00:00okay now this one was asked guys okay now this anime while it does take place in the same universe
00:08as steins gate it's not directly connected you can think of it as an else whole story it has
00:13its own characters and own storyline that is almost completely different from what steins
00:18gate was doing now with that out of the way i also admit that i never really heard of or cared for
00:27the show until after i watched the steins gate season two which is important because this came
00:34out before steins gate so it's like a predecessor just minus the connection which makes no sense
00:42but whatever okay now the show revolves around this generic weird guy teenager that plays games and
00:48watch the anime and he's in his trailer park and the premises he's either a schizophrenic or some
00:57gifted individuals with superpowers that need to stop some bad guys and save the day yeah it's that
01:04kind of anime which means this is going to be full of spoilers but i will say this i found the anime to
01:09be a waste of time and not worth recommending so i have no qualms here spoiling it but you've been warned
01:17okay you have the main guy takumi nishijua he's like the emcee of the story sent around he's like
01:24he's sort of like a he's presented as a schizophrenic like he's hallucinating things and he's like he
01:29doesn't really know what's really going on and he's like going crazy and he's also a schizophrenic otaku
01:36that's you know stuck inside his trailer park tingy it has all of these like figurines these anime
01:42collections and he may or may not be a suspect for a murder that's been going on let us put it out
01:51there he also he also reveals her superpowers in the show and that's small i'll touch on that in a
02:00second but let me just go to these characters real quick you have rimi sakihata he's like the crush
02:06for takumi nishiju and they do a lot of stuff around her character like you know making her seem like
02:14a personality and a play into it and such and it's really interesting at first but it just gets
02:21it really falls off after a while much like with the rest of the stuff in the show then you have
02:28seen that you're right she's like the tough girl the the badass girl in this group doesn't really take
02:34shit for nobody she just does what she wants she basically walks out a huge ass d-sword in public and
02:40doesn't really give a shit with it and she's also eating ice cream and she's just like that she's
02:47basically the michelle rodriguez of this group if you don't know what she is in the fast franchise no
02:54lady cena ay is basically that in this group she's the lady in to takumi then you have nanami nishiju
03:05she's basically takumi's younger sister she's a very annoying little brat that just likes to constantly
03:11nag him because she wants him to be better and such is like the i can fix him kind of type and she's
03:17pretty much annoying as fuck and she also has powers but she's also not really it gets really weird
03:28because they also tend to play into it and such you know what i'm talking about if you saw the show
03:35then there's ayase kishimoto she had the more interesting act out of all the characters in the
03:41show the one that stood out to me the most although the bow isn't really that tight to begin with but i
03:46actually liked her background the most okay she's from this band group called phantom and a lot of
03:53the lyrics in the songs have been connected to the new gen murders more on that later and she also
03:59refused to have vows as well a gay glomaniac and she can do a lot of stuff with it that is
04:08sort of like really weird okay and then you have kozui orihara she is like this small little shy girl
04:16apparently she can't really talk to people but she can like talk to them in their head like
04:22um somehow some sort of like telepathy sting and it's it's very weird because
04:29it they're like it explained as she's too shy to talk to them physically but she talks in their head
04:36which is stupid explanation but it is what it is then you have yuna koso nuki
04:46she had the most interesting introduction in the show because they introduce her as a sort of like shy
04:56girl that was like into takumi and being into his hobbies of anime stuff and they want to go to the
05:04store together and that kind of stuff pretty much a otaku um wet dream right it's it was basically that
05:13and then reveals like a sort of twist where she's actually you know an undercover agent or something
05:20and she's like investigating him and she basically claims that oh he has a sort of like identity disorder
05:25and he's actually the culprit and all the other stuff and this is probably where the show peak
05:31for me because they had this sort of like you know very intriguing but not fully sold murder mystery
05:39premise and this is we're gonna get into the story right but this is where they peak because from here
05:46they sort of dropped the ball completely and went in a different direction but i mean that's pretty much
05:51it for like the the characters so far there's a lot of side characters here and there but i don't
05:56really give a shit about talking about them because this show was so goddamn awful and here's why
06:05like i like i mentioned the murder mystery the stats of the mc in his trick thingy
06:10he's hallucinating his girlfriend a lot of their times and he's a possible schizophrenic he's talking
06:15about his bud on his side as they talk about stuff and mentioned the new gen murders that i briefly
06:22mentioned then you have him out at night and he sees this murder happening right in front of him
06:27right he sees a girl before losing his shirt and then fleeing the crime scene now what happens initially
06:32is he sees his suspect of the crime apparently that's connected to a series of murders called new
06:37gen murders because he got picked up by the cameras in the air but this is where it gets interesting
06:43it shows him being the culprit because he's holding the object in his hand and he has it in his trailer
06:49thingy where he keeps all his anime shit that i talked about then you have this guy messaging him
06:54online about what happens showing the photos and then this girl shows up being his friend and into anime and
07:00this is where the show was slipping from right the girl i was talking about they presented
07:07has been into him for quite a bit despite having no redeemable qualities whatsoever so the view wasn't
07:13really all that surprising to begin with but then it shows her presenting all of these investigating stuff
07:19to prove that tacky is a culprit and you have this disorder and well the murder part the dude is
07:26basically a have this sort of like identity disorder right he's mentally strange now this is where this
07:33show basically slipped off for me because the premise while rocky was still interesting there's these
07:39murders taking place and all these hints i learned to the main character being the culprit and you have
07:45this guy messaging him and you know all of this stuff has been painted as him being a loser schizophrenic otaku who's
07:55pretty much you know it's like a psychological crime thriller essentially and that was actually a really
08:06good angle to go in the problem i have however is the show abandons at angle and goes full rpg adventure
08:13like in the next few episodes hell they even made up a whole term for it called gigomaniacs which is
08:19basically megalomaniacs on steroids meaning they can actually see and real swords and do otherworldly
08:27shit and the show even went through this whole sciency thingy to explain it and make it realistically
08:33possible or convincing like how stansgate use the whole sciency stuff to explain the concept of time
08:40travel being used in the story so they could convince you that time travel was actually possible
08:47with him time with the microwave it's like that here but the thing is here the concept of gigomaniacs
08:54is so absurd nonsensical and it all comes off as it all comes off as plot armor especially given how
09:02it's portrayed through the rest of the show and then you get towards the finale the third act where it's
09:08literally fully adventure rpg and all the tropes so you have to save the girl defeat the bad guy using his
09:16powers and at that point i was completely clocked out right i was just waiting for end i was just
09:24waiting for it to end at that point it just seemed so out of place unrealistic given where it started
09:32it just didn't mesh properly like it didn't transition properly and it didn't feel like it was
09:38earned right it felt like it was two different ideas crammed into one and not nearly enough runtime to
09:44properly flesh it out and justify it that is what it felt like to me
09:51now with now with that all the way on to chaos child this is a supposedly the the spiritual successor to
10:01chaos head except it's presented as a sequel because it takes place after the events of chaos head and they
10:11do it in the sense that they it's like a loose retread like they go through bits of what happened like
10:17you know the earthquake that happened in chaos head they sort of revisit some of those elements briefly
10:24and then they sort of like introduce new characters right you have the new gen murders you have these sumo
10:30stickers which is like a new thing going on and then it is more psychological in chaos child i would give them that but
10:42at this point i was just so basically clocked out of all of this that i just basically gave up right because
10:49chaos head was already disappointing to me and here it's like the same shit as chaos head but it's
10:59even worse because they they basically introduced a new set of characters and they want you to get
11:05invested in these new characters while they sort of loosely tread from the first one that pretty much
11:14ended and at that point i was just like bruh this shit is ass so yeah at that point i was just waiting
11:24for the anime to end so i can just talk the shit about it that's pretty much it actually when it
11:30came to chaos child you know i mean i would definitely not recommend you watch this because
11:37it it does the same problem that working did if you remember the anime working they run you through
11:45these characters for like a good while and you get to know them and understand them and whatever
11:53until all of a sudden you have this next season job with a new set of casts and a new set of stuff
12:01but it's sort of like very similar to the first all right but it's like a new set of stuff and it's
12:08you're basically starting around square one at that point and it's just not nearly as interesting
12:15here however chaos child suffers a lot more because chaos head is just that much disappointing
12:24i mean like unlike working way nowhere the first few seasons of working was actually okay-ish this
12:35is just basically should i mean i can't really sum it up in any other way than just say that it should
12:41because at least times gate had a lot of episodes to flesh out and properly build its story up
12:48so you can get into it here is just like this this thing that they start off with this murder mystery
12:56and it's paralleled into this whole adventure uh pretty stuff and it's not nearly enough runtime
13:04or even the sort of um finesse to properly make it interesting enough for me
13:11so yeah overall that's pretty much it's there for the story guys i know the animation it's okay
13:19the voice acting it's average the soundtrack is actually i'll actually like the soundtrack
13:28and yeah outside that this like the technical stuff it's it's it's okay that's like that's not even the
13:37problem it's just the story the meat of this show the story all of that is disappointing and then you
13:46have chaos child just pretty much absolute dumpster fire definitely would not recommend okay like this is
13:54definitely two thumbs down all right but that's just my opinion however guys let me know what you think
14:01in the comment section down below chaos child chaos head you know what do you guys like it do you hate it
14:07do you think it's underrated or misunderstood let me know in the comment section down below what
