00:01Previously on Project Runway All Stars...
00:03Your challenge is to create a modern runway look
00:07for a classic female character in literature.
00:10It's like a dream come true.
00:12I am a spunky, punky sprite with a bad attitude.
00:15I am Tinkerbell.
00:17I am Rapunzel.
00:18Oh, no!
00:19I'm Cinderella.
00:20So cute!
00:21Modernize it, fresh and hot.
00:23I'll think about that.
00:24I've seen you do the same thing many times.
00:26I think you need to try something a little bit different.
00:29Okay.
00:30It feels good.
00:31Finish is my one thing for you.
00:32Yeah.
00:33Go, Sam, go.
00:34If you want to get shut down again.
00:35Oh!
00:36I'll just keep shutting you down on the runway.
00:38Oh!
00:39I don't really give a if Keeney doesn't like me.
00:46I would take this from you right now
00:48and put it on one of my clients.
00:50She looks fresh.
00:51She looks young.
00:52She has a sense of regal about her.
00:55The winner of this week's challenge is...
00:58Asha.
00:59Oh, my God.
01:00It's a lack of taste there.
01:03I think it's that print that just sort of feels a little TJ Maxx.
01:07The back of the dress is so off-putting and the neckline is so sort of like tacky.
01:12Okay.
01:13The designer eliminated tonight is...
01:16Alexander.
01:17Damn.
01:18This is Project Runway All-Stars.
01:29It's so nice out.
01:30Alyssa has asked to meet us at Coney Island.
01:33And I hope it has something to do with riding roller coasters because I love roller coasters.
01:37Oh, no!
01:38Baseball!
01:39Yes!
01:40Baseball!
01:41We wind up at the Cyclone Stadium, which is really cool.
01:45I love baseball.
01:46Baseball.
01:47Oh, my gosh!
01:52Those are our models.
01:54We see Alyssa.
01:55And we see our model standing behind her.
01:57I really don't know what to expect.
02:00Good morning, designers.
02:01Good morning.
02:02Welcome to the home of the Brooklyn Cyclones.
02:05Eight years ago, I was at a baseball game and I went into the team shop to look for something
02:11cute to wear, to fly the team colors, and I couldn't find anything.
02:15And so I created this clothing line called Touch by Alyssa Milano.
02:18And almost 10 years later, Touch is the only female sports licensing brand to hold the licenses
02:24for all the major sports leagues.
02:26Our unique design approach is making clothes that not only fly the team colors, but are also
02:32made with quality fabrics that are feminine, have beautiful flattering silhouettes, and are
02:39right up there with what's on trend in high-end fashion.
02:42Today, we've set up a pop-up satellite store for you to see pieces of the Touch collection.
02:48And they are inspiration for this week's challenge.
02:51Touch is looking to redefine the popular world of athleisure wear.
02:56Athleisure is like elevated streetwear.
02:58It's like leather jogging pants with heels, and it's taking it to a heightened level to where you could
03:04wear it out somewhere nice.
03:06We want you to create a high-end athleisure look that women can wear from the running
03:12runway, to the game, to dinner even.
03:15Something a woman could look and feel great in.
03:18Finally, an athleisure challenge.
03:20I'm so tired of creating these long gowns and stuff, so I think it should be a dope challenge.
03:25The winning design will be modified, manufactured, and sold as part of the Alyssa Milano Touch Collection.
03:32Her line touch is huge. It's a huge deal.
03:36We have look books and garments for you to view before you sketch.
03:40One day in the workroom, and I cannot wait to see what you come up with on the runway.
03:45Good luck. Have fun with this one.
03:49Bye.
03:50Woo.
03:51I see pretty.
03:53Is there hoodies too?
03:54Alyssa.
03:55Alyssa's touch line is absolutely fabulous.
03:58I automatically think that I want to do a play on baseball uniforms.
04:03I want to make a skirt that has the classic lines of a man's baseball jersey.
04:10And I want to make a crop top that is a play on a woman's sports bra.
04:17Oh, the switcher's adorable.
04:19I'm thinking of doing this really cute, stiff circle skirt.
04:24Sort of, almost, like, cheerleader-esque, but it has these, like, baseball details.
04:29Let's go off and sketch.
04:30Yep.
04:31All right.
04:32Let's do it.
04:33This is a cool challenge.
04:38Sam, obviously, has an upper hand in this challenge because he makes really great athleisure.
04:43I also think that Liana has a good chance at this challenge because a lot of the outfits
04:47she's been wearing are from her own collection and they're totally, like, heightened, elevated
04:52athleisure wear.
04:54I'm so excited about this challenge.
04:56I want to make a pair of pants and these pants will be the star of my show.
05:05I immediately think of a cool rework for taking the basic white tee and then changing it all up.
05:12I'm slashing it down the middle.
05:14I'm changing up the neckline.
05:16I'm sketching a coat and the coat can go from day to evening.
05:23Designers, sketching is over.
05:26Time to go to mood.
05:33All right, guys, 30 minutes.
05:37I get this white lace material.
05:39I'm going to use it as the focal point of my garment.
05:42It's going to be the hood.
05:43I have it in white and black, and I'm going to play with a little color blocking.
05:50I see a lot of people in the same section.
05:52Liana and I, even Sam, was in the same section pulling neoprene.
05:56I really want to do, like, that wing sleeve dress, and I'm thinking of doing two lengths so it could be knee length and then have a snappable, removable piece that makes it midi length so she can go to dinner.
06:13I really need to find snaps to achieve this, like, breakaway piece, and I need a lot of them.
06:21So, one day, five minutes!
06:27Wait, I got to go get my fabric.
06:28Got to get my fabric.
06:29I'll be right back.
06:33Nice mesh.
06:34Looks real familiar.
06:38Of course.
06:39Sam is going to use mesh.
06:40He used it in the first challenge, the last challenge, but he got knocked down by the judges last week for construction and how to work with mesh.
06:49I got mesh, too, so maybe I can show you how it's really done.
06:54Thank you!
06:55Bye!
06:56Bye!
06:57Bye!
07:06I want to get this pattern done as quickly as possible so I can cut this out and start playing with the placement of the polka dot and how it's going to lay on her shoulders.
07:18How dope is this?
07:19Oh, my God, where'd you get those?
07:21Bubble Bar has headphones?
07:22Yeah, cool.
07:26Oh, my God.
07:28Yeah, wish me luck, guys, because I have to do that 40 times.
07:32Making the pants is the most challenging part of my look.
07:36They're going to be divided in 10 panels in each leg, and as I'm doing this seaming work, they shrink.
07:43But as I'm cutting the panels and I'm realizing how much more allowance I have to leave, oh, my God, I might not have enough fabric.
07:51Do you like it?
07:52Yes.
07:53Love it.
07:54Yes.
07:55I think Liana is going to be competition in this challenge because she really loves athleisure almost as much as I do, but I want my dress in Alyssa Milano's touchline, so you know what, girl? Bring it on.
08:06Is everyone doing blue?
08:13Blue and red.
08:15A lot of the designers have the same colors.
08:19I don't know how that happened.
08:20They all just grab the same roll of fabric.
08:23I better hope they make these things look different or it's going to be like five of the same things walking down the runway, and I don't know if they're going to be happy about that.
08:30This is going to be the most monotone right away.
08:33I want to put the lace as the sleeve detail and as the back.
08:44This is what I do.
08:46If I don't at least end up on the top on this challenge, I might as well go home.
08:52Did you know he bought the same fabric?
08:57Yeah, yeah.
08:58That's weird.
08:59You guys have the same fabric?
09:01Yeah.
09:02Pretty much.
09:03I think Keeney got this material so he can upstage that bull crap that Sam put on the runway last week.
09:09I guess it's a battle of the mesh fabric.
09:11I'm going to bet my money on you.
09:16Coming up on Project Runway All Stars.
09:18App?
09:19Ledger.
09:20Don't keep adding on just for the sake of adding on.
09:23He just got really aggravated.
09:26Oh, my God.
09:28I'm done.
09:29That's not good.
09:39Stay up to how many sections do you?
09:41Oh, my God.
09:42I still have so much to do.
09:44I think Leona's look is going to be awesome.
09:46The pants are incredible.
09:48The fitting will be crucial.
09:56Did anybody buy red thread?
09:58No.
09:59I forget to buy damn thread.
10:01At this point of the competition, you can't make any mistakes.
10:05But I have a lot of little things to do.
10:07So if I don't manage time correctly, it could sneak up on me.
10:13Everyone's so quiet.
10:15I actually have two people that I think is in trouble.
10:17First, Sam.
10:18It just looks like a cocktail dress.
10:20It doesn't look athleisure at all.
10:22And Leona.
10:23I know she works so hard on that pant.
10:26But from afar, it just looks like a pair of sweatpants.
10:30I expected more from her.
10:31Hi, designers.
10:32Hi.
10:33Hi.
10:34Hi.
10:35A pleasure wear is one of the biggest trends happening in the fashion industry today.
10:41Let's get started.
10:42Sam, you're first.
10:43Let's go.
10:44What are you doing?
10:45So I wanted to incorporate this mesh that I had found for last challenge because it's just...
10:50I was going to say, I've seen this before.
10:51Right.
10:52Sam's look, I think he kind of missed the mark on this one.
10:54The circle skirt silhouette is like super basic.
10:57And the fabric choices are off.
11:00This to me is two different dresses.
11:02App.
11:03Leisure.
11:04Right.
11:05It has to be molded into the same look, obviously.
11:09Hi, Zanna.
11:10Congratulations.
11:12Two wins.
11:13My biggest takeaway from last challenge is to push myself.
11:16And I really appreciate you pushing me and telling me to finish everything.
11:19Tell me about this skirt.
11:21It's going to use those classic lines from a baseball jersey.
11:23This skirt is fantastic.
11:25It's high end and still fashion, but it's still got an essence of the sporting world,
11:29which is exactly what athleisure is.
11:31I'm doing jeans.
11:32Of course.
11:33A jacket.
11:34The sleeves is going to be one print and then I want it to be mesh on one side, dark on
11:38one side.
11:39I love Kinney's jacket.
11:40I'm very surprised.
11:41It's very different than what I have seen Kinney do.
11:44You're mistaking athleisure to be sporty Leisure.
11:49Okay.
11:50Figure out the shape of this coat.
11:52Okay.
11:53With the denim.
11:54Okay.
11:55I really love baseball.
11:56I'm a huge baseball fan.
11:57I'm doing this, like, kind of turtleneck dress that's going to be convertible.
12:01Mm-hmm.
12:02So I'm attaching, like, a separate panel on the bottom that she'll be able to unsnap,
12:06so it can be a short dress.
12:08So she snaps it on for a more elegant evening out.
12:10Exactly.
12:11Nice.
12:12I love how it's basically plain in the front and very sophisticated and all of the life
12:17and excitement is in the back of the dress.
12:19This is unique.
12:20Cool.
12:21This is the fabric and then I'm just sewing the seam allowance outside, like, one-eighth of
12:25an inch and then spacing it.
12:27Wow.
12:28That's a lot of work.
12:29Yeah, it is.
12:30I feel it may be going a little bit too much down the sporty, kind of, into the gym.
12:35I'm going to keep away from the fitness, more into this runway look.
12:39Yes.
12:40What made you choose red, black, and white?
12:42I don't know any sports and I figure red, black, and white was somebody's team.
12:47What I'm doing is adding a pipe and detail like I did here in the back of the hood.
12:52Mm-hmm.
12:53I like it.
12:54I was thinking about creating a bell sleeve just to add a little drama for the runway.
13:01Not necessary.
13:02Don't need it.
13:03I don't think so.
13:04Just don't keep adding on just for the sake of adding on.
13:07I'm doing sort of a spin-off of, like, the racerback, like, white tee kind of thing.
13:13This, to me, feels a little bit lady lunches, not athleisure.
13:19Zanna's not really that into the way I did the cowl neck.
13:22I'm thinking I can change the neckline so that it's not so dressy.
13:26Good luck.
13:28Designers, being safe is great when it comes to baseball, but not when it comes to Project Runway All-Stars.
13:35Think big.
13:36You can do it, guys.
13:37Let's rally.
13:48Zanna says I have to make this lace look more athletic, so I am looking into ways as to, like,
13:56how I can make it look more graphic.
13:59Ugh.
14:00Oh, look at you guys.
14:01Hi.
14:02Hi.
14:03Hey, Shanna.
14:05I'm so happy.
14:06There's still some pins in there, so be super careful.
14:10Okay, yeah, that's perfect.
14:12It fits her really nice, and I think that this will be really cool as long as I get everything done.
14:17I, like, want this prize more than any other prize that we've had.
14:20Yeah.
14:21I immediately start cutting the dress because it is really, really long, and I want it to
14:25be that sporty, cute length, like, that you would maybe have on, like, a tennis dress.
14:30Yes.
14:31The jeans fit my model perfectly.
14:33She loves the fit, and she actually says that she would buy this pair of jeans.
14:36As you see, I don't have anything for you to try on right now, so I need for you to trust
14:40me for tomorrow, and I'm gonna fit you on tomorrow.
14:43Everything's been taking so much time with the piping detail.
14:46All I have to try on her is a hood and headphones from the Barber Bar jewelry wall.
14:52Well, I have to go, so I need to finish sewing.
14:55Just trust me.
14:56I trust you.
14:57Bye.
14:59I'll see you in the morning.
15:04I'm not sure if I'm going to have time to do the same treatment in the back of the pants.
15:09I have no time to waste.
15:11Imagine I wanted to do the whole thing.
15:14No way.
15:15I think I'm the only person that didn't have anything to try on my model.
15:19I'm having issues with my garment, and it's not working out exactly how I want it to work out.
15:24Honestly, I'm very pissed off and frustrated.
15:30Did you change your mind?
15:32Did you change your mind?
15:33I'm serious.
15:36We'll discuss it later.
15:37I just realized that I sewed my shoulder seams incorrectly, so I need to rip them out.
15:42I'm just checking.
15:44He's very emotional when he designs, and you can just see it in his face.
15:48He just got really aggravated.
15:51I'm not that fond of my work, and I'm very frustrated.
15:54I can feel the water boiling, and it's about to get ready and just explode everywhere.
16:05I'm going to take my ass home.
16:07I'm so frustrated with myself.
16:10I'm done.
16:11He left.
16:12He left.
16:13Like, literally left.
16:14I have no idea where Ken is.
16:15I am worried.
16:16That's not good.
16:18I hope Ken didn't just quit.
16:20I'm going to take my ass home.
16:21I'm leaving this competition.
16:22I'm done.
16:23He left.
16:24Like, literally left.
16:25That's not good.
16:26I hope Ken didn't just quit.
16:27Do we seriously not have any idea where he is?
16:28Like, at all?
16:29Ken is just such a diva.
16:30If he had hair, he'd be, like, flipping it all over the place.
16:32We all know it.
16:33It's that cool.
16:34All right, guys.
16:3530 minutes left.
16:36Hurry up.
16:37Hurry up.
16:38Hardly, you know.
16:39Cut.
16:40Th-$%&.
16:41I don't know what that looks like and go to Python.
16:42I hope Ken didn't just quit.
16:43Do we seriously not have any idea where he is?
16:46Like, at all?
16:47Ken is just such a diva.
16:48If he had hair, he'd be, like, flipping it all over the place.
16:51We all know it.
16:52It's that cool.
16:54All right, guys.
16:5730 minutes left.
16:58Hurry up.
16:59Hurry up.
17:07I'm a little worried if Ken is coming back or not
17:10because he offered to give me his white leather
17:13and I really want to use it for my top.
17:16And I hope he's okay too.
17:18All right guys, that's time.
17:20It's been a long day.
17:23Come on, Emily.
17:24Emily.
17:29It's the morning of the runway.
17:31We're walking into the work room and Ken isn't there.
17:35That's not good.
17:36We haven't seen him since last night when he left,
17:39so we don't know what's happening.
17:41Back to work, back to work.
17:43We're all worried though, so it's just,
17:45we don't know what to do, but work.
17:48We're all worried though, so it's just,
17:50we don't know what to do, but work.
17:59Ken.
18:00Ken.
18:01What's up?
18:02Hey.
18:03Ken.
18:04Lilia.
18:05I got a lot of work to do in these two hours.
18:06Ken walks in and all is well with the universe.
18:10You okay?
18:11Yeah, I'm fine.
18:12Are you going to use your leather?
18:14No, you want it?
18:15Can I use it?
18:17Oh yeah, I went shopping at my table when I was gone.
18:20No.
18:22Yeah.
18:23It's like it never happened.
18:25Last night, I was getting very frustrated.
18:27I'm glad you went and did what you had to do,
18:29and I'm glad your ass is back.
18:31I did not want to take my frustration out on anyone
18:33in the workroom, so I needed to separate myself.
18:36No, I just needed to free my head.
18:38Yeah.
18:39Free your mind.
18:41But after a good night's sleep,
18:42I'm at a better place right now,
18:43so I need to get back to work.
18:45I couldn't leave on this outfit.
18:46I think it's kick ass.
18:47I think it's kick ass too.
18:49I'm two hours behind.
18:50My garment is still in pieces.
18:52My red dress is not made or draped or anything at this point.
18:56I got a lot of to sell.
18:59Hi.
19:00Hey.
19:01I need to freaking win.
19:03Everyone except me and Liana has won.
19:05Just go up.
19:09Perfect, perfect.
19:11Liana, those pants look so good.
19:14I feel great with my pants,
19:16but as I'm looking at the pants with the top,
19:18I just think the top is too casual.
19:20I don't really like it.
19:22No, I'm having second tops.
19:25I decided to make a whole new top.
19:28I noticed Liana draping a top and then taking it off
19:33and then draping another top.
19:35To start questioning your look the morning of the runway,
19:37I feel like is a kiss of death.
19:40Ready to go to Schwarzkopf hair studio?
19:41Yeah, let's do it.
19:42Yeah, let's do it.
19:44I'm thinking we just give her a really sleek pony,
19:47like right here.
19:48Super clean, sporty, shiny.
19:50Exactly.
19:51I was thinking it'd be cool to do like fishtail braids
19:53and then big and messy.
19:55I want a high ponytail.
19:57Uh-huh.
19:58To the side with a curl.
19:59And what better girl to do it than her?
20:01Right, right.
20:02I mean, she looks like the perfect girl.
20:06I want it to look really relaxed,
20:08but with a little drama in her eyes.
20:10Super defined eyebrows.
20:12Gorgeous.
20:13Maybe like eyeshadow, but like really blended.
20:15So I'd love to do something that's like fresh,
20:17but still like sporty looking.
20:19And a nude face and a strong bra.
20:21Love it.
20:25It looks wearable to like more,
20:28like it can be sold, you know?
20:30It's not like far fetched.
20:31I love, love, love my look.
20:33It's wearable and it's sellable
20:34and it totally fits the challenge.
20:36Keeney's jacket is gorgeous
20:37and I would wear it,
20:38but the things underneath
20:39are things that you can buy
20:40for like $5 at Kmart.
20:42Like, Keeney has got to learn
20:44that sometimes you just have to
20:45put down the denim.
20:46And then like,
20:47you know,
20:48you know,
20:49you know,
20:50you know,
20:51you know,
20:52you know,
20:53you know,
20:54and then like...
20:58I think I like this better.
21:00Yeah.
21:01Because I feel like the other one
21:02looks too much like a t-shirt.
21:04Mm-hmm.
21:05With the new top,
21:06it's exactly what I wanted.
21:07I'm like beaming with joy
21:08that I made the right decision.
21:10And then from the Chinese laundry shoe wall,
21:13I see these really cute flats
21:15that have like some kind of like weaving pattern
21:17and I think they complement my look very well.
21:19Very, very cute.
21:21My model looks freaking adorable.
21:24She looks like she just won Wimbledon.
21:26So I really couldn't be happier.
21:29I don't feel like Sam's look is athleisure.
21:33He created an A-line dress
21:35that a 10-year-old creates
21:37when she first gets her pink sewing machine
21:39for Christmas.
21:40Oh, yeah.
21:41It's gonna look cute with sneakers too.
21:42Yeah.
21:43It's basic bitch
21:44and the flats
21:45that he's been doing week after week
21:47is a kiss ass to Isaac
21:49because he know Isaac likes flats.
21:51All right, you guys.
21:52Five minutes.
21:58I need a pin.
21:59Straight pin.
22:00Straight pin.
22:01It's five minutes before the runway.
22:02I tried my garment on my model
22:03and it's missing something.
22:04It felt like it wasn't enough black in my design
22:07so I'm gonna create a black pocket.
22:09All right.
22:10Hustle up.
22:11Yeah.
22:13Super cute.
22:14I love it.
22:15Yay!
22:16You're like a new age baseball referee.
22:20Yeah.
22:21But like fashionable.
22:22I think Dom's look,
22:23she's a chic kind of girl.
22:26This girl would never eat hot dogs and popcorn
22:28and drink a beer in public.
22:30No.
22:31She looks like she just shows up
22:32and drinks water.
22:33Ken, that was so quick.
22:35Yeah.
22:36That was insane how fast he just did it.
22:38The sucky thing about Ken's look
22:39is that he left and unfortunately he just didn't
22:42have enough time to edit.
22:43All right, you guys.
22:44That's time.
22:45Let's go to runway.
22:46Whew.
22:47Right in the nick of time.
22:48All right, let's go.
22:53Coming up on Project Runway All Stars.
22:55It's beautiful for a cocktail party.
22:58Okay.
22:59I would wear that to a game.
23:00This is athleisure for Georgina.
23:02This girl loves that dress, honey.
23:05Thank you, Miss Isaac.
23:06Misses.
23:08The winner of Project Runway All Stars
23:10will receive the opportunity to design an exclusive line
23:13of jewelry for bobblebar.com.
23:15The final say in fashion jewelry.
23:18A capsule footwear collection by Chinese Laundry.
23:21A fashion spread in Marie Claire in a position at the magazine
23:24as contributing editor.
23:26From Brother Sewing and Embroidery.
23:28A complete sewing studio to launch their line.
23:31And to elevate their business and build their brand,
23:34a cash prize of $100,000.
23:37Hi, designers.
23:42Hi.
23:43Hi.
23:44So this week we asked you to create high-end athleisure wear
23:48inspired by my Touch by Alyssa Milano collection
23:51that female sports fans can wear on the runway,
23:54to a game, or to dinner.
23:56Let's meet tonight's judges.
23:58First, co-founder and designer of Marquesa,
24:01Georgina Chapman.
24:02Hi, designers.
24:03Hi, Georgina.
24:04Next, one of the most iconic names in American fashion,
24:08Isaac Mizrahi.
24:11Go team.
24:15Our guest judge this week has turned her love of fashion
24:18into a thriving business.
24:20Her latest shoe collection is a collaboration with our very
24:23own Chinese Laundry.
24:25And she's equally at home at a fashion show or on the
24:28sidelines of the football field cheering on her husband,
24:31Chicago Bears quarterback, Jay Cutler.
24:34Please welcome Kristen Cavallari.
24:36Woo-hoo!
24:39I am offering a prize for this week's challenge.
24:42The winning designer's look will be modified, manufactured,
24:46and sold as part of my line.
24:48So I'm really hoping you knock it out of the park.
24:51Good luck.
24:53I think she looks great.
25:02There's a lot of movement in the top.
25:04Oh, the top is so pretty.
25:06She looks really comfortable and casual, but she still looks
25:11dressed up.
25:19It's so different for me to do ready-to-wear with no drama in it.
25:24I am excited.
25:25I think she totally fits the challenge.
25:27She looks rich.
25:28She looks athleisure.
25:30It looks like a winner to me.
25:41This is really athleisure couture.
25:49I am in love with it.
25:50Like, that skirt is so cute and so fresh and so bouncy.
25:56Ooh, that's cute.
25:57Ooh.
26:02It's very cute.
26:03My look, she's a little more downtown than the girl I normally dress.
26:08That girl could not afford courtside tickets.
26:12She sits way, way, way, way up in the seats.
26:23Those pants are awesome.
26:25She looks so cool.
26:26She really looks very high-fashion athleisure.
26:29I'm so happy because my biggest fear was that the details were not going to show on the runway, but they do.
26:36I would wear that.
26:37I would wear it, too.
26:38I would wear it, too.
26:39I love my look.
26:40I think it looks very sophisticated.
26:41She's fun.
26:42I love the surprise that you get in the back when she turns.
26:43I love my look.
26:44I'm so happy.
26:45My model looks really, like, sporty and badass and cool.
26:49I think that it's perfect translation to athleisure.
26:50It's heightened streetwear.
26:52It's heightened streetwear.
26:53It's heightened streetwear.
26:54I love my look.
26:55I'm so happy.
26:56My model looks really, like, sporty and badass and cool.
27:00I think that it's perfect translation to athleisure.
27:14It's heightened streetwear.
27:21This week, there is only one safe designer.
27:26Emily, you're safe.
27:28You can leave the runway.
27:29Bye.
27:30Bye.
27:31Designers, one of you is the winner this week, and one of you will be going home tonight.
27:40Ken, tell us about your athleisure wear design.
27:49So I wanted to design something for my girl who was actually going to a basketball game for the Chicago Bulls.
27:55I'm not a big sports person, but things I have gone to, it's extremely hot.
27:59So I definitely wanted to do no sleeves.
28:01I wanted to make something that was versatile.
28:03It could be worn with jeans, with a dress, et cetera, et cetera.
28:06I love that it's sleeveless.
28:08It's so smart.
28:09But I would have loved to have seen it without the pockets.
28:12I'm such a fan of yours, Ken.
28:14I really am.
28:15But today, I never in a million years would have guessed that was your look.
28:20There's something about the proportion of this that's really throwing me.
28:24And the skirt is such a moderate length.
28:27It's not giving me anything, really.
28:30Well, I have to say, I sort of like the simplicity of it.
28:34And I actually live in Chicago, and I could see a million girls wearing this at a Bulls game.
28:38You could see a million girls, or you do see a million girls?
28:41I could.
28:42I've seen a million girls looking at this.
28:43I could.
28:44Okay.
28:45I was kind of excited about the idea of elevating the thing to like a new level.
28:49Stuff that we haven't seen.
28:51She has that stuff already, you know?
28:54And she didn't pay very much for it.
28:56All right.
28:57Hi, Dom.
28:58Tell us about your athleisure wear.
28:59I'm a huge Phillies fan.
29:01So I was thinking of something to wear maybe around spring training, because it's still
29:05really cold outside.
29:06Also, to bring it from game to dinner, I added a detachable bottom.
29:11So that comes on and off?
29:12Mm-hmm.
29:13I'm going to turn while I rip.
29:15How clever are you to put on a piece to make it longer or shorter?
29:18Yeah.
29:19This is brilliant and very thoughtful.
29:22I actually like it better without the additional skirt at the bottom.
29:26Otherwise, I think it's beautiful.
29:27Can you put the skirt back together, please?
29:29This might take a second.
29:30It's something fun to do in the bathroom.
29:33Maybe a zipper.
29:35Okay.
29:36I love the dress at that length, I think.
29:39Because the line of it, the drama of it is so fabulous.
29:42And the way you've kind of treated us to this illusion back.
29:45It's everything.
29:46I love the back.
29:47And you're so good at putting fabrics together.
29:50And I think that's what really makes you so unique.
29:53It's such an editorial piece.
29:54I can't imagine anybody wouldn't want to photograph it.
29:56Okay.
29:57Keeney, you're up next.
29:59So for me, taking athleisure, I wanted to create separates.
30:02I wanted to do just a simple top with a little detailing at the shoulder.
30:06But then I wanted to create an evening jacket to go on top of that.
30:09The jacket is so smart and so creative.
30:11It's perfect for a sporting event, but you could wear this anywhere, really.
30:15Can you spin around, please?
30:16I love that it's pleated in the back so it gives it a little bit more fashion-forward feeling.
30:21It's so chic.
30:22And I love the splash of color that you've thrown in.
30:25And the proportion of the jean is really great with the length that you've cropped it to the bottom.
30:29The only thing I'm questioning is something about the crutch, to me, feels a bit long.
30:34It made it a little, it's like a baggy boyfriend jean.
30:37Yeah.
30:38Hey Keeney, I just love your versatility.
30:40I think that's amazing that you could make all those dresses that we've seen and then this.
30:44And it's still the same designer and you're doing a great job.
30:48Hi, Liana.
30:49Hi.
30:50Tell us about your athleisure wear look.
30:52I don't know anything about baseball.
30:54But I think when you go to a baseball game, you want to like go crazy and cheer.
30:58So I wanted to make sure I gave her something that was comfortable and just really cool and fashionable at the same time.
31:04So I wanted to like create some really awesome over the top leggings.
31:09So I did a bunch of panelings and then I sewed the seam allowance outside to create like the texture.
31:16I can't believe you made all those leggings.
31:18I can't believe you did a good finish.
31:21I love these leggings, but I think that they would be better with some sort of like a cropped jersey or a cropped t-shirt.
31:27Or something like that.
31:29I like the leggings, but I don't really feel they're right with this ensemble, you know.
31:34I like the idea of this play on a sports bra, but in a very expensive sort of leather way.
31:40But the styling together doesn't sit to me.
31:43I don't think it's game wear.
31:45I wonder if it would be a little bit sportier if the top wasn't black and white.
31:50I think maybe it's the proportion of the top.
31:52The legging is not the most flattering.
31:54Having that top so cropped and with all those lines, you're making the leg look very big.
31:59Asha, tell us about your athleisure wear design.
32:02For my look, I kind of wanted to do a play on a woman's sports bra for my crop top.
32:07And for the skirt, a play on a men's baseball uniform tee.
32:11I think you've done a really wonderful job.
32:13The one thing that I don't love as much is those buttons down the front of your skirt.
32:18But I'm English, so I don't know much about baseball, but they do have buttons down the front of it.
32:22So I do understand why you did that, but it feels very young.
32:26I, like Georgina, agree with the buttons for sure on the front of the skirt, but it is a really clever skirt.
32:32So kind of ergonomic, you know?
32:34I love that that skirt looks like a jersey.
32:36My only criticism is I want to see it with more of like a casual t-shirt rather than a sports bra-looking thing.
32:43I think together it just becomes a little too over the top.
32:46Thank you so much.
32:47Hello, Sam. Tell us about your athleisure wear look.
32:50I generally think that like athleisure can go really high fashion.
32:54So I decided to make this like super feminine dress using neoprene and mesh and then like just a touch of lace to like give it that juxtaposition.
33:02I think this dress is gorgeous. The silhouette, the lace details on the sleeves, it's all beautiful for a cocktail party.
33:11I just don't think it's appropriate for a game.
33:13I'm going to go with Kristen on this.
33:14If I showed up to a game in this dress, I would be ridiculed from top to bottom.
33:22This girl loves that dress, honey.
33:25And the way she's styled, perfection. She's not in heels. That is the girl. Fresh as a daisy.
33:30Thank you, Miss Isaac.
33:33Misses.
33:35You know, I would wear that to a game because that's what I do and I wouldn't give a crap.
33:41It's a little conservative for you for a game, I would think.
33:44It probably is. It probably is.
33:45Maybe a little fur trim.
33:46Feathers.
33:47Feathers.
33:48This is athleisure for Georgina too.
33:52I think it's great to make a statement on this catwalk. You haven't wavered from who you are as a designer.
33:58The one thing that I don't think I love is the blue. I think maybe perhaps because I'm seeing it underneath a little bit, that's just not my favorite part of the dress.
34:07Thank you to all the designers. We're going to deliberate. Please take a seat in the backstage lounge and we will call you back soon.
34:14Thank you. You can leave the runway.
34:20Hi.
34:21Hi.
34:22So tell me everything.
34:23That was an interesting runway.
34:24I'm not sure who's top and top.
34:25No, as usual, I'm in the bottom.
34:28But they really love what you did on those pants.
34:30Yeah.
34:31What did they say about your look?
34:32Isaac and Georgina did not like it whatsoever.
34:36On the flip side of that, Kristen and Alyssa were like, who would ever wear that to a baseball game? And Georgina was like, hey.
34:44Yeah.
34:46Like, I'm down with that.
34:48What about yours, Kenny?
34:49On top.
34:50Oh, good.
34:51I loved my look.
34:52They were just like nitpicking though. It was like to the point where it was so good that they were just like, oh, but this was good and blah, blah, blah.
34:58That was really exciting for me to see.
35:03I love the idea of blurring the lines between any other clothes and sports clothes.
35:09Let's talk about the looks that we like the most. Let's start with Dom.
35:14I just think she's so clever, Dom.
35:16To me, it looked like a sort of take on a 20s tennis dress.
35:19Really, very, very, very good.
35:21The newness of it, the bat wing, the kind of like shapeless yet kind of bodiness of it.
35:27See, I think Dom's dress was a little too high fashion for sporting events.
35:31I just felt like it was a fashion take on athleisure wear.
35:34I did too.
35:35Even though you wouldn't necessarily see a girl in that at a game, I'd like to think that if they saw that something else was available to them, that they'd be interested in it and say, oh, that's a different way to fly my team colors.
35:48Asha.
35:49I mean, I thought her take on baseball was very clever. She incorporated the mesh and she had the athletic lines, which I love.
35:54I love the idea of the skirt, but I felt like it was very, um, gimmicky because of this little sports bra.
36:01Buttons kind of made it gimmicky too.
36:03It felt so young.
36:04But I will say between last week and this week, like, we're not through with Asha.
36:08Yeah, she's definitely come into her own. She has.
36:14Let's talk about jeanies.
36:16That was amazing.
36:17That coat was just brilliant.
36:19That was great.
36:20I really feel like he got the challenge.
36:21The jeans lost me a bit. There was something about the shape of those jeans that...
36:25I think the jacket was so great, though. I didn't even really look at the jeans. It was more just about the jacket.
36:30And also there's plenty of room for, like, successful branding on that thing.
36:33Absolutely.
36:34Plenty of room.
36:38Let's talk about the least successful looks.
36:40Ken lost his way.
36:42It looked like a costume to me from a movie.
36:44I felt like there were a lot of good elements that just didn't necessarily work as a whole.
36:49I didn't think there were any good elements, I have to be honest.
36:51Oh, see, I actually think there's such an audience for this.
36:54If he had the mass market in mind designing this, he hit a home run.
36:58I think it's playing to the lowest common denominator in that case. Do you know what I mean?
37:01It's not elevating a person in the mass market.
37:04It's just giving her exactly what she wants and I'm not a fan of that.
37:11Let's talk about Liana.
37:13She tried to put in so many ideas into this look to try and impress us.
37:18And it was like a visual overload and it ended up just being terribly unflattering and complicated.
37:23Yes, it looked so disparate.
37:26How much better would this have been with a white shirt under this little...
37:29The best. It would have been the best.
37:30Exactly.
37:31Because the leggings are great.
37:32The leggings are great.
37:33The leggings really are amazing.
37:34But with the top, it was kind of a mess.
37:35I think she's a very talented designer, but I think she's been in the bottom so many times now.
37:44Let's talk about Sam.
37:45It was my favorite dress of the day.
37:46To me, with the challenge being so specific, I felt like it was almost a slap in the face.
37:52Where he was like, okay, I get the challenge, but I'm still gonna do what I do.
37:56And I'm just gonna do it in a sporty neoprene.
37:58When you look at this dress, I love the idea that he just did it, but it's a very simple dress.
38:04And not particularly masterfully executed.
38:07We all believe in Sam, but he has to start pulling it together a little bit more.
38:15I think we've made our decision.
38:19Okay, let's get them back out here.
38:23Designers, one of you is the winner of this week's challenge, and one of you will be eliminated tonight.
38:29Dom, Keeney, and Asha, you received the highest scores of the week.
38:42But only one of you will have your look manufactured and sold as part of my touchline.
38:48Asha, you're safe this week.
38:50Thank you so much.
38:52You can leave the runway.
38:53Dom, and Keeney, I'll be working with one of you to manufacture and sell your look.
39:03The winning designer is...
39:08Keeney!
39:10Really?
39:12Yes, really.
39:14I can't wait to work with you.
39:17And you also did an amazing job.
39:19Me too.
39:21See you next week.
39:22Congratulations.
39:25Yay!
39:26I'm so happy.
39:27Hey!
39:28I won!
39:29Yay!
39:30Finally!
39:31Yay!
39:32Yay!
39:33Yay!
39:34I planned on making it this far.
39:35Congrats!
39:36How do you feel?
39:37I love it!
39:38Oh my God!
39:39I finally won!
39:40But my goal is ultimately, of course, to win this whole thing.
39:45Sam, you had a low score, but you are safe.
39:49You can leave the runway.
39:52Which leaves Leana and Ken.
39:55Leana, you presented an interesting high concept look, but overall it was disjointed.
40:02In fact, you delivered too many ideas.
40:04We're not sure you've found your voice as an all-star.
40:08Ken, you have a great eye and a very specific point of view, but we just didn't see it tonight.
40:14You may have found it hard to relate, but an all-star should be able to adapt and deliver in any challenge.
40:23The designer eliminated tonight is...
40:25Leana.
40:26And that means, Ken, you remain in the competition.
40:27You can leave the runway.
40:28Leana, thank you for joining us on all-stars.
40:30Thank you so much for all your feedback.
40:31It was awesome.
40:32Nice to meet you.
40:33Bye, Leana.
40:34Bye, Leana.
40:35Bye, Leana.
40:36You're so great.
40:37I feel sad because I think it wasn't really my time to go.
40:40Hey, Leana.
40:41Oh, my.
40:42Oh, my.
40:43Ugh.
40:44Being in all-stars, it's so great because, you know, it's validation that you were an amazing designer.
40:45You did awesome work this whole time, you know.
40:46Yeah.
40:47Yeah.
40:48Oh, my.
40:49Oh, my.
40:50Oh, my.
40:51Oh, my.
40:52Oh, my.
40:53Oh, my.
40:54Oh, my.
40:55Oh, my.
40:56Oh, my.
40:57Oh, my.
40:58Oh, my.
40:59Oh, my.
41:00Oh, my.
41:01Oh, my.
