00:04Sabrina tells her aunt's dinner was delicious.
00:07Zelda wonders if she made her lima beans vanish.
00:10Eventually she casts a spell to bring back any lima beans Sabrina got rid of,
00:15which makes a huge amount of them rain on them.
00:18Why couldn't Sabrina have just warped the beans into her stomach instead?
00:23Sabrina's told to look at Mars with a telescope for their skiing vacation.
00:28As for why the witches are skiing on Mars and not a normal place,
00:32it's for the sake of novelty value to them, and Hilda said the sky was pretty there.
00:37And obviously it wouldn't be beyond their power to summon a small, breathable atmosphere
00:43that's held there by magical gravity in a certain place.
00:47And to cast a cloaking spell so that mortals can't see what's going on.
00:53Sabrina assumes there's Martians, and thankfully she's told that of course there aren't any.
00:59Which is better writing than in a later comic.
01:02Harvey ends up telling Sabrina he wanted to hang out with her, so she's disappointed.
01:07Because she can't.
01:08She doesn't even know how to ski.
01:10So it wasn't the best idea to force her to go with them.
01:14Because they should have known she'd rather be with Harvey.
01:17She could literally ski anytime.
01:20She's a witch.
01:22Sabrina has a good point.
01:24Why don't they let her stay here?
01:26They can warp to her to check on her whenever they want.
01:29She already proved she was responsible when she insisted on doing her homework when she was with Vesta.
01:34Harvey shows up at Sabrina, so she says her aunts were about to take naps causing them to leave because they're nice parents.
01:41Harvey gives Sabrina something to keep her from losing her mittens.
01:46Sabrina says she could call him tonight, and he says have a great trip.
01:51She says thanks again, and he says you're welcome.
01:55And they shake hands for the second time that day.
01:58They go to a lodge made of ice, and it turns out at the end of a season it gets a little slutchy.
02:04That's Kara put into the writing.
02:07It's also got a mini volcano to look at for the spectacle.
02:11Harold is not here to ski.
02:14Sabrina wonders where the family part of the vacation is going to start at least, and she says she thought Sabrina would want to hang out with people her age.
02:23She's told that Mars is so far ahead of time on Earth that it's still yesterday there, so if she calls Harvey he'll explode.
02:31That's not how it works.
02:33Why did she lie to her?
02:35She should have said the cost of calling him long distance would either be too expensive or cost too much magic for her.
02:41Sabrina likes the look of a guy who Zelda arranged to give her a skiing lesson.
02:46So far this is written no differently than another typical boring skiing resort story.
02:52What is Hilda think just saying for once two strangers meeting at a ski resort being completely honest with each other would cause a suspicious guy at the phone earlier to tell her the truth?
03:03He says it's a secret agent.
03:05He says it's a secret agent.
03:06The only interesting thing about this, Sabrina gets a spell cast on her and gets told it's a short lesson but expensive.
03:12It shouldn't be expensive because if Sabrina can cast his spell to become a karate master without knowing karate.
03:20She could do this to herself too.
03:23She was obviously only going to the lesson to learn for real, so he wouldn't do this.
03:29Somehow, despite the lesson spell, the teacher goes ahead of Sabrina so fast that she can't keep up as well.
03:36There's a scene of Hilda getting told secret agent stories, which makes me wonder if he's making them up to impress her like she thought he'd do.
03:44But I'm also wondering if the guy who uses magic to teach Sabrina to play a game is the bad guys after him.
03:50They turn the lodge into a disco at night.
03:53If he thinks it's cheesy, why does this happen anyway?
03:56Why show Harvey waiting for Sabrina to call him?
03:59It's needlessly depressing and we were already told she can't call Harvey.
04:04So I was supposed to believe she was planning to call him anyways even though she got told he'd explode,
04:09but forgot because she had so much fun dancing with someone she just met.
04:14Sabrina's called by Salem, who was unnecessarily shown taking Harvey's message earlier.
04:19She feels bad because she forgot to call Harvey, who doesn't explode from being called.
04:25So either Hilda was lying, or it's fine to call him at a specific time of the day.
04:30Harvey's still nice to her on the phone call.
04:33And when he says he got shirts, she says she can't wait.
04:37Sabrina says she spent a long time calling Zelda's name.
04:49She goes to Zelda for advice on whether to cheat on Harvey.
04:54Zelda goes from saying she's gonna meet a lot of boys in her life anyway,
04:58to saying it's bad to cheat on Harvey like Sabrina wants because relationships are harder when you have to hide something.
05:04Sabrina had gone from worried about what she should do as if she really didn't want to hurt Harvey,
05:09to happily pointing out that Harvey would never find out anyways.
05:13Still, it's taking a risk to go on a date with this guy, who tells her to smile for the Mars probe.
05:19And somehow they're happy about it instead of scared that a mortal would get footage of witches breathing perfectly fine on Mars with no explanation.
05:28I'm sure the Mars probe would've gotten info about the fact that that's breathable in this specific part of Mars.
05:35So this shouldn't have been a reference if we were supposed to assume this was just like our universe but with witches.
05:41Instead, scientists know Mars was magically made breathable by witches here, something they'd know was scientifically impossible.
05:48You'd think that witches getting seen by the Mars rover would require a spell to be cast to erase the evidence.
05:54I guess they expected one of the witches monitoring them to do that for them.
05:58And any mortal who saw it would assume he was hallucinating.
06:02It has to be that the witches who go here get a spell cast on them so that the robots whose lives aren't affected by it.
06:09To the point where even though they breathed out a habit still, they don't need to.
06:13Sabrina says she doesn't want his arm around her on the date, and despite that, he still tries to kiss Sabrina.
06:20And yet someone like him is perfectly polite about being turned down, and they part ways shaking hands while agreeing to be friends.
06:28Hilda ends up being told to give him his phone number.
06:31And at first he gives her a dangerous pen.
06:34What doesn't he know better than to give her that pen?
06:37He gets covered in a tractor beam and sends his doctor to Cyclops who might remove his brain,
06:42and instead of warping away, he gets sent away.
06:45That was too dark.
06:47Hilda wishes she gave him a real number, as if she can't warp him to her whenever she wants,
06:54and effortlessly save him from what looks like certain doom.
06:58Why would they just assume that whoever kidnapped him made him immune to magic?
07:04So even though Zelda's sarcastic believing her annoyed her,
07:08she still believed her that he was lying and made sure he wouldn't get to talk to her again.
07:13Anyways, why would a warlock be scared of a Dr. Cyclops tractor beam him away?
07:19A witch Cyclops would just give himself two eyes.
07:24Harvey goes to visit Sabrina, who says that going out with another guy made her realize that she actually likes him better.
07:30All that comes out of this is that Harvey tells her politely that the next time this happens,
07:36Don't tell him.
07:37The story ends with the guy Hilda wanted to date nervously offering life insurance to surgeons,
07:43before shocking them and laughing evilly.
07:46So why didn't he shock them right away?
07:48I'm surprised I got resolution to this.
07:51Dr. Cyclops was a moron for cackling with witches, and he doesn't belong in the show unless he's one too.
07:58And logically, he would be if he already knows about this resort.
08:02Why didn't the Witch's Council do anything about him?
08:05I guess he doesn't have any plans that they'd oppose.
08:08As long as the witch isn't planning to overthrow a government, they don't care.
08:12They should have just brought back Professor Pither instead of using Dr. Cyclops out of nowhere.
08:18This story by Nell Scovell again was just a boringly mundane cliche story about what tends to happen when a pretty girl with a boyfriend goes to a ski resort without him.
08:29The only thing trying to shake it up is that Hilda's dating a secret agent looking for someone with access to a tractor beam who wants to remove his brain,
08:37which is frustratingly never explained.
08:40Makes me wonder if it was written because even the writer realized that the story was boring.
08:45And none of that belongs in a sitcom about witches.
08:49Even comic Sabrina's considered other guys before without even thinking of Harvey.
08:54Like the one who can carry his head around.
08:57So the fact that she worried about Harvey made it weird that she went on a date.
09:02It had a good message that if you cheat, you might feel bad about having another secret to keep.
09:07But it was another insultingly obvious message anyway.
09:10But that is the faintest complaint I can give a message in a story.
