Police recover a stolen vehicle and the men who robbed two U-S tourists on carnival Tuesday have been charged.

00:00Police arrested three persons and recovered a stolen vehicle following a
00:04report of robbery with violence in Santa Cruz on Sunday. A male victim told
00:09police he was at Gasparillo Road Santa Cruz around 6 10 p.m. when he was
00:13approached by a group of armed men. The men announced a holdup, dealt the victim
00:18a blow to the back of the head and relieved him of a quantity of cash, his
00:22cellular phone and his white Hyundai h100 vehicle before making the escape.
00:28Officers went to Saddle Road where they intercepted the stolen vehicle with
00:32three male occupants. The suspects ages 21 to 24 all of Upper Santa Cruz were
00:38arrested. Police are working to identify the body of a man discovered in St.
00:43Augustine on Sunday. According to reports around 9 a.m. officers from the Tunapuna
00:48Police Station received information about a body found in an abandoned
00:52structure off Paget Street. Upon entering the structure officers found the body of
00:58a man lying on a mattress in a state of decomposition. A district medical officer
01:04conducted an initial examination reported there were no apparent signs of
01:08violence. However given the advanced state of decomposition a postmortem has
01:12been ordered to confirm the cause of death and rule out foul play. A 21 year
01:18old man has been charged in connection with the robbery and assault of two US
01:22citizens in St. Clair on Carnival Tuesday. The accused from Henry Road in
01:27Tunapuna was scheduled to appear before Master of the High Court today. The
01:31victims a 41 year old financial banker from Glenridge New Jersey and a 45 year
01:36old woman from Miami Florida were walking along Broom Street around 9 45
01:42p.m. on Tuesday when they were approached by a group of men. They assaulted the man
01:47and stole several items including a gold chain worth US $10,000 an iPhone 15 Pro
01:54valued at US $1,500 and US $300 in cash.
