A shocking incident has emerged from Fatehpur district, where three members of a family were found dead inside their house in Chauferava village under the Kotwali police station area late on Wednesday night.

The deceased were identified as Sushila Srivastava (55), her son Amar Srivastava (28), and her brother-in-law Sunil Kumar Srivastava (around 54).

According to police, the bodies were discovered inside the house with several cut marks on the neck and hands. Investigators also recovered multiple empty **** pouches and four blood-stained blades from the scene, indicating a violent end.

During the investigation, police reportedly recovered a death note believed to have been written by Amar Srivastava. The note claimed that the family had been facing threats of being falsely implicated under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act in connection with a financial dispute.

The note alleged that mounting pressure and intimidation from certain individuals pushed the family to take the extreme step.

Police and forensic teams immediately reached the spot, cordoned off the house and collected evidence. Officials said the claims mentioned in the note are being verified as part of the investigation.

According to reports, Sushila’s husband, Sushil Kumar Srivastava, a van driver, had reportedly returned home and discovered the bodies inside a locked room.

Villagers expressed shock over the incident, describing the family as well-known residents of Chauferava village. Authorities are now examining CCTV footage from nearby areas and questioning relatives and acquaintances to reconstruct the sequence of events.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and further action will be taken after verifying the allegations mentioned in the note.
