00:16It looks like you went from cleaning rooms to cleaning house.
00:19Here's your look at a brand new Mattel, Math Universe movie, Origins, Roboto, Heroic Mechanical Warrior.
00:29Roboto thought her battling days were over, but the heroic Mechanical Warrior has another
00:34shot at adventure, when Prince Adam returns to Eternia with the Power Sword.
00:37Roboto's epic skills are unleashed, blasting through Skeletor's evil forces.
00:42What a hero arc.
00:43Roboto went from cleaning up barf to cleaning out bad guys.
00:46Before, though, we get a closer look at the Massing Universe movie, Origins, Class Roboto.
00:50Maybe, in fact, we'll take the tape measure first and figure out things.
00:54Those things happen to be how tall the figure's going to stand.
00:56Clocking in, it seems, at around 7 inches in height.
01:00Roboto also seems to stand about 17.5 centimeters tall.
01:04The scaling for Roboto seems about right when you bring in Origins movie He-Man.
01:08About the same could also be said as well when you bring in Spike Orb.
01:12Then things get really out of whack when you compare with the oversized likes of Trapjaw.
01:17Now, I did really think this was going to be the other way around, but here's what Origins
01:21Roboto looks like along with Combat-Ready Roboto, also from the Masters film.
01:26Thinking, though, that the size was going to be the other way around, I really did expect
01:29that this one was going to be a lot taller than the Origins, but you can see for yourself
01:33that that isn't the case at all.
01:35She is, however, though, dwarfed when you compare her with the 2000X series Roboto, and
01:39she is taller, though, than the Origins.
01:41Roboto did come in clue with a character index card.
01:43Of course, I can't find right now.
01:45Now, the figure, however, does come in clue with a paper pamphlet, and maybe while I
01:50didn't want to spend as much time talking about the things on the paper pamphlet, I
01:53will say, though, that all the things that are in gray are all the ones marked that are
01:57removable.
01:58I wouldn't say that you'd be able to mix and match the parts.
02:01You'll see in a second that doesn't make much sense at all.
02:04It's funny, though, that these are all the parts that can be removed, and yet, really,
02:08the thing that can also be removed is the front dome that she has on her torso.
02:13So, why would I spend so much time carefully folding this?
02:15We'll put that to the side.
02:17Roboto's accessories, she comes included with these top, I guess they are rocket launchers.
02:23They could also very well be lights.
02:25These just snap onto the top of the torso of the figure's body.
02:28I'm going ahead and actually showing you guys where those are.
02:31There's a hole in a hole.
02:32Take those slots and just fit these.
02:35We want to make sure, of course, you've got them going the right way.
02:37Okay, that goes on one side and the other.
02:40Does it go on the other side?
02:41Yes, it does.
02:42Yes, it does.
02:42It goes on the other side as well.
02:46I probably shouldn't have spent the time to do this because I did also want to show you
02:49guys how the dome comes off of Roboto.
02:51I guess before we actually look at our arm cannon, let's take these back off.
02:57And the dome of Roboto, if we just move the head out of the way, does detach.
03:00Take the front part of the dome and just detach it like that.
03:06You'll see on the inside, actually you'll see right here, there's two pegs on the top,
03:10two pegs on the bottom, and then those will fit into the sides.
03:13And then these clips will clip onto the back side of the dome.
03:18This also does detach as well.
03:19So you may want to remove the collar piece first.
03:22And then this piece snaps off too.
03:25Now a couple of times that I've done this, it makes that sound that you just heard right
03:29now, it's a very uneasy sound, but you can take those dome pieces off completely.
03:34You get some cool sculpting on the underside.
03:37However, though, nothing unfortunately is painted.
03:40Now the way that Roboto is sculpted sort of lends the idea that this is the way that the
03:45character looks at the very end of the movie.
03:46I'm not going to give anything away that has, no one has seen the chance or had the chance
03:51to really watch the Masters movie.
03:52But there is a change though that Roboto does experience.
03:55And near the end of the movie, actually Roboto looks a little bit more like the vintage toy.
03:59They've done a nice enough job to sculpt all little cogs and wheels, but without actually
04:03painting some of those things, those details unfortunately get lost.
04:07By also making the changes that they do, one thing that unfortunately that they have left
04:11off is coloring the tops of her thighs red, because that's the way that she would have
04:15had it in the film.
04:16By the way, though, there is no working feature.
04:19Unlike, though, the vintage toy.
04:21Unlike, though, let's just put Roboto down here for a second.
04:25Grabbing here the one from Origins.
04:27Origins, when you did turn it, it actually not only turned the dial, but it also opened
04:31and closed Roboto's mouth.
04:33Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yeah.
04:34This Roboto, I guess, from a savings of funds, I mean, obviously they wouldn't have gone in
04:39there and sculpted these things as moving parts.
04:42So unfortunately, though, you can still turn the torso, sure, but yeah, none of the cogs
04:47or none of those wheels will actually turn on the figure.
04:50When it comes time, though, to putting all the pieces back the way that you found it,
04:54we'll just kind of line everything up the way that we had it, and again, like when you
04:58put them back in, there's those pegs, and we'll just plug those in place like that.
05:03Now, you can also put the collar in right now.
05:04I find it's actually a whole lot easier if you put the collar the opposite way.
05:07Well, you put it in the last time.
05:09Make sure everything is kind of snapped together.
05:11Make sure these clips are fastened on the sides, and make sure that's sort of snapped in
05:16place.
05:17It'll actually hold fairly well.
05:19Like, you don't really have to worry that these are going to be coming off on you.
05:21I do find, actually, one thing comes off frequently, and that's the collar piece.
05:25You kind of, actually, I find just take the helmet off first, take the head off first,
05:31and then take this piece here, and those will slide inside the front.
05:38Now, you could, again, put this piece on afterwards, but if you slide these in like
05:42that, and then this piece snaps on the back, it stays okay.
05:46Sometimes, though, when you are moving Roboto's head, you'll find, like, the collar does tend
05:51to lift up, but you just have to make sure, of course, you put it back where you found
05:54it.
05:55Speaking of putting things back the way that we found it, let's take Roboto's head,
05:59move the ball peg just a little bit further forward, and we'll snap it in place.
06:04Is it all the way on there?
06:05I think it's all the way on there.
06:07Okay.
06:08Let's put these back where we found them.
06:11Combat Ready Roboto already had these, and I always end up putting them on the wrong
06:14way.
06:14So, that goes in on one side.
06:16That goes on the other side.
06:18Now, let's talk a little bit about our arm cannon.
06:21Now, this arm cannon should really go on this side, but there's nothing really saying that
06:26it doesn't have...
06:26It can't go really on this side of the figure's body as well.
06:29You'll see, though, on this side, Roboto already does have a spinning claw.
06:33The claw looks good.
06:35I wish this was lifted a little bit more.
06:37I'm sure, though, I could probably just put this a little bit in hot water, submerge
06:41it, and then I'd be able just to pry these open just a little bit.
06:44But this does spin.
06:46Not only does it spin for a practical purpose, but it spins also because this is attached
06:50essentially the same way as this hand is.
06:53But if you did want to change out the cannon, first you'll hold on to the forearm, pop the
06:58hand off the peg.
07:00I don't know.
07:00Is it just me?
07:01That peg seems very thin.
07:03Then you can take yourself the cannon arm, and that plugs into that hole.
07:08Now, let's say, if I get this all the way on here, sometimes you may actually have to
07:12push a fair bit of pressure on there to get this plugged in place.
07:16It is sort of one thing that is a problem when it comes to Roboto.
07:20This sometimes also moves back and forth, too.
07:23It'll just sort of twist it back and forth, plugging it.
07:26Well, not fully in place, but it does plug into the one side of the arm.
07:30Now, if you did want to, this could technically grab this side of the figure's body, pop off
07:36the clamp like that, and you could really also put the arm on this side.
07:40Now, if you were to really match it to the way it looks in the film, I think really that
07:43the cannon arm should go on this side, the claw on the other.
07:46But no one is really going to, I'm sure, tell you that that has to be on this side of
07:50the
07:50figure's body.
07:50If you have friends like that, pick better friends.
07:53Those aren't the friends, really, that you want to have in your life.
07:56But let's just say, let's, if we want to stick to movie canon, stick to movie canon.
08:02Again, I don't know why this side always seems to have a harder time of plugging this in place.
08:07It always all, is it all the way on there?
08:10No, it's not.
08:11It almost does seem like there's something blocking that hole.
08:16Plug it all the way in.
08:17No, it just doesn't seem like it wants to stay in.
08:20Now, this isn't just by the fact that I've got the camera recording right now.
08:23I always find that that cannon never, you know what I'm going to do?
08:27I'm not going to fight this too much.
08:29I'm actually going to take the cannon arm.
08:31I'm going to put it on this side of the figure's body.
08:33Now, that may not be proper ways, the way it looks actually in the film, but at least
08:38it's going to stay in place.
08:39This does also detach as well.
08:41So you can plug that just back in place as well.
08:43And we'll also take the claw.
08:46As you can see, that snapped perfectly fine.
08:48Is it really the way it's supposed to look as like in the movie?
08:51No, it's not.
08:52But again, I'm just going with this right now just because it's so much easier.
08:57Roboto's colors look okay.
08:58I would say like maybe the colors are a little bit too dark of a blue.
09:02In the movie, though, while she's still cleaning up Duncan's puke, the colors, though, of Roboto
09:07seem to be kind of more of a lighter kind of grayish blue.
09:10They've gone instead to go with more of a darker blue.
09:12And I think it works okay.
09:14But again, my one thing, if they change this to the clear dome on the front, the way that
09:19Roboto looks at the end of the movie, then yes, really, the tops of the thighs should
09:23also be red, not blue.
09:25I know it's just a bit of detail that they had to leave off just because I'm sure the
09:29cost of the figure.
09:30They did technically put some red here on the sides.
09:32That same red should again be on the tops of the thighs as well.
09:37Roboto's articulation.
09:37The head's going to be on a ball joint.
09:40Despite having all the collar around it, you can actually still move the head fairly
09:44freely, though, making sure, of course, you've got the head completely on the ball peg.
09:49The head can also move back and forth, up and down.
09:51A little bit of a rock as well.
09:53By the way that these are also attached, these can also move back and forth.
09:57Are they missiles?
09:59I'm sure they're more missiles than they are lights.
10:01Did we actually even see Roboto using these in the movie?
10:03I don't feel like we do.
10:05The waist does swivel.
10:06We've already established that.
10:08Again, there's no working gimmick there.
10:09One thing I didn't notice, though, about the arms is when you do move the arms sometimes
10:12around, they are prone to popping out the pegs.
10:15Yet, right now, they don't seem to be doing that.
10:18But I've sometimes had the arms popping off the pegs.
10:21And again, I'll just have to pop those back in place.
10:24There is no shoulder swivel.
10:26Well, it swivels here at the top.
10:27There's nothing here necessarily in the bicep that swivels.
10:30But the forearm does, in fact, swivel all the way around.
10:33There's a hinge back and forth.
10:35There are two.
10:35Now, again, whether you want to have the cannon arm on this side or if you want to have the
10:38claw on this side, I mean, they really would work the exact same way.
10:42The only thing you wouldn't really be able to do is take the claw, would take the regular
10:45hand.
10:46You wouldn't put it on this side because the thumb would be facing the wrong way.
10:50Same works, the same way works on this side as well.
10:53The legs do split out.
10:55Forward and back.
10:55Not too bad there.
10:57A little bit of a swivel there at the top of the thigh.
10:59Single hinge in the lower leg.
11:01Like, this piece also does move separately from everything else.
11:05It's unfortunate, though, because this is also a very loose piece, and it's always sort
11:09of swiveling loose on the figure when you're trying to move it around.
11:13Ankles move easily up and down.
11:14You can also rock it back and forth as well.
11:16If I haven't mentioned it, I'll mention it now.
11:18The figure does also technically have pegles on the bottoms of Roboto's feet.
11:23It is a fun-looking figure.
11:24I think, you know, now that I've looked at the Origins figure, bringing back in combat
11:29ready.
11:30I mean, it depends also how you really want to have these displayed.
11:32Some could just say, because I think that this is a little bit more of an impressive
11:36Roboto, you could have it displayed with the Origins.
11:38You could also have it displayed as well with the Core.
11:41I don't think anybody's going to tell you otherwise.
11:43Again, when it comes to displaying the figures, I think most people that are only sticking
11:47with collecting the Origins rather than the Core might just, again, not choose to get
11:51the combat ready and instead stick with the Origins.
11:54The only thing, again, like, it's such a sore thumb.
11:57No, not on Roboto.
11:59But it's a sore thumb seeing the fact that Mattel did make, like, a Trapjaw so, so large.
12:04Had Trapjaw been the proper size of, like, say, Spikeor and He-Man, then I think then Roboto
12:10would, like, make better sense being the size that she is.
12:13She's bigger in the movie.
12:14She'd be also bigger as a figure as well.
12:16Roboto does have a few malfunctions to her.
12:19I don't mean nearly blowing Duncan's head off.
12:21One of the problems I find facing this figure is trying to swap out the cannon arm.
12:25The claw seems to be fine, and you can actually put it on either side of the figure's body,
12:29but yet the cannon, which does use the same size peg, I find you have a real struggle trying
12:35to get it to attach onto the arm itself.
12:37Sometimes, though, the arms do pop off their sockets, but like everything else, they work
12:41with pegs so you can easily plug them back in place.
12:44The torso having that dome on the front works cool because you can actually detach it.
12:49I know with the cost of producing this figure, the idea of having moving cogs would probably
12:53be a big no-no because obviously just the cost of the figure would be even that much more.
12:57I feel like even if they saved the price of producing a figure that had working cogs,
13:02one thing at least they didn't have to skimp on, though, is the colors.
13:05There are colors, though, that are completely absent here on Roboto that you do see in the film,
13:09especially near the end. She has gray forearms. Those aren't here on the figure.
13:13She has specifically, though, some blue painted on kind of lines on the front where the dome would be,
13:19and those aren't there either. But the biggest strike sort of facing this figure when it comes
13:23to the absence of paint is that she doesn't have the top red thighs. Now, I could go in there
13:27and I
13:28could paint it myself, but I would have hoped, though, that a figure like this would have already had
13:32that's getting out of the packaging. Despite that, though, I still like the look of Roboto.
13:36I like this one also a lot more than Combat Ready Roboto, a figure that we've already looked at from
13:40the film. What do you guys think of Roboto? Let me know down below in the comment section. I'll have
13:44you guys pick this one up for yourself. Do you already have Combat Ready Roboto? And you're like,
13:48you know what, guy, bro? I'm okay just keeping that one. If you guys did also enjoy this video,
13:53please, of course, do it to solid and hit it with a like. Want to follow what I'm also doing
13:57on my
13:57socials? There's links for that. But if you need a fix for video content, there's a spot for that.
14:02And it's right here inside the videos.
