Missing case drama unfolds in Hassan, Karnataka 🚨

Priyanka (29), who went missing on February 12 after being last seen near the Belur bus stand, was traced safely after police revealed her disappearance was allegedly staged to leave her husband.

Her clothes, slippers and vanity bag were found scattered near Kalkere Lake, triggering fears of murder over gold jewellery reportedly worth ₹20–30 lakh. Divers and drone teams were deployed, but no body was found.

Technical analysis of her mobile data led police to a lodge in Kunigal, where she was found with a man identified as David. Hassan SP Shubhanwita confirmed that Priyanka had allegedly switched off her phone, planted belongings near the lake to fake a murder scene, and travelled secretly to meet him.

Police said she did not want to continue her married life with her husband Rudresh and planned to start a new life with David, who was reportedly set to be transferred to Madhya Pradesh. She had also allegedly taken jewellery worth around ₹30 lakh.

After questioning, Priyanka was placed in a comfort centre for counselling and protection. No murder or abduction was reported, and the missing case has been officially resolved.
