00:00Hello and welcome to this Jane's Weather Update for Queensland for Monday.
00:04We have got our next major rain system that is brewing now.
00:07Having a look at the heat signature first of all, heat waves,
00:10so multiple days in a row that have excessive heat.
00:13It's now up the top, but yes, I can assure you there's a fair bit of heat
00:16that is moving down into the southeast today.
00:18That is about to disappear.
00:20There's a cold outbreak over the southeast of the country
00:22that's going to zoom up the coast and provide some very interesting relief.
00:27Temperatures are absolutely going to plummet.
00:28So having a look at this one here, let's have a look what to expect by the end of the day.
00:32So here's Monday.
00:34We're looking at this moving in into the coast as well, not into the southeast as yet.
00:38There's Monday.
00:39Let's have a look at Tuesday.
00:41Lots of big falls down through the coast here, the rangers,
00:44and a little bit through the inland as well, and the colder air that comes with it too.
00:48So that is during the day on Tuesday.
00:50Having a look at Wednesday.
00:52Here we are still going, particularly a coastal thing now.
00:54Things are dried up over the inland.
00:57Have a look at Wednesday.
00:57Sorry, here's into Thursday.
00:59We've got onshore airflow.
01:00We've got heat that is rebuilding over in the west.
01:02So there's going to be another spike of that.
01:04But at the moment, just lighter falls along the coast.
01:06Having a look at Friday, very similar picture.
01:09Here's the heat coming back into the west.
01:11Into Saturday.
01:12We've got more wet weather to come into the southeast.
01:14So that's the next surge on that as our trough sets up in through here.
01:18And the heat comes into the west as well.
01:20Then into Sunday and into next Monday.
01:23Our next major rain system may be coming through.
01:25But that's a full week away at this stage.
01:28What might that add up to?
01:29This does include a little bit of that next rain system.
01:32But the major falls for the moment are in the coastal areas, Cairns and southwards.
01:36Onto the rangers as well.
01:38Less inland.
01:39More to the north.
01:40Less to the south.
01:41This one, 50 to 75.
01:4225 to 50 millimetres.
01:44So anything yellow is a significant amount here.
01:47As always, if there is a thunderstorm over you, then yes, it will bring a heavier fall than what this shows here.
01:52Here's the widespread wet weather.
01:54Let's have a look at day by day for Brisbane.
01:56And here is our temperature roller coaster.
01:59Absolute roller coaster.
02:00We're in the high 30s today.
02:02We're in the low 20s tomorrow.
02:04So a huge change comes through.
02:05It's about midnight tonight.
02:07So here's our dry weather today.
02:09Here's our wet weather expected during the day on Tuesday.
02:11So 26 millimetres is, that's the biggest day.
02:15Eight and then two and then three and five and so on and so on.
02:17So there's our coldest day.
02:19Then we move back up into the mid to high 20s and we'll stay there for the foreseeable future.
02:24The heat does rebuild over in the west.
02:26But there is some wet weather pretty much each and every day.
02:29But tomorrow, then Tuesday, is the biggest one of those.
02:32As always, head to Farm Online Weather for the latest.
