00:03Thanks, Tisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:06I was a bit under the weather yesterday, but I'm back.
00:09Did you miss me? Because I missed you.
00:11Let's get right to our weather.

00:36And for tonight, you can expect a mostly fair night
00:39with minimum temperatures at 23 degrees in Trinidad
00:42and 25 in Tobago.
00:45And those mostly fair conditions will continue tomorrow
00:48along with some breezy and slightly hazy periods
00:51that will eventually be interrupted intermittently
00:55by isolated light to moderate showers.
00:58And guess who's also paying us a visit tomorrow?
01:00Saharan does, with a moderate concentration.
01:03So persons sensitive to changes in air quality
01:05should take the necessary precautions.
01:08Tomorrow's maximum temperatures are expected at 32 degrees

02:00Seas are moderate with waves,
02:021.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters
02:04and up to 1 meter, occasionally choppy and sheltered areas.
02:08So be careful out there.
02:10It's now time for your tired times.
02:24Have you ever heard of a geomagnetic storm?
02:28Well, it's when storms on the sun
02:30trigger disturbances in the Earth's magnetic field.
02:33A solar storm becomes a geomagnetic storm
02:36when it reaches the Earth.
02:38And in tonight's international news,
02:40scientists have issued alerts
02:41for approaching solar or dramatic storms
02:44which are set to hit Earth this week
02:46and will produce bright, stunning displays
02:49of light known as auroras
02:51over parts of the United States, Canada and Europe,
02:55while also temporarily disrupting some communications.
02:59On Tuesday, forecasters at the U.S. National Oceanic
03:02and Atmospheric Administration said
03:05significant geomagnetic disturbances
03:07had been recorded in the past few days,
03:10specifically in the form of several coronal mass ejections,
03:14which occur when the sun issues bursts of energy.
03:18The agency issued a G4 geomagnetic storm
03:21with signal on a five-level scale,
03:24implying that severe storms could be expected.
03:27That's all for weather tonight.
03:29Don't go anywhere.
03:30There's more news when we come back.
