00:00Good morning. A different day on the cards to what we've become accustomed to.
00:04More on the way of cloud. A chance of rain through this morning, but more significantly into this evening
00:09where the weather front pushes south and eastwards across the country.
00:13We've got low pressure in charge this week, so a series of weather fronts will move across the country,
00:17bringing a risk of outbreaks of rain and some showers to many areas by Wednesday morning.
00:23But through this morning, it's quite a murky start across western areas in particular.
00:27It will brighten up a little bit as this rain pushes into more eastern areas.
00:31We're going to see not too much really reaching the ground, but it will certainly turn much cloudier through the
00:35end of today.
00:37Showers will continue through much of the day across more northwestern areas, heavy at times across the very far north
00:42of Scotland.
00:44Now, despite there being more cloud around, it's still going to feel quite warm across the very far south coast
00:48temperatures.
00:49Still in the mid, slightly higher 20s elsewhere, though, much closer to average high teens or low 20s.
00:56So much more what you'd expect for this point in the summer.
01:00Into this evening, the rain continues in sherry form across more northern areas.
01:04But across the south, we see this weather front take form, which brings a chance of some more significant rain
01:10to more southern areas.
01:11It's not going to be particularly heavy, but I think most areas will probably catch a little bit of rain
01:17reaching the ground by Wednesday morning.
01:19That clears away through the early hours of Wednesday, but it does make for a fairly humid night across many
01:25southern areas, temperatures around 13 to 14 degrees to start the day.
01:30Very far north, though, seeing more of a northerly wind, so it will feel a little bit fresher with stronger
01:35winds affecting much of northern Scotland.
01:37So a mixed start on Wednesday, more in the way of sunshine than we will have seen this morning.
01:42And showers will continue into the rest of the day.
01:45Now, these showers do bring a risk of thunderstorms.
01:48We could see some hail as well as lightning through the day and some fairly intense downpours that bring a
01:54risk of surface water flooding across more northwestern areas of Scotland.
01:59Further south, we could see some heavy showers here and there.
02:01Not everywhere is going to see these showers, but they could reach just about anywhere across parts of England and
02:06Wales.
02:07And you will really notice them when they do push through.
02:10It's going to feel cooler quite widely across the country on Wednesday.
02:14Temperatures widely around average 20 to 23 degrees across southern areas.
02:18Cooler than that as we look further north as we've got this northerly wind continuing.
02:22So it's going to feel pretty fresh across the very far north throughout Wednesday afternoon.
02:28And it remains unsettled into the rest of the week.
02:30Further showers, further risk of thunderstorms as well.
02:33But Claire has all your details on your full week ahead forecast on YouTube.
02:37And I'll see you again soon.
02:38Bye-bye.
