00:00Hey guys, welcome back to In The Parises. Once again, this is your host in The Gamer.
00:21Today I'm going to be doing an anime view on a pretty odd anime to tell you the truth.
00:28Today I'm going to be talking about a-hole girl. Now if you guys know any more Japanese,
00:41you would know that a-hole means idiot. So the actual name of this anime in English
00:47is Idiot Girl. Now this is actually pretty different from what I usually review for several reasons.
00:56For starters, this is a short anime. Each episode is like 12 minutes, which is like half of the
01:05standard length of an anime episode. So this is basically half the length of your usual
01:11pilot anime to say at least. Alright, so it's a pretty short anime. You can pretty much binge
01:18this out in one day. Less than a day and still have time to watch other stuff to tell you the truth.
01:23Okay, now let's get into the plot. Keep in mind this is a comedy slice of life genre. So
01:33it's not really meant to be taken all that seriously. Alright, but the plot is basically
01:39on this high school girl named Yoshiko Hanapataki. Now, as the title suggests, she is stupid.
01:49Now what happens is she, she's like that crazy girl that tends to, um, you know, hang out and
01:55annoy her friends. This includes one of her neighbor's childhood friends called Aku, uh,
02:01Akutsu. I can't even pronounce that correctly. Aku Akutsu. And her, Yoshiko's mother wants her to marry him.
02:09And when you see her mom, you realize exactly where she got her stupid from. Like they're pretty much a
02:18replica of each other. It's just a thing. Um, but she wants her to marry him in a time that, you know,
02:25he gets rich or whatever, because he's smart and he can get successful. So they want to leech off of him,
02:33in a way. You know, they have their own, uh, motives, in a sense. What happens is we become
02:41friends with Sakaya Sumo, who along with Kuru, try to keep Yoshiko in check, right? And then you also have
02:49this one called a public morals chairwoman. This is like the uptight girl. She doesn't like any of them,
02:58but she also starts to take your liking to Akuru and his, you know, being serious and how he
03:06interacts with her or whatever. And then you have Ritchie Kurosaki. This is a supposed delinquent who is,
03:13um, becomes friends with Yoshiko, like thinking of her exam cup leader.
03:18Uh, that's pretty much it for the main characters as far as I can see here. There are some supporting
03:25characters here and there, but pretty much only to note of the main characters, you know, the current
03:32characters in the show. Now for the majority of the show, like I said, not being a comedy slice of life
03:38is not really anything meant to be taken seriously in like a beginning, middle, end story. Like it's just
03:45series of random events happening across these characters' day-to-day lives and you just take
03:51with what you will write. Now, what did I think of Ehogir in particular, right? And I'll say this,
03:56this anime is, it's pretty weird and cringe, man. I will say it doesn't get as crazy spicy,
04:05you know, as probably as it could given the scenario here. It's pretty weird, you know, the idea of having
04:13a dumb girl that's addicted to bananas and her friends or this guy and all that stuff. It's, like I said,
04:21you know, it's one of those turn your brain off type stuff you just watch and enjoy. I will say here in this
04:28scene now, you can enjoy this compared to other comedy slice of life animes more because, like I
04:35said in the beginning, it's very short. You know, each episode is 12 months long, so it's basically
04:41half the length of your average anime. And it's simple premise, right? Comedy slice of life,
04:46you just basically have a girl who's like, have mental problems or something. And you have this guy who is
04:52sort of like a introvert. And then you have these girls and such. In a way, it's, it's partly a harem
05:00because all the girls sort of end up developing an attraction to them. So you can classify it as a
05:06part harem. It doesn't actually go into that world much because of the, you know, the character
05:13personalities and such. No, it's more so on a light harem, I would say. In terms of the animation itself,
05:22this actually has some pretty good animation. This has slightly above average. With the
05:27voice acting's anime, there is nearly all that much because this is a straight subtitle, right?
05:33There is no dub for this one. So, you're gonna have to keep that in mind if you want to check this
05:39anime out. You're gonna be reading subtitles. Just not for a long while since it's a short anime.
05:47Although I would say there is fan dubs on YouTube. If you want to check out those,
05:53take, you know, get English version in this. And the voices actually doesn't sound that bad per
05:59say. I don't think the whole all episodes are fan dubbed. Just some of them. So I'll just say stick
06:06to the subtitles. It won't really be that long of a watch, to be honest. The soundtrack is actually
06:12good. The anime does know how to play up on its funny moments and strange moments and such. It knows
06:22how to troll and things as well. So I'll give them that much. So yeah, all in all, there's a
06:29video game anime. It's actually okay. You know, it's, it's not that bad. It's a pretty fun watch.
06:38Monsuke, if you're not annoyed by the main character. The side characters are also okay. You know,
06:47they're with personalities and such. They mostly all play off each other. So for the sum it up, I'd say
06:53this is a slightly above average anime. You know, for a comedy slice of life, I think it works. I think
07:01it's worth recommending, especially given how short it is. Yeah, I think you could actually dig into this
07:08easily. And I'd say the strongest aspect of the anime is its pacing. If this was your standard
07:16anime length, it probably would have been dragging. So I'd say the, the idea to have it, um, make it 12
07:27minute episodes. That was like the best decision, whoever came up with that first anime. It makes it
07:34a lot more enjoyable and also more worth recommending, right? So there, guys, that pretty much sums up my
07:41review here for it. It will get us short and quick, just like the anime. There's nothing really much major
07:47here for me to dwell into, given how it's a comedy slice of life. There's nothing really much ongoing
07:53for the storyline. You know, it's pretty much your average, throw away watching anime. But it's
07:59something worth recommending and I'll pay you, right? Let's prove my take on this show.
08:04Well, as if the driver didn't have a warrior in the world. I got a good look at the man riding shotgun.
08:10It was Vladimir, the head of the local Russian mob, the flying Don Punchinello's suit.
08:17The ringing of my ears was the sound of a mob war being waged.
08:40Another bomb exploded inside the closest slum building. It was a lucky break. The goons inside
08:58were spooked, but luck always came with a price tag. More bombs could still be ticking inside,
09:03and the cops would already be on their way.
