Three bandits who robbed a supermarket in Cunupia on Tuesday night were shot and killed moments after the robbery in a gunfight with police.

00:00Four bandits captured on CCTV camera last night living at the Howe Supermarket along
00:05Welcome Road with a fifth suspect driving the vehicle.
00:09Investigators say the men had entered the supermarket around 9.30pm and pointed a firearm
00:14at the cashier and demanded money.
00:16They also stole several items from inside the grocery and darted into the waiting vehicle.
00:22The men police say then sped off in a westerly direction along Raghunanan Road and disappeared
00:27momentarily.
00:28Their escape from the scene of the crime, however, was short-lived.
00:32Investigators say that police officers of the Central Division Task Force received information
00:37about the robbery moments later and spotted the men in a silver Nissan Wing Road proceeding
00:42along Welcome Road and gave chase.
00:45It was here that police intercepted the vehicle near Kuno Avenue.
00:49It veered off the road into this train.
00:51The suspects reportedly fired at the police as they tried to escape.
00:55Two of the assailants were fatally shot by the police while the other two managed to
01:00escape through some nearby bushes and the search continues for them.
01:04The three men were later taken to the Chagonas Health Facility by police where they were
01:08pronounced dead.
01:10Investigators say they were still searching through their fingerprint database in the
01:14hope of identifying the dead men.
