00:00And let's check in with Rochelle now for tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Good evening Trinidad and Tobago. It's that time again.
00:07It's Friday and also time for your weather.
00:10Let's begin with what happened today following this morning's significant increase in ITCZ activity.
00:17Across parts of eastern Tobago and eastern Trinidad,
00:21rarely cloudy skies with isolated showers continued into the late afternoon,
00:26mainly affecting Tobago and northern Trinidad.
00:28And here's what you can expect tonight.
00:31Tonight will be generally fair, apart from the chance of early morning showers in some areas,
00:36with minimum temperatures at 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
00:41Now, due to the passage of the ITCZ and Tropical Wave 37 moving across the area,
00:48isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will return across parts of the region on Saturday.
00:54But the sun will come out to brighten things up a bit.
00:57So that means for tomorrow, a mix of sunny spells and occasional patches of showers,
01:03especially over Trinidad, are expected.
01:06Daytime temperatures will reach up to 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago.
01:10And here's the number one thing you'll need for the next two days, and that's your umbrella.
01:15As both Sunday and Monday will rain cloudy spells with showers and the medium chance of isolated thunderstorm activity.
01:23Tower sun times now in Trinidad.
01:25Sunrise is at 556 and 552 in Tobago, and sunset at 621 in Trinidad and 618 in Tobago.
01:33And if your weekend will be spent at the beach, then seas will be slight to moderate with waves,
01:381.2 meters to 1.5 meters in open waters, and below 1 meter tropic near showers in sheltered areas.
01:45So be careful out there.
01:46It's now time for your tide times.
01:56To some international news now, a magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck southern Peru on Thursday
02:02at a depth of about 100 kilometers.
02:05The earthquake damaged 22 homes, several schools and health care facilities,
02:10while around 9,000 properties lost power.
02:14Three people were also injured.
02:16Peru experiences frequent earthquakes because it lies along the boundary between the Nazca and South American Tectonic Plates.
02:25And tropical storm Moké has formed in the Central Pacific,
02:29hot on the heels of Hurricane Lala, and following a similar path towards Hawaii.
02:35The storm could bring back-to-back tropical impacts to the Hawaiian island in the coming days.
02:41Well, that's all for weather tonight.
02:43As always, have a safe, fun, and blessed weekend.
02:46Sachin, it's the weekend.
02:47I'm heading out, so they are all yours.
02:51Hey, thank you very much, Rochelle.
02:53Well, to come and support, everybody, the Falcons move up the CPL standings.
