00:00holy moly hey guys welcome back to your precious once again this is your host

00:07Daniky and today's video I'm going to be talking about a crazy anime I just got

00:13done watching like a few days ago and I let the process through my head because um this

00:19anime is like oh shit man yeah the whole season and you want to know get some time

00:24and take in the story and think it true as to whether or not how it was fleshed out if

00:32everything was important or not and such so that's why I how I go about when I review

00:39these animes but today I'm gonna be a anime review not an underrated anime I know you

00:46guys probably want to see another underrated anime but I can't really classify this to

00:51underrated and it's for certain reasons I'm at first I was thinking hmm and then

00:58after I finished watching I was like yeah I don't think it's underrated I think I think

01:04it has a lot to do with characters elements and such like in terms of how the story

01:10played out right but in today's video I'm gonna be talking about school days

01:17okay now before I get into the anime and then just the sauce here I'm just gonna

01:22um give you a rundown on the what this series is about because it's actually pretty

01:27interesting like it's it's actually a visual novel you know those visual novel

01:33type click game that's where it started off as back in a day instead of an adult game

01:40back in the day out in 2005 so like it follows the the plot of the anime itself right so I don't

01:48have to go there into it right but the plot is in basic terms layman terms it's a dramatic slice

01:55of life type anime that follows Makoto the main character who is like he's like a high school

02:02students who have it like love interest of several girls and there's some like outcomes around that

02:08you know in relationships having me stuff and such now here's the thing it started

02:16as a visual novel game that turned into anime and then it gets its way as the actual anime itself

02:21and this is very interesting because they have spin-offs called cross days some of these

02:26highland days um these are like spin-offs on the game right not the anime so I'm not really going

02:33to go into those that's going to go into the anime itself of course school days and it's just one

02:38season all right Makoto ito but he is a high school student he is living with a divorce and unseen

02:46mother in the picture of the city of Ham and Hima whatever pronouncing um now he he gets like this sort of

02:55like googly eyes for this girl called Cortona and she's like a schoolmate who like you know he he gets

03:04to see on train rides to run from campus and in his homeroom class she's um rearranged with this girl

03:12cause she kites a junior an upbeat girl who takes a special interest in his newfound crush like she in

03:20this is sort of like the the wingman but you know she's a girl so she's like the wing woman you know

03:26the third wheel in the um relationship or what presumed to be relationship you know she's like trying to

03:32get him to get closer to her to like giving him you know like the the beats and the the tips and how to

03:40properly get inside her pants and such you know it follows that that structural genetic predictable way

03:47that you would expect when you have this sort of like three-way relationship triangle relationship

03:53even if you've watched like romance or any other like drama shows movies whatever right you know

04:02that when there's someone like or usually girls right if there's like a girl that's trying to

04:09trying to link up the the guy and the other girl together you know trying to get the guy to

04:16get a home run with this crush and so now it's like this you usually have that that other girl

04:23shouldn't be coming just a new couple and you know like developing feelings for them and such

04:30and that's exactly what happens here i mean you can see it from a mile away right you know she's like

04:35giving him like tips and like like practicing how to make out and all the other stuff right and while

04:42she's doing that she end up developing feelings for him and then eventually she becomes his girlfriend

04:49but at first you think that okay this is going to be something i wear it for a lot here and you see

04:55how it's going especially with the other cast and such and then eventually like i think like halfway

05:02into the show it takes a toll and a huge turn and it's exactly what you see here halfway into the

05:07here halfway into the army it picks up and it's like whoa whoa whoa it gets like in a different level

05:15you know and it's pretty interesting because like during the first few episodes of the anime

05:21i'm watching it i'm like getting this weird vibes of like of like if i'm watching that an 80s anime

05:31and an early 2000s and it's so weird it's like the animations there and the anime is also an old anime

05:41came back in 2007 so it's it's fairly dated but it has like a mixture of like 80s and like early 2000

05:502001 vibes 2002 vibes which is interesting mechanically like had that sort of vibe from watching the

05:58animes that i have watched and reviewed so far and there's also the fact about the anime

06:08the way it tells its story too it has its somewhat realistic sense to it because you know it's a slice

06:13of life anime anime it's um it's basically drama and romance stuff there's no like supernatural horror

06:22or mythological stuff or any like you know like alien or fantasy stuff to it that makes it like it's you

06:31know like the other harem animes that i have reviewed like say for example monster monsumi you know that's

06:40basically about different girls that are like part human part animal and such that's not really

06:47realistic you know and then there's the one that i reviewed recently where how to not summon a demon

06:55what is another take on the harem anime genre but it's in a video game world so it's not realistic

07:04this one is actually a pretty interesting realistic way to look at someone in a harem verse but not

07:13really in a harem verse i'll get that in a second because with the way all this plays out element of

07:19the harem anime it kind of get washed a little bit um with the side characters because there's quite a bit

07:26of them that you see in and out throughout the show again in line with the meaning characters you have

07:32the secondary characters who are somewhat pivotal to the plot you have this one called satsuna

07:38kiyo right she is a student and also in the same class we injured makato under or the one she's on the

07:47student council as a rep and she is it's only one of those short little ones um she usually doesn't

07:56really say much at the beginning but it gets more interesting towards like the second half coming

08:03onto the final tool and she just disappears afterwards um and i'm really going to get into the specifics about

08:08the character because i don't want to like spoil this anime because believe me the twist in this

08:14anime will have your head spinning so i don't like to ruin that for you if you haven't experienced it yet

08:19she's like very close to uh sekai she's like a best friend having grown up with her and she's like

08:26how does all like work protect her view to to the point where she comfortable hurting or putting others

08:33at arm's length to ensure sekai is happy she is has like leave because of like her parents like

08:41moving out whatever what she's worried about sekai and you know how makato and sekai are getting together

08:48and then there's a whole love triangle with him and the girl you know he she has to like get him to give

08:56her his word that he's gonna stay faithful together right and yeah in certain cases it turns from a

09:04love triangle to a sort of like love hexagon in a way and the story gets up and down like in like

09:14the second half towards the final third and there's certain things about some characters that i've left

09:19myself confused and and pounding about as to whether or not why where were they like for example there's

09:26this other character right called taizuki sawanaguawaga or pronounce that he is like the main guy the main

09:34character right he is like one of his um school friends from like when they're young you get to know

09:40a bit about him throughout the um show in little ways you know he's like one of those hopeless romantic

09:47perverts like you know them when you see them in the anime um they're just there to like make like

09:53those sort of like skimpy pervy jokes and they're not really there like anything serious much but

10:01there is an interesting thing that it is with him they try like build him up to be like a ton of

10:06um interest the way i think that corona constantly rejects him because she says that you know all time

10:12she is back to his boyfriend and there is a bit of confusion in that but that's you know due to

10:18the whole love triangle thing and i don't want to spoil that too much for you because it gets in the

10:24spoiler territory i try to like break that down but he is like the only other into like the man

10:30supporting cast he's one of a male character that you can look at and i find kind of disappointing

10:35because the anime play an interesting um like way with his role in it and then he just like gets

10:42sideline out of it like completely like like he into like second half by the time it's the final

10:48tour of the anime he's like gone and i was like watching i was like wondering where where is this

10:54guy like like he's like one of his close friends so you think that the main character right in the

10:59final tour there's like some pretty deep stuff happening and you're thinking to yourself like

11:04all this is happening but where is his like his main body you think that you'd be here to like check

11:08him out and such doing all this stuff he's not around and i found that really weird like in a

11:16way i can understand you know because um he's a supporting character right there's no sense like

11:22trying to like mainly supporting character especially at the end of the show you have to focus on the main

11:27character and the other like two main characters i get that but i just find it was a bit of a let down

11:34that he's just there but not really there in regards as to the anime's plotting right when you have them

11:41the stuff that happens i have to say this i don't really want to spoil this like i said earlier one

11:47of the main character right who is like the crush for makato the initial crush actually before he starts

11:54falling for saiki katuna but she suffers the most in this anime bro the that she has the gochi

12:04like if you talk out of like in the joker software a lot it's like watching that times ten and it does

12:13this weird thing where towards in the final third where you're watching and you're like and then you're

12:19like okay and you're thinking for a second that um okay in the final third they're like they're gonna

12:26make it up for all right and they did this thing that i would say is like the same thing they did on

12:31uncut gems where it just bam it comes right at you if you guys remember uncut gems which are movie that i

12:38am going to be reviewing soon that is a whole thing itself but the ending in that movie is what really

12:44sold it for a lot of people and that's the thing here in this anime as well the ending and how katona's

12:52character the stuff that she goes to compared to other characters i mean like i'm not going to take away

12:57anything from seikai character because she goes through a lot as well she ends up getting like

13:03pregnant or supposedly pregnant towards like in the final third and there's a lot of like you know

13:10controversy going around there between her and the other girls and makato and i have to say this but

13:17when it comes to the main character makato at first it starts off relatively normal right where you're like okay

13:23you know he's like another one of those um regular emcees again all caught up in his ham stuff and

13:31you're thinking okay this is a pretty um realistic video for the ham would take place in a school where

13:37you have you know like teens who are still not fully mentally developed to like have relationships

13:45right so this is a pretty realistic way to portray something like this but then in the second half you're

13:52like like what the hell his character but like in the second half his character gets out seem really

13:59dirtbag douchey-ish not until like oh he acts like you know he acts like a really douche but like

14:05he doesn't really want to like do anything much and he's just there you know um hanging out with the girl

14:12just using it for sex in a sense and you know anything outside that like relationship wise especially

14:19being confronted to address the other relationship with the other girls um he's just very reluctant

14:26to do it okay i would say like a lazy type character his character gets really lazy in the second half and

14:32it feels like you're really like watching someone's regress watching some like a bird go from flying to

14:40just crawling that's what his character is and it it gives you a moment in a third act where he he tries

14:49to like reconcile for some of his flaws and you know it just it just falls flat um not spoiling it

14:56though right yeah i guess i'll watch it to find out exactly how it plays out but he the guy is a real

15:05douche man like he like there are simple things he could have done to like avoid a lot of the calamities

15:11in this anime because there's quite a bit actually this anime is brutal to some of his characters

15:17and not in like a sort of like having some crazy torture gory death like say for example if you

15:26guys remember another anime it's not like that well except for one character yeah except for like two

15:33characters but um it's more like psychological stuff you know with how um relationships are and it's a

15:41pretty interesting perspective um to tell you the truth i know i didn't really cover a lot here in terms of

15:46like the plotting itself um but i just don't want to spoil the plot you know especially if you guys

15:53want to check it out there's some pretty interesting stuff plot wise in this anime oh yeah and i gotta

15:58mention that this anime there is no dub for this anime unlike the other enemies that i have reviewed

16:05this one you can watch it only with subtitles so it's going to be a bit more of a

16:11um challenging experience because you're going to you know pay more attention to read the subtitle as

16:18it comes along i'll say this isn't take that much for me i mean it takes a while to get used to at first

16:25but then after a while you're used to it the voices though for the subtitled version they're not really

16:32that good to tell you the truth but you do get used to it after a while it's just a matter of you know

16:38getting used to but i just thought i put out there for any guys who um are still interested in this

16:44anime there is no english dub all right if that's a deal breaker for you then you'll just have to pass on

16:50this it felt like it was rushing its way through in the second and third half which is one of the

16:57main complaints that you have aside from like also the character gets sidelined in it i think that's

17:03one of the main things that grab said i have this anime that prevented me from give it an underrated

17:09reading and the way home the ending happened that some character motivations did not see that it was

17:16fully justified in my opinion but outside that i'd say it's a pretty pretty interesting anime it's

17:23it's worth the watch especially if you want to get some really interesting stuff in an anime um it's a

17:31slow build up um as you expect but it picks up quite a bit in the second half that's where the spaciness

17:38kicks in but outside that it's pretty much on the you know slice of life there's nothing like major like

17:46anything actually or anything like that at all a no suspense nothing high school drama size of life

17:56and i think in that way you know it really gives this anime a a really different vibe that i really

18:05find myself liking you know as opposed to other enemies it would give it a very different vibes

18:11compared to other enemies that's one thing i would give this anime it's very it has a very different

18:18vibes and it stands out quite a bit mostly for how it portrays its story and the the sort like themes

18:28it has you know with the soundtrack and the animation and the the way it tells its story as well um

18:36overall i'd say this anime is worth watching guys um there are certain things about that you may not like

18:43um you know if you're not into slice of life then let it cross this off your list um if you're not

18:49really into like high school drama let it cross this off your list if you're not romance you're gonna

18:55have a courses off your list because this is a romance harem but it's a more realistic look on romance harem

19:03you know a more um i would say psychological take on it too with how girls would be

19:11if they were in this romance harem stuff with this one guy and they're arguing with each other and then

19:18you have all these relations and such with a different character overall if you're really looking

19:25for something that has a kick to it um a slow build up but um a a rough kick it's not like a

19:35a straight forward kick you know it's it's a little rough but a kick nonetheless you're going to enjoy

19:41this anime you know i think the strongest element of this anime is the itself is really the the setting

19:48the school setting you know um it did one thing that other enemies never did to me and it really

19:54like reminded me of back when i was in school and that's something that i found really um impressed and

20:02like shocked about it thinking about the anime and looking back on it i never really watched an anime

20:09that put me in a that sort of state of mind thinking about how i was in school but that's mostly due to

20:19the the setting in the anime the way it the way it starts off um because the the scenery from the

20:28beginning it changes quite a bit into the second half where it's more dramatic that kind of stuff

20:34because of the you know the the story and whatever but i mean yes overall outsource anime is worth watching

20:40right that is once you can look past the the detractors i have mentioned um then there's also the the

20:47video game if you want to get more stories right there's also one called summer days and another one

20:52two um but those are like it's all like different way of telling the stories um but those are just

21:00games they didn't make no like enemies based on those stories so if you want to experience those

21:05stories you gotta play the game to get those and i'd also like to point out this anime also has a

21:11live action and being the reputation of japanese made live actions you already know the verdict for it

21:20not even having to watch it hell just by looking at the poster you can already tell how this went out

21:28i can't believe they even give it away in the poster pretty sad to think that how that went over

21:36everyone's head making it but then again when they're making live actions for these enemies mostly

21:42targeting their fan base most of which would have already known the whole plot so when you think about

21:50it's not really that much of a big thing but it's still stupid when you actually just look at it

21:58i'm gonna end this video because again quite a bit long here uh in short if you're up for give
