03:16Brought to you by the Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago.
03:19Brought to you by the Bankers Association of Trinidad and Tobago.
03:20And, of course, our global viewers.
03:22It's Friday.
03:23It's the end of the week.
03:24I'm sure a lot of you were waiting for this day, of course, to unwind and so on.
03:28And I know we are also nearing the Bowerday celebrations carded into today, Saturday and Sunday as well.
03:39And of course today with us, no stranger, Corporal Derek Chabody of the St. James Police Youth Club.
03:46Welcome sir, how are you?
03:47Blessings to you and yours and to you.
03:49All is well, April 20th is no more and over 500,000 people came out in their numbers and voted.
03:58We want to salute them.
04:00We want to appreciate the fact that our international visitors give us an A.
04:05They said that by viewing, we did very well and they want us, you know, comment on that.
04:10And I want to personally commend, you know, all those who came out and, you know, exercised their franchise.
04:16It is excellent.
04:17And as a police officer, those who were performing duty, we walked from 2.30 a.m.
04:23We had to report to the station.
04:26After reporting to the station, we had briefing at 4.45 a.m.
04:30And at 5 a.m., everybody was paraded and dispatched at their respective schools, et cetera, et cetera.
04:37And we were reminded the importance of the ballot box.
04:40We were reminded the importance of congregating and offenses that, you know, pertains to election.
04:44But we were thankful that the people made our work very easy.
04:48You know, I want to salute Central Division.
04:50I was posted in Central.
04:52I had breakfast.
04:54I had coffee and so on.
04:56I also had lunch and dinner.
04:58The officers were well treated.
04:59It's not a case where they were posted.
05:01You know, Mr. Meister visited us.
05:03We had a lot of visits.
05:04We were reminded about being alert.
05:066 a.m. is not easy, you know.
05:08And then after 6 p.m., you have to supervise the count.
05:13After supervising the count, as a senior person, you have to make sure that the ballot box is conveyed properly.
05:20It's election boundaries.
05:21Yes.
05:21And then we tell the inspector ASV, say, you're relieved.
05:25So it was a long, so I just want to serve all my colleagues who came out in their numbers and really ensure that we had an excellent election.
05:35And to all the law-in-law-in-law-in-law citizens, we must commend them.
05:38You know, when you look at elections all over the world, it's something else.
05:41But Trinidad and Tobago need to take a bow.
05:45You know, we want to commend them for exercising their franchise.
05:48And democracy is alive and well.
05:51And we are indeed grateful that you made all law enforcement officers work very easy on the 28th.
05:57All right.
05:58Well, as we speak about, you know, democracy and freeness and fairness, we want to wish all our colleagues across the world and here in Trinidad and Tobago,
06:07Happy World Press Freedom Day.
06:10Definitely, you know, the media has a very important role and function here in Trinidad and Tobago and across, of course, across the world as being the watchdogs to ensure that those in authority, those in power are held accountable if and when things go wrong.
06:29Yes, I can start to commend and salute the press, what the press has done in terms of educating, keeping us informed, asking hard questions.
06:40You know, doing special investigations and so on.
06:45You know, we have to commend them.
06:46The press keeps everything alive, keeps things on the button.
06:50And when you, again, when you look at international news and you see where the press is, sometimes bomb taking place and these men are there reporting, storm, hurricane, and they're right there in the center.
07:01Listen to me.
07:02It is not something that you have to sign up for, something that you, you know, is part of you, something that you like, something that is all part of the system.
07:10So I just want to piggyback on your utterance and I want to also commend our press, the media house in Trinidad, the regional and also international, who keep us informed and, by example, keep us in touch in terms of what's going on at an international level.
07:26We're going to salute them.
07:27Yes, certainly.
07:29And, of course, you know, as I said, you know, happy will freedom, will press freedom to all my colleagues here in Trinidad and Tobago.
07:36And as we talk about, you know, safety, security, we're dealing with, you know, a very large festival or celebration this weekend in the Point Forte area, the Point Forte, Borrow Day, 45th anniversary celebrations, a number of things carded over the next couple of days.
07:57And I know you would probably want to just, you know, convey a message to those who are heading down there tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday.
08:05Yeah, well, certainly for those who are going on to Point Forte, to make a point, make a positive point.
08:12You know, police are out there and they're ready for you.
08:15Your vehicles must be in order.
08:17You know, make sure and have your documentation.
08:19You know, we want to tell all those who are into illegal activities, if you feel that you can go and disrupt, you know, a festival, think twice, think a third time.
08:30If you're not wanted, please stay away where you don't belong.
08:35It is not helpful.
08:37And we want to alert people who are also attending and are driving on the black carpet.
08:41I've heard about some unfortunate incidents in the past about people not being familiar with the road, it's not well-led.
08:46You know, we lost a DJ on 96.1 a year ago.
08:52Yes, I recall.
08:52We're very unfortunate, right, and we want to tell people, take their time on the black carpet, you follow?
08:58Also, if you see something, say something.
09:00You're seeing people moving through, you're seeing the elements, alert the police.
09:04Defense force personnel will be out in their numbers.
09:07And they're there to make sure that the Point Forte in Borough is a safe one.
09:11And therefore, you too must act as a good police officer and work in concert with those who want to make sure that you are a safe and enjoyable point.
09:23I went a few times, well, and I've enjoyed really nice people.
09:26You know, they're very accommodating.
09:27Some people are like that.
09:28Oh, God, listen to me.
09:30They give you the room, the bedroom, they tell you, go ahead.
09:33Yeah, that's how we are.
09:34We are some people.
09:35Oh, yes.
09:36Yeah, some people.
09:36Oh, excuse me.
09:37I apologize.
09:38Sorry.
09:38Yeah, yeah.
09:39Honestly, when you go down south, Fernando, all the way down to the deep south, it's really a different kind of feeling.
09:46The people, when they embrace you, good food, good times, good laughter, and so on.
09:51And of course, I know the police will also be out in full force there to ensure that persons have a really good time.
09:57Yes, and for those who are playing a music truck and vehicle, make sure that licensing has, you know, put you in order.
10:03So that if you are challenged by the law enforcement, you will reproduce.
10:07It's all in a bid to make sure that we are safe and raw abiding.
10:12My wife's family lives in Point.
10:14So when I go down there, I have the luxury of enjoying.
10:17So I just want to salute all Point people who open their doors and their hospitality is absolutely second thing.
10:23And we salute you and we thank you very much for making this China Vigo a beautiful place.
10:28All right.
10:28Okay, let's take a look now at our headlines.
10:31Let's take a look now at our headlines.
10:31¶¶
11:01So those are some of the headlines within the last 24 hours.
11:05And just looking back there, we saw police make significant dent in extortion incident.
11:11Really a situation where a police officer who was charged and brought before a magic master,
11:19Indira Chanebas, at the Coover Masters Court on May 1st, 2025, sorry, yesterday,
11:26he was charged with two counts of demanding money by menaces, kidnapping, robbery, and one count of larceny.
11:33He was granted bail with charity in the sum of $650,000.
11:38So certainly this is a message that if you think that you can be somebody in law enforcement
11:46that want to carry about in a criminal way,
11:53you will be found out and you will be dealt with.
11:56And I think the victim would have made the initial report.
11:59Reading on in the press release, it was actually two separate incidents.
12:05And it is good to see that, you know, it is difficult at times when you have to go and arrest your own colleague.
12:12And we know we have the Professional Standards Bureau that usually is in charge of investigating these errant officers.
12:17And they are brought before the courts to face some pretty serious charges.
12:22Well, we must commend Assistant Commissioner Smith and the Anti-Extortion Unit.
12:27They are doing good work.
12:28You know, sometimes you form a unit and you don't hear about them.
12:31And we know Mr. Smith is a man, I mean, they say he's police.
12:34He knows his police work, he knows, and he's out there and he makes sure that.
12:39And while it's unfortunate, it is a good thing that we send public, message to the public,
12:44that extortion doesn't confine to members of the public only.
12:48Even our own colleagues, bad actors, would be made to account and have the day in court.
12:54But it is a sad day, my son.
13:00Unfortunately, as an officer, I'm telling you, you know, but when the public, you have to build trust and build confidence.
13:07And it takes this, then fine, because people are looking on.
13:11And we want to commend those who would have bring evidence and even the gentleman, you know,
13:16who would have said, nah, I'm not taking this.
13:18You know, and went further, because some people remain quiet.
13:21Some people, they feel violated, some people are intimidated, and they go further.
13:25And this is an excellent case that we can make a statement to, that we were saying,
13:30even officers, errant officers, will be made to account.
13:34Extortion is extortion across the board, as not just for members of the public.
13:40Yes, and hats off to the Anti-Extortion Unit under ACP Smith, of course,
13:46resulting in the arrest of this police constable based in Coover, you know.
13:52So, we've been talking about Point Forte, Point Forte Borrow Day celebrations,
13:58and in the midst of this really sad story, this morning unfolding in the Point Forte area,
14:04a Coast Guard officer, shot and killed in a robbery, 36-year-old D.C. and John of La Resource Road in Arima,
14:15shot and killed during a robbery, while seated in his motor vehicle along Cassier Street in Point Forte,
14:20around 1.15 this morning.
14:23He was with a group of friends, reportedly, when three armed men came up to the car
14:28and demanded money and other valuables, and shortly thereafter, there was a couple of gunshots heard.
14:39Mr. John was rushed to the nearest Point Forte hospital, where I believe he succumbed to his injuries.
14:46Yes, I want to convey my condolences to my, he's a colleague too, I mean, with a police, army, Coast Guard,
14:53he's part of law enforcement, that's right, so I want to convey my condolences.
14:57I don't know the facts in terms of whether he's a father of two, whatever,
15:01but certainly would have left some family behind, and it's unfortunate.
15:04You know, the elemental surprise is something else.
15:06All how, you know, to know how to push in your car, how to,
15:09you don't know when these people will attack you, they'll monitor you, you know,
15:13it's very, very unfortunate, and then I understand, based on the report,
15:17that his firearm was also relieved.
15:19Yes, yes, correct.
15:20So that also speaks that, you know, these fellas, they know the particular individual,
15:25you know, and times have changed, and therefore, even as we attempt to socialise, engage, and interact,
15:33we need to be very selective in where we go and the places we go, you know,
15:37how the vehicle is positioned, where your back is, you kind of take things for granted again.
15:42And sometimes, you know, how much times you can be alert?
15:45You know, you alert all the time, sometimes, you know, you drop your guard for five minutes,
15:49and that's why it's good to, when you have colleagues within your frame,
15:54to talk to them and say, hey, let me in here, and et cetera, et cetera,
15:58and make sure that wherever we position ourselves is a safe one.
16:02Very unfortunate, and I trust that justice is so early that we find the culprits
16:08and make these many examples very unfortunate.
16:10It doesn't get happened to anybody.
16:13Indeed.
16:14All right, we have a short clip involving, it says,
16:17alleged one driver was trying to avoid another vehicle,
16:19and this occurred, I'm not sure of the area.
16:25It's a gas station.
16:27It's pretty, it's at least three, two badly damaged vehicles there,
16:33and then you have at least four, two there, really,
16:38and then somebody ended up hitting the gas station, the pump there.
16:46And the pump hit the next vehicle.
16:47Yes, and fell onto that vehicle.
16:52Fortunately, there was nothing in terms of explosion,
16:56as one of our crew members is telling me,
17:00you know, they had to obviously put foam and so on,
17:02just in case of anything, you know, flammable in that area there,
17:06which is pretty volatile,
17:09to ensure that, you know, there is no kind of fire and so on.
17:14And, of course, we see the authorities there
17:16also arriving very quickly after the incident.
17:20Yeah, again, we had to remember the fire service
17:22is considered trying to become brevis, you know,
17:27and the police is called the finest.
17:29Yes, and we have to come in the fire service for, you know,
17:32for doing due diligence, making sure that the area
17:36and whatever gas is contained, you know,
17:40we have to come in them because it could have been worse.
17:42Yeah, it's it then.
17:43I saw TN Tech as well, so I'll be seeing there too.
17:45Yeah, to take all the precautions necessary,
17:48and I'm just wondering how that accident happened,
17:50and if anybody happens to know the exact location of this gas station,
17:55you know, it really, it looks really bizarre
17:57how this accident may have occurred
17:59because usually when you're going into a gas station,
18:01you slow down, you're driving in a line with other cars,
18:04waiting to get your gas filled up.
18:07But somebody didn't follow the order.
18:10Yeah, have to be.
18:11Something definitely, and again,
18:12we're ready to get the benefit of seeing the video.
18:15Yes.
18:15The show things unfold.
18:16And we certainly hope that nobody was badly injured in that accident.
18:19Thank God, thank God.
18:20Yes, indeed.
18:21All right, we're going to take a short break,

21:19Welcome back to Beyond the Tape.
21:21I'm your host, Mark Bassan,
21:22joined today by Corporal Derek Chabody
21:24of the St. James Police Youth Club.
21:26And, you know, we just wanted to, again,
21:30show the images of two young women
21:34who are still missing.
21:35The first, according to the Children's Authority,
21:39Emily Williams, 17, last seen in the Maloney area.
21:44And, of course, anyone with information
21:46regarding the whereabouts of Emily
21:48should contact the authority at 996
21:51or even the nearest police station
21:55if you happen to spot Emily.
21:58The second is 15-year-old Aliyah Ali,
22:02last seen in the Mova area.
22:05Of course, anyone with information
22:06should contact the authority at 996
22:09or the police at 999
22:11or any nearest police station
22:13if you happen to spot her
22:15in any of these areas
22:17across Trinidad and Tobago.
22:18Yes, certainly it is for their own good.
22:22Sometimes, I mean, it says last week,
22:23again, we were talking about
22:24one of the young people who,
22:27a young girl, but he was found.
22:29She left home.
22:29Yes.
22:3014 years of age.
22:31Yes.
22:3215, I think.
22:3214 or 15.
22:33And you don't know how these things
22:34could end up.
22:35And we are asking people, you know,
22:36the time for that is not my child.
22:39And these are done.
22:41We have to be our brother's keeper.
22:43And sometimes you have to save children
22:44from themselves
22:45because they make poor choices.
22:46Sometimes there are a lot of factors
22:47that would have contributed
22:48for them leaving.
22:50And we don't want judging anybody.
22:51You know, they are crying out for help.
22:53And as adults,
22:54if you see a child
22:55not in any best of environment,
22:57it's good to call
22:57children's authority,
22:59community policing,
23:00you know,
23:00the officer that you may know
23:02and may have a relationship with
23:04so that that child can be rescued
23:06from that toxic environment.
23:09And children's authority
23:10has been doing excellent work.
23:12You know, it is so much.
23:13It is a mammoth project.
23:14And we work in concert
23:16with the children's authority
23:16from time to time
23:17providing housing.
23:19Sometimes they refer them
23:20to the U-Club.
23:20So I know all the good work
23:22that the children's authority does.
23:23So we are appealing to members
23:24of the public
23:25that those two faces,
23:27those are your children too.
23:29You follow?
23:30Those are the nation's children.
23:32And we need to know that.
23:33Officer, yes,
23:34we see them A, B, and C
23:36and they can start.
23:36Even their camera.
23:38Cameras are very helpful
23:39in terms of tracking their movement
23:41and seeing where they will last.
23:42So we really appeal to the public
23:43to render some assistance
23:45in ensuring that the children
23:47return safely back to their homes.
23:51Indeed.
23:52All right, we have our first call
23:53on the line.
23:54Caller, good evening.
23:55Good evening, officer.
23:56Good evening.
23:58Good evening, ma'am.
23:58Good morning.
23:59How are you all?
24:00Are we good?
24:01Yes.
24:02Officer, concerning the point 14,
24:04I'm sorry to hear what happened
24:06because I heard about it.
24:07And I know what people say sometimes
24:09is see you in the morning.
24:11People like to come from wherever
24:12they come from and cause confusion.
24:14I hope that everything will be okay.
24:16That's the first point.
24:17The second point is the concern
24:19in the election that has taken place.
24:21I hope that they stop kicks in
24:24and parliament and be very serious
24:25because of what is taking place
24:27in this country.
24:28And if they have enough seats
24:30that they can be treated for whatever
24:32that they could change certain laws
24:33that need to be changed
24:35and they look at constitutional reform
24:37so that something will be done
24:39in this country
24:40because it's sad every minute
24:41and every minute
24:42and all sorts of things.
24:44And my third point is
24:46we always get good grades
24:52for election because in Trinidad
24:53they don't really,
24:54you know,
24:55don't do set up.
24:56I remember we were in a country
24:58and the election was the case
25:00that I want to call the country
25:01and they told us certain callers
25:03not to go out to it
25:04because it's the only time
25:08they will realize
25:09you don't belong to that country
25:10is when you speak
25:11and that might be a bit too late.
25:12So we got an A
25:14and we know that people say
25:16that it has a lot of mouth
25:17and sometimes they don't really do anything.
25:19So we want to be safe
25:21for point 14
25:23because sometimes I have said before
25:25people are always coming
25:26to do wrong things.
25:27So all the best
25:28and have a blessed weekend
25:29all of you
25:30and tell them please
25:31stop kicks in parliament
25:32and get very serious
25:33because we need serious decisions
25:36that we need.
25:38Thanks a lot.
25:38Caller?
25:39Yes.
25:40Well,
25:40point 14
25:41the amount of alcohol consumption
25:43and the type of drugs
25:45that people are using
25:46and it's like a case
25:47where you're a polyaddict now
25:49so it's not a case of marijuana only
25:51or alcohol only
25:52they're mixing their drugs
25:53it's more potent
25:54you know
25:55so therefore
25:56the police officers
25:58and those who
25:59are moving around
26:00would understand
26:01that
26:02there's very little
26:03you can do
26:03in terms of communicating
26:04with somebody
26:05who's under the influence
26:06you have to take them
26:07somewhere to talk
26:08you follow?
26:09So
26:09we appeal to people
26:11to let good science prevail
26:13you know
26:14you're going behind a wheel
26:15you know the person
26:16is under the influence
26:17of alcohol
26:18seize the key
26:19command tell a person
26:21say not today
26:21you would not be driving off
26:23or your vehicle today
26:24you know
26:24you take charge
26:25you follow?
26:26So
26:26for all right thinking
26:28and right-binding persons
26:29take charge of those
26:30who you know
26:31unfortunately
26:32will not be making
26:33good and
26:34informed decisions
26:36concerning
26:37the April 28
26:38it is
26:39it's behind us now
26:40we see what
26:41this government will do
26:42how to inform
26:43the different
26:43and
26:44the public
26:45the public
26:45will have to
26:46impress upon them
26:47you know
26:48what is required
26:48the police service
26:49is there to work
26:50in concert
26:51and to enforce
26:52you know
26:53the policies
26:53and that kind of stuff
26:54and
26:55we continue
26:56to do our good work
26:57we continue to
26:57make sure and understand
26:59that we
27:00our service
27:01is to the public
27:02we protect
27:03and serve with pride
27:04and we continue
27:05to ensure that
27:06safety is paramount
27:07and members of the public
27:09will also greet us
27:10and city officers
27:11are doing an excellent job
27:12we move from
27:1360 to 85%
27:15yes indeed
27:16all right
27:17we have another
27:17caller in the line
27:18caller
27:18good evening
27:19hey good evening
27:21mr. Bassant
27:22good evening sir
27:22good evening
27:24to officer
27:25how you guys doing
27:26good as good be
27:29all right
27:30all right
27:30man
27:30just asking
27:31so it's in a respectful
27:32way
27:32I'll keep my comment
27:33brief
27:34but
27:35you know
27:36I've watched the show
27:37for a while
27:37so
27:38I mean my comments
27:40here
27:40the sincerest
27:41of respect
27:42you know
27:42the show
27:44has been on the air
27:45for a couple of years
27:46now
27:46and you know
27:47side to side
27:48you see you know
27:49persons
27:50humans
27:51are dynamic
27:52and
27:53you know
27:54everybody have
27:56I guess they say
27:56free choice
27:57and you know
27:58you can't police
27:58people
28:00you know
28:01so
28:01it could be a complicated
28:03dynamic to manage
28:04but
28:05you know
28:06the work that
28:07you gentlemen do
28:08you know
28:10sincere
28:11honest
28:12integrity
28:13and the aim
28:15of all this work
28:16that we do it
28:17as citizens
28:18so that each
28:19and every citizen
28:20could enjoy
28:22their lives
28:23you know
28:23in the way
28:24that they choose
28:25in a respectful way
28:26and I would draw
28:27the boundary
28:27you might want
28:29to enjoy something
28:30but
28:30if the way
28:31you enjoy
28:32yourself
28:33infringing
28:34on someone
28:34else
28:35enjoying themselves
28:36that
28:36is the boundary
28:38and I believe
28:39now I have no experience
28:40as an officer
28:41don't get me wrong
28:42I just comment
28:42from the mind
28:43of a citizen
28:44so I just want
28:45to give that
28:46that
28:46that
28:47that
28:48comment
28:48that you know
28:50you guys
28:50do an honest
28:51genuine work
28:52so keep up
28:53the good work
28:54and all the best
28:55with the aim
28:56of Trinidad
28:57being happy
28:58thanks for the time
29:00all the best gentlemen
29:01blessings to you
29:02and he made
29:04an excellent point
29:05wherever you located
29:06you must have
29:07somebody responsible
29:08saying
29:09you aren't enough
29:10yes
29:10you had enough
29:12I don't think
29:12you should have
29:12a next one
29:13we had a program
29:14called Project Excel
29:15many years ago
29:16where even bartenders
29:17were acting responsible
29:19and saying
29:19I would not be
29:21serving you anymore
29:21so even the bartenders
29:23also feel
29:24that they have
29:24a responsibility
29:25the citizen
29:26I don't think
29:26you have your limit
29:27everybody needs
29:29to understand
29:29that they play
29:30a fundamental role
29:31in terms of
29:32ensuring people's safety
29:34that person
29:35will go in a car
29:35and will not only
29:37kill himself
29:37but he will kill
29:38an innocent driver
29:39as well
29:39three children
29:40as a result of that
29:41so there's a domino effect
29:42in terms of his
29:43reckless behavior
29:44and therefore we need
29:46to make sure
29:46that at least
29:48there are responsible
29:49people
29:50so at the end
29:51of the day
29:51I spoke to him
29:52I took away
29:53the keys from him
29:53we make sure
29:55and drop him
29:55back wherever
29:56and he's resting
29:57that is the attitude
29:58we want to applaud
29:59and we feel
30:00that is the right direction
30:01our society must go
30:02yes indeed
30:03and as ASP Forbes
30:04pointed out
30:04from the southwestern
30:05division yesterday
30:06if you are coming
30:08to point 40
30:08and you should
30:10get a designated driver
30:11if of course
30:12you're not being
30:13transported by a maxi taxi
30:14alright
30:15we're going to take
30:16a short break
30:16and we'll be back

32:14joined today by
32:14Corporal Derek Shabody
32:16manager of the
32:17St. James Police
32:18Youth Club
32:19I think we have a call
32:20on the line
32:21caller good evening
32:22good evening caller
32:25hi
32:26pleasant good afternoon
32:28Mr. Basant
32:29pleasant good afternoon
32:30to Corporal Shabody
32:32and also
32:33to your listeners
32:35excellent program
32:37always on point
32:38with everything
32:39first let me comment
32:42Corporal Shabody
32:44of the St. James Police
32:46Youth Club
32:47I have known Mr. Shabody
32:48for quite some time
32:49and I trust that
32:51you know
32:52whoever is listening
32:53you know
32:54I'm hoping
32:55that Corporal Shabody
32:56would receive the instrument
32:58you know
32:59Corporal
33:00being an inspector
33:02at this point in time
33:03where youth is concerned
33:04because he has
33:05so much of value
33:06you know
33:07and a lot of potential
33:08in terms of
33:09moving our youth forward
33:11you know
33:12into a free life of crime
33:13so I want to say
33:15an excellent program
33:16you know
33:17and it's about time
33:19they promote
33:19I know Mr. Basant
33:21I had heard
33:21you call him sergeant
33:23it's about time
33:24they you know
33:25they gave him a promotion
33:26of inspector
33:27but you know
33:27he could see over
33:28some huge trout
33:29and Tobago
33:30like what
33:31he accustomed to it
33:33so thank you
33:34for giving me the time
33:35take care
33:36bye
33:37well thanks so much
33:39for those kind sentiments
33:40for
33:41in my books
33:42he would be now
33:43a senior soup man
33:45I mean
33:46for the work
33:46that you have really done
33:48for the youth
33:49of this country
33:49on that scale
33:51in the eyes of the public
33:53you probably not
33:53looked upon as a corporal
33:55you know
33:55just
33:56the
33:57the
33:57the Herculean tasks
33:58that you take on
33:59every single day
34:01and what you do
34:03is an inspiration
34:04to a lot of young people
34:05out there
34:06and also to
34:06persons like yourself
34:07like Piers
34:08who would like to
34:09to interact with
34:10these young persons
34:11and make a difference
34:12and it's great
34:14to see that
34:15I could call in
34:16and lift the heart
34:18off to you
34:18and to salute you
34:19for the great work
34:20that you continue to do
34:21yes
34:23and thank you very much
34:24we go way back
34:25of course
34:26and thank you
34:27for the
34:27the promotion
34:29two weeks ago
34:30to Sartre
34:30and it comes to the package
34:31no but I
34:33I think that
34:34God has called it
34:35to be of service
34:35it started many years ago
34:38when my parents died
34:39you know
34:40when I saw a young man
34:41in the cell
34:41I spoke to him
34:42and being in the cell
34:43my heart moved
34:44and I realized
34:45he was ignorant
34:46naive
34:47a lot of different things
34:48he was doing
34:49he was set up
34:49you know
34:50and I spoke to
34:51the corporal
34:52at West End Station
34:53at that time
34:53many ones
34:54and he said
34:54well why don't go in schools
34:55and talk to them
34:56and that is where
34:58my passion was
34:58going talking
34:59lecturing
35:00and then I met some
35:01you know
35:02the youth club
35:03the youth club culture
35:05the environment
35:05I was introduced
35:06to Sergeant Reed
35:07and Prince
35:09and Corporal Hutchins
35:10you know
35:10some good people
35:11Trinidad
35:12and when I
35:14saw what they were doing
35:15in terms of
35:16proactive approach
35:16I think that
35:17you know
35:18it is good to
35:19it is easy to charge somebody
35:20it is easy to put them
35:21before the court
35:22but to change a mind
35:23to transform a mind
35:24to take a mind
35:26from 8 to 180 degrees
35:28and say
35:29officer I am grateful
35:30for the way you speak to me
35:31I am grateful
35:32that you met me
35:33and I say that everyday
35:34sometimes I don't even
35:35recognize them
35:36and they say officer
35:37remember when you came
35:37in my school
35:38so not to God
35:39be the glory
35:40I thank God
35:40for being of service
35:42because there are people
35:43who have been good to me
35:43in my youth
35:45and who continue
35:46to be good to me
35:46and I think all police officers
35:48should feel honored
35:49knowing that they have
35:51young people under the charge
35:53that they will
35:54be able to transform
35:55and whether it come
35:56with a rank or not
35:57the greatest thing
35:58is that it is a blessing
35:59and God will continue
36:00to bless you
36:01and your children
36:01will be blessed
36:02and your children
36:03will be blessed
36:03and that is important
36:05all right
36:06all right
36:07voice of the people
36:08in northeastern Satman
36:09let's take a look
36:10do you think we need
36:34to have stiffer penalties
36:36for common answers
36:37all the time
36:39all the time
36:40I don't know
36:40where this government
36:41sleeping on
36:42what they're doing
36:42so I don't know
36:43what they're doing
36:44so these men
36:45and them I seen
36:45well take for instance
36:47all right
36:47this poor lady
36:48just come out for me
36:51now look like
36:51it's a supermarket
36:52or something
36:53and she's walking
36:53now he
36:54he outside it
36:55the bandit outside
36:57he had he got
36:58in his little portrait
36:59you know
36:59the thing
37:00that I saw
37:00you saw that
37:02and this man
37:03waiting till
37:05this poor innocent
37:06oh man
37:06she unaware
37:07that I was telling you
37:09we just be unaware
37:11what taking place
37:12from you
37:12but we supposed
37:13to be always
37:13left to right
37:15watch right around you
37:16keep your eyes
37:17busy
37:17don't sleep
37:18don't sleep
37:19because if you come out
37:20there to sleep
37:21you'll get licked up fast
37:22she come out
37:23of the place
37:24and she come in
37:24and she walking
37:25as normally
37:25well it's all right
37:26but that time
37:27the man stand up
37:28there watching
37:28and as she take out
37:29the eye on him
37:30he start running
37:31she down
37:32as she see
37:32she going in the car
37:33she going running
37:34she down
37:34as she come
37:35and he point the gun
37:36and the man
37:37the man come out
37:37on this side
37:38she going back
37:39in she car vehicle
37:40to take something
37:41you know what that man do
37:42the door open
37:43with that man
37:44and I see that man
37:44ramming back that car
37:47because he don't
37:48control the car already
37:49he don't take away
37:50the key everything
37:50from she
37:51and she fighting
37:53on this side now
37:53the passenger side
37:54I don't know
37:55where she trying
37:56to take out
37:56the other car
37:57and that man
37:58coming back
37:58with a car
37:59and that door
37:59well that is all
38:00what I hit
38:00and that door
38:01hit that man
38:02I don't know
38:02we need stuff
38:03a penalty
38:03boy must
38:04we need stuff
38:05a penalty
38:05boy must
38:06we must
38:07these criminals
38:08and them
38:08they have to
38:09take them out
38:10boy
38:10you have to
38:10take them out
38:11yeah
38:12you have to
38:12take them out
38:13they own this way
38:15I see
38:16we could start
38:17to form something
38:18again
38:18show some form
38:19show some form
38:20like
38:20we they like
38:21if we are there
38:22the government
38:22they like if they are there
38:23because they may
38:24care nothing
38:24about the government
38:25they're moving in
38:26so maybe if they're
38:28stiffing the penalty
38:29and do things more
38:30more vibrant
38:31things might change
38:33but all for now
38:34things are changing
38:35at all
38:36thank you so much
38:37for your time
38:37I appreciate you
38:38yes my brother
38:39voice of the people
38:44of course
38:45and you know
38:46he's saying
38:46that we need to
38:47deal with these
38:48criminals
38:48yeah
38:49there's a saying
38:50after God is police
38:51you know why
38:52oh God
38:53oh God police
38:54so right after
38:55people call on God
38:56there's call for police
38:57the point is
38:58is that yes
38:59that you need to
39:00make these people
39:01under my example
39:01after officer has
39:03arrested
39:04put you before the court
39:05you need to expedite
39:07they need to have
39:07the day in court
39:08and they need to
39:09understand that
39:10these are the consequences
39:11if I am doing
39:11something wrong
39:12and there's no
39:13consequences
39:14now you know
39:14it's all unlawful
39:15but there's no
39:16consequences for my
39:18action
39:18they're not going
39:18to do it
39:19so all the
39:20judiciary system
39:20have to expedite
39:22these cases
39:23and let them know
39:24these are the
39:24consequences
39:25so that young
39:26people looking on
39:27will say
39:27hey not me
39:28I'm not going
39:29to make no 30 years
39:30I'm not going
39:31to struggle
39:31for no 15
39:3220
39:32you follow
39:33consequences
39:34and I think
39:35the gentleman
39:36is on the board
39:37in terms of
39:38the judicial
39:38history
39:38revisiting
39:39and trying to
39:40expedite some
39:40of those cases
39:41because the
39:42jails are filled
39:42you know
39:43police are doing
39:44good work
39:44it's filled
39:45to capacity
39:46the other half
39:47now is what's
39:48going on with
39:48the court system
39:49yeah and I
39:51would hope that
39:51you know when
39:52young people see
39:54those people in
39:55jail
39:55living in jail
39:57like if they are
39:58kings and think
39:59that is where
40:00they want to be
40:01thank you
40:01I would think
40:02that you would
40:03expect yourself
40:04to elevate
40:05yourself much
40:05higher than
40:06that
40:06and to live
40:07an honest life
40:08a straight
40:09forward life
40:09where you can
40:10earn honest
40:12living of course
40:12and take care
40:13of your family
40:14and take care
40:15of your needs
40:15sometimes things
40:16will take a little
40:17longer depending
40:18on the job
40:19that you get
40:19but you know
40:21some youths want
40:22things fast
40:23and that is why
40:24they gravitate
40:25to this life
40:26of crime
40:26so you know
40:28we just want
40:28to urge you
40:28all to
40:29obviously you know
40:30just walk the
40:31straight and narrow
40:31path
40:32it might take
40:32a little bit
40:32longer but the
40:34end result is
40:34that you might
40:35live 25 or 30
40:37years longer
40:38than expected
40:39alright we're

43:04Beyond the Tape
43:05I'm your host
43:05Mark Bassan
43:06joined today by
43:07Corporal Derek
43:08Shabody of the
43:08St. James Police
43:10Youth Club
43:10I think we have
43:12a call on the line
43:12Caller
43:13good evening
43:13I bless you
43:15good evening
43:15to two eminent
43:16young men
43:17Mr. Shaboney
43:19Sir
43:19I am over 75
43:21but in my
43:23next life
43:24I will not come
43:25back to your
43:25grandson
43:25when I see
43:28the care
43:29and I want
43:30attention
43:30to pay
43:31to children
43:31I know
43:33I would be
43:33having the
43:34best grandfather
43:35in the world
43:35as well
43:37let's take on
43:37a serious note
43:39now
43:39I look at the
43:41video just now
43:42I want to give
43:43a suggestion
43:43from that video
43:45even though
43:46the individual
43:47face
43:48was hidden
43:49I know
43:51is the man
43:52in the palace
43:52because you've
43:54seen all the
43:54goods in the
43:55background
43:55so whenever
43:56you are doing
43:57these types
43:57of videos
43:58will you kindly
44:00blank out
44:00everything
44:01and let's
44:01show up
44:02a shadow of a man
44:03how will you
44:05smooth
44:06you want to
44:09take the first
44:09one
44:10yeah I think
44:11that um
44:11thank you very
44:12much
44:12and I know
44:14that we
44:14continue to be
44:15of service
44:15the public
44:16determines
44:17the quality
44:18of service
44:18that the
44:19political
44:19stroke our
44:20ego
44:20and say
44:21we're doing
44:21a good job
44:21is the
44:22public
44:22to say
44:22we want
44:23to commend
44:24the police
44:24officers
44:25they're going
44:25beyond the
44:25call of duty
44:26the first
44:26respondents
44:27you know
44:28they're taking
44:29care of
44:29our youth
44:30they're doing
44:30excellent work
44:31at a national
44:32level
44:32so we continue
44:33to be of service
44:34to members
44:35of the public
44:36and we want
44:36to let the
44:36public know
44:37that we go
44:38back to our
44:39communities too
44:39we live
44:40we are neighbors
44:41we are uncle
44:42we are you know
44:43we were not
44:43imported we didn't
44:44come down here
44:44from a particular
44:45country
44:46right here we
44:47came from
44:47and therefore
44:48we meet and
44:49we talk and
44:49we chat and
44:50we go on the
44:50field
44:50and we
44:51interact and
44:52we understand
44:53the pain
44:53we understand
44:54when somebody
44:55knocks on your
44:55door what is
44:55happening you
44:56have to look
44:56you have to
44:56tell the person
44:58to take off
44:58the light
44:58you know so
44:59we are familiar
45:00with the
45:01unfortunate
45:02elements and
45:03how the
45:04times that we
45:05live in and
45:06therefore it is
45:06incumbent on us
45:07to also to be
45:09good committee
45:09leaders as well
45:10and don't feel
45:11that because we
45:11are officers
45:12we must isolate
45:13ourselves so I
45:14want to thank you
45:14very much
45:15and their
45:16officers also
45:16doing excellent
45:17work doing
45:18the call of
45:18duty and
45:19continue to
45:20pray and
45:20support them
45:21find out what
45:21they are doing
45:22drop a case of
45:23water you know
45:24adopt a child
45:25God has called
45:26us to be mentors
45:27and has called
45:28us to work with
45:29the less fortunate
45:30I think once that
45:31is done then it
45:33is an effective
45:34tool in crime
45:35fighting
45:35yes
45:36and so the
45:38second point
45:39you raise
45:40call of course
45:40when we do
45:41these interviews
45:42we ask persons
45:43you know sometimes
45:44they just decide
45:45that they want
45:46their hands
45:47shown and so
45:47on but point
45:48taken of course
45:49but sometimes
45:50you would shoot
45:50another location
45:51while you speak
45:52to us so we
45:53are very mindful
45:54of that as well
45:55because when you
45:56go into some
45:56communities persons
45:57would like to
45:58speak but of
45:59course they don't
45:59want to be
45:59identified for
46:00fear of any
46:01kind of victimization
46:02or reprisal or
46:03anything of the
46:04sort so we try
46:05to be responsible
46:06in that measure
46:07and we respect
46:08everyone's in this
46:10case the gentleman
46:10did agree to have
46:12his hands and so
46:14on shown during
46:16that interview
46:17and I know that
46:18you wanted to touch
46:19on something related
46:21to the commissioner
46:22and a visit
46:23well the commissioner
46:25is a very busy
46:26person that's my
46:26virtue of his
46:27portfolio can
46:28understand what's
46:28going on and
46:29then he was
46:30kind enough to
46:30meet with members
46:31of the parent body
46:33Tuesday before
46:34the election
46:35you know he
46:36has given us
46:37one hour and
46:37we were very
46:38grateful that
46:39he met with
46:39the parent body
46:40with members of
46:41the organizing
46:41committee and
46:42you know he
46:43listened to some
46:45of the concerns
46:46so this is some
46:47of the footage
46:47here you're just
46:48walking us
46:49through right
46:49this is the
46:50president of the
46:51parent council
46:52right
46:52with a small
46:53token of
46:54appreciation
46:54you don't
46:56thank them
46:56because the
46:56commission
46:57are doing
46:57easy work
46:57you know
46:58people want
46:58to end
46:59people say
46:59things
47:00but sitting
47:00in that chair
47:01is not easy
47:02and we want
47:03to let them
47:04know that our
47:05youth club stands
47:05ready to support
47:06and we are there
47:07in a good fight
47:09in a fight to
47:10save our youth
47:10and he had
47:11given us the
47:12time
47:12he had listened
47:13to Mr. Assistant
47:14Commissioner
47:15Sudin was also
47:16there
47:16Dr. Reza
47:17Mr. James
47:18Devers
47:19Mr. Sudin
47:20he is the
47:20assistant commissioner
47:21in charge of
47:22tactical and
47:22support
47:24excellent
47:25officer and a
47:25gentleman
47:26real cool
47:26and Dr. Reza
47:27people sitting
47:28at a table
47:29what can we do
47:30what else
47:30is required
47:32you know
47:32to work with
47:33young people
47:34how can we help
47:35it's all about
47:35partnership
47:36it's all about
47:37bringing stakeholders
47:37and we want to
47:39give the
47:40undertaking
47:41and we want to
47:42thank the commissioner
47:43you know
47:44for taking time
47:44off to meet
47:45with the youth
47:45club
47:46and also
47:46giving a
47:47full undertaking
47:48to visit
47:48not just our
47:49club but other
47:49clubs
47:50and to meet
47:50we also
47:51extended an
47:52invitation to
47:52speak to all
47:53youth club
47:53leaders
47:54because he's
47:55a motivational
47:55speaker
47:56yes
47:56and you know
47:57he can speak
47:58to them
47:58and tell them
47:59good work
47:59and so we
48:00have extended
48:00an invitation
48:01to him
48:01to meet
48:02with all
48:02youth club
48:02leaders
48:03and he has
48:04accepted
48:04and now
48:06that the
48:0620th is no
48:07more
48:07we trust
48:08that
48:08probably
48:10some time
48:10in me
48:10yes
48:11you know
48:11we will say
48:12well this is
48:12the day
48:13and we want
48:13to also
48:14invite you
48:14to be part
48:15of that
48:15to inspire
48:16young people
48:17you know
48:18the commissioner
48:18shaking
48:19hugging them
48:19it's
48:20the best
48:21thing you
48:21could ever
48:22see
48:22yes
48:23most definitely
48:23it's always
48:24good when
48:25you could
48:25make
48:25as you
48:26said
48:26you have
48:26a very
48:27difficult
48:27job
48:28you know
48:28as you
48:29said
48:29it's very
48:30easy for
48:30somebody
48:30to get
48:31charged
48:31and so
48:31on
48:31police
48:32to do
48:32their
48:32work
48:32in
48:33certain
48:33cases
48:33right
48:34yes
48:34but
48:34to transform
48:35somebody
48:36from
48:36that kind
48:38of life
48:38to walk
48:40the street
48:40on our
48:40path
48:41it takes
48:41a lot
48:42of encouragement
48:44a lot
48:44of mentoring
48:45and so on
48:46from
48:47somebody like
48:48yourself
48:48and other
48:49officers
48:49like you
48:50who do
48:51this job
48:51on a very
48:52daily basis
48:52hoping to
48:53make a
48:53difference
48:54and hoping
48:55that the
48:56difference
48:56they make
48:56with this
48:57young one
48:57can then
48:58redound
48:58onto others
48:59so that
49:00they can
49:00make a
49:01positive
49:01contribution
49:02to society
49:03and there
49:04is no
49:04one
49:04session
49:05no one
49:06session
49:06parents
49:07come and
49:07say
49:07talk to
49:07him
49:08talk to
49:08him
49:08for
49:08me
49:09please
49:09I say
49:10listen
49:10this
49:10requires
49:11put him
49:11in a new
49:11environment
49:12get him
49:13involved
49:13in a new
49:13club
49:14and the
49:14parents
49:14also
49:15have to
49:16participate
49:16in that
49:16process
49:17the parents
49:17must not
49:18divorce
49:18themselves
49:19because
49:19sometimes
49:20it's how
49:20the parents
49:20demean
49:21how they
49:21speak
49:22they need
49:22to address
49:23that as
49:23well
49:23so the
49:24police
49:24service
49:25understand
49:25that they
49:26were cut
49:26out
49:26because the
49:27gangs
49:27are not
49:27giving up
49:28the
49:29recruitment
49:29are not
49:33people
49:33know
49:33that
49:34there's
49:34life
49:35after
49:36a
49:36police
49:36club
49:36but
49:37there's
49:37death
49:38when you
49:38join a
49:39gang
49:39and we
49:40want to
49:40make it
49:40absolutely
49:41clear to
49:41them
49:41that this
49:42is not
49:43just a
49:43police
49:43fight
49:43but it's
49:44everybody
49:45playing a
49:46fundamental
49:46role
49:46in
49:47you know
49:48you know
49:48you just
49:48struck up
49:49on a
49:49really good
49:50you know
49:51a tagline
49:52life after
49:53police
49:53youth
49:54club
49:54death
49:54after
49:55gang
49:55maybe
49:56something
49:57that the
49:57TTPS
49:58can look
49:58into as
49:59well
49:59because
49:59it is
50:00very
50:00it speaks
50:01very succinctly
50:03to what
50:03you have
50:03referred
50:04to
50:04and it's
50:05a very
50:05simple
50:06but powerful
50:07message
50:07I think
50:08we need
50:08copyright
50:08and
50:09intellectual
50:09property
50:10you said
50:10I didn't
50:11say it
50:12you said
50:13it
50:13no no
50:13it's an
50:13excellent
50:13point
50:14I think
50:14we need
50:14to get
50:15taglines
50:16and send
50:16it out
50:16use social
50:17media
50:17and let
50:18them know
50:19that God
50:19didn't bring
50:20you here
50:20to die
50:21he bring
50:21you here
50:21because
50:22of his
50:22life
50:22you have
50:23a purpose
50:23you have
50:23a value
50:24you know
50:25and you can
50:25find your
50:26purpose
50:26you know
50:27he speaks
50:27about
50:27even before
50:28he was
50:28in your
50:28mother's
50:28woman
50:29you
50:29yes
50:30let's
50:30imagine
50:30that
50:31so as
50:32a result
50:32of that
50:33he has
50:33a place
50:34for you
50:34he has
50:34a path
50:34for you
50:35you have
50:35to find
50:35that path
50:36and there
50:36are people
50:37who can
50:38tap in
50:38into your
50:39potential
50:39and bring
50:41out your
50:41potential
50:42and say
50:42look how
50:43gifted
50:43you are
50:44you know
50:44some of
50:45people say
50:45sir I don't
50:46feel like
50:46that
50:46I say
50:47try
50:47try it
50:48and then
50:48they say
50:49sir I'm
50:49grateful
50:49that you
50:50give me
50:50the little
50:51push
50:51you know
50:52and all
50:52the different
50:53players
50:53people who
50:54come on
50:54board
50:54to work
50:54you can't
50:55forget
50:55people who
50:56volunteer
50:57again
50:57volunteerism
50:59is undervalued
51:00and we need
51:00to promote
51:01and let people
51:02know the quality
51:03of volunteering
51:03and being
51:04of service
51:05study
51:05you don't
51:05judge them
51:06don't put
51:07your mouth
51:07on them
51:07officer I would
51:09like to be
51:09of assistance
51:10and probably
51:1110 years
51:11down the road
51:12you will see
51:12fruit
51:13there
51:13immediately
51:15you will not
51:15see you know
51:16what you're
51:16looking for
51:17but 10 years
51:18down the road
51:18they say
51:18miss you remember
51:19me
51:19I never forget
51:21and that is
51:21planting
51:22and ensuring
51:23that good
51:24fruits
51:25are born
51:26and born
51:26and this
51:26program
51:27we need
51:27to come
51:28in this
51:28program
51:28this program
51:29is providing
51:29answers
51:30it's not
51:30just telling
51:31about what's
51:32going on
51:32but also
51:33providing answers
51:34to those
51:34who are saying
51:35officer I don't
51:36know what to
51:36do again
51:37well okay
51:37we have
51:38police club
51:39we have
51:39community

51:40and we
51:41have other
51:41organizations
51:41that are doing
51:42excellent work
51:43on the job
51:43that we need
51:44to support
51:45yes indeed
51:46and that's why
51:46we are thankful
51:47that a program
51:48like this
51:49exists so that
51:50you and other
51:51officers

51:53can come on
51:53here and

53:34welcome back to beyond the
53:50table i'm your host mark
53:50was and joined today by
53:52corporal derek shabody of the
53:54st james police youth club but
53:56also a senior superintendent in
53:58his own right by john public
53:59and uh we wanted to show you a
54:03road traffic accident in the
54:04orange grove road area in the
54:06vicinity of the orange grove
54:07lights that took place i think
54:10sometime yesterday and in the
54:12same breath corporal shabody we
54:15are getting into the weekend and a
54:18lot of people are going to be on
54:19the roads going to the point for
54:20to borrow the festivities they
54:22have the uh the new highway now
54:24open and we really want to
54:26urge persons on the roadways to be
54:29careful do not drink and drive yes
54:32well over and over we we i mean to
54:33say this program has spared um so
54:37many different speakers officers um
54:39that speaks to the fact of the black
54:41carpet and how reckless people could be
54:43on the road and sometimes we have to
54:46ask drivers to do the due diligence to
54:48pop them something and say why are
54:49you driving you know and and develop a
54:52sense of policing even on the road
54:54after those who are being reckless
54:57there's no need to speed and then you
54:59cannot see a police vehicle as just a
55:01vehicle it is also an instrument that
55:04can kill that can take lives is a deadly
55:07weapon driven by the wrong and only
55:10wrong hands and under the influence and
55:12there's enough footage the enough
55:14carnage there's enough pictures and
55:16photos yes that we could show in terms
55:19of life being lost in terms of of
55:22people reckless on the road so we
55:25are appealing to people you know let
55:27them get mad with you tell them
55:28what about why you're driving so pop
55:30them several times let them be
55:31annoyed let them know that you you
55:33you have recognized the reckless
55:35driving if it's your officer footed
55:37on pull over say officer look yes and i
55:40want to applaud people who have cameras
55:42you know to have cameras installed in a
55:44vehicle that is absolutely excellent
55:46where the tape on the show and the
55:49dash cams yes that is excellent and i i
55:51spoke to the maxi taxi only taxis i'm
55:54taxing last week in terms of installing
55:56that remember the taxi driver who was who
55:58died as a result the took his car yes
56:02right and i tell him that cameras are
56:04also very important installing those kind
56:06of gadgets are also very important and
56:09keeping in touch forming a nice little
56:10group and to keep people posted in
56:13terms of the way about because times
56:15have changed so we want to appeal to
56:17people again you know unfortunately you
56:20share the road with everybody yes and
56:22and parents you know your children under
56:24the age of 18 don't allow them do not
56:26hand over the case to them it is not
56:28their time yet they have not been given
56:30any type of training licensing has not
56:33authorized them to be on the public road
56:35and we actually kind of need to finish
56:37you know to assist with that and you
56:39know just on you as we have about a
56:40minute and a half left i know you just
56:44wanted to make a mention to some
56:47outstanding ladies oh yes um well let me
56:50start with with the female officers with
56:52the new service you know there are
56:54officers who do good work and we want to
56:55come when i can radium officers in
56:57leadership women who really really you
57:00know go out and and you showed that the
57:02femininity in terms of duty and we want
57:04to salute them because god has blessed
57:07both danger and you cannot you know i was
57:09told that god made one man all the rest
57:12of men was made by women and we had to
57:14understand that we too came from women
57:15and we come from that divine you know we
57:18stayed nine months in that womb and we
57:19must respect you know the fact that we
57:22came from women so i want to salute all
57:23women but in particular i also want to
57:26recognize for the first time we have a
57:28prime minister that is a woman we have a
57:31president as a woman and the opposition
57:32so all young girls women and even those
57:36who would have lobby and and you know go
57:40beyond and was lobbying for women to be
57:42respected it is a good space it is a good
57:45time and we want to thank them and salute
57:47them all right a good space a good time
57:50and this is a good time for us to say it's
57:53time to go remember repeat tonight at 11 30

58:01and enjoyable weekend if you're going to
