00:00Hello and welcome to this Jane's Weather Update for Monday.
00:03We have got a big system crossing the eastern parts of the country today.
00:07Essentially it is tropical moisture coming in from the north,
00:09meeting up with low pressure and slowly moving through.
00:12So we've got our heat confined to the north for now.
00:15We do have a fair bit of that going down to the southwest today and tomorrow though.
00:19Alright, let's have a look day by day what to expect in through here.
00:22So here's Monday and by the end of the day we've got some serious falls coming through here.
00:2625 to 50 millimetres, 15 to 25 which is anything that is in yellow.
00:31So all of that very slowly moving eastwards as the low pressure system does the same.
00:35It stretches right up into New South Wales and then also Queensland and into the NT here.
00:40So let's watch that clear eastwards.
00:42Here we move into Tuesday.
00:44So we've got the remains of this wrapping around the low and moving through the southeast.
00:49So yes, that's lots of showers moving through for Cup Day Tuesday in Melbourne.
00:52Otherwise we've got lots of showers and thunderstorms about the eastern seaboard there.
00:56The next weather system is brewing off the west there.
00:58So that's on Tuesday.
01:00Heading into Wednesday that gets a lot bigger.
01:02Again, tropical moisture running into low pressure and drenching all of those in its path.
01:07We clear out in the southeast here as the next high pressure system comes in.
01:11So only lighter falls left over for Wednesday and it's looking pretty clear in New South Wales and much of Queensland.
01:17So there's Wednesday now moving into Thursday.
01:19This system is slowly heading eastwards.
01:21Again, tropical moisture, low pressure all coming together in a big way.
01:24The east takes a break.
01:26High pressure out to the east.
01:27So conditions start to warm up.
01:29But this is on its way on Friday.
01:31The change is likely to be in through these parts by the end of the day.
01:35Again, moisture running into low pressure.
01:37But it does peter out as it heads across the southeast.
01:40So this system here doesn't look to be quite as big.
01:43There's Friday and then into Saturday.
01:46Cold hair coming up in behind that one.
01:48And lots that's moving into Queensland and New South Wales by Sunday.
01:51Here we have it all moving through here as the next system potentially takes off.
01:56What might all of that add up to?
01:58Lots if you're in the southeast.
02:00Anything yellow is 25 to 50 millimetres.
02:03Anything the deeper colour, 50 to 75.
02:05It's not often that you see those deeper colours in the southeast here and not pretty much anywhere else in the country except up in the far north, as you would expect at this time of year.
02:14It skips southwest Queensland and northwestern parts of New South Wales.
02:18It certainly hits the coast.
02:19And this one here splits from the north.
02:21That's the southern half of WA that's going to see the falls as that one moves through.
02:25As always, head to Farm Online Weather for the last.
