00:03Thanks, Disha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:06It's now time for the 411 on your weather.
00:09We're starting off with conditions in Port of Spain presently.
00:12We have a few clouds with temperatures at 28 degrees
00:16and winds coming east-southeast at 7 kmph and humidities at 83%.
00:22And over in Tobago, temperatures are also 28 degrees
00:25with winds coming east at 19 kmph
00:29and humidity at 78%.
00:31Here's what you can look forward to tonight.
00:35We have generally fair conditions
00:37with the exception of some brief showers near Tobago.
00:40Now, conditions are expected to become partly cloudy towards dawn
00:44with minimum temperatures at 23 degrees in Trinidad
00:47and 24 in Tobago.
00:50And start putting those umbrellas in your purse or vehicle
00:53before you forget
00:54because tomorrow will be very cloudy with scattered showers
00:57and the medium chance of isolated thunderstorm activity.
01:01Remember that gusty winds and street flooding
01:03are possible near heavy downpours.
01:06Tomorrow's maximum temperatures are coming in at 32 degrees
01:09in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago.
01:12And you're going to want to keep those same umbrellas with you
01:16because according to the Met Office,
01:18Wednesday will be cloudy to overcast
01:19with periods of rainfall
01:21and the medium percent, that's 60% chance of a few heavy showers,
01:26some settling from evening into overnight
01:29despite lingering showers
01:30with maximum temperatures of 28 degrees
01:33in both Trinidad and Tobago.
01:35While Thursday will give us cloudy
01:38with extended periods of mostly light rain
01:40and the medium chance, that's 40% of a thunderstorm activity.
01:46Thursday's maximum temperatures are expected
01:47at about 30 degrees in both Trinidad and Tobago.
01:52For most of us heading to work
01:54and leaving the house at sunrise
01:56and returning at sunset,
01:58these are what our sun times are looking like.
02:00Sunrise is at 6.02 in Trinidad
02:02and 5.59 in Tobago.
02:04And sunset is at 5.39 in Trinidad
02:07and 5.35 over in Tobago.
02:10And for the lucky ones catching sunlight at the beach,
02:13our seas are looking moderate
02:14with waves 1.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters
02:17and 1 meter occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.
02:21But just a reminder that a hazardous sea loot
02:24yellow level is still in effect until 12 p.m. tomorrow.
02:29It's now time for your Thai Times.
02:37So while we can look forward to some periods of rain,
02:49others aren't that lucky.
02:51In international news, authorities in Iran
02:54have sprayed clouds with chemicals
02:55to induce rain in an attempt
02:58to combat the country's worst drought in decades,
03:01known as cloud seeding.
03:03The process was conducted over the Ermiya Lake Basin
03:07on Saturday.
03:09Ermiya is Iran's largest lake
03:10but has largely dried out,
03:12leaving a vast salt bed.
03:14Further operations will be carried out
03:16in east and west Al-Jabajan.
03:19Rainfall is at record lows
03:20and reservoirs are nearly empty.
