00:23on this toy spot we're gonna be having a look at the Batman adventures mission
00:28masters insect body mr. freeze with robot body and ice blaster oh that was a long one um this is
00:39probably well this is a considerably old toy i figured i'd do something different probably
00:44something a lot of people remember as kids but maybe didn't get a chance to keep theirs
00:52yeah so uh batman adventures or batman gotham knights which was the later uh incarnation of
01:02the animated series um was reinterpreted it was re redrawn uh from the initial what was it three
01:11seasons of batman animated series so both batman robin nightwing go down the list mr freeze bane
01:20all of them uh were redrawn and uh while i liked mr freeze from the initial batman animated series
01:28i really like the look of him from the the new gotham knights series i thought he looked more
01:35streamlined he looked a lot more sleeker i thought he looked awesome um and then they've released some
01:43of these figures uh in actual figure form not all of them unfortunately like the scarecrow and uh bane
01:52but one good thing is maddie collector.com is now releasing some of the justice league figures which
01:59are actually in scale to these guys and they are releasing some of the more obscure characters again
02:05like bane with the uh the spite collar harlequin uh clock king i believe was one of them as well
02:14so uh they'll definitely definitely going to pick those up for sure i haven't i haven't managed to pick
02:20them up yet but i definitely want to pick those up um but speaking of this packaging we have a
02:26image of mr freeze up at the top with his insect legs and i'll get into that when i get
02:31this
02:32opened up here um on the back of the packaging um just again gives a description uh gives a description
02:44here of the character and what he can do and then down below there's other characters in the wave so
02:50as always we get a mixed bag of figures here we got slalom racer slalom racer batman with rocket skis
02:59and flame missile sweet sweet jesus um we have cave climber batman with grappling launcher and
03:08pickaxe that's still not great and glider strike batman with glider wings and extension claw
03:17um if anything i'd only i only would have picked up this figure i think probably for the fact that
03:22he
03:22has the wings uh the figure itself but there you have packaging on insect mr freeze what i'm going
03:32to do is i'll get this guy opened up and actually don't be alarmed this is an old packaging um
03:38i'm
03:38not actually going to open this this one i actually have a second mr freeze so i'll do a review
03:43of that
03:44and i'll keep this guy nice and pristine in his packaging so don't go anywhere guys and we will get

03:50closer look at insect body mr freeze so stay tuned and so now that he's out of his package or
03:57i should
03:58say now that i've grabbed the other mr freeze let's get a closer look at mr freeze now being that
04:05this is
04:06from the 92 what was it 92 96 period era of collecting 98 actually 98 you're not obviously
04:19going to get any articulation in this figure aside from a few now his head won't turn the only reason
04:25for it i'll get into that in a second but he does have articulation in the hands and also in
04:31the legs
04:32that's it hope i didn't get your hopes up um but i mean really nice detailing on the face
04:39as i had already mentioned as i already mentioned during the package end of this review
04:47while i was a fan of the initial mr freeze the initial figure of mr freeze was good as well
04:52i really like the the more darker tone the more sleeker design of mr freeze i think this mr freeze

05:00awesome looks really really nice i like the blue i like the black a lot of nice detailing i mean
05:07there's
05:08not a lot in the sense that color wise there's not a lot but the fact that it's just a
05:14really nice dark
05:15black with a really nice metallic uh kind of a gray blue i think that looks really nice though
05:23um now in the way of his accessories mr freeze does come with his freeze gun which is much more
05:32accurate to the show than what the initial mr freeze came with as you can see um he can hold
05:40his freeze
05:41gun in either hand one other thing as well as i i think prior to the batman animated series i
05:56don't
05:56think really mr freeze had much depth as a character uh that whole backstory with his wife and everything
06:02else and keeping her frozen while he could discover it while he found a cure i think for her um
06:09i don't
06:10think really came into play until the animated series so i mean we can really thank um bruce tim
06:18and what was the other gentleman's name um i'm gonna remember it after i do this review but the one
06:26who
06:27did uh that episode heart of ice again i'll put it in this video here um but i mean they're
06:34really
06:35responsible for giving depth to this character i think prior to that mr freeze really was a like a
06:41secondary batman villain he wasn't really a a interesting batman villain i think up to that point
06:47but oh man do i i really like the look of this figure now uh speaking of his head there
06:54is one gimmick
06:55to the figure and for no reason that i can figure out it does this you can actually lift up
07:01his chest and
07:02open it and you can see i think the camera's gonna see it you can get all his see all
07:09his inner workings
07:11um i thought at one point that his gun could fit in there as you can see it's just a
07:16little too big for
07:17it and uh his head can't fit in there so i i really don't know why it can open um
07:24obviously this won't
07:25be able to fit in there either but um that opens uh one other thing that he does is you
07:32can take off
07:33his head like so and it kind of looks like something you would see in futurama but you can put
07:41his
07:43i guess by this point his robotic body to the side and you can take his head
07:49and you can snap it onto the spider legs here like so move the body out of the way here
07:59and now you can have mr freeze with his spider legs
08:04and i'm trying to actually remember whoa put that back there i'm trying to actually remember though if
08:10mr freeze ever had uh robotic legs in the animated series i don't think he did and i i'm i'm
08:18only going
08:19by memory here but i don't believe he did in the gotham knights episode but i think he was a
08:27separate
08:27head and he might have had the legs in the in the uh batman beyond episode where he guest starred
08:35in in
08:36the one episode once again a very tragic story from mr freeze and he was i guess i think he
08:43was
08:43fought out or something like that and he believed he had a human body and it turned out he didn't
08:49and
08:50really really tragic but i like the i like the i like the legs until i fall i knock it
08:56over but
08:56i really like the legs on i think it's neat nice little spider spider uh body there uh the legs
09:03i think
09:04you can see are on ron ball joints so you get a you get a lot of movement from it
09:10and you can have mr
09:13freeze if you're if you're one who still plays with his toys you can have mr freeze attacking the other
09:19members of justice league and whatnot with with his spider body or you can actually take his head off
09:26take his head off here and put the spider body to the side and you can put it back onto
09:32the figure's
09:32body itself which is really what i prefer to have it in but the one good thing about the later
09:41adventures of batman figure line especially like the mission masters like the there was a riddler
09:46and then there was the mr freeze they are actually scaled pretty pretty good to the justice league
09:53figures so for example if you have the justice league figures like i do you can add these figures to
10:00and they don't look too large uh however figures like the creeper and i'm trying to remember some
10:06of the other scale even like the two-face was a little too large for the scale of uh justice
10:11league
10:12but i think mr this mr freeze does still work pretty good and he is just a little bit taller
10:16but that's
10:17the way mr freeze should be but uh there you have a toy spot on the mission masters insect body
