00:00hey guys welcome back to Unipersers once again this is your host Enikima and in today's video

00:09i'm gonna be talking about yet another anime series all right this time it's gonna be another

00:17anime review right now originally this was intended to be a underrated anime take but

00:25recently i found out this one out this one had a second season and i was like well

00:35now i had to you know postpone the video and check out the second season which

00:44long story short it sort of was the breaking point for this not being considered an underrated anime

00:53you know as part of my underrated segment so i'm just gonna be reviewing this as a regular anime

01:00now how did i miss out on the second season um well let's just say i'm not the smartest tool in the shed

01:09i originally made this whole video a while ago but i'm not to redo it entirely so here we go

01:16today's video i'm gonna be talking about is this a zombie all right a good chance you may or may not

01:24have heard of this particular anime um it's not ongoing from what i've seen it seems to have ended

01:34quite a while back along with the manga as well so going into this right now if you want the short

01:43answer what this anime is about well it's basically a high schooler who gets murdered by a seer killer

01:56then he gets resurrected by a necromancer from Hades and that's well the basis of it you know they

02:08show you him trying to live his life day to day as a zombie while meeting other weird characters like

02:17to tell the truth if i really go deep into this i just try to give you a quick summary of what this

02:24anime is about it's gonna sound too weird to the point where i'll just have to give you a long version

02:30right so here we go the anime starts off with a character i amu awkward he's giving you

02:38that sort of like perspective where he tells you the life from his point of view that's what starts off

02:46then you see him get hit by a bus and well from there he starts talking to you about how he got to

02:58this point you know he says i'm a zombie right that's why he doesn't die now i might get to that

03:07bit a little bit later but you see the other characters like the necromancer who brought him back to life

03:19he they introduce you to that character then they show you how they go about living you know apparently

03:27this character her she has to wear heavy armor and she also has to be emotionless and she does not speak

03:41the reason why is because her magic is too powerful right so she just has to basically

03:52use written notes like like if she's someone who has a speech impairment or something although she doesn't

03:59she lets use that way of communication because she doesn't want to you know risk injuring someone or

04:10causing any harm by speaking or showing emotion so she basically has to be a

04:21wooden lifeless um puppet to avoid getting into trouble it's a kind of interesting power and a very

04:31interesting way how they that character is set up um although they don't really put her in much

04:41you know crazy like scenarios with it most of the time she's just with him

04:47keeps herself isolated she only talks to him most of the time through her notes then you have haruna

04:57now this is the main character that adds the space to this anime and shakes it up but she is apparently a

05:07a magical garment girl who uses a magic chain so named missa latinian i think i pronounced it correctly

05:17she uses that to battle demons known as melos right and she can also use her magic to repair damage

05:26and even various people enemies memories so it's pretty interesting character here but there's more

05:38you also have a next character i get introduced in the show called serapim she is a this is the word part

05:48she is a vampire ninja who uses a secret sword technique swallow cut and swallow it and strike you hear her use

06:00that a lot you know it you know weight comes like it's a only attack but she's also into the mix

06:10um she also adds another spice to the anime as she's the one who's like you know rough on the the main

06:24character and she calls him names like maggot and all kind of stuff although she still like hangs out with

06:34him because of his combat abilities that he has you know this is this is actually something i get too late

06:41in the video because how weird it is but she is one of those characters you know that like

06:51sibling sort of stuff you know she beat off on him but she also be there looking for him then you also

06:59have this next character male storm i think that's it pronounced she is another vampire ninja but she's a

07:11different faction from the other one and she's also a student in aimus high school where she has a different

07:22alias right because she doesn't you know want to have people knowing about who she really is now this one

07:32is actually really funny because she ends up being aimus wife in a way because they accidentally kiss and

07:46you know according to their factions and the sort of like rules or conduct stuff they have listed

07:55if she kills someone she automatically automatically marries them which is one of the awareness law whoever wrote

08:03that um but yeah it that that also adds a very interesting mix to the anime

08:14that along with the other characters

08:19and then there's some other characters as well um another vampire ninja and then you have the bad guys

08:29but um you're not really going to get too much into that because those characters are more in the secondary

08:34category category but um that's pretty much the gist of it in terms of like what to know with the main

08:44cast overall it starts off pretty interesting now the way that it started off it does like you know

08:54puts you on the spot and you're looking at it and you're like okay yeah certain expectations of how this

09:00is going to play out and for the most part it does a pretty good job at keeping you interested

09:08it's mostly to do with the characters interacting with each other in the house you know with the main

09:14guy aimu it has this sort of like harem-ish

09:21take to it because it's this one guy and then he has this girl who's with him and then he ends up in

09:29this weird circumstance where he had his next girl and then this next girl you know so in a way it bears

09:36resemblance to others like monster monsume or love tyrant like those type of harem-ish but this one

09:46it actually has a sort of lore sort of background to it um stuff about the characters and like different

09:56groups and it also has this like its own weird way and how it explores magic science and those sort of

10:06things and how it relates to the other world and pretty weird stuff if i'm gonna be honest with you

10:16and to top it all off it has a pretty dope intro theme song to go with it

10:32all right now in terms of like the positives i think that's pretty much it for this anime um

10:48the storyline it's it's pretty much straightforward towards like say once you get a little bit later

10:58and it tends to you know like go in some directions um but to actually get on to the negatives of this

11:08anime which sort of like almost broke it for me but in the season two which i'll get to in a minute

11:20it gets worse for them so far looking at season one um now this is probably the most annoying part

11:31from the terror is this a zombie right the main character he has this tendency to

11:38constantly constantly reaffirm to the viewer that he is a zombie

11:47because i'm a zombie i'm a zombie it's because i'm a zombie you see i'm a zombie

11:53you need to shut the up now i get it you know he's always he doesn't say directly

12:02to the audience like if it's some sort of like fault war breaking tactic but

12:08he just mostly says it to the other characters but like he does it like almost every single time

12:15when they're like discussing about doing something up there in the middle of a fight he says it's

12:21okay because i'm a zombie and it's like so overdone like like yes we get it you are a zombie you don't

12:28need to repeat it over and over and over and over so i find that was one of the aspects that it's not

12:38really a big thing but it's just one of those small things that got really annoying as the you know show

12:49went on to the point where i was like just rolling my eyes every time i heard it you know aside from that

12:58there is also the aspect of the magical garment girl now this is actually one that is a it has its

13:06moment right um because in the anime he picks up the magic chainsaw and apparently he gets

13:15her powers but in a way it comes like he steals her powers because the girl when she grabs the chainsaw

13:21back to use it she cannot able to summon her magical damage powers right so in a way it comes like he

13:30steals her powers this show does have a sort of like way to explain this a pretty weird way to explain

13:39it if i can remember but um that's how you know the show plays out right shadow show you see her using

13:49the power then he gets it and he ends up like basically using it for the rest of the show

13:56and like every time he transforms it's something like that power rangers like morphing where you

14:06every time you always see the same relate footage of the suit just magically appearing on him and

14:15and there is some weird vibes to it which to be honest the show actually does um make a lot of you know

14:28jokes at those are the jokes um so there's a good chance some people who i know if you're like

14:37someone who's major on the lgbt whatever you might probably find yourself either not liking this or

14:44or you're probably might be fine with it because they do make some commentary that stirs in that

14:56direction not like straight out of left field but there is some here and there other than that

15:06there isn't really much else in the first season

15:09it drags a bit in the middle and it picks up toward the end i'll give it that now the second season

15:20this is where it really hits the fan for me um they sort of like gives you a recap and you go back to the

15:30other characters and they also like you know cover up some stuff on the first one to get you back up to

15:37speed and at the same time they also doubles down or tripled even quadruples down on you know some of that

15:50that humor banterish which wasn't all that bad in the first season but in the second season it gets

15:58actually kind of annoying and a bit over blown and unnecessary the way it gets a bit too much annoying

16:11especially the part where you know him having the powers to transform into the the garment girl

16:19that he got from the other girl yeah they go a bit too much on that and it gets like

16:25like it it actually gets more annoying than funny even though they played off for jokes

16:31aside from that the second season it it's a lot more clustered than the first

16:41because there is it doesn't have a straightforward direction or flow as the first season because the first season

16:50you know he's he's giving you that sort of like rundown on how he became a zombie while he's trying to

16:58find a person that kill him right and then like halfway into the season they they take it a sort of like

17:06directional turn where you find out about the killer and then he has to go and do this other stuff with

17:13the necromancer so it's not really that far off i mean there's some stuff that they you know hint at or

17:23introduce here and there but it doesn't really like jumbles the overall amazing plot season two it

17:33it gets like like weird because they show you this stuff and then you're looking at it and then

17:45next you know they it's not like they jump around and try to like juggle different stuff but they try to

17:53like make them all seem more relevant than it actually is and it feels like it was crammed to tell you the

18:04truth and it didn't know exactly what to focus on and what to sideline to tell you the truth and because

18:15of that i ended up like not liking the anime as much as i originally did you know from watching season

18:24one alone after watching season two i'm just like it's not automatically terrible like like if you're

18:32watching transformers the first movie and then you see transformers 2 where it just went from like

18:40good great to subpa really stupid levels um it's not like that degree of like first a second but it's

18:55it's actually enough that i was i ended up deciding that you know it's not an underweight anime overall i will

19:04see it's still a worth a watch i would recommend in terms of if it's actually still enjoyable well you'll

19:17have to decide that for yourself if you're into enemies that have that sort of harem comedy-esque stuff but

19:28it also has lore to it and stuff that it sets up and explore like like it actually has a world building

19:38that you could actually look into i'm pretty sure you might find yourself enjoying this one once you

19:45can look past the detractors but if that type and style is not up your alley if it's not your cup of tea

19:53then you probably might want to give a hard pass on this one all right but for me i'm gonna say it's

20:00okay you know it's it's not that bad i'd say it's something worth checking out right but that's my take
