00:00Hello and welcome to this Western Australian Janesweather update for Monday.
00:04We've got leftover cloud here that will form into showers and thunderstorms again as the day goes on.
00:10But it's confined to the north that does not come down into the southwest.
00:13Instead, we're all about the clear skies and the heat that we've got coming down.
00:17We've just got this little bit that is on that southern fringe.
00:20Nothing much like what we're seeing further south.
00:22We're not going to get that cold air clip us here.
00:24We're all about the heat today.
00:26Let's have a look at day by day what to expect.
00:28So here's our showers and thunderstorms for Monday.
00:31That'll be in the afternoon and evening, mainly when it kicks off again, but it doesn't come into that southwest corner.
00:36Instead, the trough is running down here right on the coastline.
00:39So that means all the heat is right through to the coastline and the cool air is blocked from coming inland.
00:44That's for Monday.
00:45Let's have a look at Tuesday.
00:46Yes, the trough is still right on that coast there.
00:49So, yes, we are still hot.
00:51Here is our showers and thunderstorms turning to areas of widespread rain.
00:54It doesn't come down into the south.
00:55Have a look at Wednesday.
00:57That now moves inland.
00:59So by the end of it, there is the trough.
01:00There is the cool change.
01:02We've got a cooler air that is moving across the southwest.
01:05That pushes all of the wet weather out ahead of it.
01:07So this is not coming down into the southwest.
01:09It is heading eastwards.
01:10So there's Wednesday into Thursday.
01:12That moves eastwards.
01:13And we are on the dry side in through here.
01:16The trough is now in through here.
01:17So we're mild to the western coast.
01:19That's Thursday heading into Friday.
01:22Wet weather coming down through here.
01:23Trough is here.
01:24So it's to the east of that.
01:26Have a look at Saturday.
01:27That, again, heads eastwards.
01:29We've got our trough that's running down in through here.
01:30So, again, we're on the mild side.
01:32Heading to Sunday.
01:33That trough is starting to redevelop.
01:35And Monday it is offshore.
01:37So we will have a heat up at the end of the weekend and into early next week.
01:41But if you're off to wet weather in that southwest, there isn't a lot of it.
01:45We've just got this potential that's in through here, which isn't much at all.
01:48All of the activity is further north and further inland.
01:51All of that is moving eastwards.
01:53It begins here and it heads further eastwards as the week goes on.
01:57Let's have a look at what that means for Perth.
01:58So we're 30, 31 during the afternoon.
02:00Today, sunshine, sunshine, sunshine.
02:02You'll see there's no wet weather at all through here.
02:05Have a look at this, 17 to 33.
02:08And then 29 on Wednesday.
02:09Then we get our southerly wind kick in.
02:11So we'll feel that cool change come through during the day on Wednesday.
02:15That means on Thursday, we're back down to 26.
02:1824 for Friday.
02:19No wet weather.
02:20But we do have a southerly during the afternoon.
02:22Across the weekend, 24, then 27.
02:25They're back up to 33 by next Monday.
02:27So we start the week hot.
02:28The change comes through during the day on Wednesday.
02:31We're milder to fish off and go through the weekend.
02:33And then it heats up once again.
02:35As always, head to File Online Weather for the latest.
