00:00hey guys welcome back to the past once again this is your host the game and today's video
00:06gonna be doing another anime review all right now today i'm gonna be talking about an anime i'm sure
00:13a lot of you guys probably haven't heard about before okay now this one now i will be honest i
00:20did have to wait a while on this you know after watching it just to like feel my thoughts out and
00:28trying to figure out like how my verdict on this is right because this isn't your typical
00:36anime well you know like in that sense but it's a very different one the way it's told the way
00:47it feels and it's very sometimes very worth talking about okay today i'm gonna be talking about
00:54erased right now this is it basically follows the the main guy sato that's his name sato fujinuma
01:03i think i butchered that a guy who's living in chiba he possesses ability known as revival
01:11this is some um magic or some power like that that sends it back in time to moments before like
01:19like some situation or something incident happens giving him like you know the like the ability to
01:26prevent from happening again right and they portrayed that very interesting right but the main thing is
01:36you know his mom ends up getting murdered by um some assailant in his own home
01:40and the way this frames and what happens is he gets framed for because he's at the crime scene
01:50when you know the cops arrive you know that whole typical thing where you know the guy he's at the
01:56crime scene and the cops blame him because he's there it's basically that's what happens to him but
02:01his ability sent him back into the past 18 years into the past where he's given an opportunity not only save
02:10his mom but prevent a kidnapping incident that took the lives of two um kids back in his childhood
02:20right and this is where the show actually gets really interesting and happening here you have this
02:27whole situation going on with this main guy right he's like your average guy in typical anime fashion right
02:35you know he is working his job he's doing this stuff and he's describing like this thing that he has
02:43where you know he can see things before it happens and then this stuff happens and he gets pulled into
02:49the past where this whole stuff happened and it's like this big um adventure like in a sense but
02:56it's not like dark tale because you know it's with kids right because he goes back to his childhood
03:04and you know there's kids who are being like killed or whatever and he has to try to prevent that from
03:09happening and it's like this whole series of events that goes on and it gets really really interesting
03:16the more and more you and go into the show the more interesting it gets and it's done really well
03:22um although the problem i will say though is that the way the story told when you go into the you know
03:28the past i know it cuts into the present and whatnot like the way what it's been told that said it
03:34does get a bit confusing at them if you're not you know well versed and pay attention to the details
03:41and that's not something easy to get lost in like the way that it's been structured like it's not a
03:48typical like uh you know back in time storyline story that has been told right yeah but um quick
03:59thing here the characters right the main guy you have that the story sent it on is sato fujinuma
04:06right he's a main guy in the show who you know works at this place and then he ends up going back into
04:16the past and to prevent this lecture the incident right the story is basically on him
04:23the next one you have is kaio inazuki she is one of the primary school classmates and one of the original
04:34victims of this um charge that happened back in the past where he goes back into right
04:42uh there's also satchiko fujinuma she is his mom who gets killed at the beginning this isn't really
04:48much of a spoiler in a sense because that was like right at the beginning of the um the show right
04:54but the interesting thing about her when you go back into the past while she's still alive
04:59she has the ability to like um you know it's not really like an ability sense but she's like very
05:06um aware of her surroundings you know so yeah um there's also kenner kobai yashi i'm not really
05:16good to pronounce your name so if i butcher them don't hold it to me but yeah he is another of sato's
05:25uh school classmates from way back then you know when it goes into the past right and he's the one
05:34who's like the mature of the group when they were kids there's a gaku yashu yeah a homo teacher and
05:42apparently the closest thing he has to a father figure he wrote me sugita another one of his uh prime
05:49school classmates he's also one of the victims of the serial kidnapping case as well right there's also
05:57samu kazoo you know and these other characters as well um yeah now the interesting thing in the story
06:08as really goes into the past is that he's reliving his uh childhood memories but with the like the full
06:17set of what's to happen and what she has to do is try and think choose memories or think choices around
06:25them to try and figure out okay what's going to happen here and how can i prevent it you know like
06:33especially when it comes to like the main girl he's trying to prevent the guy you know she's uh
06:39has like this family trouble drama but she's being abused and he wants to try and like help her and
06:45search you know all this stuff is going on and the day is coming you know because the day with the
06:51incident actually happens right so he's taken back to before the day of the incident so he has time to
06:59like prevent the incident itself from happening and it's like a whole build up to that where he's like
07:06trying to fail how to prevent this and though he has to do like a bit of investigative stuff and remember
07:13he's doing this as a kid living his past even though he has like the mind or the you know the intuition
07:21of his um adult self uh that's the interesting part about seeing that sort of perspective you know and
07:32seeing how it plays out but that wasn't really like the hell of a show for me because
07:37it throughout the whole show it seeing things because it did get kind of uh like redundant and
07:47started dragging a little bit but it really magic pick itself up towards the ending you know third act
07:53where you get to see like the big reveal although if you will pay attention it's not really that big of a
07:59reveal because you tend to like see it coming in terms of like the corporate you know who killed
08:04um what and that's so like they do put hints in there to make it um you know aware um not completely obvious
08:16but it does become obvious once you're um like you have knowledge of like this type of genre you know
08:27in terms of investigative um who done it type stories yeah but it's it's not going to be that
08:35obvious to you if you're like saying a normie or something that's watching this but yeah in the third
08:41act we had the whole situation that comes out of it and this is a very spoiler-ish content so i'm gonna try
08:49and like not spoil it because it's very it's done very well and i do recommend you guys actually
08:56watch it but yeah the whole situation they wrapped it up in the end but they wrapped up in a way where
09:06it's like okay it wasn't the end but you get a sense of like you know where those are leading to
09:15and how it all plays out and it's like the whole thing with the culprit the main culprit is
09:21the end up margin to one of them even though he was um very like in particular in his planning he ends
09:34up getting one up in the show but the interesting thing is the way how it plays out you know like
09:41guys and them they were very well worth in how they match the situation right and it's the same kids
09:50from the um past right you see them all grown up and it's very very um well done execution i'll give them
10:02props to that now i don't want to get too much into detail at all because i might give away some spoilers
10:10right but so i'll just leave it as that for now what i will say though before i watch this anime
10:17in fact the main reason why i came across the anime is because i actually saw a piece of the ending
10:22but it was like out of context in a sense right so it sort of like threw me off a little bit
10:30but it got me interested in actually watching the show so i will give it credit for that uh but i wasn't
10:35actually completely spoiler i just saw like something happen in the ending and i was like okay i'm gonna
10:40check it out and i was like damn okay so yeah um yeah overall looking at it from the story it actually
10:50this was a very well done story um you know about a tragedy and you know how this guy managed to
11:00and things around and all sort of stuff and it was done very well it's something i would actually
11:06recommend people checking out um even if they're not really into this sort of like
11:11style type right because this is more i would say it's part slice of life part thriller in a sense
11:20and it's totally in a way that you're not really used to like there's no anime tropes
11:27or any of that sort of like stuff that's overwritten in anime these days
11:31and it's very refreshing because this is an anime from 2016. you know it's not an old anime it's in
11:38the current um anime reality of today that's overweight not all these tropes and it's not really
11:48any tropes in this anime you know outside the fact that the main guy you know they portray him as
11:54your average guy with a job whatever who happens to have this sort of ability but that's not really
12:01much of a true but you get what i'm saying like in terms of like the character personality tropes
12:06they're not really that much overdone here okay now in terms of the technical stuff the
12:14animation quality first is actually really really well done the art style it's very good you know
12:22the directing is actually very good it's done in a like mature way it's not like like this high octane
12:30way that you know you'd seen like some anime try to make it more um i would say fast-paced and all
12:37that stuff to like you know appeal to like the audience more it's it's not like that it's actually
12:43very mature it's it takes its time and also to the detriment it does sort of like drags but for the
12:50most part it it's well um at work the way it's told the voice acting for this i'd say the dub it's
13:02it's okay and it's nothing like to take home about in a sense but you know the voice actors they do a
13:08pretty decent job of what they have so yeah well i pretty much sums it up there for like um anime
13:15waste you know it's a very good anime in fact it's an underrated one you know like these type of stories
13:25you don't really see other animes like this popping up you know well you don't really have like a lot
13:31of people talking about it so it's always very pleasant when you actually get to see one and
13:36that's actually really good it's worth talking about and it definitely deserves more people watching
13:42it and it definitely deserves to be recommended and not a bigger audience right but that's just
13:49my opinion however though and let me know what you guys think in the comment section down below on
