00:15hey guys welcome back to in the paris once again this is your host and today we're going to be

00:21doing yet another anime review now i know exactly where this one would fit in um it's more of a

00:32slice of life school life type anime that i have even though it's placed in the harm section of

00:39where i found it on the internet i don't know i mean the internet tends to be pretty all over the

00:46place when it comes to these anime forms you know i mean they really need to update some of their

00:53information but today i'm going to be reviewing hagini or hagini however you pronounce it it's

01:00basically about this character named kodaka hasekawa now he's a transfer student right from

01:08the transfer to this academy and he's like this old loner because of his like appearance whatever

01:16he doesn't look like a type of person that people want to be friends with you know so his profile

01:23from the start although you know the way he gives off his first impression didn't really help him either

01:30um now what happens that he's the main guy the whole story pulls around to introduce you to this next

01:38character named yozora well i don't know mispronounce last name so i'm gonna stick with the first name

01:46yozora and she ends up i would say having a bad first impression on him as well

01:56what happens though is that when you realize how the two characters are

02:03they're not really the best at socializing so they decide to start this friendship club where they can

02:16you know make friends and socialize the only catch is that the club is for people who don't really have

02:25any friends so popular kids and such aren't really allowed in it is more for them to you know

02:36basically i'd say it's more like their sanctuary they created now you have this other character

02:43because cena she however is attractive and she's a sort of idolized girl who's seen as this the popular

02:53kid right now the thing is even though all the guys flaunt after her and she teases all them over

03:02she actually has no female friends because of the way um how she's viewed in the classroom

03:09you know all they were kind of like i would say jealous of her so she decides to actually join

03:17this um club because she wanted actual friends okay so they decided to let her in although it was

03:25some scuffle there then you also have this next character called yuki mua now she is

03:34and this other character who had a pretty interesting take i would say um but she idolizes kolaka and she

03:45wants to be like him and whatever he is like the mentor to her in a way and yes there is an interesting

03:55way how they do that but i don't know the spoiler thing if you guys want to watch it and then you have

04:00mika this one is the brains of the group right they're sort of like scientists but she's also a

04:08scientist that's kind of crazy in the head you know just to put it lightly then you have kobatolo

04:17this is kolaka's little sister who is like he likes to cosplay as a vampire you know she's like the little

04:26girl that he looks over and then you have maria she is this also this little girl around the same age and

04:33size as kobatolo except she is a nun who is basically the club's advisor you know and she is like the

04:43rival for kobatolo because you know kobatolo is a vampire and we have been a nun with a pretty

04:50found out thanks to her sister you know um so those are like the characters the main characters

04:58that the show focuses on or probably the only characters the show focuses on and the story

05:05goes around these characters and you know as they go in a club and they do various um activities and

05:13and all this other stuff right and to be honest i actually did this anime a lot you know um the writing

05:26is actually pretty good the characters actually done pretty well i think they managed to um you know bring

05:37out their personalities and all that stuff pretty well you know um they're not they don't feel like

05:44very wooden characters or low personality much in our opinion um there are certain things that the

05:52anime does bounce around however um that is probably a biggest problem i have with this anime overall

06:03to tell you which i'll get to in a second but for the most part the anime actually does pretty good

06:12you know um when it comes to the spiciness media it's it's more on the low side right this anime it's

06:22i would say this anime tries to be more realistic in a way let's try it actually focuses more on the story

06:30and the relationship between the characters rather than all these weird moments

06:38over the top stuff so it's a more tamed stuff right and it's it actually works much to the show's

06:47advantage you know being more focused on character and relationships the plot is actually built up pretty

06:56well in my opinion um i will say so there's two seasons in the anime the first season is done better

07:08than the second season which to be honest i can't really complain that seems to be the general consensus

07:16for probably nine out of ten animes at this point if not maybe all animes that have been made

07:22at this point in time the first seasons are obviously going to be better than the second and third seasons

07:31if they ever get any but the second season is still pretty good too in a short sense um the thing is

07:38when you get to the second season the anime tends to get a bit more on the in the character relationships

07:46i guess a bit more serious um particularly between kodaka and yosura you know it there's i don't really want to go much in

07:59to that side of the um plot because it is spoiler territory

08:06but there are certain things that are revealed and it also ends up affecting you know

08:13the whole group overall the interesting thing though actually the strongest aspect this anime does

08:20is that it really manages to show all of them being um imperfect in a way even though they're all different

08:32in their own ways they all have the same struggle when it comes to like socializing with

08:37people and making their own friends you know and that's been the main topic the main point throughout

08:46the show it actually makes a lot of interesting moments and also a lot of really weird moments too

08:55um nothing like really over the top um it's more sort of your common

09:02stuff that you would expect with characters in white situations when it comes to anime now on to the

09:10main problem i have with this anime but there's actually two of them the first being

09:17the the writing now i know how early i said that the writing wasn't really all that bad and i said it's

09:26actually good what i've come to realize that after reading the manga and even going to check out the novel

09:37i started getting it different from all of this anime you know i started realizing the story was different you know

09:47there was stuff in it that would change up

09:51now i'm not really opposed to the whole thing when comes to that because the majority of anime that i

10:00made these days tend to change up stuff from the manga and the novel or whatever visual novel

10:08or game that it's been adapted from all of them tends to do something different when they get up into anime

10:16the problem here is that this anime the it stops at season two right hagani and hagani next it stops at

10:27the end of season two but there's actually more story beyond season two which is in the manga and yes the book

10:39you know the novel with the novel being the most i would say the more accurate

10:46um telling of the story and the characters although the manga does come close enough

10:53in its own way

10:55now you guys know me this is called anime review because it's about the anime right it's not manga or novel review

11:03otherwise i would have actually been doing a separate video talking about that

11:07so i can only review this based on the anime and since the anime stops at hagani next

11:13you know it kind of ends in a cliffhanger according to the anime even though the full story is already out

11:20i can only review it more based on the perspective of the anime although if you guys want to

11:25check out the whole story get the whole meat of the story you'll have to check out the novel and the manga

11:34but if i'm reading it on the anime i'd say it holds you know if you can look past the cliffhanger ending

11:40because of the story and the the studio not making the season three which there are a lot of rumors that

11:47they're going to make a season two but i haven't seen anything that points in that direction as of yet

11:53because this have been out since 2014 which is seven years at this point and if it's been that long and

12:02no season three it's probably likely to not happen at all you know but i just keep an open mind if it

12:13comes out i'll probably adjust my review accordingly but so far i'll say it's it's a little bit above average

12:23um mostly for the technical aspects the animations quality for this is actually really good even though

12:33i prefer the art style from the manga you know because the characters actually look grandly different

12:42than how you do in the anime like noticeably different the animation was actually pretty good

12:49in terms of its quality you know some really good sharp colorful visuals in the animation the sound

12:56track was pretty good i'd say it's done very well which you know it's a common thing with these

13:06enemies they they usually do good by the soundtrack you know the most compared to all the aspects

13:14the voice acting is also pretty good i think they had some pretty good voice actors you know for this um

13:22dub version so yeah um if you guys want to watch it there is a dub so you don't have to worry about that

13:29um overall

13:33i mean no guys um after reading the whole story you know i'm actually getting the actual ending

13:42and i feel sort of like incomplete doing this review so i'm gonna do a review on the

13:51actual manga novel in another video but for now i'm just gonna lead off the anime and say the anime is

13:58good it's slightly above average um good great quality um the storytelling it it would work so what they

14:09have you know with the change that they made and such i can see some of the change that they made

14:16you know given the fact that this is an anime it's television so i can understand it i would say

14:24it's worth recommending you know for the quality but for the story get the manga and the novel for the

14:33story but if you want to watch an anime yeah you can watch this this is actually pretty good you know

14:39it's just that don't expect anything like really big or grand when it comes to this you know um it's

14:47more grounded with more character and story driven so that's the the downsides to uh and depending on

14:56you guys like your anime but to me i'm more open so i don't mind watching these types

15:02but yeah i put a thumbs up my review overall hagani um it's an okay anime it's worth a watch at least

15:13but that's just my opinion on the anime guys um let me know what you think in the comment section down
