00:00Skeletal remains of a 35-year-old woman have been discovered near an Arika nut plantation.
00:06In Nela Mangla, the victim, identified as Yamuna from Tumakuru, had been missing since 21st March.
00:13Her skull and bones were recovered from Hale Nijgal village and her identity was confirmed through a bag and ID
00:19card found at the scene.
00:20According to police, Yamuna was married to Malik Arjun around 19 years ago and had two children.
00:25However, she had left her husband 8 years ago with a man identified as Raghavendra.
00:31She returned to her husband after 5 years.
00:35On 21st March, her birthday, Yamuna allegedly went to meet Raghavendra after he insisted on meeting her.
00:42She went missing the same day, following which a missing complaint was registered.
00:46Preliminary investigations suggest she may have been murdered and her body dumped to destroy evidence.
00:52Police have registered a case and launched a search for the accused.
00:55The remains were identified by family members at the spot while further forensic examination is underway.
