00:12I don't really know if Skelter is that bad of a boss, or if that's just the way he spins
00:15it.
00:16Here's your look at the Mattel He-Man and Master Universe Cartoon Collection 2000X series.
00:20Webster, evil master of escape.
00:28It's an exciting time to be a Master Universe fan.
00:31For long-time fans, for a new generation of kids who love the action and adventure,
00:34it's time to experience the thrilling action and adventures of He-Man, Skeletor,
00:38The Secrets of Castle Greyskull, and much more.
00:41The figures in this collection stand 5.5 inches tall and have 16 movable joints,
00:45so they're highly posable for imaginative and action-oriented fun.
00:48Then, hired originally as a member of Skeletor's Council of Evil,
00:52I'm not going to judge you for the kind of company that you keep.
00:55Still, though, it's funny enough that he's actually part of this same wave as Keldor,
00:58of course, the man who eventually becomes Skeletor.
01:01Before, though, we get a closer look at the 2000X series web store,
01:04let's take the tape measure and see how tall the figure's going to stand.
01:07You'll excuse me if I actually don't count the tops of his legs as part of his height.
01:11I figure, though, we probably would only be interested in knowing how tall the figure's going to be,
01:15and the answer to that is 6 inches in height, or roughly about 15 centimeters tall.
01:20Speaking of Keldor, we can certainly bring in both Keldor and Buzz-Off,
01:24the two other figures that make up this three-figure wave.
01:26While we're certainly also at it as well, seeing as he does align himself with Skeletor,
01:31let's bring in some of the other Skeletor's cronies.
01:34Back in the back, just because he's so big, here's what he looks like with Beastman,
01:37here's what he looks like, obviously, with Merman,
01:39and because I don't have the filmation version of Webster, I don't know his whereabouts right now,
01:43here's what he also looks like with the origin release of him for Webster's accessories.
01:47He's wearing them, in fact, right now.
01:49Four additional legs are packed along with the figure that have to be snapped onto the back of the figure's
01:53body.
01:53I make mention of that because when we had a look at the paper pamphlet that came in clear with
01:57Buzz-Off,
01:58I mocked Buzz-Off, and Mattel for that matter,
02:00for why they would have darkened the back of Buzz-Off's wings,
02:03because after all, I mean, how would you be able to pop and swap them around with another figure?
02:06Where that other figure would also have had to have holes on the back of the figure's body.
02:11Look where we've come now.
02:13I'm going to move that off to the side.
02:14In fact, looking on the back of Webster's body, you can actually see his legs attach onto the top,
02:20the bottom ones on the bottom.
02:21It doesn't have to necessarily be in this order.
02:23They seem, if you're looking at the two, slightly different from one another.
02:27If you really did want to have the longer legs on the top and the shorter ones on the bottom,
02:31you just easily pop these off,
02:35and then you just swap them around.
02:36So there's holes on the top there.
02:38I'm clearly pointing at what you already see.
02:40There's holes on the bottom,
02:41and you just plug those legs in place where you want to put them.
02:45I say that also because when it comes to Buzz-Off,
02:48I'm just going to bring back in Buzz-Off right now.
02:50Buzz-Off actually has the exact same size pegs on the back of his body.
02:54I cheated, by the way, too.
02:56I'm using the legs on the back of Buzz-Off to kind of hold his wing in place.
03:00I'm not so much worried, really, about that wing.
03:02I'm more worried about this one.
03:03If you did want to, though,
03:04I'm just going to move this out of the way,
03:06you could take off.
03:07Not that I really had to work all that hard.
03:09You can plug those actually on the back of Webster's body, too.
03:13The one thing about it, though,
03:14is the top ones plug in a lot easier than the bottom ones.
03:17These aren't, though, right smack dab in the middle.
03:20They're actually tucked a little more up in the top.
03:22So when you plug them in, you plug them in actually at more on an angle
03:26than you plug them straight in.
03:28But just to show you, though, you could mix and match these if you want to.
03:31You know, again, boy, I feel like I got egg on my face.
03:34That just plugs on the back of Buzz-Off's body.
03:36So you could use, really, the legs for Webster on Buzz-Off
03:40and the wings from...
03:41Okay, yeah, you get the idea.
03:42I'm going to remove these right now.
03:44And when, again, you plug these in,
03:46you're going to plug these in on an angle.
03:47Now, you can have them both up like this,
03:49or you can also have...
03:50You could choose instead to have them angled down.
03:53Just plug them in like that.
03:55They stay somewhat securely in place.
03:57I mean, I'm sure, like, as you kind of move things around,
03:59you'll find, like, the legs are going to occasionally pop off.
04:02But that's no harm, no foul.
04:04What a great-looking figure, though, Webster is.
04:06One of my favorite designs, actually, just from the origin days
04:09and even, like, the vintage Webster.
04:10I never really had an original vintage Webster.
04:13Man, oh, man, I would love if I could.
04:15I think initially, though, the character's name was going to be Black Widow,
04:17judged also by the fact he has the Black Widow sort of symbol there
04:21on the front of his chest.
04:22He has, then, two eyes there, larger eyes on the front
04:25and slightly smaller than eyes along the top.
04:28Face has been generally painted really well.
04:31Like with the original Origins and also the vintage before,
04:34he has these kind of tusk teeth.
04:36And I think that Mattel has also done a nice job of painting those all in.
04:40I feel like, though, in the cartoon,
04:41he's larger than really what's being depicted here in plastic.
04:44I feel like he's more of a beast.
04:46Maybe not the size of Beastman,
04:47but I feel like he's probably a little bit bigger
04:49than what we get here with this figure release.
04:51Like the colors that they've given here for the gauntlets.
04:53Nice bright red burgundy.
04:55He's also got that there on the front of his belt there as well.
04:58Loincloth, again, sculpted extremely well.
05:00If you were to really lift up the skirting,
05:02you kind of really already see Mattel has also sculpted the underloincloth.
05:07So it's sort of a loincloth of a loincloth.
05:10And then, of course, that's what he looks like also in the back as well.
05:14He doesn't have the hook.
05:15I mean, certainly if you have the original Origins and vintage, for that matter,
05:18both of them would have had like a grapple line.
05:20This Webster doesn't actually have this.
05:23Unfortunately, the toy line got canceled long before Webster got a figure release.
05:27But there is a staction statue that NECA did put out of a Webster
05:30that, again, like this one, I'd love to get my hands on.
05:34Overall, though, it's a really good looking pair.
05:35I like also the design and sculpt of his feet, how they're...
05:39Well, they are flat, but they sort of have more of an arch look to them.
05:42And he's also got these little kind of talon spikes on the backs of his legs.
05:46Again, the color looks really good.
05:48I feel it's pretty accurate to the cartoon.
05:50The only thing I probably, again, would have maybe said is maybe make this guy
05:53just a little bit bigger than what he is.
05:55Not as big as, again, Beastman,
05:57but I feel like maybe he should probably have been a little bit bigger than the likes of Keldor.
06:02For Webster's possibility, his head's going to be on a ball joint.
06:04It allows the head to do what it's doing right now.
06:07By also the way that the head is angled more than neck.
06:11His head, when you rotate it, it does that weird thing,
06:13you know, where it rotates on an angle and kind of turns around like a clock.
06:17Head looks up, bend down.
06:19You can, of course, move it back and forth as well.
06:21Just a really neat looking sculpt on the head.
06:24Waist does swivel, as, of course, it does.
06:26I mean, usually with these figures, of course,
06:28they're always going to have the same levels of possibility.
06:31With, again, the exception of Buzz Off,
06:32he had some additional things on the backs of his body.
06:35Webster also had some additional posability in his legs.
06:38These legs have hinges to them,
06:40so you can move them back and forward,
06:42and you can also move them forward and back this way.
06:44As sometimes, though, you are doing this,
06:46you'll find that the legs tend to pop out of those holes.
06:48They just need to then pop them back into place.
06:51The arms don't have a bicep swivel.
06:53They, however, do have...
06:55Oh, wait a minute.
06:56I've still got a plastic piece of the tie in there.
07:00Get that out of there.
07:01You don't belong there.
07:02Get out of this.
07:03Get out of this review.
07:04He has a single hinge in his elbow
07:05that allows the forearm to rotate back and forth.
07:08Hands also rotate all the way around.
07:10They hinge back and forth as well.
07:12Likes simply split.
07:13Nice little ball joints working behind the scenes.
07:15They move forward.
07:16They move back.
07:17They rotate as well to the top.
07:19There's a single hinge for the knee.
07:21Lower leg rotates.
07:23Couldn't help but notice, though,
07:24with the lower leg of my web store,
07:26it seems like it's already loose.
07:28This leg's not so bad,
07:29but this leg right here,
07:31let's see, it's getting a little loose.
07:34He has these gauntlets.
07:36Now, this whole leg actually does rotate,
07:38but it does feel like actually they are separate pieces,
07:40so you could, yeah, rotate them all the way around.
07:43The legs, despite their design,
07:45you can actually still hinge them up and down this way.
07:48You can also rock them back and forth this way as well.
07:51I would say also for the sake that he still stays together,
07:55unlike what I could really say about Buzz-Off,
07:57I think Ruckster's probably my favorite from this wave.
07:59I know I said that initially, though, with Buzz-Off.
08:02I still like the look of Buzz-Off.
08:03I'm not so thrilled, again,
08:05by the fact that his wings don't stay in place.
08:08I think by just that,
08:09I would say, like,
08:10these guys certainly are the more interesting ones that we've got.
08:12Oh, there goes Buzz-Off.
08:13Certainly, these two are the more interesting designed characters
08:17from this particular wave.
08:19Not saying necessarily that Keldor...
08:21Stan, Stan, Stan.
08:22Not saying necessarily that Keldor was all that boring,
08:25but just because, again, like, we already have a Skeletor.
08:28He's essentially just doing Skeletor again
08:30with just a slightly different head,
08:31different painted armor,
08:33and slightly darker skin.
08:34I think the standout, really, for this wave
08:37is the Webster and Buzz-Off.
08:39Buzz-Off, I have to kind of take some demerit points away
08:41just because his wings don't stay properly in place.
08:44Webster has a little of that similar looseness.
08:46But unlike, though, Buzz-Off,
08:48I don't really have to worry as much
08:50that Webster's legs are going to suddenly fall off of him.
08:53I think it may have worked in my favor
08:54that I ended up looking at Webster last,
08:56because then I could have said
08:57the praises that I made about Buzz-Off
08:59being one of my favorite design characters
09:01from the 2000X series,
09:02and then again how so quickly that got erased
09:05when we looked then at Webster.
09:07Webster's already got the design
09:08that I liked about the initial character
09:09in the first place, but then you soup him up,
09:12make him bigger, make him bulkier,
09:13and then you add some additional posability
09:15on the backs of his legs.
09:16He doesn't have a grapple line,
09:17but I don't think, again,
09:18like the character necessarily needs it.
09:20He has, at his core,
09:22the design initially of what Webster made,
09:24what made Webster look so cool in the first place.
09:26I like the coloring on this guy.
09:28I mean, again, like he doesn't have necessarily,
09:30if you don't really count the legs
09:31that are attached on the back of his body,
09:33he really doesn't have any accessories.
09:35Yet, though, I don't feel like
09:36he really needs them either.
09:37He still comes in clue with a paper pamphlet,
09:39which, again, I feel so stupidly saying this
09:42when we looked at the Buzz-Off,
09:44saying, like, why would you even
09:45had made something like that
09:47as a swappable option,
09:48when then, in fact,
09:49we end up having the exact same thing
09:51happen here with Webster,
09:52where, yeah, you could take, in theory,
09:54the wings from Buzz-Off,
09:55put them on the back of Webster's body,
09:57and vice versa.
09:59I don't think anybody in their right mind
10:00is going to really be doing that,
10:01but if you are happening to be
10:03one of those customizers
10:04that like to mix and match your parts,
10:05you're probably going to enjoy the fact
10:07that you can mix and match the parts
10:08with both the two figures
10:09that make up this wave.
10:11Can you then swap out the legs
10:12and the wings from Buzz-Off
10:14with, you know,
10:15with the other figure
10:16that we've already had a look at here?
10:17Keldor?
10:18No.
10:18No, you can't.
10:19Keldor has no holes on the back of it.
10:20I guess, technically,
10:21he had holes on his cape,
10:22but that's not going to work at all
10:24when it comes to wings and legs.
10:26What do you guys think, though,
10:27of Webster?
10:28Let me know down below
10:28in the comments section.
10:29Of the three figures
10:31from this new wave,
10:32how would you rank these?
10:33Like, would you put like...
10:35I would put personally
10:37Webster,
10:38even having his flaws,
10:39I would then put Buzz-Off next.
10:41And then just by virtue
10:42of there's only three figures,
10:43coming up in last,
10:44he's getting the bronze,
10:45I would then give it to Keldor.
10:47Would you put it
10:47in that similar order?
10:48Would yours be
10:49in a different order?
10:50Let me know down below
10:51in the comments section.
