00:00Let's check in with Rochelle for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. It's now time for your weather.
00:07We're starting with tonight. Expect variable cloud cover with occasional showers over a few areas.
00:13We have a low chance of thunderstorm activity. Minimum temperatures are 24 degrees in both
00:19islands. And the rain will continue tomorrow with occasional showers in between sunny spells.
00:26There's also a low chance of the odd isolated heavy shower, especially over Trinidad.
00:32So move accordingly. Maximum temperatures are expected at 30 degrees in Trinidad and 29 in Tobago.
00:39As we head over to our two-day forecast, you're probably wondering, more rain ahead?
00:44And the answer to that is yes. On 30, expect cloudy periods with scattered showers.
00:50There's also a risk of some heavy shower as well.
00:53Conditions should settle by evening with maximum temperatures of 29 degrees in both Trinidad and Tobago.
01:01And Friday will be the same, but this time with showers favoring the morning.
01:06Evening and night will be settled.
01:08Friday's maximum temperatures will come in a tad bit warmer at 30 degrees in both islands.
01:14Now, with carnival right around the corner, I know my masqueraders are killing it with their workout.
01:20I'm so proud of you. So if you want some vitamin D while you work out or just a sunset view, these are your sun times.
01:27In Trinidad, sunrise is at 628 and it will set at 602.
01:31Over in Tobago, sunrise is at 625 and it will set at 557.
01:36And the beach is also a relaxing place to exercise.
01:39So if you're getting in the water afterwards, seas will be moderate with waves, 1.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters
01:46and below 1 meter choppy in sheltered areas.
01:50It's now time for your Thai times.
01:52In international news, one person has died and 300 properties have been destroyed in bush fires that have torn across Southeast Australia.
02:13The fires occurred in dozens of locations across the country for several days, burning through land almost twice the size of Greater London.
02:22A state of emergency has been declared in Victoria as thousands of firefighters and more than 70 aircraft battle the blaze.
02:30Residents in more than a dozen communities have been advised to leave their homes.
02:35Authorities fear the fires, which are being fueled by very hot, dry and windy conditions, could burn for several weeks.
02:42Another reason to appreciate the rain in the dry season.
02:46Well, that's all for weather tonight.
02:48Don't go anywhere because there's more news when we come back.
