Lucknow: A disturbing video has surfaced from the Vikas Nagar area near Gulachin Temple, showing a man allegedly filling a domestic LPG cylinder with water, raising serious safety and fraud concerns.

According to information, the accused, seen wearing a gas agency uniform, is captured on camera lifting a cylinder and checking its weight before proceeding with the act. He is then seen scooping water from a nearby bucket using a glass and slowly filling the cylinder by pressing a pin with a screwdriver-like object. The entire incident was recorded by a person standing nearby, and the video has since gone viral on social media.

Experts have warned that such tampering with LPG cylinders can be extremely dangerous. It significantly increases the risk of gas leaks and potential explosions, posing a major threat to public safety. They emphasised that such acts could lead to serious accidents.

Officials from the Food and Civil Supplies Department stated that efforts are underway to identify the individual seen in the video. As of now, it remains unclear when the video was recorded and which agency the accused is associated with.

DSO Lucknow, Vijay Pratap Singh, confirmed that the matter is under investigation and assured that appropriate action will be taken once the authenticity of the video is verified.

The incident has triggered outrage among local residents, who have termed it a serious breach of consumer trust and public safety. They have demanded strict action against those responsible and called for a thorough probe by the administration.
