00:44I'm not going to be making much more of a mess now that I got this guy out of his
00:46packaging.
00:47But again, I can only speak for myself. I can't speak for the clown.

01:03For how tall also Art the Clown's going to be, the tape measure is telling me he's about 7.5
01:08inches in height.
01:09Working out to be a figure that's 19 centimeters tall.
01:12Oh, and yes, I'd like to thank the folks over at TOTS as well that did provide this early sample.
01:15We have a collection of arts by now.
01:17You could even say that we have a gallery. A gallery of gore.
01:20For other gore that we've gotten from TOTS, in fact, of a slightly smaller scale,
01:24we have a blood-soaked Art the Clown.
01:26We have, of course, one that visited as well, the gift shop.
01:28And we also have one with an eye-popping feature.
01:31For another offering of Art the Clown, from Neck instead of TOTS,
01:34here's what the figure looks like with the ultimate Art the Clown.
01:36And if you need a couple of examples of Scream Greats,
01:39here's what the figures could be compared along with from Michael Myers.
01:42One from 1978. One released by Rob Zombie.
01:45Released with art to wreak some havoc, the figure comes in clue with three accessories.
01:48A garbage bag, a hacksaw, and a swappable faceplate.
01:52Right over here first, we'll look at the garbage bag.
01:54Marking, I'm sure, the first time we've gotten a garbage bag for Art the Clown
01:56that does actually have stuffing inside.
01:59In the past, when we've gotten garbage bags,
02:01it usually is just a little cardboard piece at the bottom of the bag.
02:04It's completely empty.
02:05You'd use your imagination, you'd use some stuff,
02:07and you'd have to stuff it inside the bag.
02:09Well, TOTS has already done that for you.
02:10I'm willing to think it's cotton batting and not body parts.
02:13Oh, please let it not be body parts.
02:16I need to get myself an alibi.
02:18To get this, though, into Art's hand,
02:19first of all, I feel it's better to have him holding it on this side.
02:22Just because, again, his arm's already bent,
02:24it's perfect then to string this over his shoulder.
02:27I find it's also helping as well if you twist the end of the bag,
02:30make it good and tight.
02:31Because when you look at the figure's hands,
02:33the way that the hand is designed,
02:35it's already sort of in a gripping pose.
02:36So once this is tight enough,
02:38it's super easy to slide the bag,
02:40like if he wants to just be dragging it around this way.
02:43Or, again, probably the better thing to do,
02:45again, just make sure it's good and tight.
02:49Tuck it in the top.
02:50And like I did at the beginning of the view,
02:52sort of have him strung it over his shoulder.
02:55Just bear with me for a second as I make sure this is good and tight.
02:59Yeah, you pretty much want to have it kind of looking like that.
03:02Fit it inside his grip,
03:04string it over his shoulder,
03:06and now Art the Clown can carry around his stuff.
03:08Now, either that bag is super light
03:09or Art's just super strong.
03:12I'm willing to think it's the latter.
03:13Get the bag and put it off to the side.
03:15The figure does also come in clue with his hacksaw.
03:20Don't worry.
03:20The teeth aren't sharp enough on the bottom
03:22to draw any bit of blood.
03:24He's going to be drawing enough blood,
03:25I'm sure, for everybody collectively combined.
03:29Yet the hacksaw doesn't have any blood on the end of it.
03:31I would guess, though,
03:32that he's probably just gone out for the night.
03:33He hasn't yet started any hacking,
03:36cutting girls' prices in half.
03:37Oh, actually, hacking girls in half.
03:39This can fit also into his hand,
03:41so if you really look at the hands that he has,
03:43I mean, you could technically put into this grip,
03:45you'd have to, first of all,
03:47pry the fingers away from the palm.
03:48And I've noticed that, actually,
03:50this hand seems like it's a harder plastic.
03:52This hand, though, on the other hand, literally,
03:55seems like it's a little bit softer of a plastic,
03:56and it helps, really, to bend the finger away from the palm
03:59to get the hacksaw in there.
04:00It's not going to be going anywhere.
04:02Well, it's going to be going places,
04:03it's probably places that you really don't want them to go.
04:05Like the look of the hacksaw,
04:06now, again,
04:07the way that the body's designed is also,
04:09like, right here,
04:10you can kind of see that the wrinkles are kind of folded in,
04:13like, pushed in.
04:14So if you want to have, like,
04:15either his arm extended,
04:17or, really, if you'd like to have Art's arms down,
04:19they fit perfectly parallel to the rest of the figure's body.
04:23Lastly, though,
04:23Art the Clown does come in clear with a swappable faceplate.
04:26Even though, to be fair,
04:27this isn't really the face that comes with the figure.
04:29I'm only just trying to get the hacksaw out of his hand.
04:31This isn't really, to be fair,
04:32the face that comes with the figure when you get him out of his packaging.
04:34But I figured it would be a good place to start.
04:37Usually, though,
04:37when we've looked at Art the Clowns,
04:39he's always smiling,
04:40always showing off those gnarly teeth.
04:42But what I do really like, though,
04:43about the Scream Grates release by Tots
04:45is that they gave you two different faces
04:46that aren't just Art the Clown smiling all the time.
04:49Now, I know most people probably would gravitate right away
04:52to the idea of having the figure displayed
04:54with his just disgusting-looking teeth visible.
04:57But I think there's something to be said
04:58by having Art the Clown also with just his regular,
05:00like, neutral expression.
05:03It doesn't give you as much of a chance
05:04to kind of see his gross-looking teeth.
05:06But I tell you, though,
05:07it still gives you a chance to see
05:08the talented work behind the scenes
05:10of all the artists there
05:11that very painstakingly sculpted this figure
05:14and painted it as well.
05:15Like eyebrows, his eyes,
05:17and certainly even like the little dot
05:18that he has on the end of his nose
05:19has been very carefully detailed on the figure.
05:22Of course, he does have the little hat there
05:24on the top of his head
05:24that isn't removable at all.
05:26But what is removable, though,
05:27on Art the Clown, you already know.
05:29You can take the face off
05:30and swap it out with this one instead.
05:32To do that, just kind of hold on to the sides,
05:35wiggle back and forth.
05:36No, you don't need to wiggle.
05:37You have to wiggle the face and remove it.
05:39And it isn't so much, though, a peg.
05:41It's kind of more of a rectangular peg
05:43with an extra little square.
05:44Once that's popped off,
05:46take the new face that you want to use
05:47and just pop it back in place.
05:49Hey, that's super easy.
05:50It is.
05:50And that's what the face sculpt then looks like.
05:52I'm sure down the road,
05:54Tots would be smart to release this figure again
05:56with blood all splattered across his body.
05:58But it certainly is a strong contender
06:00for why you'd want to get more than one of these figures
06:02so that you could display Art the Clown
06:04with this face sculpt or this one instead.
06:08Even though I think, again,
06:09most people probably would end up going to this face sculpt,
06:11I don't know.
06:11There's something to be said
06:12of having Art the Clown look a little bit different
06:14than all the other ones that I have on my shelf.
06:17For the rest of Art's body,
06:18obviously, you can really look at it down the divide.
06:21He has black on one side,
06:22he has white on the other,
06:23and then he's crisscrossed
06:24and alternated the colors then on his sleeve.
06:27Everything is really bright and white on the one side.
06:30Everything is really dark and black on the other.
06:31And it doesn't seem at all
06:32like they put any bit of blood
06:34anywhere on the figure's body.
06:35But you know, again,
06:36I'm sure they could easily use this mold again.
06:38Of course, he's got the pom-poms
06:39there on the front of his body.
06:41Scuffed up, also clown shoes down below.
06:44Actually, it's the one time that we see this figure
06:45with something scuffed up on the black.
06:48I do think that the clown shoes
06:49look really neat on the figure.
06:50And of course,
06:51one thing that isn't quite pristine and white either,
06:53the figure does have slightly darker,
06:55grimier looking gloves.
06:58Nothing.
06:59It's funny that Art the Clown
07:00has disgusting looking,
07:02like grimy, dirty gloves like this.
07:03And yet the rest of his body,
07:05again, I guess he goes to the laundromat
07:06often to clean his clothes afterwards.
07:08But his gloves,
07:09probably just something that he just throws away
07:11and just buys himself another pair
07:12or just probably just steals it
07:13from a homeless person he finds.
07:15Wrinkles look good on,
07:16again, Art the Clown.
07:17He's not going to have much really
07:18in the way of possibility.
07:19I mean, to be expected really
07:20with the scream grates.
07:21Expect at most,
07:23just only having a swivel in his head,
07:25swivels in his shoulders.
07:26The figure does also benefit
07:27from also having swiveling hands too.
07:30Again, like really look,
07:31I like the look of the wrinkles.
07:32Overall, it's just a good looking figure.
07:34And he scales perfectly too,
07:36like just to bring back in Mikey Myers
07:38here from the 78 film.
07:39If you were to be the one
07:40to display all your scream grates on the shelf,
07:42they seem to scale them extremely well.
07:44Now, obviously,
07:45if you're going to be putting them
07:46against Rob Zombie's Michael Myers,
07:47there is going to be a size difference
07:48between the two.
07:49But to have these two on the shelf,
07:52believably,
07:52you could look at the two
07:53and know that they're from
07:54the exact same line.
07:55Let's move Michael Myers now out of the way.
07:57Four, Art the Clown's articulation.
07:59I said again,
08:00it was a little more on the simpler side,
08:01but I don't think it's so much
08:03the charm of having these figures
08:05being superposable
08:06that why people are collecting
08:07the scream grates as much as they are.
08:08I think they just like to collect
08:10those kind of vintage looking retro figures
08:12like the old movie Maniac days.
08:15Art the Clown,
08:15because of that,
08:16only is going to have
08:16a standard swivel in his head.
08:18You could take the head
08:18and rotate it all the way around.
08:20Yeah, you could rotate it
08:21also his arms all the way around too.
08:24Now, whereas Michael Myers
08:25would have had a swappable arm,
08:27Art the Clown is always really going to have
08:28a bent arm on one side,
08:29a straight arm on the other.
08:31The hands do rotate back and forth,
08:33back and forth.
08:34I was actually surprised to see
08:36that the figure doesn't have
08:37any articulation in his legs,
08:38but I guess it probably
08:39would have made better sense
08:40to put no possibility there
08:42just so the figure
08:43could stand perfectly straight.
08:44And he stands fine.
08:45He stands perfectly fine
08:46whether he's got a bag
08:47in his hand or not.
08:48And of course,
08:49just to bring back in
08:50the Michael Myers
08:51from the Scream Grates line,
08:521978,
08:53I think it was the Scream Grates
08:54Series 1 Michael Myers
08:56that we got.
08:56And again,
08:57just to show you guys
08:57what he looks like
08:58with an Ultimate Art the Clown
08:59from NECA Toys.
09:01He's a good size.
09:02He's a good weight.
09:03That's the thing I really also like
09:04about the Scream Grates
09:05is that there's some good
09:06hefty plastic.
09:07Yes.
09:09He doesn't, again,
09:10have much in the way
09:10of possibility,
09:11but, you know,
09:11again,
09:12that goes with the territory
09:13that we've covered
09:13when it looks to Scream Grates.
09:15Most of these figures,
09:16again,
09:16like Michael Myers
09:17was really no different.
09:18He only just had
09:18swivels in his arms,
09:20swiveled hands,
09:21and, of course,
09:21the ball joint in the head.
09:23Art the Clown,
09:23again,
09:23like,
09:24has pretty much the same
09:25ball joint.
09:26Did I say a swivel?
09:27Yeah,
09:27of course,
09:27he does have the ball joint
09:28up and down.
09:29You rock it slightly
09:29back and forth as well,
09:30but again,
09:31ball joint in the head,
09:33swiveled shoulders,
09:34and swiveled wrists.
09:35That's about all you really need
09:36for an Art the Clown.
09:37What I think I take away
09:38from the most for this figure
09:39is just a really neat-looking art.
09:41I know, again,
09:41most people probably
09:42pick this figure up
09:43with the idea in mind
09:45that they're probably
09:45going to stick maybe
09:46with the head sculpt
09:46that he starts with
09:47getting out of the packaging,
09:48but because, again,
09:49I have so many smiling arts
09:50on my shelf,
09:51I might actually end up
09:52going with this head sculpt.
09:53I just think it's really cool.
09:55If you are digging
09:55the disgust
09:56of Series 3's
09:57Art the Clown,
09:58just know, though,
09:59that Screen Grades
09:59Terrifier Art the Clown
