01:11it's not a bad looking batman but how's the cape crusader looking with keaton's colors we're gonna
01:16be answering that question in a second first i'm sure let's take the tape measure and figure out
01:20how tall the figure's gonna stand yet another batman and with only just wave 2 right now
01:26batman has made appearances well we've already got one with wave 1 and we get this batman and if that
01:32wasn't enough there's a jokerized batman as well that's two figures in wave 2 i feel like maybe we've
01:38wasted a slot when a potential better character could have been fit in instead for how tall though batman's
01:44going to be in a stealth suit i'm looking at this guy first being about six and a quarter inches
01:49in
01:49height give or take working out to be about 16 and a half centimeters tall holy bad bodies in fact
01:55when
01:55it comes to bad bodies he's using the same body as the batman from wave 1 down to even the
02:01fact that
02:01they're also using the compartment with the capsules for his utility belt he got a slightly different
02:07utility belt and a slightly different color costume this was the one where he had to fight clayface
02:12he had to also then fight bane in another two-pack where again had the similar style of utility belt
02:19so far the only one that has slightly different belt was the one that where he had to fight clayface
02:25that's not even counting the two-pack batman that got paired then with killer croc there's also a
02:30three-pack batman that's going to come with mr freeze and hal jordan green lantern differently though
02:36with those other packs is that batman's going to have sporting different armor if you want just the
02:41basic bat bodies though this is the one that has the same similar suits similar suits aren't the
02:46only thing that make reappearances in fact batman does come include with first of all some accessories
02:51that you probably have already seen before he does also come this time around with a bat rack which
02:56i know we've gotten before but not in this color usually with most racks that we've gotten they tend
03:02to be gray this time around though batman's rocking it in blue i gotta say i like kind of the
03:06look of
03:06the blue rack rather than the gray rack these can attach when you have multiples of these there's
03:11these clips on the sides and you can see there's slightly thinner parts of like little posts of
03:16plastic you attach these so and i've actually got three of these by now so you can attach them and
03:22you can either have them angled this way or if you happen to have yourself a third one we've got
03:28almost the makings of a cage that can catch a clown prince of crime although probably be not a good
03:34idea i think to have weapons there for joker to steal i'm sure that would be the easiest way for
03:38him to escape speaking of escaping though one thing with the accessories is that they attach by these
03:45pegs just to show you though the one that came in clue with batman if you decide like batman wants
03:50to
03:50go on a mission he could just pull himself off a batarang for example from the rack and he can
03:54attach
03:55it onto the back of his belt this bat rack works the exact same way the rack doesn't always stand
04:00very
04:01stable though i've noticed if you have the base all the way on there and you start to put like
04:05the
04:06accessories on it tends to lean forward one workaround to that i find is just to pop this off
04:13and push it down but don't push it in all the way i find it just gives you a little
04:17bit of leverage
04:18angle it back just a little bit i find it gives you just a little bit more leverage and it
04:22prevents
04:22it from falling over now again if you have more than one of these that's not going to be a
04:26problem
04:26because you can easily have them supporting themselves by the sides of them like i said
04:31batman does come in clue with some of these accessories that we've seen before some of
04:34these i don't think necessarily really belong to batman i mean kind of really the only thing i'm
04:39looking at that really does rightfully belong to batman is maybe like the shurikens and the bat
04:43cuffs the bat cuffs we've gotten before i've already got actually the black ones attached to the gray rack
04:48they are exactly the same i don't think there's anything at all that comes with this batman that isn't
04:53one that we've already gotten before the bat cuffs for example is something we've seen
04:57we've also seen these slightly larger shurikens he actually gets two different types of shurikens
05:02i like these ones a little bit more than these and he also comes included with a knife now i
05:07still
05:07think a knife doesn't make much sense when it comes to batman i know he's really against
05:10he kind of pooh-poohs the whole idea of pistols i don't know though does he really feel confident
05:15covering you know having carry around a knife with him by the way though the knife and all the other
05:20accessories can at some point be stored on the back of the figure's body he has three pegs on
05:25the back of his utility belt while again i don't think i really agree with the idea that he's
05:30carrying around a knife you're going to take yourself the knife which way we have this facing
05:34i want to make sure i've got this there we go you can attach it onto the back utility belt
05:39some things don't make really as much sense like say for example this one where the way they've
05:44actually put the slots of plastic here i mean no one in their right mind batman can't really carry
05:49around that i mean how would he possibly sit inside of the batmobile so these would work a
05:54little bit better obviously on the rack he doesn't come with a grapple gun and i still you know with
05:59this batman he's already had a grapple gun before where's an example here this is the previous batman
06:05so he came with a grapple gun a couple of little gas capsules this would be i feel the more
06:10things that
06:10come include with this batman these things some of them have come and i think included with robin
06:15some with nightwing they just don't make any sense i think actually more robin if he did want to though
06:20we can go ahead and attach them onto the weapons rack so again we still follow the format of having
06:25the slots here in the in the weapons we'll just attach them onto the pegs provided some do get in
06:30the way of things so like for example if you want to kind of get this on here you can
06:34attach them on
06:35here but they'll be rubbing up against of course the shurikens there so you may want to decide first
06:41where these things are going to go and kind of put oops but then the shurikens around that but
06:46again you've got several different available spots to rent you can have one down there for example
06:52i think by now you probably get the idea you can also have the bat cuffs right there i know

06:56don't they don't look the greatest um but again like there's at least a place to store them if you
07:00don't want them on batman i think in fact the last time i had a batman on display i kind
07:05of actually
07:05like to display him with the bat cuffs again the only downside though to the bat cuffs is that they
07:10have to go on and they don't fit all the way around so ideally it would be great if you'd
07:15be
07:15able to peg this right here for example so it does kind of look like batman's just got that hanging

07:20the side let's take these accessories we'll put them off to the side and we'll get a closer look
07:26now at batman just move the cape out of the way are we at all surprised that we get ourselves

07:32suit batman i mean usually i mean this goes as far back as like the kenner days of batman that
07:36you know when we started to get like the 89 movie tying figures it seemed after that point we always
07:41tend to get like a mold again that gets released all in black i say keaton colors i mean short

07:46maybe not having a slightly larger oval shape around that it's definitely a lot more of the
07:51tim burton design of batman the suit obviously is exactly the same whether it be again if you already
07:58had picked this up from wave one or for example if you had got it from either clay face or
08:03the bane
08:03two pack it is yeah using the same body again the only thing that is a little bit different as
08:08i
08:08already had said if you had picked up the clay face batman his utility belt so far is the only
08:14one
08:14that's a little bit different it's got larger pockets instead of these gas capsules batman really
08:19doesn't have much room for anything else i mean obviously he can just easily store his accessories
08:23on the back but again like this one i think works a little bit better again if you kind of
08:28really
08:28want like the movie keaton batman i wouldn't necessarily give him the larger pockets he still has
08:33though still a very very thin faint outline here in gold face sculpt looks pretty good he's a very
08:39tanned batman as the closest one i could probably compare him to even like the clay face batman i
08:45don't think it's maybe it's about the same color it seems almost like he's not as dark of a tan

08:50this batman here's the one that came in clue with bane so it's i guess they're all about the same

08:55or take the cape is again one thing that is done here in fabric off my chest you probably didn't

09:01that i just knocked over a whole bunch of the racks over on the side batman's cape again does
09:06have a hole that goes on the back of his body there is a hole peekaboo right there i can

09:11there's a hole that goes all the way straight through the cape if you happen to have yourself
09:15a backpack something now the clay face batman came with a rocket launcher so that could technically go
09:21on the back of this batman's body even though right now out of stock out of packaging the figure
09:25doesn't actually have something that goes on the back of his uh i don't think again like much does
09:30really get changed here with this batman um even again like even if you look at the inside of his
09:35body here for example i guess there's technically one thing that is slightly different batman has i
09:41guess that batman also had it too did the previous batman let's just grab wave one here yeah wave one
09:48batman had it too it seems like it stands out though just a little bit more on the black suit
09:53say he's
09:53actually got a little bit more texturing sculpting here on the side of his body it's maybe not as
09:58obvious here on wave one batman maybe i guess now i see it here with the clay face batman that
10:03they've got some additional sculpting in there as well now that carries also its way into the thigh
10:09too so there are some areas that are slightly smoother and then there's the areas that have
10:13these lines embedded into the plastic so i do like there's a little bit of varying just sculpting
10:18going on there boots are exactly the same it doesn't look like they're using slight you know
10:21they're not using different boots at all same gauntlets just different color that's all that's really
10:26different between this one and the previous batman from before and of course clay face batman
10:30different utility belt utility belt by the way too you can also detach so there is a peg right here
10:38the peg actually i wouldn't even really say it's a peg the whole part of the belt buckle fits inside

10:44frame first couple of times you do this i find after a while starts to get a little loose and
10:51i'm sure
10:51and i've said this with the review of the first wave batman that i would not be surprised at all
10:56that if you don't find these things in thrift stores with the utility belt missing because i'm sure as
11:00kids are playing with these they're not always going to be quick to return the utility belt when
11:04they're done with the joker stealing it for stealth batman's articulation it's pretty much the exact same
11:10as every other batman we've looked at so far head's going to move up and down back and forth it's
11:14on a
11:15ball joint head rotates also all the way around turn turn turn the arms go all the way around you
11:21can
11:21also hinge them out he does have not again a bicep swivel but a swivel here down below in his
11:27forearm
11:27there is only just a single hinge and what does that single hinge do everybody yes of course it
11:33bends bends back and forth hands rotate all the way around you can hinge them back and forth there too
11:38i don't know if how i don't know if i've said this that much with the previous batman but the
11:42hands on
11:43these figures are very soft and gummy i guess that's a good thing especially when it comes to getting
11:48weapons into their hands waist swivels sometimes though as you are rotating the waist you'll find
11:53that the belt shimmies its way up legs move forward and back and out there's ball joints there
11:59three cords the way up the thigh there's a swivel cut that allows the leg to rotate all the way
12:03around
12:03figure does have a double hinge in his knee now i had looked at john stewart this week and i
12:09noticed
12:09that the figure had looseness in his legs batman despite how many times this figure's now been
12:14released his legs still seem like it's pretty tight there's a little bit of articulation down
12:20below here goes a long way it's good that he has it here because he sadly again doesn't have it

12:25these figures still from the dc core have yet to have ankle articulation but i'm sure though that
12:30mattel is probably setting that accessory that bit of articulation aside for eventually the release
12:35of the dc premiere again it's interesting that these are called really technically core and yet
12:40advertised online sometimes you'll see listings where they show it as dc premiere which again i
12:46think confuses more collectors again displaying him alongside i don't know how many people probably
12:51would just be picking up batman with the plan to have them all displayed all on the shelf together
12:55i might just mix this up a little bit i mean just the idea of having the exact same mold

13:01to only cause your spouse anybody you're living with to come downstairs and say well why would you just
13:07get about what you have all of the same figure in just different various colors that's when you just
13:13decide you're not going to talk to them for the rest of the night ah i know again it's a
13:18hard sell
13:18with figures like this we know i mean as the dc core they're geared towards the kids that like with
13:24subsequent waves that they release that they're always smart to at least throw a batman in there
13:29the downside though with that is that wave two doesn't just get one batman it in fact gets two
13:35the second batman is actually a jokerized batman which i think my plan is not necessarily to have
13:41it displayed as a batman that's been turned to the joker rather instead i think the clown prince
13:46of crime becoming the cape crusader himself now i do like the look of stealth suit batman i'm more
13:51against the idea not that he is included in this wave but that he's also included in the same wave
13:56as
13:56a jokerized batman that makes now two slots that are being occupied by the cape crusader when really
14:04again if you want to throw a batman in there that's fine i if if anything probably would have
14:09kept the jokerized batman for a third wave that then there could be the rule that mattel would
14:14look at the waves and say okay like for every wave that we're going to release there's going to be
14:18a
14:18batman as part of that wave but to occupy two slots with essentially the same figure and really
14:25essentially the same mold i seemed still feel like it's a little excessive the black suit does look
14:30good for batman and i think also this head sculpt lends well to the idea of doing it in black
14:35and
14:36instead necessarily blue accessories again are carried over from previous figures we've already
14:41gotten in the core line so again there's going to be a lot of rehashing and reusing of existing molds
14:47is that necessarily a bad thing no again because this is geared towards kids after all i can't expect
14:52that every single figure is going to have a unique mold of accessories dedicated to them exclusively
14:57in the end though it's a good looking batman it just doesn't necessarily need to have yet another
15:03batman that we're going to be looking at in an upcoming review in fact this week what do you guys
15:08though think of stealth suit batman let me know down below in the comment section do you feel like
15:12again like i get it mattel wants to make sure that their flagship character batman gets included
15:18with every wave but do you think like maybe by now we're only two waves into this line so far
15:24do you feel like maybe there's i don't know too many batmans that have been released in this line
15:29thus far i know a lot of people really hated on todd mcfarland for including as many batmans as he
15:34did
15:35todd also sprinkled in other characters there too he didn't just bog the line down with batmans
15:42and that seems to be the problem facing the dc core so early into the line's existence
