Hiya Toys Behemoth Review (2019 Godzilla KOTM) – Biggest Monster Figure Yet?!

00:04Here's a look at the brand new Hyatt toys, Godzilla, King and the Monsters, Exquisite Basic, Bohemoth.
00:18In the film, King Ghidorah is first seen frozen in the Antarctic ice at Outpost 32.
00:23He is freed by Emma Russell and Alan Jonah's team as part of their plan to manipulate the Titans and
00:27renew the world's ecosphere,
00:29proving impossible to control King Ghidorah with the Orca.
00:32He temporarily succeeded in unsurping Godzilla's dominance, spontaneously awakening the other Titans
00:38and commanding them to begin destroying both humanity and the world's ecosystems.
00:42Deep within the rainforest, the Behemoth is awakened from under his deep slumber.
00:46The brand new Exquisite Basic Series Behemoth action figure faithfully recreates its on-screen appearance,
00:52standing 16 centimeters tall, featuring multiple parts of articulation,
00:56allowing Behemoth to stand upright with a raised head and various poses,
01:00perfectly capturing the majestic presence of the ancient Titan.
01:04Behemoth's massive fur-covered body and powerful long leg are strikingly rendered.
01:09The signature tusks are meticulously painted, resembling ancient gnarled tree roots.
01:14The beauty of these Hyatt pieces is that you don't have to start looking through the rainforest to find the
01:18Behemoth.
01:19You only need to go online in places that generally are stocking and selling the Hyatt toys.
01:23In fact, actually, the Godzilla King of the Monsters Behemoth is slated to drop online in October 2026
01:29for the asking price of $59.99.
01:33A big thank you to the folks over at Hyatt toys that did kindly provide this early sample we could
01:37have a look at,
01:38where in a second we'll be bringing in another couple of King of the Monsters,
01:41self-proclaimed, of course.
01:43But how tall this is is going to vary depending on how you're going to want him posed.
01:47The Behemoth not only can be on all fours like you're seeing right now,
01:50he can also go upright on his back hind legs too.
01:54Based at least on this configuration, I'm going to go from the back of its tail,
01:58or the back of its legs, to the front of its tusks.
02:00Behemoth is about 8 inches in length, or give or take about 20 centimeters long.
02:06Again, depending on your configuration, but the way that I have it right now,
02:10Behemoth is about 5 1⁄2 inches going by the spike that he has on the top of his back.
02:15And that, again, is going to work out to be about 13 1⁄2 centimeters tall.
02:19As for your comparisons, it's entirely up to you which King of the Monsters you'd like to use.
02:23Right now, though, I'm actually using the standalone movie Godzilla,
02:26because I feel like it's probably properly sized when you display him along with the Behemoth.
02:31I feel from what I remember that the Behemoth is going to be about the same size.
02:34Maybe he's just going to be a little bit smaller,
02:35but I feel like this is probably the better size to go with when it comes to displaying this guy
02:39on the shelf.
02:40Then again, another King of the Monsters.
02:42This one's more self-proclaimed.
02:43Here's what the figure looks like with a very large, very large wingspan.
02:47If I could just bring the camera up right now.
02:48Here's what he looks like with King Ghidorah.
02:50Yeah, I don't think I was that off on the size.
02:52Behemoth in the movie stands 354 feet or about 108 meters,
02:56whereas your standard-sized Godzilla is at 394 feet and topping at 120 meters.
03:02For Behemoth's accessories, though, unfortunately, they're light.
03:05In fact, what you're seeing right now is all the things that come in clear with the figure.
03:09What? You're not looking at anything?
03:10Well, no. The figure doesn't have any other swappable hands, for that matter.
03:14It doesn't have any interchangeable tusk pieces either.
03:17This guy comes out of the packaging, and he's already ready to be displayed on the shelf.
03:21He's a creature, though, that's made of many parts.
03:23The most of the part that you generally are probably looking at is that of a prehistoric woolly mammoth.
03:28However, though, if you kind of look at him from the front, you can very much see influences made by
03:32that of a gorilla,
03:33with the way that his arms are sort of displayed.
03:36He's also part sloth, too, and you don't see really as much of the sloth aspects until you start to
03:41kind of look at his claws.
03:42The way that the claws curl in like this, and he has these very long, sharp nails.
03:48Now, that, I don't know, means he's actually going to be able to scale across trees.
03:51That would also be able to be under the idea that there's going to be giant trees in the rainforest,
03:56at least that we know of.
03:57But this thing, I would imagine, would be able to probably climb trees quite quickly with the aspects that he
04:03has pulled from the sloth.
04:04The nails, though, while being, yes, sharp, you really can feel them, actually, when you put your skin against them.
04:10They are, though, making use of a softer, slightly softer plastic.
04:13So there's a little bit of bend to them.
04:15They're always, though, going to be in a curl position like this.
04:18Again, I say, like, it would have been nice maybe that they could have included a swappable handpiece.
04:22But really, again, like, what would you do with those hands anyways?
04:25Would they just be fanned out claws?
04:27That probably would make very little, no sense.
04:30For the head sculpt, it's very interesting.
04:31It's really kind of hard to make out the eyes.
04:33They are small.
04:34They are painted.
04:36Although it's really hard to kind of make them out.
04:38The tusks were things that I thought with the figure was going to be poseable.
04:42Yet, from what I can see, at least, there's nothing at all on the behemoth that you can actually turn
04:46the tusks.
04:46There's, granted, to be fair, a lot more poseability in the head and in the neck as well.
04:50But there's nothing happening here in the tusks.
04:53Saying that, though, doesn't take, I hope, anything away from the tusks.
04:56I think they're really nicely painted.
04:58They're supposed to look kind of just like raw tree roots.
05:01And it looks really nice the way that they've sort of got, like, parts of these kind of wrapped around
05:05the tusks.
05:06The head is actually interesting in the sense that he has this furry collar piece to it.
05:11But actually, the way that they've designed this, it sits inside the cavity of the body.
05:15So when you have the head down, for example, a lot of that actually now gets tucked inside the torso.
05:20And when you bring the head out, for example, now you get this, all this extra splendor to see.
05:25Really nice sculpting, though, on the under collar of it.
05:28Of course, all in the belly there as well.
05:30Very small feet there on the back.
05:31They're actually kind of more like hooves.
05:34But you can kind of, again, very much see, very much aspects of a gorilla when you're looking at the
05:38back of the body.
05:39Now, again, if you wanted to, you could really have the behemoth on all fours.
05:43If, however, though, you wanted to choose to have this guy displayed on his hind legs,
05:47you just would, like, bring the legs back a little bit.
05:50Kind of just arch the arms just a little bit and also bend the elbows.
05:54Bring also, make sure, of course, you can bring the head down, too, so you can see what he's doing.
05:58But, despite what looks to be a very top-heavy figure, he is still top-heavy,
06:02you can still successfully get the behemoth standing on his twos rather than his fours.
06:07The one thing I worry, though, about that, you're adding now a lot of weight.
06:11There's weight, really, to the figure itself.
06:13Now, you're adding and asking that of these tiny little legs.
06:17While it's holding its weight right now, it's not sure, I'm not sure if it's the kind of weight that
06:21I would want to have constantly on the shelf like this.
06:23Because I feel like just a little bit of a bang, this thing might budge and fall over.
06:28I mean, it seems to stand pretty good, providing, again, you just get that right balance going between the arms
06:33and, again, the tusks on the front of its body.
06:36Just to show you guys what it looks like also on the back as well.
06:38I get also a little bit of warthog here, just by the way that the back is designed.
06:43It's a really interesting-looking creature, though.
06:45For the behemoth's articulation, the head is going to be on a ball joint.
06:49Now, I say it's a ball joint.
06:51It doesn't so much move up and down this way.
06:53It has a little bit of give, but more of the give actually is coming from the neck.
06:57The head can, though, however, rock back and forth.
07:00So if you want to have it looking slightly off to the side, you can easily very much pull that
07:04off.
07:05Again, there's no articulation here to the tusks.
07:07I thought maybe that they could have put something in there, whether it be a ball joint.
07:11But instead, they decide to have this as all one sculpt, where it maybe loses some of the posability.
07:16It more or less, more than enough, gains it, though, in the paint and the sculpting of the figure.
07:20So again, like, while he doesn't have anything in the tusks, the head certainly can move back and forth.
07:24The head can also move up and down with, again, the help of this collar piece for his neck.
07:29And again, when you want to have that, you can have it closer to his body or you can have
07:32it further out.
07:33For his arms, they rotate all the way around.
07:36They do rotate all the way around, but as you sort of get to the top of the shoulders,
07:39you have to kind of take a beeline and angle them out.
07:43But they do still succeed in rotating.
07:45You can bring also those arms out.
07:47Not really, I would say, at 90 degrees.
07:49A little less, perhaps, maybe 40.
07:51There is a swivel here in the arm.
07:53Not a lot, though.
07:54There's a hinge there, too.
07:55Now, the way that the hinge works, there's a hinge here.
07:58And further up from the fur, there's also a hinge there as well in the forearm.
08:02So he actually does have, in fact, double hinges.
08:04A hinge and a hinge.
08:05Hands do rotate all the way around.
08:07Just watch those soft hands, whatever you do.
08:10The back of his body does swivel, and it swivels a lot, too.
08:14You can take the torso and move it, certainly, up and down as well.
08:17The legs move forward and back and out.
08:20There is also, despite really being small, there is a ball joint here at the knee area of the creature.
08:26Of course, there's also a secondary ball joint down below.
08:28And with these tiny little hooves, I guess they would be really less hooves,
08:32because you can actually see that there's individual digits.
08:34These tiny little feet have an ankle pivot.
08:37They move back and forth and up and down.
08:39Would I have this figure displayed on his twos?
08:42Even though he's capable of it, I would say no.
08:44I don't know if I really have a plan to do that, just because, again, like, I feel like
08:47it is possible, it is plausible that you can get this guy on his hind legs.
08:52But I just feel, again, like that's a lot of weight, asking of those tiny little legs.
08:56That I feel like over time that that would probably start to weaken on the figure,
08:59and that those legs would then give way.
09:01Of course, when you have them displayed like this,
09:03I probably maybe should have brought in at King Kong for better comparisons.
09:06But then to bring in Godzilla.
09:08Now we have way more towers over Godzilla,
09:11where it was really the other way around when we brought him in initially for size comparisons.
09:15As it is a sellable feature for the behemoth,
09:18I've chose to have him rotating on the rotisserie,
09:19probably not the best of ideas,
09:21on his hind legs instead of all fours.
09:23From what I remember, at least in the 2019 film,
09:26I don't think that the behemoth ever does walk around on his back twos,
09:30instead sondering around on his fours.
09:32The only memories I really actually have of behemoth,
09:34because it's been a while that I've seen King of the Monsters,
09:36is him smashing the side of a skyscraper with his giant tusks.
09:40And at the end, when all the other monsters are surrounding their king.
09:44But if that's a look that you wanted to pull off,
09:46again, I would say, like,
09:47that's probably adding a lot of unnecessary weight to its lower legs.
09:50I would suspect most people, probably planning to pick up behemoth,
09:54have plans more so to have this thing on fours instead of its back twos.
09:58Now, this guy is slated to drop October 2026 for, again, a very low price.
10:03Hyatt toys, I don't know how they're able to list these figures for the prices that they are,
10:06but the behemoth from the 2019 Godzilla King of the Monsters is only selling for $59.99.
10:14Round it up a penny, you're getting a figure that's $60.
10:16For a figure that's posed and detailed as well as it is,
10:19I think $60 is not a bad price at all.
