be present in the atmosphere with moderate to high concentration.
01:14So, persons who are adversely affected by the elevated concentration of the dust are advised to take the necessary precautions.
01:23Maximum temperatures are coming in at 32 degrees in Trinidad and 30 in Tobago.
01:29And for our two-day forecast Sunday, you can expect some light to moderate showers with a chance that isolated thunderstorms could develop.
01:36And we're starting back our week on Monday with fair conditions accompanied by, again, partly cloudy skies and light to moderate showers.
01:46There is a possibility that isolated afternoon thunderstorms will favor southern and western areas.
01:53Maximum temperatures are 32 degrees in Trinidad and 30 in Tobago on Sunday.
01:58And 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago on Monday.
02:03So, Saturday feels like a sun, sea and sand kind of vibes.
02:08So, let's see what we're getting.
02:09Seas are moderate with waves 1 meter to 1.5 meters in open waters and up to 0.5 meters in sheltered areas.
02:17Checking in on our sun times now, sunrise is at 5.56 in Trinidad and it was set at 6.12.
02:23Over in Tobago, however, sunrise is at 5.52 and it was set at 6.10.
