00:00Hello and welcome to this national Janesweather update for Monday.
00:04We've got a leftover cloud that is over Western Australia.
00:06That's going to kick off again during the afternoon and evening.
00:09I've got a cool change that is workiest way up the coast.
00:11So I've got some stream showers just in northeast New South Wales and mainly coastal Queensland.
00:16But this down the bottom here, all of that speckled cloud, look how large it is, how wide it is.
00:22That is the next cold outbreak.
00:24And here is the band of rain that comes with it.
00:26So that's moving into the southeast as the day goes on.
00:28Let's have a look at day by day what to expect.
00:31First of all, the blues and the purples indicate just how cold that air is in the south.
00:35That's going to move across through here.
00:36We've got this area of showers and thunderstorms that extends from the top end into these parts of Western Australia, not heading any further south.
00:44The heat is being pushed into the southwest of the country for the next couple of days.
00:48That ends on Wednesday.
00:49But here is our stream showers that are coming into the coastal parts of northeast New South Wales and Queensland through there.
00:56So that's what we have today.
00:58Moving into tomorrow, here's Tuesday.
01:00Here's all of that crossing the southeast.
01:02It really doesn't extend much further into New South Wales there and nowhere really into South Australia except that southeast corner.
01:09Next high pressure system is moving through here.
01:10But there's that chunk of cold air that comes with it.
01:13Now we're going to feel that chunk of cold air move its way right up the coast in through here.
01:17It's going to move right across New South Wales and into southeast Queensland as the week goes on.
01:21It's not a cold and wet thing.
01:23It is a cold and dry feature as it moves further north.
01:27So all of that wet weather clears up.
01:29Here is this one again.
01:30Again, not coming into the southwest.
01:32It stops in through there, but the heat is certainly there.
01:34But the trough by the end of Tuesday night still offshore.
01:37OK, heading into Wednesday.
01:39Have a look at this one here.
01:40Now the trough has moved inland.
01:42So Wednesday is the day that the cool change does come through.
01:45Showers and thunderstorms tending to areas of rain that are away from that southwest corner.
01:49Meanwhile, high pressure is moving northwards.
01:52But we've got that cool air that is working its way all the way up north in through there.
01:56So we've got dry air associated with that one.
01:58The next system hits Tasmania, but it misses the mainland.
02:01So having a look at Thursday into here, going across Tasmania, another cold outbreak.
02:06Meanwhile, we're starting to see a trough working its way through Queensland.
02:09So that's the start of the next bout of wet weather, showers and thunderstorms on a trough line.
02:14And we've got this one that is coming down into South Australia.
02:17So that's by the end of Thursday.
02:18Let's watch what these two are going to do.
02:21As we move into Friday, we've still got this coming down into the west.
02:24This one moving across.
02:26And this one that is in through here.
02:27So a long line of showers and storms out ahead of that trough in through there.
02:31So that's Friday into Saturday moving across.
02:34This continues.
02:35This continues here.
02:37And then finally into Sunday, a lot of activity across the north there, including the majority of Queensland.
02:42What might all of that are up to by the end of next Monday?
02:45A lot's in through here.
02:47If you're underneath a shower or thunderstorm, yes, it is going to be heavy.
02:50As this one moves across the southeast, we've got that first bop up from that cold air.
02:54Then that system moving through.
02:56Falls won't be as big as last time, but it's still a decent outbreak, particularly in the western parts of Tasmania there.
03:03And this one coming down to here, but not into that southwest corner.
03:06As always, head to it from online weather, for the least.
