00:03Here's a look at the brand new Funko Pop Movies Mass Universe movie, He-Man and Skeletor.
00:18The official Funko Pop Movies Mass Universe live-action collection features highly detailed
00:23vinyl figures based on the 2026 film release.
00:26The core lineup features the primary heroes and villains of Eternia with specialized store
00:30exclusives also available as a new master's movie.
00:33Grayskull isn't the only one that's powering He-Man.
00:35No, powered by tons of PR, marketing, advertisements, and merchandise galore.
00:40You'd be living under a rock if you weren't aware that there was a new master's movie
00:44in the theater.
00:44And yet, though, despite that, the movie has still only managed to go past $100 million
00:49with an estimated budget of $170 million.
00:52Let's hope, though, the movie can make back the remaining budget.
00:55When the movie moves over to streaming services.
00:58In the meantime, though, a big thank you to the folks over at Funko that did provide these
01:01samples.
01:02We are going to be starting first, though, looking at He-Man and Skeletor before we move
01:06over to the rest of these.
01:07They're available right now in places like Amazon.
01:09So if you guys are looking and big fans of Funko Pop would like to, of course, support the
01:13new master's movie, too.
01:14These should be available right now over on Amazon.
01:17For how tall the figures are going to stand, it's safe to say that He-Man and both Skeletor
01:22are going to be roughly the same.
01:23Maybe Skeletor is maybe just like that much taller, though, than He-Man.
01:27But for this and the purpose of measuring, I think we're only going to stick with He-Man.
01:31He-Man and Skeletor stand at about three and a half inches in height, or give or take
01:36about eight and a half centimeters tall.
01:38I think for this, considering he is the star of the movie, after all, why don't we pick
01:41up first and have a look at He-Man.
01:43He-Man played, I feel, perfectly by actor Nicholas Galtesein.
01:47I thought, I know a lot of people kind of had some reservations maybe about the fact
01:52that he wouldn't be able to bulk on for the role, but yet I feel he was a perfect-looking
01:55He-Man and a pretty good-looking Funko Pop, too.
01:59Funko Pops, by nature, though, generally only have head articulation.
02:02It doesn't really change at all when it comes to He-Man or Skeletor, for that matter.
02:06As you, though, rotate his head, just make sure that you watch for his sword.
02:10It does seem, though, that they've allotted for enough clearance between his hair and
02:13the sword that even then, to rotate a full rotation, it doesn't feel like at all it's
02:17actually rubbing against the power sword.
02:19Speaking, though, of the power sword, get a good gander at this.
02:22There is a space, well, there really isn't a space, though, on the back of his body.
02:25It wouldn't really be the case anyways, because it's not really like he could take the sword
02:28out of his hand and slide it on the back of the sheath.
02:31In the movie, though, he actually doesn't even have so much a sheath.
02:33It's sort of more like a silver clip that he slides the sword inside.
02:38Detail-wise, though, for He-Man, it looks really good.
02:40He's a little fair-skinned.
02:42I think, if anything, though, maybe for a Prince Adam, which we do also have a Funko
02:46Pop release of a Prince Adam.
02:48I feel like, though, for maybe He-Man, they maybe should have maybe darkened the colors
02:52just a little bit on him.
02:53He seems like he's a little too fair and skinned, where I feel like maybe a tan would look
02:57better for maybe He-Man.
02:59Of course, large black pupiled eyes.
03:01Of course, the territory that we generally cover when we look at Funko Pops, I think
03:04the hair looks really good.
03:06Armor looks fantastic on this as well.
03:08Of course, he does have the loincloth skirting down below the big cross emblem there he has
03:13on the front of his chest.
03:14He's a very powerful-looking He-Man.
03:17There, I think, is also an exclusive baby Cringer.
03:20I don't know whether we are going to be getting a full-size Battle Cat Funko Pop.
03:23I certainly hope that's the case.
03:24I know, generally, we don't tend to look at too many Funko Pops here on this channel,
03:28but though, when it certainly comes to the case of Massive Universe movie, loving the
03:32movie, now already seeing it twice, I think definitely there's more enough reason to look
03:37at a Master's Massive Universe He-Man, and for that matter, really, like Skeletor.
03:40That's why we wanted to look at them both in this review.
03:43Overall, again, I think like He-Man looks and translates really well.
03:46The only thing, again, I would probably even offer as a criticism, and it's not even really
03:49that much of a criticism, is that if anything, I probably would have maybe darkened the color
03:53of his skin just a little bit more.
03:54Prince Adam, Prince Adam I could really buy, being lighter-skinned like this, but I feel
03:59like maybe with He-Man, a darker tan probably would have worked a little bit better.
04:03Again, standard levels of poseability, just really with the head back and forth, but a
04:07really nice-looking He-Man.
04:09Now, I feel not only for the star of this review, but also the star of the film.
04:12Jared Leto's Skeletor stole every scene he was in.
04:16He just chomped and devoured every scene that he was in.
04:19I think he just did a fantastic job.
04:21Jared Leto really hasn't made much press when it comes to the Master's movie.
04:24I mean, apparently, he doesn't really even like the role.
04:26It's funny, though.
04:27Why would he have not liked the role when he was so fittingly perfect for it?
04:31Skeletor, again, was just awesome in the movie.
04:33And I think for a Funko Pop, it translates extremely well.
04:36I have maybe one thing I would say that I would have done maybe differently when it comes to
04:41Skeletor's face while really do liking the face.
04:44I like also that instead of just giving him the round eyes, they actually gave him kind
04:47of more of a sneer on his face, what little face he actually has.
04:52I don't know, though, if adding all the actual gray smudging on the front of his face adds
04:57anything really to the facial sculpt.
04:59I think if anything, maybe I probably would have maybe left this part off.
05:03It looks maybe like he has maybe a Skeletor mustache.
05:06Other than that, though, I think the face is, again, fantastic.
05:09What I do also really like about most, if not all, the designs of the characters in
05:12the movie is that they kept pretty close to the original Filmation series.
05:17I mean, again, like Skeletor looks, I mean, obviously they had to modernize it just a
05:21little bit, but I mean, like it looked like Skeletor just came off the pages of the mini
05:24comics.
05:25Maybe not so much the mini comics, certainly, though, more for the Filmation series.
05:29Now, one thing that you can see that he has held in his hand is that of his Havoc staff.
05:34Love the look of the Havoc staff.
05:36Got nice blue, blue glowing eyes.
05:38Very much the same sort of color that he actually has for his main body as well.
05:42Face, again, I think looks fantastic.
05:44I think the purple looks really good, too.
05:46The purple isn't really quite the same color that he has for his hood that it is for the
05:50cape.
05:50The cape does look like it's maybe just a little bit of a darker purple, but I think
05:53the colors are still pretty close.
05:55I do like that they've added some additional airbrushing in there as well, just to help
05:58make some of those details and wrinkles stand out a little bit more.
06:02And like it also in the movie, too, you can see that he has a little bit of like a
06:06white
06:06off-coloring there for his body suit that Jared Leto apparently did actually wear on
06:11set.
06:12Apparently, too, seeing now behind-the-scenes shots, Jared Leto wore the full outfit of
06:17Skeletor.
06:18The only thing he did do differently, obviously, they would have to CG his face, but apparently
06:22he wore like, he smeared like blood staining on his face.
06:26So his face looked off and that maybe just had added to the way that everybody kind of
06:30perceived him in the film itself.
06:32For Skeletor's poseability as a Funko Pop, his head is actually tighter than He-Man's.
06:37Not sure really if because it has like the cape here, maybe the cape is actually slowing
06:42down some of the movement for the head.
06:44Still, though, you can rotate his head all the way around.
06:46And of course, he does also have his boots.
06:48Now, I don't know if I'm giving really much away for anyone that hasn't yet seen the movie,
06:52but Skeletor, we do at sea at one point, does show off his monster feet.
06:57I think that's, again, a really nice touch.
06:58The movie fantastically adds a lot of Easter eggs, things that Masters fans would recognize
07:04right away.
07:05And to take, again, that idea, shrink it down, of course, in size, given the oversized heads.
07:09I think these Funko Pop, and again, this guy, this has come from a guy that just generally
07:14does not collect a whole lot of Funko Pops, but I think that Funko did a fantastic job giving
07:18us a He-Man, giving us a Skeletor, and all the rest of the cast.
07:22The characters that we see in the film.
07:23Even though in this review, we looked at the slightly smaller Funko Pops of He-Man and
07:27Skeletor.
07:28Amazon, though, on the other hand, has bigger plans for the franchise of the series.
07:31In fact, despite having the film underperform in theaters, I think as of right now, it's
07:36only still past $100 million, against the estimated budget of producing the film at $170 million,
07:42Amazon says it's just a single step for a bigger plan moving forward.
07:46They've already announced that they're planning to do a sequel, and they're planning even then
07:49on top of that to make this a lot bigger than what it may be right now.
07:53For when it comes to the bigger plans, we can look at certainly the smaller figures.
07:57Funko Pop does deliver a pretty good-looking He-Man.
08:00Yes, I think he could still probably have been a little bit more tans, but it certainly
08:04does, for me, resonate what He-Man would look like in the film if, of course, He-Man had
08:08large black eyes.
08:09The star of this review, and I feel again the star of the film, was, of course, Jared Leto's
08:14Skeletor.
08:14What is there to say about Jared Leto's Skeletor for those that have repeated viewings of the
08:19Master's movie?
08:20You already know Skeletor steals the show in every scene that he's in.
08:23I feel like between these two Funko Pops that we've looked at, I think I like Skeletor that
08:28much more.
08:29He does have, though, a little bit of paint kind of around his teeth area that I find
08:33is a little, I don't want to say off-putting, but it does take you a little away from his
08:36face.
08:37But I like the coloring that they gave for Skeletor.
08:39And again, like, if you love Funko Pops, and now that you've liked, of course, I'd like
08:44to hope that you've liked the Master's universe movie, I'm sure these will be ones that you'll
08:47eventually find sitting on your shelf.
08:50Now, outside of, of course, He-Man and Skeletor, we've already had a look at, Funko has released
08:54a whole lineup of Funko Pop figures tied to the film.
08:58We will be looking at those in upcoming reviews.
09:00But I wanted to, of course, kind of start things first with the final battle that we see,
09:03both He-Man and Skeletor dueling it out.
09:05I'm not sure how much dueling out they're going to be doing here on the turntable.
09:09But fantastic looking Funko Pops, nonetheless.
